Big congrats you are making progress!!! The fact your body is preparing indicates your labor will be easier in the long run :-) How have you been feeling? Are you ready???????

Part of me would love to go into labor right this minute, but the other part of me wants to hold off at least one more week to know that Naomi will be a "full term" baby.

Take care,
Cowgirl

Oh how exciting! the 1st little babies coming real soon!!!! I cannot wait to see those photos!!!

I pray all will be simple for you....I will check in more, I have a new blackberry but for some reason it doesnt forward emails from the forum so I will get it sorted that way I have no excuse not too check in!

Hope you are all doing really well, my little Sis only has 2 weeks to go and she is real ill and sad, has blood and masses of protein in her urine which has been there for over 2 weeks so we need to keep her bp down as she feels real poorly and fed up now! poor kid... :( It makes me sad to see her in so much discomfort and the midwives are no help at all so makes everything worse....they have been the most stressful thing about this whole process!!!

Well take it easy all....thinking of you!

I'm so ready.... I think I'm anxious to see my little sweetheart. I would be happy w/ labor started right now (especially since I've made it to 37 weeks).

Also the nursery is almost all done... all we have to do is hang her valance, paint her name & hang it and finish little things. My bag is packed and the car seat is installed... we're so ready!

no baby for me either... but i was 2 contractions away from a trip to L&D... we were having contractions yesterday that got as close as 7min apart... then i drank a jug of water and layed down and they started spredding out... there were some really strong ones that brought a tear to my eye.. my appointment is tomorrow... so we'll see then, i'm going to get checked again, just to make me feel better that the contractions were actually doing something...

like you guys..... I'm so ready.. i had my DS's b-day party, and that's over, so now we can have this baby... if we do not induce tommorrow or the next day, he did say that i could try the "other" ways to get things started...i have an acupuncture appointment on Thursday, to do acu to start contractions, and bought some raspberry leaf tea, and thinking about caster oil (altho i heard that it's bad) but just thinking... i really do not think that it will take much to get things really going..

tasha- are you walking?? did your doc say that you could do the "other" natural things to get things going/? some wait till after the 38 week mark... my doc gave me the ok because i'm 3cm and gave birth early with my others and my risk factors... i've just never gone into labor, always been induced.. enjoy the weather... try not to get to hot tomorrow or the next... well into the 80's.. i think that i'm going to go sit outside and enjoy my lilacs... i LOVE how they smell!!!!!!!!!!!!

angellica-hope that the next few weeks fly... i hope that your sis is ok.... if she's got all that... they should get the baby out... i'll say a prayer...

cowgirl- i got your message... i hope to take my laptop with, but not sure that they even have a connection/?? never thought about it.. so i'll be sure to write your # down, and take it with, that was a great thought!! thanks!! i can not beleive that we are all getting so close, i have a hard time thinking of having this baby... then i get a huge contraction, and it reminds me of what is to come.. lets hope that i'm 4cm and 60% by tomorrow, then it will be really easy to get this baby going out... we have a ton of parties and events in the next few weeks, and i do not know when we're having the baby to see if we can go or not, then we'll have to see what the baby is like... i'm hoping for a layed back sleeper... (i can dream right)

casy- good to hear that your DD adjusted well... it's great... glad that you are off work too.. sounds great, and you know what... you are having a baby in a couple of months or less... but you do have time to work on the nursery.. so enjoy yourself!!

kim- hope that you and the twins are doing good... take care..

rachael-and nance- hope that you guys are well... take care!!

i hope that everyone enjoys and has a good week... maybe we'll have a baby or two by weeks end... fun fun fun!!

Hi Everyone,

Wow, I am so excited for all of you that are so close. I can't wait!!!

I hope everyone is doing well and resting as much as possible.

Tasha - I don't blame you for being anxious to see your little one. Think of it by this time next week you will have your baby with you. Congratulations on having your nursery almost finished. That must feel so nice. We are still no where near that yet. The furniture is ready to be delivered but my DH is taking his time painting and sanding and whatever else he is doing so I can't have it delivered until he is done. Hopefully that will be sometime before Lily is off to college but at this point it is a close call.

Angellica - Wow, your sister is really close. What an exciting time this must be for your family. Do you live close to each other so your little ones can grow up together? How are you feeling? I logged onto photobucket. Roman is so very cute!

Cowgirl - Congratulations on the great dr's appointment. Sounds like you are doing very well. June 6th is right around the corner and will be here before you know it. Your DH sounds like mine. He could not even turn on the computer without a detailed diagram and instructions.

Kim - How are you feeling? Good luck at your Dr's appointment tomorrow. Check in and let us know how it goes.

Rachael - How is training your replacement going? How are you feeling?

Casey - How are you feeling? Is your cold any better? Any news from the blood test? Let us know as soon as you hear. How does it feel to have only 4 more days of work left? You must be so excited.

As for me I'm doing ok. This weekend I was not feeling too great. Not to be too graphic but my "parts" have been feeling sore and I feel as if there is a lot of pressure "down there". I guess maybe that means that the baby is in a position that is pressing against something making me uncomfortalbe. Has anyone else felt this way? I have a Dr's appointment on Wednesday so I can ask him them. Everything else is fine. I am loving the fact that I only have 9 days of work left and can't wait to start decorating the baby's room.

