Hi qbndaddy,

I'm not convinced that you are the only guy here...there have to be others. In fact, I have seen postings from other dads, just not on this thread. (I'm sure that there are many that view here too, but just don't post).

We welcome you and your postings anytime! And congrats on the leap year due date...how do you feel about that???

They have found out i have pregestational diabetes. So there are lot of restriction on the diet i am taking. Thursday have a appointment with my dietician. Hi Sweety,

Congratulations on your wonderful ultrasound appointment today. How exciting! :D

Do they give you a picture of the ultrasound each time you have an ultrasound so that you can put it in your baby album? We have been lucky to get one from our nurse when we go. The grandparents LOVE IT when we email them with the latest picture. We started them with the embryo picture that we were given at our transfer and they just can't get enough of it. Funny.

I don't have any experience myself (yet) with presentational diabetes, however I don't think that it is really that uncommon. Your dietician will be able to help you with it and I'm sure that you will be just fine. Keep us posted on what she tells you. I'm very interested.

Congratulations,
Kathi

qbndaddy: Wow. We can tell that you are excited. And hilarious. It's refreshing to have an opinion from the other half...you are very entertaining. Keep posting!

And the 10th will be here before you know it. Good luck, I can't wait to hear how it goes.

gbndaddy- you are going to be a great dad. now get some sleep, you'll need all the sleep you can get now.

we had our first ultrasound yesterday. we have one strong lil embryo in there. the heart beat is amazing to see. but in some ways makes me more nervous about the chance of losing this pregnancy. now its so real. i'm trying to just relax and take things as they come. i'm a bit high strung so thats not in my nature but i can follow my DH lead.
i was so sure we had twins so i think i was a little disappointed (greedy i know). the dr thinks there was a twin that didnt survive for whatever reason. i am happy with one healthy one. just make it a girl-haha.

enjoy your day everybody.

couldn't resist... (wanted to check in on the girls who were on the May-June thread with me and saw this post!)

qbndaddy,

OF COURSE women miss sex as much as men do! I though I would go crazy during my 2ww! :D But stress, nausea and fatigue, among other common early-pregnancy symptoms, can seriously impact sex drive. Be patient...

Nevertheless, as my sweet husband said before my first 2ww, and I fully agree, "You've still got a mouth and a pair of hands my darling, so everything is good!" I laughed so hard at that one (because my husband is everything BUT pushy or demanding)! Don't tell your wife though, she might punch you in the face.

Cheerio!

qbndaddy-

Of course women miss the physical part as well. As I told my DH though, he isn't allowed to complain as at least he can take a long shower and release his own sexual tension. Since women aren't allowed to orgasm through any form, we've got nothing.

Anyway, good luck!

our board has been so quiet. i hope everybody's doing well (and babies too).
i am in the waiting period for my next scan (constantly full of nerves). my OHSS has caused my belly to swell to new proportions. it looks pretty amazing. i just consider it a trial run for my big pregnancy belly i'll have later. haha.

Hi, I'm hoping to join this group. I'm 7 wks 3 days along and have a 2/24 due date. Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to hear the heartbeat. I go back on Friday and I'm hoping for the best but preparing myself for the worst. The only hope I have is everything so far has been delayed and they think the embryo attached a couple of days late. Even though there hasn't been a heartbeat they have seen some progress...I jsut hope it's enough. They saw the stem on Monday so we'll see. It's great to see everyone else is doing well and making progress. Good luck and God bless. Thanks for listening. Take care, KAW

Welcome KAW! And congratulation on your BFP. Hopefully everything will turn out just fine for you on Friday. Have they been monitoring your progesterone levels? What about Beta levels after your positive result? If your doctor's office doesn't seen concerned, and tells you that it is just a delay, then trust them.

Let us know what happens with your appointment.

Good luck,
Kathi

Thanks Kathi. It was a slow start. Beta levels were 25 to 54 to 1130 and then off... hence the slow start. My progesterone levels are right where they should be and HCG is in the low end of the range. The Dr. said we'll see on Friday...the nurse who called me with my blood work was less optimistic. Thanks for the good wishes. Take care, Kim
