Hi everyone.
This 2ww is driving me crazy. The first 6 or 7 days I really felt that there was something going on. I had cramping and really sore (.)(.). Now, I feel normal although I have got 3 spots on my face which I havent had for 20 years! I am trying to stay up beat and just wait it out but I am starting to get stressed about what if I feel normal because I'm now not pregnant.
We are having a reallly big party on test day (28th July) so I have plenty to do to keep myself busy. I think I might test the day before so I dont have the trauma of deling with the result the same day of our Renewal of Vows thing.

Kim31: Thanks for your baby dust! I am not eating anything in particular although if it's not tied down there is a danger of anything going down my throat! I think the progesterone makes me really hungry and really windy (sorry TMI)! I have read about drinking pineapple juice but havent tried it only because when I was pregnant with my son I was told to eat pineapple in the final days to soften my cervix so I kind of feel we are 9 months too early for that!?

Anie and LisaPA: I think it must be really hard for DH through this whole process. We are in the middle of everything, injecting, sniffing, having procedures and they (generally) know they just give a sample and that's their contribution. My DH also has low count and low motility. We had to have ICSI and he was quietly very upset when only 2 of 6 mature eggs fertilised. I agree that sometimes they must feel their "manhood" is being questioned. You are both lucky you have the great support of your mother in law.

Croella: I am so excited for you? When is your transfer? How many little embies will you have transferred? How are you feeling?

LisaPA: I had quite a lot of tenderness in my whole lower abdomen esp on the left side (which it turned out had almost double the number of follicles). I think if it gets serious you should chat to the doc but otherwise it shows you are growing lots of big follies with big healthy eggs inside!

ICSI girl: I have taken a career break so I could just relax, get healthy and hopefully have another baby. It has been great not to have the stress of work but not working also brings some probs too. I think you are right taking some time off. The first 3 days post transfer, I basically slept because I was so tired all the time. I do know that many women just have a day or two off, head back to work and get their BFP! How is the 2 hour commute back and forward to the docs going?

Jules: Good luck starting your stims on the 28th! The only advice I read which seemed to make sense was to eat a high protein diet and drink as much water and milk as you can! I know what you mean about the support of the girls here. It is so therapeutic just to feel a) that you are not alone and b) that no one will ever ask you to talk about something else!!!!

Oh, one more sympton of this 2ww. I cant sleep! It is 4:37am here and I am wide awake!

Have a great day everyone. I'll update the list today so let me know your latest info. Any new girls who are reading and want to dive in, just send me your info and I'll add you too!

good luck to all and ? about endometriomas

Post by twc »

I haven't posted much but have been keeping up with everyone's cycle. I want to wish everyone good luck and lots of baby dust to you all. Just had my first ER yesterday and am waiting for the call from the lab to give me fertilization results. They retrieved 7 eggs. Hopefully will have good news that all fertilized. The toughest thing about this whole process is the waiting game but being able to read your posts and see that i'm not alone in all this helps so much. You all are truly strong ladies with huge hearts :) Was also wondering if anyone has had an endometrioma during their ivf process? Had to drain cyst from rt ovary during ER yesterday.

Good Luck ladies!

Hey Girls,
I am doing FET, my tenative transfer is Aug 10th, i have been on lupron since July 2nd and on the 25th i am starting my estrogen patches. I have done IVF ICSI in May and got a negative, so we will see what FET will bring me. My embies were not good quality and I had a severe OHSS the first time. Now, i am worried that frozen embies won't thaw out properly or won't divide ( they were frozen on the day of the retrieval)

Dear Lady’s,

I am so sorry for not responding sooner but I think I had a good reason for it. First of all
Tracey: thank you so much for your kind words; I hope that your 2ww are not too bad. Did you cheat yet with a home pregnancy test??? Are you planning to??

Kim31: I haven’t herd of pineapple; what does it do?? I might try since I love it…Hope you are doing well…

LisaPa: Hang in there girl, I know it’s rough. I was on 600IU of Follistim a day (300am and 300pm) and 20 IU of Lupron am and pm…towards the end my tummy looks grotesque.

Well, I had embryo transfer on Saturday. Everything went well; we have 4 little once pout back (2 x 5cell and 2x 6cell). The 2 remaining once are still in a care of our embryologist and if they survive today and continue growing nicely he will freeze them tomorrow. I’ve been a good girl and lying in bed Saturday and Sunday all day. Today I decided to combine laying down a caching up with reading about you guys. I have neither pain nor discomfort. The only unusual thing was a big Saturday night barf (last time I barfed was over 10 years ago)…My hubby jokes that baby’s didn’t agree with a broccoli soup I ate that evening; I think it has something to do with a progesterone shot (it happened 15 minutes after shot)…

So, my Lady’s: every advice is welcome!!!!! I am officially on a 2ww

LisaPa: YOU GO GIRL, YOU GO GIRL, YOU GO GIRL :D  :!:

that IS great news!!!! oh i'm just so happy for you......things are moving right along --- in exactly the fashion they are supposed to be!! keep up your PMA --- is a HUGE part of this whole process.......gosh - just so excited for you - don't even know what to say!!!!!!! (except that i'm very jealous right this moment!! ha, ha)

GROW FOLLIES GROW  :D

question for you --- what has your re/nurse said about sex (and having it or not) right around this time??? mine suggested to HAVE it on day/night of trigger (saying is important the little swimmers are "fresh" and longer than 3-5 days aren't very good --- WHO KNEW???!!!).......although - may not make a difference in your case --- is your dh providing "fresh" sample??? can never remember who's doing what!!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm very excited to be part of this thread!!
