Good Morning lovely ladies :D

How is everyone on this glorius sunny morning (well it is here in and has been for the past dew days - im just glad that im able to enjoy it today)

JS: Glad to hear ur tmt is starting :) It wont be long untill u get ur BFP, and the list will be looking fab with everyone elses :D Hope ur feeling well, hugz xx

Rachel: Another 2lbs -= how on earth are u doing it hun, please let me know ur secret, i wont tell no one i promise lol - im really struggling here with my weight, the scales dont seem to be moving, i get a few good days and feel great about myself, then bang - i have a crap day and the scales are the same at the end of the week  I need to get some weight off for my tmt, at least a stone or i wont be able to start  Help!! Wots the weather like there today? Hope ur enjoying ur weekend :D

Carloyn: You do make me laff hun, nearly wetting urself once u saw aladins cave lol - i prob would have been the same - only my DH keeps a wee eye on my spending habbits. trying to save for tmt and everything else thats going on this year is a struggle and i hate struggling - i like to spend spend spend lol. Im watching Grease tonight and cant wait - i want Susan to win, but i really like the both boys (think i prefer Anthony tho) i wont vote tho, cos the last time on the x-factor, when i got my phone bill - there was an exxtra £19.00 of 0901 calls to the x-factor  lol. We are having a BBQ later too, a few cans of lager and a few bottles of wine, a nice relax in the sun - way to go - my kind of weekend :) (Have to do some gardening first tho!!) Have a great weekend hun, enjoy ur BBQ later ... xxx

Shantala: That ***** still hasnt shown for u :x well im gonna have a wee word with her and if she doesnt show by at least Monday morning - she will have ME to deal with!! Im so sorry she isnt here yet hun, its so bloody annoying that when we want her to come she never shows! Do what i did the last time mine was 4 weeks late - dress up for a day/night out, plan that ur wearing white trousers and bobs ur bloody uncle, guaranteed to bring her on lol! Hope she comes soon hun, have a great weekend and Good Luck at the Bingo lol :D xxx

Aunty: Hello hun, hope ur busy planning ur move and my room lol xx

Hugz to everyone else that ive missed xxxxxxxxxxxx

Nothing new or startling with me im afraid ladies, same old same old as Brian would say lol. Im hoping to get some gardening done today, ive more weeds in my rockery than flowers i think - i cant tell which is which LOL. Im just so glad the weather has stayed nice for the weekend - makes it so much more fun when the sun is out :) Our house is pretty quiet at the moment as my eldest (Gemma) is away at the Download Festival (oh to be young again lol) and has been gone since Wednesday, i felt choked when she went, this will be the first time she has been away for longer than 1 night - she is having a ball - i dont really want to know what she is up to, but i got a text off her this morning at 6.22am saying hello etc - 6.22am!!!!!!! Brian said - wot on earth is she doing up at this time of the morning! i said, she prob just going to bed lol - his face was one not to laff at (hehehehehe) he maybe their step dad, but u can see the love and care he has for them both, he doesnt like it when b/f's are on the scene - not my babies he says, no they are not leaving home bla bla bla (they are 19 and 17 for gawds sake lol) i love him more for showing them that he cares - he's fantastic with them :D

Right - enough slop - im off to do the gardening (im no green fingers, but i'll give it a whirl lol)

Becky Xxxxx

Ho ladies, hope you are all well today.

The sun is trying to come out up here in the north but we are being plagued with sea frets, but i'm at work anyway so as long as its sunny from tomorrow i don't mind.

carolyn, glad your home and so organised to get everyone out of the way so you can be as stress free as possible during your cycle. Everyone says how fantastic Dubai is for the hotels and shopping i would just love to see it, just for a short break maybe as a stopoff else where. I also sniffed on my cycle, i have to say its easier than injections but i was glad to stop. Not long now and you'll be on your way.

JS, congratulations on getting started.

Shantala, Bingo!! I hate the game, my mum and sister love it. Hope the evil witch turns up soon, and it doesn't screw you up with work.

Rachael, good on you another 2 pounds, you'll be at your target before you know it, I would love for you to join us but i can't allow you to pile on the pounds after all your hard work. my diet starts again after this week.

Becky, Weeds are only weeds if you don't like the flowers, someone once told me. it's taken me 3 years to get rid of the dandelions in my garden. The house had been empty 2 years when we bought it and weeding had been non existent. My DH is jelous he so wanted to go to the Download festival, but none of his friends could afford it and i'm no fun as i'm not into music. i would have gone though.

