Hi Ladies - My DH and I went for our ultrasound yesterday. We have one baby and we even saw the heart beating. We saw this little flluttering, it was amazing!!!! It amazes me how something so small (probably the size of a kidney bean) could have a heart that is beating :D Talk about the miracle of life!!!!

I think I was the first to have the ultrasound, so I can't wait to hear everyone elses stories.

Hope everyone is well!!

BTW - my due date is March 3, 2008.

That's so exciting Klor!!!! You need to join the March 08 Babies group in the Pregnant After Treatment category.

My first ultrasound isn't until the 23. That's going to seem like forever!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

good morning ladies! well im back from my u/s and hubby is off to work so i thought i would come by and share my news, first and foremost
klor thats so exciting congrats!!! i pray we can see our lil hartbeat next week!! thats great!
ok so we went in for our first u/s and it was kinda hard to see i was expecting it to be a lil bigger but he told me ok now before i show you anything just know all we are looking for today is a sac and if poss a yolk sac nothing else cause the yolk sac is what the baby develops from, so we started. and there it was my small little sac, he then stays on that spot for a lil while and he says you see that small grayish circle on the inside of the dark circle?....yes.....well thats a yolk sac so dh and i got to see not only our lil sac but the lil yolk sac too! and out of the 3 lil embies they tranrsfered, 1 stuck and made itself comfy....so im finally calm again, after seeing that i decided no more research and no more readin i just dont want the stress. as of today they are going to stop blood work for a lil while and just rely on the u/s i was also told that i wil be seen every wednesday until he releases me to my ob in 7 to 8 wks until he's comfortable with letting me go. he will be seeing me for an ultrasound which if i bring in a tape he will tape all u/s's from here on out for me, so on the days dh cant make it due to work he will be able to see it when he gets home!! so for now all is well and all is normal and i go back next wed for 6wk u/s. so just wanted to give you ladies and upate.. everybody have a great day!

Hello!

Klor - how wonderful! So happy that things are coming along for you just as they should. Just like Brandi, I can't wait for next week to see the little heartbeat.

Brandi - good news about your u/s! I understand about your fears that nothing would show up on the screen.

I had my first u/s this morning as well. We saw our little babie's sack and it was just thrilling. It was wonderful to see some physical evidence. My due date will be in March as well. I don't know the exact date yet, I think I will get that this afternoon.

Have a great u/s Tajma!!!

All the best,

Hi ladies, and congrats on all the u/s scans, my seems like an eternity away. My clinic don't transfer until 5 weeks after transfer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus they dont' do blood work, so feel completely in the dark and thoroughly worried and nervous for some reason.
We've told our boys and they are delighted, this is why I'm so nervous I think. Just can't relax at all.....
We haven't told anybody else not even our parents, we're simply leaving it our boys to tell everyone.
Why I am so nervous, do I deep down, know that something is wrong or is it all in my head?????
I think I'm losing my mind and I desperately need to find it......

Goodluck everyone

Yeah to all the ladies that have had their us!!! I go on Monday for our first one. I am very nervous... yesterday I had some pretty intense shooting pains in my LL quadrant and today I haven't had my "usual" bout of trips to the potty. I dont know whether or not I will call my clinic. I think I might give it another hour to see if I have any more trips to the potty. I am really nervous that the baby has stopped developing.

Jodi, I think we all feel that way until the first ultrasound. I still have no pregnancy symptoms, so of course I'm questioning everything too! I think we'll both be at ease once we see that something is really growing in there! Good luck on Monday!

Hey dixiegal - glad to hear we have the same due date!!! It's so nice to have other woman to relate to and discuss all the concerns and happy occassions with. Let me know how the u/s goes on Friday, I will be thinking of you.

A great website that keeps you up to date with the changes your body is going through is www.babycenter.com. You can put in your due date and they send you weekly updates on the approximate size of your little one (or little ones). It also helps explain some of the things your body is going through.

Hope everyone is feeling well :D

Dixiegal - when the time comes, will you find out if you are having a boy or girl? My DH and I went through PGD with this cycle of IVF in an effort to select the best embryo to transfer. With all of the genetic testing they perform, they are able to tell us the sex of the best embryo. Turns out, we are having a boy!! It is so weird to know this early on that it is going to be a boy!!!
