hi girls... we just got back from Gavin's 1month check.... he's doing well 11lbs 1oz and 22 1/2inches... he got a shot, but was not too bad... cried for a second or two, then was ok..... everything checked out ok.. and got the ok to take him in the pool... i need my ok from OB on tuesday, then we are going to go swimming... i can not wait iit has been hot, and i can not swim..... i'm going to try a bottle(of breastmilk) this week to see if he'll take it... so maybe DH or DSs can take a feed once a week or so... DS really wants to help... doc also said he's a little tongue tied... but not that bad, and we'll have to watch it, so it does not effect his speech later on..... he's got the heart shaped tongue, with the attachment at the tip...
rachael- i feel for you and the colic... our last was that was till close to 5 months... hope that makayla's will not last long... does the car ride work?? that was a way i could get a few minutes of quite.. it was only a few minutes, but you need that to recharge.. do try and get a few moments to recharge yourself... i used to step outside and take a few deep breaths... you'll be in our prayers...
casy- glad that you are doing good.... too bad about the hand foot mouth... we had that a little while back... kids seem to always be catching something...
kim- hope that your pumping is going well... soon your supply will pick up!! good luck on getting your house back... maybe when your milk is more it will be easier, beacuse you will not have to supplement in addition to BFing...
nance- she's so cute... congrats again... and congrats on the 5 hours.... i was thrilled to get 4 just the other night!! what a difference a few hours of sleep can do...
well hope that everyone is well and taking good care of thier babies and or bellies
colleen
Well I finally have a few minutes today to check in - little Aubrey has been a little fussy pants today. She's not hungry, she has a clean diaper and she's burping so I'm not sure what is wrong.... and it seems like the only way she'll fall asleep is if she's sleeping on my chest, which is ok at times, but I don't want her to get used to it. Any ideas girls???
Racheal- sorry to hear Makayla is colic... I hope the new medicine helps and you get some rest soon. Do you have anyone that can come over to give you a break at all?
Nicola- sorry about your scare... I hope your doing well and resting. Your little one will be here soon enough.
Nance- Lily is so cute... I bet you just want to eat her up everytime you look at her.
Kim- I was so excited to hear you had poop yesterday, but sad again today to hear it was gone. Hopefully he'll get more regular... Also it must have felt so good to get out of the house today - I remember my first outing without Aubrey... it felt great, but yet I couldn't wait to get back home. Also I give you props for being so talented.... pumping & typing at the same time!
Casy- sorry to hear about the hand, mouth & foot issue now... just when you get over one thing another one occurs. Hopefully DD doesn't get it... keep us posted.
Colleen- wow Gavin is really growing... what a little chunker you have! So is it ok to take baby's swimming? I thought you had to wait at least until they were older... that's why I never asked my pediatrician - but now I want to call him and see if it's ok - just because it has been so hot out lately and it's only going to get worse....
Well sorry if I missed anyone... my little fussy pants is now up again so it's time for me to go. No Mama time today....
Tasha--Have you tried a swing or a vibrating bouncy seat? Braeden has been a bit more fussy lately and those two things seem to help him. I hope something will help Aubrey settle!
I wish I had more time to write...but I've got to hop in the shower. DH is taking me out to dinner tonight--I don't really want to go, as it's a pain to leave, and I want to be around the babies. BUT, I know he's right for making me go. My SIL and MIL are coming over to sit for a couple hours.
Kim- thanks for the advice, but I've tried both... Aubrey actually doesn't like her bouncy chair, but she loves her swing (just not yesterday). However, we went to my little cousins baseball game last night and she was fine - maybe she just needed to get out of the house. Plus since she got fresh air last night and didn't sleep all day.... she ended up sleeping from Midnight - 8:00am (8 hours.... how wonderful is that). Much needed actually....
Well she's napping right now.... what a little angel she has been today!
Tasha
PS- Kim have fun tonight at dinner - DH & I actually do date night once a month just to keep the sparks going.
Hi all. Thought i would check in to see how you are doing. Sorry to hear some of the little ones are suffering from colic, it is awful to see little ones in pain but gripe water used to work well when i was in the nursery. has anyone tried baby massage? This is something that i want to get into our bathtime/ bedtime routine and was wondering when you can start it.
As for me i am very hot and would be happy if Isabella would turn and come this week. It is difficult to sleep and all i want to do is sit down i have no energy. BUT i guess you all know how that feels.
I am hoping Angellica is ok and if she is still in hospital. We are both at nearly 37 weeks so not long now.
Take care to you all and babies and bumps

Just a quick hello - Aubrey just went down.... nothing much new with us - just enjoying the weather (minus the rain) and planning Aubrey's Christening.... we're all booked for Sept. 16th! Now it's time to plan the party... good times.
Nicola- you must be so excited that you have your section date... it will be here before you know it. Can't wait to hear all about your little one and see pictures!
As for the rest of you... I hope your all doing good and taking care of your baby's & bellies!
Just wanted to say hello. Nic glad you have your date and are getting closer. How come you are having a caesarian? Has it been planned from the begining?
I had my midwife classes yesterday and am a little down, because i can still feel a head at the top of my bump it looks very likely that i will need a caesarian to, i am really disapointed because i really don't want one here. The main reason is that they class it as major surgery and DP will not be allowed to be with me in delivery room and so we will not get to look at our longed for daughter together for the first time. I have an appointment with my midwife next tuesday and my Doc the next week when i will be 39 weeks i am praying that she will turn. I have been doing my excersies but have to admit by the afternoons i veg out because of the heat, MIL has tried reiki to move her, my main job today is to try and find my stereo so i can play her music on my lower tummy she seems to like music and wiggle lots. I know i should be happy that she is healthy and i am but i feel like i am letting us all down if we can't share our first family moment together. So i need lots of positive vibes sent my way that i can have a normal vaginal birth.
Sorry this post is all about me.
Hope everyone else is well

