Thanks Rachel and Gill

Gill - great that you are back reunited with your lap top! It must have been so frustrating to read all the stuff and not be able to post. I am jigging as I type for you. Hope that AF comes very soon. Know that the tests are frustrating and expensive but hope that they will help provide some answers. Don't think that dh and I can have a holiday this year. Just a tmt holiday to Harley Street! Told people at my clinet that I was on holiday this week and they are all asking where I am off too! It is the most expensive holiday that dh and I have ever had!

Rachel - Thanks for being such a great support. Hope that AF is not too rough for you and that she will soon be on her way. Are you weighing in today? Hope that it is a good week and that you have managed to drop even more lbs.

Jen1d - where are you? We are worried about you. Hugs. Have mailed you but concerned that is not working or are you just ignoring me & hoping that I wil go away!!!??

Jackie - Thinking of you every day and hoping that it is getting a little easier each day for you

Shantala - hope that you are doing ok with the down regging and it is not making you feel too headachy. Let us know how you are doing. Did you tell your Mum how fab we thought her post was?

Aunty - how is your house coming along? You must be busy as you have been rather quiet of late

Becky - hoping that Wales is coping now that you have arrived! Ha Ha Hope that you are having a great time

Hugs to everyone else.

Well had bloods first thing and trying to pass time until they call me. First time that I have started to stress and keep looking at my phone. Expecting call in next hour or so to see what I do next. Pretty sure that they will want me back for another blood test and may be another scan. At least my acu place is like 5 minutes around the corner from the clinic. Having acu at 2.40pm.

Will keep you posted as the saga unfolds.

Love to you all.
Carolyn

Hi Ladies,

Sorry i've been MIA, I am trying to keep up with all the posts. I am trying to sort out my parents flat for them at the mo as they live in spain and the tenants have just left. got to get it decorated and then re let, my sister is supposed to be helping, but she's more of a hindrance to be honest, and she's off work on long term sick at the moment. DH is going crazy about it all, good job i'm not in treatment.

shantala, i read your mums post at work and was nearly blubbing, what a sweetheart she is.

Carolyn, hang in there it's nearly time. Youv'e done great so far.

Jen, stay with us all, i know its hard but we all know the pain you are going through.

Rachael, so glad you have got your week off with DH, and you finally got your new car, Are you impressed with it?

Becky, i know i missed you but hope your having a great time on your hols.

To everyone else i'm sorry i missed you but my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Will try to post more later.

Hi girls

Just feel confused and worried. Scared to use a 'you know what' from Big B now its coming close but know its my only option. I'm definately grieving for my own eggs and maybe dh is right, we have probably taking this route to fast without counselling. After my last bfn i just wanted something to focus on and as i'm not getting any younger, i wanted to crack on and get things moving. I suppose i'm just scared that if we manage to have a child, its the 'how much of me is there', that will be the hard bit to deal with. I'm not bothered about the bonding bit, as i've said before, i have looked after lots of kids and could easily have taken a few home for keeps. Just have to look at my ex-key child to see that.

I called about counselling yesterday and we can get an appointment on the 10th Aug thats no bl**dy good, it will be over by then. They are putting me on the cancellation list---told her that was done 6 weeks ago and still nobody has called. I explained our situation and they recommended i call Thursday morning and talk to the caounsellor personally, she might squeeze us in---doubt that. Shouldnt be surprised really, the NHS wont fork out any money for ivf and they desperately need more counsellors but they dont care.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for being there and sorry its all about me today but i AM thinking of you all.

Carolyn - I have sent you 2 emails but they are on 'delay' dont know why, its so frustrating. Your the best for keeping my pecker up, thanks babe. Glad everything is going ok with you, hang in there, it will all be worth it. When you back to work, can email you there?

Gill - Thanks for your email hun, your so kind to think of me. Hope your ok, hows the planning going for your next step?

Speak soon

Love Jen x

Jayne - hope that your sister steps up to the plate to help you sort out the flat. Why is it everything falls on us when we have lots to deal with already!??

Jen1d - I hope that you are feeling a little more optimistic today. Hope that they can sort out an appointment for you. Sounds like talking would do you go. I am with Rachel. It is going to be your baby. But you need to come to terms with that rather than hearing it from all of us! Big hugs hun

Gill - so glad that AF is here and now you can really get started. Congratulations on being on your way. Hope that you are ok with the patches and they don't have any strange side effects. Becky can update the list when she is back from hols. What tests are they going to run? (Sorry if you said already)

Rachel - sorry that you are feeling sick and have a migraine. At least it got you a day off work  Hope that you have managed to get some sleep and now feel better. Will you go to work tomorrow?

Becky - come back from your hols. We miss you

Shantala - hope that down regging is going ok and the evil headaches have not kicked in for you.

Aunty P - we miss you too. Look forward to reading news about your new house soon

Hugs to everyone else.