Jen, glad you got back ok, hope you feel a little rested> i know a city is never a relaxing break as there is so much to see.

Gill bet your excited about your trip now you have info on how it works, it must make it a little easier, Good luck. hope DH is starting to feel better.

Aunty, How you doing?

Anybody i've missed , i'm sorry.

As for me, DH is working on the letter as we speak, The comittee meet every thursday, so we will post it before we leave on Monday. Don't know how long it takes but she said its pretty quick, not that i can do anything until August, but knowing the funding is there would be fantastic.
all you ladies who wish to can join us, but your paying for yourselves(ha ha) Yes i have organised it all myself, but DH knows everything we are doing, bar a couple of surprises. His family asked me what to buy him yesterday!! and they wonder why we keep to ourselves, they never put any time or thought into things. Anyway better go, this post is huge.

Busy thread today. It is the weekend and we are all checking in.

Forgot to say before that dh and I had chromosone testing done about 3 weeks ago. I completely forgot about it. Then I got a voice mail when I was in Dubai from my consultant saying that the results were back. All normal - so that does not seem to be the issue either. It is like a treasure hunt when you can never find the answer/end. They will now likely to do genetic testing on the embies (done on D2 & results not back to D5) to see whether there is another issue. It is good that they are doing all this testing but so frustrating that they cannot seem to find what the issue is.

Jen1d - are you back yet hun??? Hope that you are safely back home and not too tired after all the highs-lows and walking all over. You'll have to take it a lot easier the next time that you are there

Shantala - I cannot believe that AF has still not shown for you. I am jigging for you with everyone else. The site has been a bit strange this morning. I could not see Rachel's post and then did a double post - I am blaming the site rather than the operator  On cycle 2 & 3, I did the short protocol - no down regging at all. Easier and shorter but new clinic prefer to use long unless you struggle to generate eggs and want to use as had best response when I did that protocol. So never done the sniffing. Glad it is not too bad. Just need to remember to do it 3 times a day 7am - 3pm - 11pm. Think that I will be a couple of weeks ahead of you hun. Start down regging a week on Monday, hope AF shows a week later. Scan on D5 (which should be end June). Then a hysteroscopy the next day and if all is well then start stimmies. I reckon that I should be looking at EC around 13th July and transfer around July 18th and result right at start of August. ARRGGGGHHHH

Beachbaby - you are right. Good place for a stop over for the hotels and loads of shopping  8) It was just so hot - over 4-0 and that is just a bit much for me. Been getting even more organised. Out and about buying bithday pressies/cards etc for all occassions from now until the end of July so another thing that I don't have to worry about during tmt. Glad that the sniffing is not too bad. Hope that the letter does the job for you

Becky - glad that I made you laugh. I think that Susan and Anthony will win too. I quite like all 4 that are left so will not vote either. £19 I cannot believe that. I dread to think what I spent  Have a great bbq this evening. It is so sweet that your dh is so special with your girls - that must mean such a lot to you and them. I am having a nightmare with my diet too. Just cannot seem to stick with it and I know that treatment will add more lbs too - ARRRGGGGHHH

Better sort out the house ahead of visitors next weekend as will be busy with work during the week.

Love to you all.
Carolyn

 HI HONEY I'M HOME

Wow, what a few days they turned out to be.
Back home safe and sound although my feet are still trying to figure out what has happened to them

Don't know where to start

All went so well and very smooth. We feel completely confident with the clinic and know this can work. It might take a couple of turns but we can only give it our best shot. Hopefully we can start our drugs at the begining of July, the clinic will keep us updated. We will be praying we can get more than 2 eggs so we can freeze a couple and do a FET if we need to. The Doc said we could try to do our own cycle and put my medication up, then do PGD, but the success rate is poorer so decided against this. Dont get me wrong, i would rather try this but given we are not millionaires yet i think we would be throwing money and time away plus we would only have about a 20-25% chance of it working.

So i have my medi at home and the good news is there are no injections for me this time yiiipppeee. I will be taking tablets then patches.

Barcelona was great, we're glad we stayed another few days and did so much sightseeing my feet are still aching  The weather was great and we cant wait to go back.

Carolyn - Wow you sound all shopped out. Will need to get info on the whereabouts of that shop for my mum the next time she visits Dubai.
Cant believe your cycle is about to start, has come round so quickly.

