A bit about me...new to the boards. I'm 34 single and want to be a mommy! Hoping I am a cadidate for IUI. Because of my job, I hope to be successful by Oct or I won't be able to try again til June or so of next year!

What can I expect my first visit?

JS - Glad that trasfer went well and that the little ones are back where they belong. I read a new acroynym on another board. You are PUPO - which I took to mean - Pregnant Until Proved Otherwise!!! I thought that it was quite cute as well as being true. Thinking of you in the 2ww. Hope that you are looking after yourself. With the others, I have read that fragmentation helps give them something to attach with so sounds good to me

Aunty - How is the house? Wishing you & Sam a wonderful 4th wedding anniversary on Monday. Are you doing something nice together? Thanks for thinking of me. Need all the help that I can get

Jen1d - Hope that all is ok with dh's Dad. Have a great time in Liverpool this weekend hun. Will help pass the time til you get started

Shantala - you must be busy as I have not heard from you for ages. Hope that all is ok

Jayne - so sweet that your dh kisses before he injects. My dh runs a mile!!! Have warned him this time that it is likely that I have some intramuscular ones in the bum that he might have to do. Just thinking about it makes him feel sick! Hope that you hear good news soon from the appeal

JB - Thanks for the jigging men. I need more as no sign of AF at all yet. Have a great week. Plenty of shopping. Sounds fab to me. Hope that there is a reply from Big B for you on Monday. Please keep jigging for me hun

Becky - list made me smile. I have started. ARRRGGGHHH. AGAIN. You are not far behind me. Love the bring it on bit of your ticker about bring it on. Love the Attitude. No Grease. No Joseph. No Apprentice. Seems like I better get into BB!?

Gill - it is great to hear that Big B respond so quickly to your queries. They sound really together which is so encouraging. How is your dh coping with his diabetes

Karia - Your trip around Europe sounds awesome. Where are you go - everywhere? Bags and Shoes. Sounds like we are on the same page there. I LOVE BOTH. Wore stupidly high, strappy sandals to Royal Ascot - the boys that I went with thought that I was loopy. Flip flops tucked into my handabg came in handy by late afternoon

Shaz - good luck for the fight. We are all rooting for you

Pequele - welcome. You have come to the right place as the girls are so supportive. I have never done iui - too old - but sure some of the other ladies will help you with questions. So ask away

LauraLou - Thanks sweetie for hunting me out. Hope that all is well with both Nicholas and Jeremy. Bet you cannot believe that they are over a month already. Amazing. Hope that you are loving every moment of it

Hugs to everyone I missed.

I have had a really rough couple of days. Picked up a bad cold/cough I think. On Thursday evening felt under the weather but just thought that it was the down regging kicking in. Yesterday had to go to work as picking up from somebody and it was his last day. No choice. Coughing like a trouper all day. Now sneezing and blowing as well as a sore throat. Think that this cannot all be the down regging drugs and so have a cold too. Bummer. At least it is the weekend so can really chill out. Does it sound like the sniffing (never done before) or that I have a cold? Hope that it is the later but would rather not feel like this for another 3 weeks of down regging  I guess that this is the effect of going to Ascot. It poured with rain in the evening and I did get quite wet so may be that is when it happened. No more going out for me. Am doing a minimum of 2litres of water every day which seems to be keeping the headaches away. No hot flushes as yet so cannot complain to much - yet!

Our house guest was fun and took my mind of tmt this week. He left last night after being here since last Sunday so nice to have the house back to me & dh.

Did acu on Thursday to try to bring on AF but no sign at all. She is bound to me late for me this month!!!!! I get to call the clinic on D1 and book my scan and hysterscopy too. BRING IT ON!

Enjoy the weekend lovely ladies.
Lots of love
Carolyn

Quiet around here. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Pequele - ticker looking good. Less than 3 weeks until your consultation. Hope it flys by

Jayne - Hope that AF is not too bad for you. Mine is showing signs of being just around the corner but may be she is teasing me. Hope that you had a nice walk in the rain with your dh

Have been feeling very sorry for myself. Not been out of my PJs since I came home from work on Friday evening. Dh has been a sweetheart and done everything - washing, cooking, shopping. Sure that this cannot just be the down regging and that I have a cough/cold too. Signs of AF being almost here too which are not helping my mood/physical well being but at least they mean that I can get underway. Would expect to be calling the clinic either Monday or Tuesday and can then book my 1st down regging scan.

Told dh this morning that this is it and I cannot do another Fresh cycle. Feeling like this 4 times is enough for me. He did not say much but I hope that he understands. May be, just may be I will not need to do a Frozen or donor cycle either???!!!!

Have a good week ladies. Will help if the weather cheers up - raining again! Probably be super sunny tomorrow when we are all back to work.

Lots of Love to you all.

Hi Ladies

Quick update from me. AF here. Will count tomorrow as D1 so exactly on time. MIRACLE - on time for once!

So call the clinic tomorrow and then expect down reg scan on Friday. Suddenly don't feel quite as gloomy and ill.

Will keep you posted. Expect hysteroscopy next Monday and then start stimmies.
Lots of Love

Hi ladies,

Carolyn, sorry i forgot to reply to you yesterday, i think you must have a bug on top of the drugs, i am very lucky in that i had hardly any side effects. So glad AF has arrived on time, and you can move to the next stage, hope you are feeling better soon, you should take tomorrow off you have earned it and you want to be 100% for this cycle. Yoy dh sounds so sweet, mine would have left the washing for me later.
Got wet yesterday and had to take shelter in the pub, until the rain stopped.

Has everyone gone awy for the weekend? hope your all having fun. take care.

Hello All,

I can't get on the net much at work these days, so haven't been able to keep up.

Carolyn, hope you're feeling better. Of course you won't have to go through this again, because this time you're going to have a BFP. Stay positive, and give yourself plenty of rest. Really excited for you.

JS, keeping fingers crossed for you. Sounds good so far.

Jen B - hope you're enjoying your break and doing loads of shopping.

Becky - Hope you're doing ok.

Aunty - how is your move going?

Beachbaby - have you heard anything since your appeal. Keep fighting.

Gill - how are things with you? When is your AF due?

Hope the rest of you ladies are doing well too. Sorry don't have enough time for more personals.

I have an appointment with the hospital today, and hopefully they will refer us now (on NHS). In the meantime we have sent off our reports to the private clinic too.

One more friend announced a pregnancy over the weekend. They got married after us, and as of now everything has gone to plan for them. Its so not fair! But for the first time, I was able to take it in stride and think that my time will come soon. Trying to stay positive. And must say that you lot are a big help when it comes to support.

Take care

Will try to log on from home sometime.