Well days all merging together for me. Progesterone dropped on yesterday afternoon's reading so they were less concerned about me ovulating naturally. I am on cetrotide injection in the mornings as well as the nasal spray to stop that happening. Scan today showed that the follies are a good size. Biggest 19mm. I would say about 8 per side. Which I am thrilled about. But now they are concerned that my oestrogen has rocketed. 26,000. They are worried it is so high that if they do retrieval then I might get OHSS. OMG - this is such a balancing act. I just want to do the trigger shot & get to EC. I am so knackered. 13 days of getting up to go to the clinic at 7am ish. Now 5 days of two blood tests and a scan every single day. I am happy with the monitoring but it is taking it's toll. Blood place is really struggling to find places to take blood as my arms are black and blue. Tummy looks like a war zone too.

Thankfully not working this week. Not sure it would be possible to hold down a job and go to the clinic at least twice every day.

All they have suggested is that I try to up my water from 3 litres a day to 4/5 litres. I'll never leave the loo now!!!!

Awaiting the call to see whether trigger is this evening or whether I have the joy of double bloods and a scan again tomorrow and have to coast for another day.

Please please please let them be able to get a good number of follies from me after all this effort!!!!

I will keep you posted.
Lots of Love
Carolyn

Hi Girls

Carolyn-Your follies sound great!! :D Im so excited for you. I can imagine that you are knackered it sounds like you have been in the wars, but just think its not long now, hang in there hunny  Its a good job you are not working you need to look after yourself.I hope you got the call for the trigger tonight. :D
I will be having a doppler scan and a hysteroscopy when we go back on the 26th, so I cant say Im looking forward to this next trip :?

Jen- It took me a while to get my head round the whole ed thing :? but if its the only way then so be it, we have been approved for adoption now for the past 2 years for two children up to 3 years of age but we havent had any success there yet either up till now, thats why we decided to try the ivf again.I am desperate for this to work because, I want to be pregnant, to feel what its like, to feel that I am normal and most of all to give birth to my baby, and it would be, my egg or not. The whole thing is just so unfair :( , but I think we will make the most of which ever one works for us.

Rachel- I hope the migraine has gone and you are feeling better tonight :D , I dont suppose af helps much on top of a migraine!

Hope everybody else is ok, where are you :?: Its so quiet here at the moment.

Well as you can see from my ticker we have an appointment in Barcelona on the 26th for the doppler and hysteroscopy, I started the patches today, so far so good. We have booked flights and hotel so we are all set, cant say Im looking forward to this next trip but if it gets us a bfp then bring it on!!

Take care everone

Angie - Thank you for popping in to see how us 'old' timers are doing. I posted on your herbs thread and have been watching the replies. You should come and hang out here with us.

Gill - thanks for cheering me on. I had a hysteroscopy this time. I was sedated and knew nothing about it. A bit of spotting afterwards and a bit of AF cramp but not too bad at all. It cleans us up and also means that they will know exactly where to pop them back in when the time comes as they take all sorts of measurements. I am with you. You carry the little one. You nurture it. You deliver it. = YOUR BABY. I am now in the camp of whatever it takes......Sounds like you are really organised for your trip - bring it on.

Becky - really quite without you around! Hope weather in Wales is better than here - was hoping to sit in the garden but like Autumn rather than summer

Rachel - hope that you are feeling better today. Have you gone to work or are you still off?

Jen1d - we will not allow you to run away and leave us. Come back. That is an order!!!!

Hugs to everyone else. Well they let me trigger. Did not get call til 6.30pm. Was out to meet a mate here from the US (special treat as have not been out for weeks) when I took the call. Was cheering. How mad is that! Just could not face the thought of another day of two bloods and scan and trips back and forth to the clinic. So shot up in the loo at the restaurant at 9.15pm. We need to be at clinic for 7am tomorrow. No shots today. Yippeee!!!! Plus a lie in. Woke at 6.30am obviously but could turn over and doze rather than reaching for the nasal spray.

Please let me get a good crop of eggs tomorrow. Off to update my ticker.

Love to you all.

Hi ladies,

Carolyn, congratulations, no morre being a pin cushion! hope you had a well deserved lie in and feel refreshed. good luck tomorrow, is DH going with you?

Jend, glad your feeling a little better, i can understand you feel you've jumped into yhis as we all feel helpless when we have to wait for what is so easy for most people. Hope you get to speak to the councillor even if its just by phone i am sure it will make you feel much better. I am sure the nerves are very normal as the time gets close. I admire you for what you are doing as if we do not succeed with our own its the end of the road for us, as DH will not entertain doner of any sort. And we will not adopt, maybe thats selfish on our parts, but thats our comfort zone.

Rachael, hope your feeling better, don't return to work too soon! I am doing well on the diet lost 6lb's in 10 days. will have a little cheat at the weekend as all in laws coming sunday for bbq/lunch (depending on weather)for FIL's birthday. hope your enjoying your new car. My parents are in Benidorm, DH and i went out for 5 days in December, not really our cup of tea but did like the surrounding area. my neice is out there at the mo for 4 weeeks.

Gill, your on your way, glad youv'e managed to get everything booked and ready to go. you must be getting excited.

Well i'm having a very lazy day off, keeps raining so the gardening i had planned has been cancelled. Sis has gone to stay with friends until Tuesday, but promised me the jobs she is in charge of will be sorted this week!!! I am at the accupuncturist at 2.30 for my first consult, DH follows me at 3.30 for his back, then we will go for a nice long walk on the beach. come rain or shine.

better go do some housework.
take care ladies