Gill - An email will all the info will be sent as soon as i've finished this

Everyone else i apologise for not doing personals but have been rushing around all day. Will try harder over the next few days.

Anyway, thanks for thinking about us and being there to support me and dh, your a fab bunch of girls

Love Jen x

Morning Ladies :D

Well - i feel crap :( Ive been up most of the night with a head cold, one min my nose is blocked, next its running like a tap (sorry tmi) my throat is swollen and so are my glands :( my lips are dry and cracked cos i cant breathe thru my nose, i keep choking and my sinus is full :( i feel shit! But had a gawrjuss day yesterday, did my weeding, and bought loads new hanging baskets and new pots etc, the garden looks lush, had a bath after all the gardening, then went stragit outside for sum sunbathing and the BBQ - hense thats how i got head cold - wet hair!!! Silly me!!

Beachbaby: Hope ur letter does wonders at the comittiee meeting on Thursday, i will pray that u get ur wish and an start inAugust. let us know as soon as u find out. I spoke to my daughter yesterday from the download festival and im not happy - her b/f has had his wallet and phone stolen from inside their tent (wait for this) while they were slepping in it!!!!! Its only a 4 man tent with 2 of them sharing it, how on earth did other people get in there, rumage around their stuff and they didnt notice!! I dread to think how pi***d they were to have not noticed anyone comming in!! There are some nasty people in this world and it bloody annoys me - ive already texted her b/f's phone and told whoever has it that they are spitefull b*****ds and that what goes around, comes around! Anyway, she will be home 2moro evening thank gawd :D

Carolyn: What an ending for Grease eh? Im so pleased Susan won, but was disapointed that Anthony didnt, i do like Danny B, but i thought Anthony was a charmer and he would get the crowd going better than Danny B. Still, i think Michelle and Anthony should be the stand in's (they usually have them at thetere dont they?) Big up on Susan tho, she's stunning and has a fantastic voice :) Did u watch that Britins got talent after Grease last night - well what about that bloke frm south wales then - with a face for radio, he came on and i tht he was gonna be crap - but out comes this amazing opera voice - i was like - Wow! He was brilliant - has to be summit said about the Welsh and their singing voices eh

Jen: Welcome Home hun - wow! Wot a trip u had, i was thinking about u every day and so pleased it all went well for u - u must be so excited, i know i am for u :D and at a 60% sucess rate who wouldnt be excited :D Roll on begining of July for you. Ive never heard of tablets or patches for tmt - thats different! I never sniffed on my last go, i prefer to inject and will be injecting this tie again too, i dont like the tht of sniffing - and besides, if i get another head cold like i have this morning, i'd never be able to sniff! Well done on ur trip hun, its great to see ur so happy about t and so confident - keep up that PMA, its what we like to hear around here

Rachel: Another beautiful morning here again today too ... Im gonna make sure i gt out there to do sum sunbathinig, even with this cold. Dropping one dress size would be heaven for me, i hate being in a size 18/20 - people say i dont look it, maybe i carry it well, but i would dearly love to be able to buy size 16 clothes again - to get to a 14 would be a miricle, i honestly dont think i will ever be that thin again - besides, the average size of the british woman these days is a size 16 - shame the bloody clothes shops dont realize that in it! I think ur doing really well and a wee mishap now and again doesnt do no one no harm, ur still loosing and thats all that counts, u go for it young lady - well done :D

Well ladies, its starting to get a wee bit sticky here now, the sun is belting down so im gonna love u and leave u, get my book called -
Rollercoaster - A country couples guide to IVF.
I keep buying these IVF books from Amazon, ive got loads now lol:
The Stork Club (my favorite)
Baby Roulette,
Pink for a girl,
The stork clubs guide to IVF (hardley worth a read, but will refer to it when im doing my tmt again)

and now this latest one - Amazon must think im posessed lol, still i like a good read and can get thru a book within 1 or 2 days if its that good :D
Right - thats me done for now, will catch u all later ladies .... have fun

8) Hi girls

Becky - Cant believe you like injections, thats abnormal. The Doc laughed at me when she saw the relief on my face as i dont have to do any
Hope your feeling a bit better, i had the cold a few weeks back and it didnt disappear for about 3-4 weeks, nightmare, chill babe
Thanks for thinking about me during our trip, its great to have so much support

Shantala - Great about AF, its so close now  Have posted on your unhappy thread but we wont be needing that, right?

