Hi gals!

No babies yet (whew!). I want to make it through today, since it's my sister's graduation. I actually can't go to the ceremony. It's an hour away, and it will be a 3 hour ceremony. Ohio State is a huge school, and they have lots of graduates. Plus, Bill Clinton is the speaker, so things will be hairy with security, etc. up there in Columbus. My sister has been so understanding, though. She hasn't complained a bit that I'm not there. Although, she's already called me twice today to see how the contractions are doing! I will actually be able to watch the ceremony live through the net, so I'm glad I'll get to "kindof" experience it! :) As for the babies, it's weird. I had a lot of "menstrual cramp" contractions on Friday. Hardly any yesterday. And, now I'm having them again today. They're about 10-15 minutes apart, and they're not horribly painful by any means. My doc doesn't want to hear from me unless they get around 5-8 minutes apart, so I'm not too worried. Just paranoid! I swear, I keep checking my pants to see if I'm leaking any waters!

RAcheal--I have a feeling that Makayla is going to be a very easy baby for you, since this pregnancy has not been easy on you at all! YOu poor thing...now a pinched nerve? How terrible! I hope you are able to take it easy. That's so nice that your friends are already bringing meals over. We're hoping for the same once the babies are here. By the way, your boss doesn't sound too nice, huh? He'll just have to manage without you now!

Nance--How was dinner last night? Do your in laws live nearby? If so, that'll be so nice once your princess is here. Will they be helpful? I hope so! Good luck at your appt. on Tuesday. I think it would be neat if she DID show up on the 4th of July! She'd be a firecracker baby! TAke care of yourself....you're almost there.

I hope the rest of you are doing well! If I get quiet over here, then you know what that means! :D

hey Buckeyegal i hope your little ones make their arivals soon you have done so well lasting so long. Hope your sisters graduation went well and that you managed to watch it.
Angellica congrats on being an auntie, hope your sister is well. I bet you can't believe you will be joining her soon.
Rachel so sorry to hear you have been in hospital suffering with a pinched nerve, it sounds really painfull take care and rest lots. BTW your boss sounds like an idiot and can deal with the situation on his own, you don't have to worry.
To our new mummies you all sound like you are doing well, i can't wait to be in your position.
As for me we have had a pretty stressful time lately. Everything is fine with Bella however she is still not engaged and is enjoying lying across my belly using it like a big hammock. Hopefully she will be chilled when she makes her big arrival. We have had problems regarding our building and have discovered that our permits are not correct so we now have to reapply and knock down all internal walls before we apply again. AAHH also we are not sure if we will be granted permission to renovate the main farmhouse. Our local government is getting arsey about people living in the country. I am trying to remain calm and am leaving most of the planning meetings etc to DP and MIL. So i am now living in the farmhouse and trying to make it baby friendly. I am going away on wednesday for 3 days to stay with friends near Alicante which is a 4hr drive, i will make sure we have lots of pee stops along the way :). Looking forward to a bit of sea breeze, a nice pool and relaxation. I guess its ok to go swimming at 33 weeks i will ask my midwife at classes tomorrow. My next appointment to see my doc is 28th June and the week after i have my strep B test.
Take care all

Hi gals...still here! Got to watch some of my sister's graduation online yesterday...but the live feed wasn't working very well. I did manage to miss a good hour of it. Oh well. We did get to meet my family for dinner afterwards, so that was nice. Now, my sister says I'm allowed to have the babies anytime! :)

Ellie--oH, dear, what a pain with your permits! Ugh! I hope things can work themselves out. YOu really don't need to be dealing with that kind of stress right now. Have you tried playing music for Bella down near your woo-hoo? She might try to go towards that music! Good luck, and enjoy your trip. I hope your doc will let you go swimming. That sounds like heaven right now!

Racheal--How are you feeling? Has Makayla arrived yet?

Kim - You are free now! I can't wait to see your little ones. I hope you got one of each to make a matched set. Stay safe and comfy!

Ellie - Enjoy your holiday. Swimming should be okay as long as your cervix is still closed. Soon enough you will be a mommy too.

As for us, we are both fine. My nerve is healing and the therapy is helping. Makayla passed the inspection today. We are going to wait for Friday to do the C-Section. I am glad because there are DR appointments for the boys tomorrow and one for me on Wednesday. So now we just rest and wait for Friday.

Stay safe girls!

Racheal--I'm glad you're doing better! That's such good news that your nerve is healing. And Makayla is coming on Friday! Yeah! Just a few more days for you! I can't wait to hear details and see a photo. Keep us posted! Enjoy your last few days of pregnancy...if you can!

As for me, we had another NST today. All's looking good. I was paranoid about my water's leaking, so they checked me out....all's okay down there. I see the OB tomorrow. I'm hoping to get a date then!

Take care gals!

Hello Girls-

I like Colleen read and check in all the time, but can't always post. However, Aubrey is sleeping right now so I have some time... I hope your all doing well and taking care of yourselves & your baby's. I can't wait to check in and see who will arrive next...