All my best,
Nancy

take care

Colleen- Yeah my doctor told me to keep walking, have sex, and I could also do acupressure.... so I'm trying to find someone in the area. Do you have any recommendations? Yeah I'm going to try and enjoy the weather and get a little color while I can... I plan on sitting on my deck w/ a big bottle of water and some magazines to read. We actually have several parties to attend to in the next few weeks as well... and I don't know how to reply because I don't know when the baby will be here. 2 of them are actually out your way... Lake in the Hills & Huntley (family parties). Good luck at your appointment and make sure to keep us posted.....

Nance- it's good to hear from you... sounds like your little one is putting some pressure on you down below, which is actually a good thing. I felt so much of that this weekend myself... we were at the mall yesterday fr a little bt and I had to stop several times to catch my breath because the pain was intense (shooting through my woo woo). Good luck at your appointment this week and let us know what your doctor says.

Hi Again,

Colleen - We must have been posting at the exact same time. Yes, my backside also feels a lot of extra pressure. I'm not peeing that much more often though. I hope that means that she is getting into position. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that you are at least 4cm by the time of your appointment tomorrow. Let us know as soon as you get back. Did you have any more contractions today? If they induce you do they do that at the Dr's office or do they put you in the hospital and do it there? Sorry if that is a silly questions I am so new to all of this stuff.

xoxo

tasha- i see an acupuncture guy in crystal lake... which is probably to far considering that lake in the hills and huntley are far ( i live in Lake in the Hills, and my back yard is Huntley)... i know that masage therapists sometimes will know acupressure... i know of one in Cary, but i think that is a little far too... considering that the contractions can start right away... i too am trying to get some color.. actually have a good tan going, but the back of my body still doesn't have much... and our pool is to cold to lounge in... i just want to float around laying on my tummy... if only the water was warmer!! the cool nights make the temp drop in the pool...

well have a good day, and think of me if you do go to the parties in LITH or huntley, we are just around the corner!!!

Colleen- yeah those are all a little to far for me, just in case contractions were to come on. I might try and find something in Elgin or Streamwood... there's got to be some place. I'll think of you if we head out that way this weekend.... however maybe we'll both be in the hospital this weekend!

tasha- do you know if the hospital has a connection if we bring our laptops?? i never asked, and just thought of it... be sure to let me know, and i'll let you know if we are going to the hodpital... we'll have to look for each other if we are there at the same time...ps (i was asnwering nance and thought of this)... ask them to strip the mambranes.

nance- i guess that we were posting at the same time... if they induce it's at the hospital with the IV(pitocin) because i'm already dialating, and they do not have to ripen my cervix... when the induce you are there till the baby comes... sometimes they will strip the mambrans at the office and some people start contracting after that.. but time wise for me that's not really a problem, because i tend to have short labors, even when induced.. so a little while after they start we have a baby... i'm so hoping that it's this week... by friday would be nice, or over the weekend... easier for someone to watch our DSs... and yes i have contractions today... they are no pattern, but 3-4 an hour and not as strong as yesterdays... so who knows what is going on down there... hopfully something good...

take care

Colleen- I'm not sure about the wireless connection.... I think my DH asked while we were in class so I'll ask him tonight and get back to you tomorrow. Well if I'm not any further along by this weekend (Saturday at my appointment) I might ask my doctor to strip my membranes to move things along.....

Colleen, I jelous! I would love to be having 3-4 contractions an hour :-) I have a few a day but not near that many. I really do hope Tasha and you have a successful weekend!!!!! :-) And we get to see pics of those precious baby's on Monday! :-) Then its on for Kim and me :-) I know I can handle two more weeks, but if anyone understands how a woman feels it is you girls :-) That is why this group means so much to me! My husband tries but he is rather old fashioned and thinks pregnancy is easy because woman didn't have the issues that I (we) seem to have. I haven't slept in 3 days and he was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worried about me driving to work this morning and he got up several times last night and asked if there was anything he could do, but I didn't know of anything that would help.

Take care everyone!!!! Keep on walking :-)

Wow! I can't believe how close some of you are getting! I am going to have to check the posts morning, noon, and night!

Tasha--good luck dilating this week! As for getting color, I've been getting tan so much more easily while preggo. I'm usually pretty fair (not as fair as Pam), and I just tend to get freckles, but I swear I get tan just from stepping outside! It's crazy! Enjoy your last week of lounging...once she's here, there won't be much of that!

Angelica--I hope you sister can deliver soon. Those midwives sound useless. I pray that all goes well for her pronto!

colleen--I'm glad the b-day party was a success! Enjoy the calm between the storms! :)

nance--I'm like you...I've had quite a bit of pressure and cramping down low. I know it's pressure from the babies. It's just getting a lot more uncomfortable. 9 days left of work for you--whoo hoo! Good luck at your appt. on Wed.

Cowgirl--YOu might want to start tutoring DH now...have him practice posting for us! :D (I promise, we'll be nice!) You and I might be delivering at the same time. However, I'm hoping to hold out a week longer...we'll see though. I'll be 36 weeks on June 8th. I'd like to make until then or later. I just want these babies to cook cook cook! Of course, I get more and more uncomfortable each day, so I might change my mind by then!

I swear it feels like we just found out we were pregnant. I know it's been ages, but time has simply flown by!

I'm trying to schedule all my last "pampering" appts. over the next week or so...just in case double trouble comes early! I want to get my hair highlighted, a pedicure, eyebrow wax, and get my dog groomed! He hates it, but he looks so darn cute when he's cut! :) I also have an appt. next week to get the car seats in. Then, I THINK we're ready?

Good luck tonight gals! I hope we can get some sleep tonight!
