Hi Ladies - I was just wondering how everyone was doing??? Am I missing anyone on the list below?

Tajma and Dixiegal1 - did you guys go back for a 2nd beta? If so, what was your level? I posted mine below. I've been noticing quite a difference in everyones levels. I guess everyone is different and the levels don't really depict if you are having multiples or not? The question now is if we will be having one or two????

Jodi - best of luck tomorrow.

Girls, I am very sad today, cried all morning, now I have some strength to come post.
Well, this morning I started spotting and I was devastated, so I said, what the heck, and did an HPT, and it was negative. I am already 9dp3dt, so it should be positive by now, mainly because in 2 days I have my beta, and in my first cycle by this time it was positive already. So I know this is it for me, needless to say I am totally totally devastated........

Hope you guys have better results than me........

Vicky77,

Don't give up yet. You don't know for sure that it's negative. Just try to relax and I am sure you will be fine. You know that a lot of people have spotting and they end up pregnant.

Vicki - hang in there!! I bled very badly throughout my first trimester with my daughter last year and it all turned out good. I know you are sad and scared right now, but it will be ok. My thoughts are with you, stay strong

I'm sorry Vicki, but I didn't take a HPT last year. I have heard of a lot of people testing negative at home, but positive with the bloodwork. The waiting is awful!! I wish I could say the right thing to help you feel better!! I am thinking of you and saying a prayer for you!

Hi Vicky, don't give up hope just yet. My RE has told me time and time again not to do a hpt because it is just not a reliable indicator. You may not have enough hormone built up to detect it with one of those tests and each time is different, right? So, your experience last time may not apply.

I know it is incredibly hard, but try to hold onto a little hope. I will be keeping you in my prayers.

Jodi - best of luck tomorrow, you will also be in my prayers tonight.

I understand completely how some of you ladies are feeling right now. I have become quite obsessive over my symptoms (or sometimes lack there of). Always checking the tp. I used the restroom right before my acupuncture appointment yesterday and I had one tiny little spot. My acupuncturist said that it might be implanation spotting and that usually occurs about 5 days after transfer (yesterday was day 5).
My bbs are definitely tender and I am feeling a bit tired. But I also have these mild little cramps that almost feel like premenstrual cramps and they are driving me crazy. My doctor said that progesterone and/or estrogen do not usually cause this, but I have literally read a million different websites that said progesterone does cause cramping. Hope that they are menstrual cramps :(

Vicky I'm really sorry about you're hpt, but you can't be totally certain till you go to the clinic. Do you have blood work done or just a urine sample?
I did once get a negative on 7day post transfer and then positive on day 8pt.

Let us all know how you get on.

Vicky.....dont lose ur hope gal,U Still have Chances.......I will keep u in my prayers...

One Article says....
I am experiencing spotting before my scheduled pregnancy test. Is this normal?
Spotting during your 2 week wait could mean a number of possible things: an embryo is implanting, one embryo is implanting while another is detaching, your period is arriving. Please always call your clinic if spotting occurs. You should always go ahead with your clinic's pregnancy test even if the spotting is heavy. There is really no way to tell what is happening until the pregnancy test gives the clinic some indication.

When is the earliest I can do a home pregnancy test (HPT)?
It is very tempting to do a home pregnancy test before the one scheduled by your clinic. However if you had an hCG injection (the one 2 days before your retrieval) it could take up to 2 weeks for the hCG to leave your system. If you have received hCG boosters it could take even longer. If you test while the hCG from the injection is still in your system you could get a false positive. You could also get a false negative if the hCG from the injection has left your system and the hCG produced by the implanted embryo isn't strong enough yet. If you do decide to do an HPT, please realize that it is not a conclusive result and that you should always have your cycle results confirmed by your clinic

I am hoping that your blood work shows a positive. Keep positive thoughts. I am one to talk though. I am not feeling too positive right now at all. Yesterday at my acupuncture appt, I had some thick mucous come out - not a lot but enough to make me go.. hmm what the heck. The upset tummy I have, well.. my dental assistant had it too today, so I really don't think that this worked for me. I have tickets to Dancing with the Stars for Sat night- Joey Fatone, Joey Lawrence, Joey MacEntyre, and all the other man hotties.. If it is neg- I am giving my ticket to my hygienist so she can take her husband... Although he said he would rather scratch his eyeballs out than go see it. I just don't think I would be any fun, I would be sad- I almost have had good thoughts up until now... I was feeling it until today. Anyway.... enough sad crap.

Vicki... keep positive and know that people are thinking of you and DH. I have had one IVF to fail 2 years ago and I was devestated as well.. but you cry you get mad and you press on.

take care and I hope I have some good news for tomorrow.
Night night.
Jodi
