Jayne - Thank you - think that you are right. It could not possibly have all been down to the nasal spray. Cold/cough now seems to be passing. Plus have taken your advice and my dh (does not happen often  ) and stayed at home today. Just nipped out for a couple of hours to deliver presentation as did not want it to slip til next week when I am really in the thick of it.

Aunty - Thank you. I am back on track. Just a very early dip in the tmt rollercoaster! Have a wonderful 4th anniversary today with Sam

Gill - what a bummer. No computer for 10 days. We'll be thinking of you even if you are unable to post

Angel - hope that appointment went well. It is good if you were able to take your friends announcement in your stride. I always get the green eyed monster even if I want to be happy for my friends

Jen1d - really good to have you back. Sounds like you had a great time. We missed you. Hope that work not too awful for you

Hugs to everyone else.

Called clinic. Down reg scan is on Friday. Waiting call back to see when hysteroscopy will be - Friday, Saturday or most likely Monday.

Off to bed. Feel much better. Thank you. But have a full work day tomorrow so need by sleep.

Have a good week girls.

Beckster - sorry that you have been down. Not a good place to be. I am feeling better now hun as cold is passing. I was ready to stop the whole thing at the weekend. Hope that you are feeling better. You know where we are if you need a cheer up or a rant

Jen1d - WOW. You are on your way. How exciting. When will you hear from Big B??? AF ahead of time - now that really is a first. So hope that we might overlap 2ww a bit so we can compare symptoms and lack of them and go mad together

No more personals as nearly time for my 11pm sniff and then really need to go straight to bed. Dh scowling at me still being on the computer this late - he has a point as long day at work not helped clear cold much!?

Clinic called me and hysteroscopy will be Monday if all well with down reg scan on Friday. Lining needs to be super thin!

Hugs to everyone.

Hi Ladies,

Becky i hope your feeling better, this damn Fvf really gets to us at times, take care not long now till you start.

Carolyn, glad you took the day off, and are starting to feel better, it sounds like everything is right on schedule for you, i am so glad, are you happy with the clinic?

Jen1, congratulations on AF, she is behaving herself for most of us very strange. sounds like your going to have major work load coming up, i hope you don't stress too much you need to be calm for the ED, will you taake holiday time?

As for me still not heard anything from the appeal, but left home before post this morning, on another subject DH suffers from a bad back and has just started accupuncture for it. He was talking to the guy that does it and asked about infertility. Turns out he is really interested in this subject, he is also a part time midwife at the local hospital. He says there is no such thing as unexplained, there is always a reason, he is currently treating 3 women for If, he wants to see me mid cycle so i see him on July 12th, i'm a bit apprehensive, but i will try anything.
will keep you all posted.

where is everyone?

 Hi girls

Wow, i am knackered. Have started my SVQ 4 and its so hard. Might be a bit quiet for a while until i get into the swing of things. It will take 8 months and is going to be long, time consuming ans stressful. I want to get as mush as possilbe done before Aug so i can chill a bit during 2ww.

Carolyn - That would be cool if we could do the 2ww together and have lovely BFP's at the end  Hope the headaches are getting better and not worse

Jayne - Wont take holidays, its too stressful to put it down and try to start aian. I justplan to work my butt of and get it done. Good news about your app on the 12th, hope all goes well.

Rachel - Hope your feeling a bit better today. Its always ood to go and have a good old chat with the Dr. Bosses, who wants them, put your foot down girls and tell him straight, he sounds like a right pig

Ok, hi to everyone else, will catch up soon. Am away to chill after a busy day, not use to using my brain so much

hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

sorry, ive been so quiet. have been busy at work and have had some other stuff on my mind lately but i think about you all a lot! i try and read posts every other day and keep up so even if i'm not posting i still know what you're all up to. so no talking about me!!

so.......

i've got to have some words with some of you....welshbugger, carolyn and lara - i dont like you all feeling so under the weather, whats going on!?!?! :( :( no, on a serious note, we all go through it (who opened up the feeling bad thread???!! ) and we all understand. i hope you all feel much better and upbeat soon. :D the weather certainly doesnt help and i'm sure if it brightens up soon you'll all feel much better.

carolyn - wow, honey, scan friday. how exciting!!!! and then your op next week and on to stimmies. it's come round really fast all of a sudden. thanks for asking about me. i'm good, just have a lot on. shame we wont be cycle buddies as such after all. (especially when my AF was so late!!)...when are you likely to test?? ive noticed you sniff at 11 in the evening. does that mean youve been sniffing 11am and 11pm?? how have you found it?? i did read about your sniffer incident the other day and although i'm sure it wasnt funny i did have to laugh. its funny what we have to do and what accidents we have, isnt it?!

welshbugger - hey hun, hope you're feeling a bit more positive! hugs!! the list is looking fab as usual!!

jen1d - whats an SVQ (something vocational qualification???). sounds like you have a lot of work on with it but it may take your mind of this whole IF thing. i know my job is keeping me very busy but it also stops me thinking about IVF 24 hours!!

lara - so sorry to hear about you feeling down and so sorry about your employer also. sounds like he/she's not very nice at all. let us know how you get on. lovely to have you back!!

jayne - shame you havent heard from the appeal yet but no news is good news!! the accupuncture thing sounds interesting. i had accu with my last cycle and there are studies on it that seem to show significant increases in success rates so it's worth a shot i think. brilliant that he's a midwife too!

gill - sorry your laptop is poorly. hope you get it back soon and its all fixed. we'll miss you!

