Hi all

Gill Great to hear from you and so wonderful to hear that you have had such personal and indivdual support with your tmt cycle. As I am coming fromNHS experience it sounds great not to be treated in a certain range of criteria. All these tests sound interesting i have heard of some of them. Sounds like Big B are asking you all the right questions and going for broke to get your BFP. And it's good to hear that having the tests won't slow up or postpone your tmt any.  I am so happy that everthing was helpful for you and although you have to go back an extra time it all sounds positive :D :D . Are you back home how? Aand how did you find the hotel? Was it really hot ? 8) 8)

Jen thanks for the info on meds. How will you get the extra meds needed after your BFP?????. Have heard that nhs gp's are reluctant to prescribe the meds and many girls have had to source them on the internet! This is the bit i am worried about, cause you don't really know what your getting on the internet! :? I can totally understand that you will be floored when you hear the news that they have an ED. It will make it al sooooooooo real. cause soon after that you will be going for ET, then 2ww, then BFP BFP BFP... :D :D :D
:D Have you managed to catch up with BB yet? Charley is a minx and right mixer.

Becky- You are so strong!!! It's great that you are so excited for your boss, you must be so close. She seems to understand how difficult it is for you and that is a strong friendship. As you say you will soon be BFP and the 2 of you can share baby stuff together :D :D .
On BB glad to hear you feel the same way about that mixing minx Charley as i do. have you noticed that even when she was fighting with Nicky last night she continually looked at herself in the mirror. and she is so jealous of Chanelle and thinks she is better looking than her. DH thought Charley wass a man in drag  but i think she is pretty but it's her nasty back stabbing personallity that lets her down. I too am totally hooked. Shambam i think will go on Friday but do you think they will put someone else in????

Aunty- Hope everything is going ok with all your packing...and everything comes together on the day. Wishing you much love, happiness, health and loads of babies in your new home. x x

rachel- bummer about your computer. I had problems a couple of weeks ago and DH had to email Big B at work. Hope you get it fixed soon. x x

A BIG hi and hugs to everyone else.

WE are stuggiling up here (moved to the north east scotland 6 months ago from Glasgow) to get help on Dh's sperm diagnosois. in all oour cycles his sperm has been fine A okay. But Big B need a newer sample diagnosis than the one we have from last year. It's taken 2 wks for the GP to get info on hospital for sperm checks and now after phoning we need to wait until 26th JULY!!!!! for an appointment. Crazy!!!! In Glasgow they told us to come in the same day as it takes aweek for all the info/paperwork to be sent out. So this causes us some problems as we are flying out 2nd aug which means all the results will come AFTER
our 1st appointment. I cannot believe the medical tmt up here is so crap! God knows what it will be like when i need a pre lining scan here before ET   anyway enough of my moaning...I am off to email Big B to see if they can help...

Love to you all

 Hi Gill

This is a quick one as i have to be at work soon

So glad everything went well for you. Yes sounds like you have to go through a lot and i know it will be expensive but if it leads you to a bfp then its worth it. Does that mean you are not using an ED? I though thats why you were going to IM?
Aug is not long so chill and look forward to a bfp

They offered us pgd with my own eggs but given my history of bfn's we decided on the ED. Fingers crossed for both of us

Glad you liked the hotel and had some time with dh.

Will catch up with you more soon

Gill so glad you're home safely and all went well in the Big B, it sounds that they really want the best for you and taking all the right measures and tests to make sure you get that bfp!! Sounds really assuring.

Jen babes - so sorry you're having such a hard time up there trying to get tests done, nothing is ever so bloody simple is it!! I take it these are on the NHS - dont suspose ringing the hospital asking for an earlier appt explaining the situation would help???

Hey Becky, so glad you're feeling a wee bit better - you're so brave and such a wonderful woman - it must have been hard to hear you're boss' news and I can only imagine that she must have been quite worried in telling you, and i thought it was so nice that she confided in you.