Good Morning Ellie... I'm sending you tons of positive vibes and my fingers are croosed that your little ones moves before next week. I'll also be playing music here for you in hopes that it helps...
Hi Guys,
Glad to see that your all still posting even when your time is taken up with the little ones.
Nicola- Glad you have got your date for the section. Getting so close you must be excited.
Ellie- Thinking of you and sending your babes lots of vibes to get turning.Keep doing those exercises and hope the music works. Have they offered you a manual turn? I know here that some consultants will try and turn the baby for you. Keep positive.
Tasha- Have fun planning Aubrey's Christening. Will be a real celebration.
All is well with me. Had hospital appointment today and saw nice doctor. All is well with this baby at the moment, but as DD
growth tailed off at the end they are going to do a growth scan at 38 weeks and take it from there. If all ok then hopefully I won't have to be induced but we'll wait and see. At least they are monitoring me but also listening to my views.
Suddenly starting to realise that we are going to have another baby! Weird but kind of not really believed it til last week or so. I think bringing all those things down from the loft and washing things and starting to pack my bag is hitting home.
Take care everyone

Ellie - I am praying you little one turns. I understand your apprehecnsion about the C-Section. If you remeber, I was scared of mine and I had already had two. Also, to help ease your mind a little, my first C-Section was an emergency and I was gassed to put me out right away. No one was there and I knew very little. About two hours later, I woke up in recovery and no one could tell me when I could see my baby or if my baby was even okay (it was about 2:00 am and I was a single mom). Once they wheeled me into my room, I finally got to meet my son. I had no idea it was even a boy. He nursed immediately and I fell head over heels for the cheeky boy. It may be hard, but the delay does not hurt your relationship with you little one. It takes a lifetime to form the relationship, not just a second. Also, if they do not gas you, they will likely show her to you and then she will head to the nursery where DH can see her. I hope you will not have to do the surgery, but if you do, be patient, they are looking out for your best interests. Good luck, not long now!
Nancy - I am glad Lily is keeping you busy. I hope you are getting plenty of sleep!
Tasha - Good to see you are also hanging around. How is your little one. Getting big, I see. I hope her Christening goes well. At least you get to plan a party in her honor already.
Nicola - I am glad you have your official date. Just keep in mind, I did too and Makayla did not like the date we chose. It is really exciting doing he final countdown. Make sure you have everything packed and somewhere DH can see it in case there is a rush (we forgot ours because it was in a closet and DH had to come back later and get everything).
Colleen - I am glad you are able to enjoy the pool! I have to wait until 12 weeks have passed because of the C-Section and the fact that we do not have a pool. Gavin will grow to enjoy the dip. Right now Makayla loves taking showers! She seems to like the sounds of our rain shower.
Kim - I know you are busy with you twins, but I hope you are still doing well.
As for us, Makayla is still colicy and the DR said he wants to try using sugar water and changing from a demand feeding schedule to a strict three hour minimum schedule. Makayla hates this and spends about one hour of every three hours crying as if we were starving her. However, her spit-ups are getting less frequent now and the water is good when she is really desperate. As for her growth, she is now 8 lbs 11 oz. She is also 21.5" long. She is getting really cheeky. I will post some pictures shortly. Well, I have to go because my boys are getting too roudy. Have fun everyone!
I've been checking in on you all periodically, but I'm SOO busy, it's hard to find time to post.
Glad to hear you are all doing well! It looks like we'll have a couple more babies here very soon.
Ellie--no worries about the section, dear. It wasn't bad at all. I'm sorry to hear that they won't allow dh in the room, but like racheal said...it will be okay.
The twins are well. We're just trying to work out a feeding system that I can do independently. I still have to have daily helpers, which is good, but a pain at the same time. I'm now breastfeeding one baby and bottle feeding the other, and then alternating the "assigned nipple" at the next feeding. It seems to be working, but I can't manage to hold the flippin bottle in the other babies mouth while I"m breastfeeding one. Ugh! I know I'll get it in time....Racheal, we're still on the 3 hour schedule. It IS A PAIN, as my babies aren't always hungry every three hours. But, it does seem to be keeping them healthy. Oh well, right?
I think of you all often...I am sending hugs your way!
Thank you for your positive vibes, little miss is going to be like me i think and now she has a comfy position she is staying there. But she might surprise me. I had no luck in finding my headphones so i have to have my music on loud which bugs DP(boring fart)!
Thanks for the advice on the c section. Rachel you have helped me to put it more in perspective and i guess what will be will be.
Casey glad to hear yuo are being monitored closely. I think there are now 4 of us waiting for our little ones to join us. Who knows by the end of July they might all be here how exciting. I am hoping all is well with Angellica and that she hasn't had to difficult a time.
Jeck any news yet on dates for Jordan to come home, it must be so close and exciting for you both now. 1 year olds are so much fun
I think i will invite my friends 5 year old over today, i have so many tomatoes to pick in the garden and she loves them especially the little cherry ones. She has been waiting for them to ripen so that should please her. We have the house to ourselves for the week because MIL and BIL are away in England for a week, it is so peaceful and we are enjoying our last few days of peace and privacy together. However DP is a little worried and is constantly asking if i am ok bless him.
I love hearing about everyones babies they are growing so quickly.
Take care
