Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well.

I'm back from my Dr's appointment. Everythng is still looking good (knock on wood). I had a strep test today and had an internal. The Dr. said my Cervix is thinning and that I am dialated about a finger tip. I have no idea how that calculates into cm at this point but I am guessing it is not very much. The baby's head is down and in a good position. I have a sono scheduled for Saturday and then back for another checkup next Tuesday. I know this sounds wierd but I'm still worried that something is going to go wrong. I know at this point chances are that everything will be fine but I can't help but worrying. Does anyone else feel this way or am I the only neurotic one out here?

thook - How was your day alone with Aubrey? I can imagine how much you miss your DH. I'm sure he hates not being there and is probably missing you tons.

Cowgirl - I hope you and Naomi are doing well. I can't wait to see pictures.

Rachael - I'm so glad you got lots of good stuff at your baby shower. How are the delivery nightmares? I hope they are better and you are able to get some sleep. I am the last person to say try not to worry (because as we have already established I am the biggest worrier out there) but I can tell you that you have a lot of people praying for you that you will have a very good and safe delivery and I'm sure God will take good care of you.

Colleen - How is Gavin going? How are you feeling? It is great that your DH helps with the diapers. My DH says he will but I will believe it when I see it.

Kim - How are you doing? Did you get your c-section date? How did your Dr's appointment go? Those are some very healthy weights it sounds like you got there.

Casey/Ellie - How are you guys doing? Casey, how is the potty training going?

I appologize if I missed anyone and will check back in later.

All my best,
Nancy

Hi gals....

Nance--I'm glad your appt. went well! sounds like she's getting into position! Good girl! I would guess that a finger tip would be1-2 cm? I'm not sure. Are you effaced at all? Try not to let those nightmares get to you. Remember all that PMA we used to preach about???? Keep thinking positive. All will be okay. Did you post pics of the nursery yet? I'll have to go check. I forgot yesterday.

Tasha--sounds like aubrey's doing great! Wow--she slept for 5 whole hours....sounds like a dream come true for most new moms! Sorry the bfing is a challenge, but it sounds like you've got everything under control. How was your first day without DH around? do you have any friends/family who can stop by during the day to lend a hand? Or even just to talk to? I talked to Pam today, and we were both saying how cute Aubrey is!

colleen--sounds like Gavin's doing well too! That must be a challenge to handle a new infant, plus two other boys. You go girl! I forgot about the weight discrepancy on Gavin's last u/s! I knew they could be a pound off either way, but not 2! Maybe mine are bigger than we think! That would be a very good thing.

Racheal--I'm glad your shower went well! It sounds like you do have a lot of nice friends down there in Texas. I'm sorry you're having nightmares too. I'm almost afraid to ask what happened at your last section, as I'm going to have one too (and in my mind, ignorance is bliss....you know?). I hope that your dreams will subside and that some more PMA will come your way. You've made it this far...I'm sure delivery will go much better this go around! I think that's great that your doc will allow you to hold Makayla and BF right after delivery. I'm trying to push that with my doc, but he said I have to get stitched back up and get stabililzed before he'd even consider it. I hope my section goes smoothly, so I can start bonding with these babies ASAP!

Well, as for my appointment, it was like being stuck in the twighlight zone today! 1st of all, my BP was up....not dangerously high, but it was pretty high for me. (I'm usually in the 117/70 range...) Then, to make matters worse, baby A was not cooperating for the NST. I was there for nearly 2 HOURS trying to get this test done. Well, at 4:00, they were getting ready to close the office, so they sent me over to L&D (where they have a better monitor), and had me do the NST AGAIN!!!!! ugh! The test at the hospital went much more smoothly though (only 45 min.), and all looked good. My BP also went down (not sure how, as I was pretty miffed). So, now I get to call the doctor tomorrow and see about scheduling my section. She didn't want to do it today until they could get a better read on my NST. She was even thinking that I might deliver today. Thank goodness she was wrong! Oh, and I'm also dilated 1 cm now, and still effaced 40%. I think I still have at least a week or more to go...

I hope the rest of you gals are doing well! I'm off to get some things done that I didn't get to do during the day....seeing as how I was hooked to monitors for nearly 4 hours!

G'night!

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well today.

Kim - Thank you for the kind words. I'm doing my best to focus on the PMA. How are you feeling today? I'm sorry you had such a bad day yesterday and that Baby A was not being cooperative. But I am happy everything is looking good. Try to get some rest if you can.

I had a little bit of a scare yesterday. A few hours after my Dr's appointment I noticed some bleeding. It was not too bad and it was mostly brown (sorry for TMI) but it scared me so I called my Dr. They said that it is common after an internal to have bleeding and that as long as I am not cramping that it is fine. The baby was moving around and I had no cramping and the bleeding is now only slight spotting so I'm sure everything is ok but it still freaked me out for a while.