Carolyn - hope you are resting - oh and not long now - I'm so excited for you!!

Aunty - really can't believe whats happened to your mortgage rate - is there nothing that can be done??? Especially in the states - I thought they are so tight on contracts etc..... oh I'm praying to win the lottery and shall send readies to you  Glad that you're not lost in a packing box - thinking of you and hope the move goes smoothly.

Shantala - babes where are you????????????????? :( hope yr ok.

Rachel - is the computer fixed yet - can't have you go MIA on us as well!!

Right on the BB front - so totally with you guys on Charley, I really don't like her, she is such a stirrer and she starts most of the arguments - couldn't believe it when she went back to Nicky and said that chanelle had said that they had been slagging ziggy off - I wish they could see through her - hope she is up for eviction next week, my phone bill will be so large!! Hope shabham is out tomorrow - she is useless!!

I'm off tomorrow - yyyeeeeppppeee as a day in lieu for all the extra hours i did last week, and boy shall I sleep in - the tiredness has hit big time.

love & hugs

You do need all the R&R your gonna get, AND it also helps stop morning sickness if you don't do too much and burn out all your vitamins  Hope you get some sun tomorrow and you can chill out in the garden topping up your vit D. As for us the sperm check is on the nhs and we did also say we would go private but they gave us the same date. Still waiting for reply from Big B. Hopefully the results from last year will be okay! Evening Ladies,

Had to reply to everyone saying how strong/brave i am. I think the reason i am like that, is because i already have 2 wonderful children and a happy family unit. Im not saying my want for a child isnt as strong as any other lady on here, but because you ladies havent experianced being pregnant or being a mum - then thats the reason i become so pleased for you all (and my boss) knowing that u soon will be able to experiance what i already have. Yes there are times when i think - why not me - but then i sit back and think of what i have, and what some ladies dont have, then im a very lucky lady.

I hope that doesnt sound hurtful, its not meant to be. And just because i have 2 children (adults now tho lol) doesnt mean i dont want any more, i would give anything to have Brian hold his own child in his arms, to be able to bond with his child the way i did with my girls - i want that more than anything - so i feel its just right to be pleased and happy for someone who is about to experiance it.

When u all get ur BFP's i will be cyber hugging u all as much as possible too - after all, thats what we are all here for - each other :D

Hi Girls :D

Well I have calmed down a bit now after getting our first appointment out of the way( and the rescue remedie helps! ).
I am feeling much more positive now we are having all these tests done :D . The clinic asked if we had ever had a chromosomic map(cariotype) done they said we probably would have and could we find out the results, well I had never heard of it :? , so I phoned our old clinic in Leeds up and they said that we hadnt had one done :( . The IM wanted 271euro each for the test but I have found out today that I can get it done through my GP for free :D :D !!! I think that my GP surgery is fan- bloody- tastic!!

Shantala- Fantastic news that af came at last :D ,You will soon be on your way to a BFP!! :D

Rachel- Hope your computer is fixed I hate it when things go wrong with my computer it drives me potty :x . You have done a fantastic job in losing weight :D I wish I could stick to a diet for more than a week, I managed to stop smoking over 3 years ago no problem  , but I just cant stop eating :?

Aunty- So sorry about the mortgage money its so unfair :( . I hope you are feeling a bit better, Im sure you will once you have moved in. BIG HUGS to help cheer you up.

Carolyn- I hope you are now relaxing!! 8) You havent stopped over these last few weeks. Great news about your test coming back normal, I think the more tests the better  all goes towards a BFP! So exciting for you I bet you cant wait to get started.

Jenb- Hope you have managed to sort out dh sperm test, Ive had trouble getting somewhere to have a scan done as my old clinic wanted us to pay £1000 for them to do scans and a bit of paper work :x ,you can imagine what I told them  You have a pup how lovely!, we would love to have a dog but as we are out early and home late when we are working it wouldnt be fair. Anywhay I dont think my cat Millie May would like a dog in her house!!