Carolyn - How you doing? Bet you get bored at the weekend and cant wait to get back to work. I think you are defo the workaholic of the group------you near to your first million yet
Am on countdown to start your cycle, cant believe its come round so fast and i'm so pleased all your tests returned in tip top condition

Lara - Well dont with the weight loss. I lost a few nearly 4 stone a couple of years ago and 2 have crept back on. I am starting my healthy eating tomorrow ans hope to drop a stone before going back to Big B in a couple of months. So if you dont hear i am losing some pounds, shout at me

Ok, off to watch BB, need to shout at Charley and Shabnab, the do my head in, haven't met girls who are so vain

Shantala - great news. You are on your way. You are just a little behind me so hopefully we can share some of the journey together and hopefully it is going to end the right way for both of us too!!!!! Let us know when the dates are confirmed. So pleased for you

Rachel - much as I like you, not sure that it is enough to part with any of my handbags!!! Agree with you about Danny B - he looked very nice. It is great that you dropped a dress size and sounds like you are on your way to dropping another one. All I seem to being doing now is adding rather than taking away. I know that it is an excuse but is hard when you are travelling. Need to try over the next week/10 days before tmt starts in earnest otherwise will have nothing to wear over the summer. You are doing so well. Did you manage to get anything at the shops today?

Becky - so sorry that you have a head cold. Sounds rubbish. Hope that it clears quickly. Sure that you are right that Michelle and Anthony will end up with other roles too. Thought that Michelle gave it a really good shot and looked stunning when she sung that ballad on her own. What a beautiful dress. Sorry - did not see the programme afterwards. Watched it off the video as watched Joseph live. My dh now thinks that we will be going out on Saturday evenings now that both shows are over - he hasn't yet realised that I will want to hibernate for tmt! Cannot wait for the Apprentice - who do you think is going to win. I like Christina. Loved the Stork Club too. I bought quite a few ivf books when I was doing tmt last year off Amazon. Read Baby Roulette. If you recommend any of the others then let me know as may want to get some in for tmt again

Jen1d - glad that you are back at home with your meds and have a really good plan. Hope that you are not going to need a FET hun. You are so positive - it is terrific. Not too long until you can get started. Must seem so real now that you actually have the meds. Happy to let your Mum know where the handbag shop is when she next goes - may be she can get you a fake or two! Hope that going back to work is not too hard for you after all your excitement and a few days of holiday too. Glad my tmt seems to have come around quick for you - seems like I have been having tests for ever and that my last tmt was years ago!!!!

Gill/JB - hope that Jen's positivity about Big B is rubbing off on both of you. Must give you oddles of confidence

Beachbaby - did your dh get the letter written. Is it on its way yet?? Fingers crossed for you

Jackie - hope that you are taking good care of the little beanie

Aunty - any news on the house move

Hope that everyone else is doing well and has enjoyed the sunny weekend. I feel revived but have this blimin long day trip to Frankfurt tomorrow to give a Finance lecture to a room of German business men and woman. At least managed to persuade them they should pay me for a full day rather than a 1/2 day which was what they offered. Not really fair for leaving home at 5am and getting home at 10pm! I am earning so much credit with the three guys that I work with that they will have to be reasonable with me in July. That is the plan!

Cannot believe that I start in a week. Fluctuating between being excited to be having another go, s******* myself about the intensity of all the drugs - going to the clinic every day and sometimes twice a day - the huge cost and then the possibility that I will face BFN number 4. Anyway, banish such thoughts for now. Keep counting down the days until next week.

Have a good week all. Busy bee so not sure how much I shall be around plus guests next weekend who don't know about tmt so if I don't post much before I start then please forgive me.

Love to you all.
Carolyn

Hi everyone...

bare with me as i have had a glass of wine without dinner and it's gone straight to my head...So my dyselxia will bad (or dab???????).
I am now chilling after PIL ( parents in law) HAVE LEFT THE BUILDING!!!!!