Kim- that's great that you got to see your sister graduate via online... technology these days! Also it's great that your doing well... hopefully you'll get your date tomorrow at your apppointment. Keep us posted...

Racheal- I'm glad that your nerve is finally feeling better... and Friday will be here before you know it. I can't wait to see pictures of Makayla... I'm sure she's going to be so adorable. Please keep us posted... and we'll be thinking about you for a safe and fast delivery.

Ellie- glad to hear you & Bella are doing well... hopefully she changes her position before her arrival. Also I'm sorry that your having problems w/ permits fr your house... hopefully it will all get straightened out very soon. In the meantime enjoy your trip away to Alicante...

As for us we're doing well... Aubrey is such a doll and I'm enjoying her so much. She's eating every 4-5 hours and sleeping most of the time in between feedings... however, I'm trying to keep her up during the day so she'll sleep a little longer at night. I'm still pumping, but I'm actually starting to cut back.... I know it might sound horrible, but I kind of want to enjoy my summer this year and don't want to be tide to the house in order to pump... I want to be able to go to the zoo, race track, park, etc. I called the lactation nurse and she gave me some pointers on how to stop... but any advice from you previous breastfeeding moms would be great.

Chat w/ you all later...
Tasha

Hello All

This is a quick post. We had a surpise on Tuesday. I went into full blown labor at 4:00 am on Tuesday. I was rushed to the hospital and they performed the C-Section. Makayla Inez Matos was born at 9:05 am. She weighed in at 6 lbs 15 oz and she was 17 inches long. She is so very tiny and I am worried I will accidently hurt her. She is two lbs smaller than my last baby and 4 inches shorter. She is beautiful and is nursing really well. I will post a picture as soon as we get home, but we are still in the hospital. I should be going home in a day or two.

Stay safe everyone!

Racheal Big Congrats!!!! I hope you are doing well and heal quickly! I can't wait to see the pictures. 6 lbs 15oz isn't that small. My son weighed 5lbs 6oz and he is a very healthy tall boy :-)

Kim I am glad you are still hanging in there! You have done great carring those babies! You have made it just as far as those of us just carring one. :-) I was only 37w5d when I had Naomi. How are you feeling?

I too like Colleen and Tasha I check in often to read but don't really take the time to post. Naomi keeps me busy and my mom is still here and we are ALWAYS having company.

Ellie how are you doing? It won't be too much longer now.

Nance thanks for the nice comment about Naomi. She is such a good baby. She sleeps 5-7 hours at night usually about 11-5 or 12-5. But man it makes for sore hooters in the morning. :-) How are you doing? It won't be too much longer. :-)

Well take care everyone,
Cowgirl

Racheal- big congrats.... I'm so happy for you and can't wait to see pictures of Makayla! Take care and check back in when you can...

Cowgirl- how are you getting Naomi to sleep that long during the night???? Aubrey is only sleeping a max of 4 hours before she wakes up for a feeding. I'd love to get more sleep if I could... but 4 hours isn't that bad I guess. Also how much is Naomi eating right now???? Aubrey is up to 4oz. each feeding and I'm wondering if I should give her more.

Well I hope the rest of you are doing great and taking care of your bellies & baby's....

Kim- did you get a c-section date yet?

Kim and DH- Thinking of you. Hope your keeping well. At least your in the best place for know.

Glad to hear all the other mums are doing well. Sounds like you're all enjoying motherhood.

Kim and DH my prayers are with you and hopefully you get to meet your new additions soon. Kim has done such an awesome job carring those babies to 37 weeks!!!!! I can't wait to hear your birth anouncement!

Tasha the first couple days Naomi had her awake time backwards. She wanted to be awake from about midnight till 3 am or so. So what we did was WORK to keep her awake starting about 8. That entails feeding her about 8 then putting her in her bouncer. She starts fussing about 9:30 or 10, then I feed her. After I feed her she starts to get sleepy but I bath her which wakes her up, then I dress her for bed and feed her again. This usually ends about 11 or 12. Then she sleeps anywhere from 5am to 7:30 am. It was really hard to keep her awake at first, even had to resort to taking her diaper and clothes off which she does not care for to keep her awake the first night. But she normally sleeps at least 5 hours and even slept 7 hours one night. Man my boobs hurt that morning! I am breastfeeding so I am not certain how much she is eating but I would guess about 4oz. Because one day I fed her what I pumped and it was about 4 oz.

Good luck everyone,
Cowgirl

Cowgirl- thanks for the hints... I'm going to try and do some of those tonight. I've also been taking her on walks at night to help her get some fresh air, which I have been told helps them sleep better. However, I really can't complain... we're getting 4-4 1/2 hours from her at a time.

Well off to walk... chat w/ you girls later.

Tasha

PS- Good luck Kim... I hope everything turns out ok and hopefully you'll get to see your little ones very soon.