Jackie- Hope you and your lovely little bump are ok :D , not too much m/s I hope and are the (*)(*) are better :?

Becky- The garden sounds lovely, Sorry you have been feeling ill :( , I hope you are better and that dh has been looking after you  . Glad your daughter had a good time and that she is home safe and sound. Your boss was very kind to let you know first, its good to know some people understand how difficult it is.

Sorry I know I have missed some of you  , I hope that you are all well and I will catch up with you again.
Take care
Lots of love

Hi Ladies

Sorry that I have been MIA all week. Busy at work and just seemed to never get here in the evenings. Not sure where last week went?

Anyway some catch up as sister and family have given Legoland a miss today because of the pants weather. They'll just come tomorrow for brunch/tea so I finally have some time to catch up with you all 8)

Gill - I am so pleased that you had a successful trip to Big B. Been thinking of you. I am with you - the more testing the better. I think that at least if they test everything then they know the full picture. Your GP sounds awesome. The more help that you can get then the better for the £. I am having a hysterscopy done in a couple of weeks which is new for me too. Had all my immunes tested and we are now into chromosone testing too. We will also have PGS/PGD on the embies if we get a good number. Good luck for all the tests. It will be worth it - for both of us

JB - hope that you are felling pumped after all the info from Jen1d and Gill on Big B. Sorry that you have been having hassle here. Sure that Big B is going to be awesome after what you have had to put up with over here. Have a truely fantastic weekend. Wonder what you sh has planned for you. I did not want a big party. Afraid that I had to face the big 4-0 last May. We went away and had a lovely long weekend together. Have a great time and enjoy the bubbles! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUN. I down regged on cycle 1 but injections. Then 2 & 3 were short so never done the sniffing before so not sure how I'll do. On the down reg injections I was a bit headachy and hot flushes but I will just have to put up with it - new clinic believes that long protocol has worked better in past (best # of embies) so that is what they want me to do again - so that is what I will do!!!!

Jackie - Hope the symptoms are not too bad for you hun but I would also try to take it as a good sign that all is going great with the little one  PM me if you are going to Dubai and interested in the details. The info I got was through a freind of a friend whose job is to write a shopping column for a newspaper out there. So she really knows her stuff. What a cool job - piad to shop!!!

Aunty - hope that all the moving in goes well today. I am so very sorry that you 'lost' the tmt fund on the house. That is such a bummer. I wish you every happiness in your new home. Focus on the future hun

Rachel - every little bit helps. You are doing so well to stick to the diet. I am going into this treatment at a higher weight than any of my other cycles so goodness only knows how heavy I'll be by the end of it. Just have not been able to get down to the weight loss this time. You have done so well. Have a good time with your parnets and hope that you are back with full internet soon

Jen1d - this rushing around has got to stop   Pot and Kettle!!!! When do you think that you might next hear news from Big B? The protocol sounds good with no injections and it is great that all your tests were fine

Kim - What you said about dh was so touching. I feel so sad when I see my dh with little people and know that I cannot give him his own. It is heartbreaking. But we will get there! Any news on your letter or is it too soon?

Becky - I am with you 150%. How could that wally Simon win rather than Kristina. It was a traversty. I think that it was just her age that counted against her which is appaling. She did well on the task and seemed so together. I was angry. I was my brothier-in-law, niece and nephew - we were all gobsmacked but had to drive home afterwards so could not see the aftermath. I will miss it now. Not get into BB yet as been around so little - am saving that for tmt time! It was thoughtful that your boss told you her news. It is hard for all of us. I had lunch with my 'old' boss on Thursday and he blurted out that one of the girls who worked for me was expecting. I was so sad that she had not told me. I held it together and then had to dash out to the loo in floods of tears. I want to be happy for her. It is just rough. Plus I hate it when people tred on egg shells around us. I e-mailed her and then she called me back but I just did not feel up to talking to her. So have e-mailed and texted. I was honest when she said that she'd like to meet up in the next few weeks and just said that tmt was my priority for now. I hate it when the green monster appears. You are a lovely and brave lady. You must have quite a relationship with your boss

Shantala - hope you are ok and just a busy bee like me

Hugs to anyone that I have missed. Scrolled back as far as I could but could not get back as far as my last post as it was so long ago!!!