Shantala- Hurrah that AF has come it must have been the threat of Becky having a wee word with her    Sooo good for you honey to have a time line for everything. It helps us women focus.  Good news down reg is starting soon. x x

js good luck with your stimming...hope you get many follies x x

Carolyn- you are so busy i bet you can't wait to chill at your Harley Street holiday...Another week until down reg. Are you okay with down reg meds? I had terrible headaches and went to short cycles so down regged as i stimmed. good luck with your busy week...x x You are right that I am lucky to have Gill and Jen going through the sqame thing. My last ivf was may 06 and cause of our wedding ( march 07) we have had to wait and put ED on the back burner until now. My friend anna had a BFP at Big B so hopes are high. x x

Becky- Thanks for the welcome back. x x It's good to know i've been missed . oh no you won't get rid of me that easy...sorry...  I have been on this site 2 yrs ( now 2nd user name) and love the people on it. Must admit it must be daunting for newbies to the site to keep up with so many posts and people...but everyone is so nice on here. Don't think i would have managed through all my cycles if it wasn't for this site. Hope your enjoying the ivf reading books are they novels or info on ivf. I have one called "ivf couples real life stories"...( from wine fogged memory anyway) and tells the tales of 6 couples going through tmt. Like a Bridget jones dairy thing..but not as funny!!! In fact quite a dry read. So is the stork club got some laughs in it. Like when Adam was inj my downreg ( 1st time) we were both so nervous the needle got stuck in my bum and he went too squeemish to get it out   I was running around the bathroom shouting do something do something!!!! like it was a mouse or something scary! eventually we got it out and had a good laugh. the best bit was by the end of the tmt he used to whack my arse before inj me so i wouldn't feel it. Hope the neighbours didn't hear!!! LOL Maybe we could write a forum book of funny stories of going thru ivf tmt????
Sorry to hear that your stuffed up with head cold. To me thats worse than a normal cold as head gets so painful. Hope hubby looked after you with lemsips x x

Rachel- your are doing fanatastic losing 2lb every week...well done. You may be eating rubbish but staying up to do the dishes obviously helps!!! Glad you had a good night out x x

jen- WELCOME HOME ...Glad you had such a fab time in Big B. You sound on a total high. It helps me out to know that you and gill are going through the same thing at (nearly the same time) and hopefully we can make this a tripple/ hat trick!!!!

Beachbaby hope you get the fundiing finger crossed as we spoke x x

gill how are tou doing ???? excited??? is it the 13th your appointment.

Still learning everyone on this post so Hi and hugs to those i have missed 8) :D And especially anyone in the mist of tmt. BIG LOVING HUGS

Been bust visiting sis at beginning of week and having PIL to stay this last 4 days..I am knackered...so am off for an early night ( after another glass of wine ....well !!!!you gotta finish the bottle or it goes off, doen't it!!!) Gosh i hope you lot don't think i am an alcoholic it's just been a busy week visiting family and getting visitors. HONEST! i don't normally drink until the weekend  off now to watch BB. I too am hating Shabam ( does me head in, said in a scouse accent.) and I missed both emily and lesley leaving becaause of PIL being totally against watching such rubbish as BB.  So will deffo need to catch up tonight.

on that note night night everyone

love to ya all

Hi Everyone :D

Hope everybody is well, I am sorry I haven't got time to do personals but I am thinking of you all.

Gill - just wanted to wish you loads of luck in Barcelona and hope that the appointment goes well.

Jen - welcome back so glad that everything went well in Barcelona for you too - can't wait for you to start - so excited!!!

Carolyn - you little jet setter - your feet are hardly touching the ground at the moment so hope you rest well when all this travelling is over. You MUST tell about the little shop in Dubai !!! I'm counting down the days with you til you start - oh I want so much for all of you to be with big bellys with me :D

Shantala my little love - I'm so glad that she finally arrived, boy how could she hold off that long - I hope that you're not too sad day and I wanted to post on yr unhappy thread but didn't want to make matters worse.

Rachel - woohoo another 2lbs that is fantastic - you go girl!! And why shouldn't you shop til you drop!!

Jen babes - wow sounds like a hectic week, hope you have finally chilled and relaxed!! Hey another BB fan - me too and I also don't like Shabam much either nor charley - so full of herself - have to admit have taken a liking to ziggy

Aunty sweetie where are you???? Have you lost yrself in a packing box :D

Have first midwife appt booked for 19th - dead excited - its finally beginning to sink and I started to look forward into the coming months (was way to scared prior to scan) - brought a book at the weekend, called Expecting (all you need to know) and I can't wait to start lending it out to all you ladies in the near future

Got the first symptons - sore b@@bs but no m/s as yet and the tiredness is starting to kick in too.

Thats it for me, hope I don't upset anyone by sharing my latest news (I know how it can feel sometimes)

oh and I'm not 8wks but 7 but don't how to change it!!!

love to all (sorry if I missed anyone)
hugs Jackie xx
