hi girls.. nothing new YET my appointment is later this afternoon... i took a little walk with my DS and did some squats... weird, i know... i'm going to asked to be stripped today, and maybe that will get the real thing going... i'm kind of sick of the contractions, then they stop then they start.... ect.. i'll post this evening after we get back from the appointment..

i think that i'm going to lounge in the pool... hope that the water is not too cold... i could not get the heater working this am... so we only have the sun power to warm the water.. well off to outside.. i'll do personals later this evening, and hope that everyone is well...

Colleen--How'd the appt. go? Are you at the hospital delivering right now? TAke care!

Well, I went to the dr. today, and I was in for a SHOCK! While my BP is great, the babies' heartrates were strong, but my cervix is now 80% effaced. Which is a big difference from last thursday's appt. I guess Baby A is putting so much pressure on my cervix, that it's thinning out. I'm not dilated yet, thank GOD! But, my doc has now put me on modified bed rest. I had a feeling this day would eventually come, I just wasn't prepared for it. She is allowing me to go to work 1/2 day tomorrow and Thursday in order to wrap things up with my students and transition with my substitute teacher. Then, I'm home until the babies come. Oh dear! I will have to rent some movies or something, cause I'll go nUTz! :? But, I will do whatever it takes to help these babes cook as long as possible. Keep your fingers crossed that I'll be a good patient! (My poor dog doesn't get it...he wants me to play with him and walk him like usual...he's in for a shock....) Oh, I also have to go in twice a week for NST...at least it'll give me something to do!

I hope the rest of you are well. Any babies today? Tasha?

No baby here yet either.... just more pressure & cramping. I'm hoping by Saturday I'll be far enough along that we can have her come out over the weekend.

Kim- wow sounds like Baby A wants out soon... tell that baby to calm down and relax (must be a girl). Well looks like we have another girl joining us on the bed rest thing... although I have not been so good at the bed rest thing (especially now). I've been doing laundry, cleaning, baking & shopping. I'm hoping by doing all of these things Aubrey will arrive sooner.

Well enough for tonight... I hope everyone is doing well and I'll write more tomorrow in between my time in the sun!

I just wanted to jump on and check on all you girls :-) My mom is here right now and my son graduates HS tonight so things have been busy. :-) I have been doing well, a few contractions but not too many. I did have a rough few days because I COULD NOT sleep for 3 days I was exhausted. But I now am doing better in the sleeping dept so I feel much better.'

Kim, you have done a great job cooking those babies and I am sure you find much comfort in knowing if they did come today they would be okay. It doesn't surprize me with 2 in there you would efface quicker and it is great news that you are not dialating yet! You could still make it to that 36 week mark with no problem. :-) I will say a prayer for you.

Colleen, I thought once you start dialating swimming in a pool was off limits. That is what they told me with my daughter, but maybe things have changed. That is great that you are making such progress. My next doctor's appt is not until Tuesday. I am very ready, but at the same time I will gladly wait till the 6th :-)

Tasha, I feel your pain about being ready. I am sure the added feelings of knowing you are the furthest along, ready to meet your baby and knowing that Colleen could go before you adds to that. I just remember when I was PG with daughter, they told me for MONTHS I would go early and then there were other girls that were due after me had their babies it made me MISSERABLE. Do you know if you have started effacing at all? I don't know if your doc can strip your membranes with out some softening, but good luck!

Well I will check in tomorrow since I am back to work :-( at least it is my work from home day. :-)

Take care,
Cowgirl

Good Morning Girls...

Cowgirl- On Monday I was actually 30% effaced and 1/2cm dialted... so in the very beginning stages. My doctor seems tot hink I'll be 2-3cm dialted by this Saturday, but we'll see. So because my cervix is soft I'm going to ask him about stripping my membranes.... he's pretty old fashioned so who knows if he'll do it or not.

Well have a great time at the graduation tonight.... you must be so excited.

More to come later girls...
Tasha

Hi All,

I just wanted to check in quickly to see if we have any babies yet. Wow, it looks like we might have a few in the next couple of days. I have to run out to the Dr's but will check back in when I get back to see how you are all doing.

Kim - Hang in there. You are doing great. Try to take it as easy as you can and stay in bed. Tell your DH to rent you lots of movies and get you some magazines.

xoxo

hi girls... we are still here, no baby yet... trying to hold out a day or two more... we'll see ... DH keeps saying that we are going to go longer then we all think.... i hope not considering i'm so ready!!! we do have an US tomorrow... so we'll get to see the baby again...

nance-your day is coming soon... only a few more days of work, right?? hope that you are taking care of lily!!

tasha- hope that you are dialating... remember to relax when you have a cramp or contraction so it works better... we'll cross our finger (when they are not too swollen) that you are 2-3 by saturday!!! try not to do too much

cowgirl- you scared me... i never thought about not swimming, but i called the doc and he said as long as my waters are not broke, i'm free to swim.. it's our pool, so i know that there are no nasty stuff in it!! i'm going to jump in right after i'm done with this post!! hope that you are sleeping better and that your DS's graduation goes well!!!