Well my sister took a good decision not bringing her 5 year old and 2 year old for Legoland as it is pouring with rain. It will be nice to see them tomorrow and seems good to do it pre-tmt. So busy day ahead for me - getting ready to have 11 people here tomorrow and then we have a mate staying all next week as he is between houses. I hope that it will prove a distraction for me. Getting hair cut this afternoon too. Lots to do. So must rush - as always.

I just want to get started now. Cannot believe that it is the weekend and then I will start. I feel ready to get on with it. I am a bit scared about the intensity but know that I have earned enough 'credit' at work that if it all gets too much that I will just take more time off. HONEST!!!! It is going to be my top priority - well after Royal Ascot on Tuesday!!!!!!! Well it is better than being busy with work all the time. Will be a chance to parade one of my new (fake) bags along with a big hat and bright pink dress !!!!! After that I have made no social plans for a month - PROMISE. Must try NOT to lose the tmt fund!!!!!!!

Enjoy the weekend ladies. Hope better where you are than in London - raining quite hard. Will let you know how I get on with the sniffing when I start at 7am on Monday morning

Lots of Love
Carolyn

Hi ladies, hope you are all well. Sorry i didn't get on before i left.

We did get our letter off, so we play the waiting game on the outcome, shouldn't be too long. it's awful though as we feel like we are begging for what is rightfully ours. We had a fantastic break away, and have piled the pounds on with all the restaurants, also had quitea bit of champagne over the week. we are having a BBQ tomorrow for all the family to celebrate DH 40th as they sulked that we went away, then i will be on a strict diet, need to lose about 2 stone.

Gill, glad your trip went ok, which clinic were you with in Leeds, i am at LGI, self funding, until my free one. What is a Chromosonic map? excuse my ignorance.

Rachel, hope the pc is fixed soon, its so iiritating when you can't go on at a whim, it makes you realise how much we use them. To think we didn't even have them 10 years ago.

Jenb, have a great weekend and happy birthday, life begins as they say and with BibgB coming up its all looking good for you. I agree with you on the champagne, i am partial to a glass or 2.

jackie, hope your resting up this weekend and DH is spoiling you. He should be in your condition.

Becky, you are such a lovely person, and your boss was extremely thoughtful to let you know first privately. Good luck a t your meeting, i hope you are able to start asap. Glad your daughter enjoyed the festival, you cannot beleive some people though, the brass cheek of it all.

carolyn, hope you have a nice day with Ds and the kids, wow your time is here at last, good luck on Monday, enjoy the sniffing. i am with you how did Simon win the apprentice, i was routing for Christine from early on. I hated kate, too snobby for me and slagged off us northern people as if we were ignorant.

Shantala, glad the evil AF finally arrived and will not affect your work. not
long now. take care.

Aunty, hope the move went well, and you feel better soon, stupid mortgage woman. Enjoy making your new house your own, we are thinking of you. Take care.

I am hooked on BB, get charley out next week, i like Laura.

to anyone i've missed, i'm sorry, but my thoughts are with you all. take care.

This will hopefully give you all a laugh. Thought that I'd put my sniffer together so I was already for Monday at 7am. Failed to take the cap off properly. Jammed it into the liquid and sent it all over the floor. Good start. While I would have been stressed at the start, I now rolled around on the floor laughing. It is the same drug that I used via injections - burselin - so guess that I shall feel the same but without the black bruises on my thighs.

Been to shops and got all food etc for family buffet/party tomorrow. My nephew will be 2 in a three weeks so doing now to avoid a trip to Birmingham in the middle of tmt. All laid out (as far as I can) so I don't have to get up too early. It is like seeing family before going on a trip/journey. Just only me and dh know about the journey that we are about to embark on.