I'm going to stay in today and try to put together the Bassinet, pack my hospital bag and wash all of Lily's clothes so I can put them away. A friend of the family had her baby the other day and had to have a c-section because the baby was over 10lbs. Ouch. And she even went early. I can't imagine how big he would have been if he went full term. But he and mom are healthy and home. Thank goodness.

I hope everyone is doing well.

All my best.

Hey Nance--

Sorry you had that scare! My doc actually warned me about that, and it actually happened to me today. Even though I knew it could happen, it's still quite shocking to see anything brown down there. I'm also having a lot more mucous (sorry, again TMI)...so I think things might be getting kick started down there very soon!

Don't do too much today. Washing all those baby clothes and putting a bassinett together can be tiring! :?

Hope the rest of you are well!

Hello Girls-

Just checking in real quick while Aubrey is sleeping... how are you all doing? I hope well...

Kim- sounds like things are moving right along - that's great. Hopefully your next NST will be much better. I went and saw Pam today... I miss her.

Nance- I agree with everyone else... spotting is common after an internal. Hopefully it has stopped and your doing much better now.

Colleen- I look forward to your message... and that drink.

As for the rest of your girls I hope your doing well and taking care of your baby's... Can't wait to hear about more baby's being born.

Hey gals...

It's been quiet around here today!

Tasha and Colleen--It's so neat that you two live so close to each other! That'll be nice for you gals to get the kids together. I'm predicting a wedding about 27 years from now!!!!    Gavin and Aubrey......it'll be lovely!

Things here are fine. Hot but fine. I'm definitely feeling some Braxton Hicks contractions, in fact sometimes I feel pains shooting towards my butt! What's that all about? More mucous....but nothing unmanageable. I swear, I keep checking my pants to see if my water's are leaking! I'm totally paranoid. I guess that's why I shouldn't have too much free time on my hands. :? I did go to a "twins club" meeting last night, and the moms had some great advice for feeding, sleeping, surviving. I hope I can remember even 1/16 of it when I need it!

How are the rest of you gals? We'd love an update when you get a chance.....some us are VERY BORED over here! I know it won't be for long!

Hey guys! Sorry I have been MIA. Everything has been so busy around here. My mom is here taking care of me and I have had lots of visitors and I get tired really easy. Naomi is doing GREAT. She sleeps about 5 hours at a time and she is starting to sleep at night. At first 12 till about 4:30 am was her awake time. She is starting to do better about that. :-) We try so hard to keep her awake from 8-10 pm but I tell you this child is bomb proof! :-) The BF is going great. I pump when there is anything left after Naomi eats and I am actually about 7 oz ahead. I posted a couple pictures of Naomi in the ivf group on photobucket.

Kim I am so HAPPY you are hanging on! You have done awesome!!!!! What kind of help do you plan to have at home the first couple weeks? I would have never of thought I would need the amount of help I have even with the c-section. I feel good as long as I am down but when I stand it apparently puts a lot of pressure on all the inside stiches. Please don't let me scare you, it really has not been that bad but you will have to stay off your feet and that is really tough to do with a new baby much less two babies.

Nance I am glad you are doing well and hanging in there. Your time will be here before you know it.

Colleen and Tasha glad things are going well for you. Gavin and Aubrey are so beautiful!!!!!!!!

Well take care everyone and good luck Kim I will keep watching for your news :-)

Angelica--Congrats on being an auntie! How exciting! You'll get some good practice before Roman comes. does your sis live close to you? If so, that'll be so nice for you two gals to get together with the babies. Your parents must be so excited to get two grandbabies within a couple months of each other!

Cowgirl--Naomi is a cutie patootie! I love her going home outfit...so stylish for a newborn! You are so blessed that she is sleeping so well so early! I hope to get some shut eye myself! I am going to have help once we come home. We're very lucky in the fact that we have 3 sets of grandparents in town, and they're all chomping at the bit to come help! My mom is going to stay with us for the first few days/nights, then my MIL will take a few days off work to come help during the next few days. After that, we'll have people come on an "as needed" basis. My doc doesn't expect me to have too much difficulty with recovery, as I was in very good shape and active prior to becoming preggers....but you never know now, do you? I honestly have a feeling I'll have to shoo people away after a few days, just so we can start getting into a routine. I hope you feel better soon. When do you go for a check up?

We had another NST today, this time I just went to the hospital for it since their equipment is so much better. Things are looking good! I am starting to have contractions. Not on a regular basis, but I was having them every 10-12 minutes when I was having the NST...they were mild, but I could tell they were there! I just hope that I can make it past Sunday, my little sister's graduation! I want that to be her special day. Then, the babies can come whenever they want!

By the way, 36 weeks today! YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!!

Good Afternoon Girls...

Well Aubrey is napping so I have a few minutes to write.