Kim- enjoy the time, it will go by quicker then you think... just think or the little ones growing and getting bigger... i'm big on visualization and meditation

Hi gals...

Tasha--You crack me up...you are soooo nesting! Take it easy though. YOu don't want to overdo it. I know you want Aubrey to come, but she'll come when she's ready. I'll cross my fingers for ya...I'll watch the boards on Saturday to see if you've made it to the other side!

Cowgirl--Have a great time at the graduation! I can't believe you have one graduating and another one on the way! Wow! Enjoy having your mom around. Hopefully she can help you with last minute preparations.

Nance--How'd the dr. appt. go?

Colleen--Any day now for you.....you must be so excited! I'm not too worried about mine coming yet. I just have this feeling that they'll stay put. Maybe I'm being naive, but I prefer to live in the "ignorance is bliss" stage. (I honestly do not want the pregnancy to end yet...it's been so exciting...I know it will be wonderful when the babies are here...but this will probably be my only pregnancy..soooo.....I want to savor every last minute! Well, except for heartburn...)

Tomorrow's my last 1/2 day of work. The kids were bummed to hear the news, but honestly, I'm glad to be done. My sub will handle the last two weeks just fine without me. And yes, I'm going to rent a boat load of movies to keep me occuppied! I am not confined to total bed rest yet, so I"m going to get a few last minute errands done. (Like I did get my hair done today--my hairdresser had my feet propped up, it was so funny!)

Take care gals. We'll see if May 24th is a magic day for any of you!

Hi All,

I hope everyone is doing well. My Dr. appointment went just great. Lily is doing well with a strong heartbeat. Dr. said everything looks good (knock on wood) and that the pressure/pain in the "you know where" is completely normal and that she just dropped lower so that is a good sign. I go back in two weeks and he do an internal at that point and see where we stand.

Kim - Have fun at your last 1/2 day of work tomorrow. Let us know how it goes. You are doing such a good job at keeping those babies in. It is fantastic that you made it this far already. I'm sure that you will make it at least another week or so. Enjoy this time and make sure your family spoils you.

Colleen- I hope that your ultrasound goes well tomorrow. Let us know how it goes and post any new pictures on Photobucket for us.

Cowgirl - Have a great time at the graduation tonight. I'm glad you are sleeping a little better.

Tasha - How are you feeling? I'll keep everything I have crossed that you are all set for this weekend. I know how anxious you must me at this point but before you know it she will be here. I still have such a hard time believing that this is really happening. After everything that we have been through I feel so blessed that we have all made it to this point and will be holding our babies in our arms soon.

All my best to everyone.

Nance--I'm glad your appt. went well! Enjoy your last few days of work. When's your last official day?

I'm officially done with work! 8) I'm kind of glad, kind of nervous....as work kept my mind off of the impending issues at hand....delivery, raising children, you know all that good stuff! don't get me wrong, I'm SO excited to have them here! But, I just feel like things have gone sooo fast! LIke Nance, I feel like we just started this journey (even though it's been years in the making!). I'm going to go rent some movies tomorrow to help me pass the time. And of course, I have a HUGE pile of books and magazines to pour through. I guess I should get through them now!

Baby A and B say "hi"...they're both moving around like crazy right now! :)

I hope the rest of you are well. Any babies today?

Kim- Congrats on the last day of work!!!!! Laying down is so hard for me because of the heartburn, hopefully you are more successful with it than I. Last night we went out to dinner after my son's graduation and even with eating very light and the zantec 150 I still was not able to sleep. :-( So I am exhausted today. :-(

Tasha how are you feeling? Hopefully you are getting close :-)

Colleen, how are you? I can't wait to see if you or Tasha goes first :-)

Well my mom and daughter leave Saturday morning for Colorado to visit my sister. They will be back the afternoon of the 5th in time for my induction date. My mom is mopping my floor as I type. :-) I have been having lots of contractions and I am more than ready to meet Naomi but I really feel she will hold off till the induction. That is only 12 days away :-) I can hold up 12 more days (at least that is what I keep telling myself) :-)

Take care everyone,
Cowgirl

Hello Girls-

Still no baby on this end... however I feel miserable today. I had Burger King last night for dinner and I think it made me sick... almost like food poisioning sick. My stomach is killing me and I threw up twice already. I'm hoping it goes away very soon.... plus it has made me sleepy all day. However, it hasn't stopped Aubrey from moving around like crazy....

Kim- congrats on your last day... now it's time to rest and enjoy your free time before the babies arrive.

Cowgirl- sorry to hear your still having heartburn... I think Aubrey has dropped so my heartburn issues have been much better. Hopefully Naomi will drop soon for you so you can get some relief.

Well I hope the rest of you girls are doing well.... I'm going to go lay down again and keep my fingers crossed that my stomach feels better.

Tasha

Tasha I am sorry you are sick!!!!! Things are so rough right now, it would be terrible to have food poisoning on top! I hope you feel better soon!

I think Naomi is pretty low, but big. I think I do myself in because bending over causes heartburn and all the fluids I drink. :-(