Had my hair cut, nails done so I am ready to rock & roll.

Bring it on.

Have a nice evening and a good Sunday ladies.
Love
Carolyn

Hi

Carolyn - Just wanted to wish you lots of luck for tomorrow, we will all be here for you but know you will be just fine and dandy. Bring on that BFP

Sorry girls but not in a very good one over the last few days, am stressed out about a few things.

1. Work - got to start SVQ 4 on the 26th, dealing with others probs in supervision, big bosses expecting to much of me etc.
2. Family - Mum is diabetic and is going through some tests, dh Dad is diabetic and really quite ill again going in and out of hosp.
3. Big B - Thought i would have heard from them by now about ED. Apparently i still have to start medi at start of July but will be really gutted if they havent found one and its delayed.
4. Ex-Keychild (more like a son now) - Trying to help him with jobs etc etc and getting frustrated with him and myself.
5. BB - Want to hit Charley----hard  Oh good my sense of humour is coming back

Feeling a bit low and need a good kick up the a---------.
Anyway maybe i will snap out of it soon, would cheer me up is Big B would just give me some info------more waiting.

We are going down to Middlesborough to see dh Dad on Wednesday for 2 days then to Liverpool for our godsons first communion but selfishly i just want to curl up on the couch and cry but i refuse to let the tears come and have to try and stay strong, its hard though.

Had 4 girls round to my house last night, havent seen 3 of them for nearly 19 years. We all went to college together to study Nursery Nursing and are having a reunion next year for our 20 years so got together to organise it. We had fun and it took my mind off things until one of the girls asked if i had kids. I said no and very briefly said i had done 4 rounds of ivf-------silence-------its a real party stopper eh. I felt embarrassed and just said i might try once more then thats it. The conversation only lasted for about 6 mins and nobody said anything. I just want to have some good news and feel the same as everyone else. Does anyone else feel as if they are not a real woman or not involved in some debates, conversations because they dont have kids?

Anyway not going to stay around and bring everyones mood down.

Love to you all

Hi Girls :D

Jen- Sorry you are feeling a bit down at the moment :( , I am sure it wont be long until they get you a donor and then you will be able to start tmt straight away. I wish they had said I could start without having to go back for all these tests :? :( , but there we go I am trying my best to be positive, Its very hard though! I hope your mum and your dh dad are ok, I worry about my dh too, with this diabeties .I dont think we realised before all the complications etc that come with it, but he is looking after himself a lot better already (watching what he eats and drinks) so hopefully he will be ok.

JenB- :D HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY :D for tomorrow, I hope you have a great day, enjoy the champers!!

Carolyn- Hope your party went well today and I am glad to hear you have been getting pampered :D 8) . I will be thinking of you at 7am GOOD LUCK with the sniffing, Im so excited for you :D .

Aunty- Have you moved in yet? Hope you are feeling better

Rachel-Any news with your internet yet :? ? Its not the same without you  , come back soon!!!

Beachbaby- Hope you are having a great bbq, hope the weather is as good there as it is in sunny north wales 8) . We had all our last 4 cycles at st james university hospital, I am not impressed with them i must say :( especially as they wanted £1000 for a scan and some paperwork that I needed for Barcelona, well I didnt need to go there in the end, I managed to sort out a scan in my local hospital. Chromosomic map(cariotype)is where they check the chromosomes for abnormalities, they check me and dh. Barcelona said we should have had it done but when I phoned leeds to find out they said that they only test donors(another reason for not being impressed with st james!)Barcelona said it was an important test so I have arranged for dh and me to go to the gp's on wednesday for a blood test, It can take up to 3 weeks for the result so I needed to sort it quickly so I can send the results to Barcelona.

Sorry to those I have missed  , hope you are all well and have had a great weekend.
Lots of love
Gill xxx