Kim- that's too cute about you predicting a wedding in 27 years.... DH & Myself got a chuckle out of that... but also a scare - just thinking of all the money we'd have to have saved up by then (yikes). Sounds like your getting closer... very exciting. I still can't believe Aubrey is here and she'll be here for 2 weeks this weekend. Time is surely flying by... congrats on turning 36 weeks - that just means it can be anyday now.

Cowgirl- Naomi is beautiful... what an adorable going home outfit too. I'm glad to hear that she is sleeping 5 hours at a time for you... Aubrey is up to about 4-5 hours also... it's nice. Also glad to hear that the BF is going much better. I've actually cut back on my pumping today - only 4 times a day now. I'm thinking of switching her to formula by the end of the month.

Angellica- congrats on your sister's baby... just think you'll be next. Sounds like things are moving right along for you & Roman... please keep us posted.

I hope the rest of you girls are doing well...

Take Care,
Tasha

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.

I just wanted to check in quick. My DH and I are going out to dinner with the in-laws in a few minutes.

Tasha - How are you, DH and Aubrey doing? I hope you are all well and loving every second of each other.

Cowgirl - Naomi is so cute. I love her coming home outfit. How is everything going? How are you feeling? I can't believe how well she is sleeping already. You are so lucky.

Angellica - Congrats on becoming an Aunt again. How is your sister doing? How are you feeling? When is your next appointment?

Kim - Congrats on hitting the 36 week mark. You are doing so well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get to go to your sister's graduation.
Are the contractions coming a little more often?

Colleen - How are you doing? I hope you are well. How is Gavin? Is the BF going ok?

Rachel - How are you? We miss you? I hope everything is well and that you and Makayla are doing fine.

As for me, I had a sono this morning. I did not see my Dr. just the tech but she told me that Lily is in position and lying very low in my pelvis. She said that she could not even get a good measurement of her head because she is so far down and behind by pelvic bone. I'm hoping that means that I do not have too much longer to wait. They are estimated that she weighs 6lbs 1oz and her heartbeat was 131. I go back to my Dr. on Tuesday so I guess we will see at that point if I am any more dialated. I'm still spotting from my internal last Tuesday but it has gotten much better. We had our birthing class on Thursday and my poor DH looked terrified. He is so cute :-) We are taking a tour of the hopsital next week so which I am looking foward to. I am trying to move around a lot and walk some to help move things along. I would love to go a few days early so that I miss being in the hospital for the 4th of July weekend holiday but I guess she will be here when she is ready.

All my best to everyone!!

Hello Girls!

I have had one of those really odd and not so fun weeks. The week started as normal with me working (now half days). My boss was retarted. He got upset because I was going to only work 4 hours a day. He also lectured me about asking others to cover certian aspects of my job. It actually was not originally part of my job, but it was pushed off on me and I did not feel it was appropriate to push onto my replacement. Anyway, I never got the chance to fight about it because last Friday I started having headaches and they finally got so bad I was sick. I was throwing up and dizzy and could not do anything. DH drove me to the hospital and after three days, they finally decided it was a pinched nerve at the base of my skull. So now I am taking Vicadin every four hours to help me function (barely) and I am on strict bed rest because my BP is really high. Needless to say, I am now on maternity leave early. Monday, I have to go back in for a check up to make sure it is safe for us to wait until Friday for the C-Section. I am six days away from her final date. I am excited and very ready now. Makayla has slowed down movement wise and I am starting to worry a lot. Her HB was great the whole time they had me in the hospital, but I didn't really care because I was in pain and drugged!

Kim - I hope they hang in there. As for my previous C-Sections, they were both different. My first one was an emergency and I recovered very quickly and with little effort (I was also only 18). With my second, The surgery was not that bad, but I got a really bad infection afterwards and the healing took me over 8 weeks before I felt I could really do things on my own. I was told this ins not the norm and was probably because my water broke about 6 hours before the surgery was performed. Who knows, but like Cowgirl says, you will likely need some help for the first two or so weeks. Remember it is surgery as well as childbirth.

Angellica - I am glad you and Roman are doing well. Enjoy your niece, she soulds perfect!

Nance - Take it easy, we are all at the point that we deserve to rest. Our bodies are working overtime right now!

Tasha - Your little one is precious and it sounds like you are settling in just fine. You have finally gotten your wish. She is beautiful.

Collen - You also have a wonderful little one. I am surprised you are back in full swing already. Cooking dinner! I plan on waiting at least two weeks before I start cooking again. My scouting friends have been abring over cassaroles and such to freeze so we have food while I am down. It is a good thing we have three freezers! I have enough food to eat three meals a day for three weeks at least!. I was amazed when everyone started visiting and bringing things over. They found out I was in the hospital and they all just started coming over. DH is worried that there will be a ton of them over once the baby gets here. I have never been the so spoiled! Normally, no one visits us and we just make do. I hope you are getting at least a little spoiled.

Well, I am suposed to be in bed, so I have to go. I will keep you posted. Kim, I am looking for you. I hope to have a positive story for everyone on Friday.

God Bless all of you!