aunty - hope you had a nice anniversary monday (think it was monday). and i read somewhere that you're painting so hope you're getting on with that ok. xx

jen babes - have they gotten back to you yet???

pequele - welcome to the board!!!!!!!!!!!! the ladies (and gents) are very supportive on here and you can share any concerns you may have and no doubt someone will be on here thats been through something similar. not sure what they'll discuss at your first appointment as it really depends on your circumstances and ive never been through IUI so dont know much about it. i guess they'll just go through your medical history, the process, success rates, etc. good luck!!

js - congrats on getting your embies back! i know some of the ladies already replied about the fragmentation but from what ive read on here its not a bad thing at all. a lady i know had fragmented embies put back and she has twins now. teh best of luck for next week. how you feeling??

angel - good on you for taking the pregnancy news so well. its so hard and you're very right, its not fair. how did your app go today??

karia - best of luck with your diet, let us know how you get on. hope you have a nice time in dublin.

shaz - sorry if ive not said welcome....if not, welcome!!!!! sorry to hear about your PCT refusing your third cycle. good on you for fighting it.

sorry if ive missed anyone. and sorry for being such a bad cyberfriend at the moment!!!

as for me, i start sniffing (downregging) again on sunday and am very excited but very apprehensive too. got all my meds yesterday and everything is ready.....eek!! its so nice not to have all that worry this time round as i know what to expect. (i was worried about absolutely everything last time except test day and now i'm worried about nothing but test day!! ) so its just nice to go along with the flow this time. ive also booked the anticipated week of EC and ET off at work as sick and explained to my boss that i'm having a minor gynea procedure that week and she asked no more questions. welsh - my dates are start downregging 30th june, d/r check 24th july, start stimms 26th july, first follie scan 3rd aug and EC and ET w/c 6th august.

right, sorry for the long post and hope that all of you who are feeling s**t feel much better soon. we all so know how you feel and are all here for you!! ***BIG HUGS****

Jen1d - Hope that you managed to chill out after your intense day. You need to take it easy now you are doing tmt (lol!!!!). I am sure that it is going to be challenging doing the study and getting the nursery ready at the same time

Rachel - great to have you back. Must have been so frustrating. It is great that you put no weight on. Sure that you can get back on track now you are computered up again! I am so sorry that they are messing you around at work. That is so rubbish. May be he'll come around. I so hope so

Jayne - I am like you. Will try anything. So if he thinks that he can figure things out then get in there is what I say. Will be really interested to see what he comes up with. I am really bought into the whole acu thing. I am very impressed with my clinic so far. But guess that it is early days. They test for everything which I like. There is so standard protocol or standard drugs. I really feel that it is very personalised. But guess given what we are spending, it really ought to be good!

Becky - are you feeling any better hun? HUGS

Aunty - we all want to know about your new home. How is it all going?

Shantala - we all want to know where you are!!!!

Gill - hope that you are reading even if you are unable to post

Hugs to everyone else.

I feel much much better although have now managed to give cold to dh - either than or he has been sniffing too!!!!! Thanks for asking. Just knocked for six by a really bad cold. To be honest the sniffing has not been bad at all - drinking 2 litres of water a day seems to be keeping the headaches to a minimum and no real hot sweats yet. Beats injecting saving the main sites for later!!!! Feeling ok about it and trying to save my energy/stress for the next phases.

Hope that you are all doing well. More than 1/2 way through this week. Weekend soon.

Love to you all.

Shantala

She is back. Yippeee and with what a mega post. 8) Welcome back hun

We must have been posting at the same time so did not see your post when I was writing!

Wow you are starting very soon now. That came around quickly too. So hope that this is going to be your turn hun. You have all your meds. They will not tell me what I am on until Monday!!!

I have to sniff 3 times a day. 11pm. 7am. 3pm. The afternoon one has been rather amusing. Had to leave an interview which I was conducting yesterday mid way through to go to the loo, sniff and then back to it! How come you only sniff twice a day? May be it is because I down regging for fewer days. To be honest I have found the sniffing totally fine - 1st time for me as wehn I did down reg on attempt 1 i was on injections instead. It was the cold on top that really messed me up. Not been too tired or headachy either. Have been sure to drink at least 2 litres of water every day. I will likely test around the very end of July or very start of August so we will overlap a bit

Lovely to hear from you. Don't over do it. You need to look after you now that you are on the verge of starting tmt.

Love
Carolyn

Hello,

Quick one while I can. Had an appointment at the hospital this week and they have finally referred us to the fertility clinic. BUT the waiting time is a minimum of 1 year!!!!! And we only get one chance on NHS. The doc was a bit flippant about the whole thing and joked that we should move to a borough that gives 3 chances on NHS. She was probably trying to delievr the bad news in a nice way but the way all of her light heartedness came out was not right for the time and I burst out in tears. I just could not stop. After my GP having given us the hope that the waiting list is not that long and we could be given more than one chance, this was a complete blow!!! I know we are going private anyway but we had this hope where we would try priovate once and should the cycle fail, we will receive our appointment on NHS. Its difficult enough accepting that we won't be able to conceive naturally but why does the process make it so difficult for people like us who are already going through an emotional upheaval????? I also think the doctors should be given a lesson on sensitivity when informing patients. For them its a daily thing, but for the patients its like a bolt of lightening.

Sorry for the rant, but just had to vent out my frustrations. I don't mean to dampen your spirits, esp the ladies who are going through their cycle at this point. Still sending out lots of best wishes your way.
