Hey ladies--

Amy: congrats on the transfer... things have been hopping around here, so I hope we are keeping you entertained in between episodes of Flight of the Conchords (btw... what the hell is that?). If you get bored, you can always try the survey of judge shows on tv... you know, judge judy, etc. They will either put you to sleep or piss you off-- either way it passes the time  . And I am thinking your dh's brothers and my dh's brothers would be the playdate from hell. My bil would teach them Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Identity Theft But Were Too Lazy To Learn Yourself. And your bil's could teach him Chop Shop 101. I would definately have to park my car in the garage from then on...

Vicky: ok.... so that nasty AF b*tch had better show her ugly a&& face soon or we will sic the AG on her (just doing tell AF that the AG is laid up in bed watching Conchords fly  )

Mel: Grrrllllll. What the f'ing hell are you talking about... ugly hag. In my not to be humble opinion, you are one hot chick. Bravo on bellini learning the whole scrathing-to-be-let-out trick. That should make life in the Mel household a bit easier! And I do hope the PT guy rubs you harder (talk about Bom-chica-bom-bom!! ). As for Ireland... I was there but it was years ago. I studied in London during college and spent a few weeks with a family up in Northern Ireland (man was than an experience....this is when the IRA was going full steam. I had never seen so many machine guns!). On my way up to Belfast, I did some very brief traveling through Ireland. I would love to go back for more! When are you planning on going??

Robbo: Oh, I forgot to guess as to what you look like--- I picture you with reddish-brown hair. Wavy and on the short side (between your shoulders and ears, and you have pink cheeks. Your neighbor is quite a piece of work! You might try the "smile and nod" technique just to get you through. I am glad to hear it will be over soon.

Angie: proud of you that you are zen despite the chaos around you! Very impressive. We will miss you but will look forward to the update when you return.

Fee: Wow. As you can tell.... I was WAY off in regards to how you look

For the few of you who don't know... I am 5'7'', with long dark hair with just a hint of a wave in it. Brown eyes, light complexion. Robbo... you were very close! The only thing you missed was the length of my hair-- but then maybe you were just picking up on my vibes 'cuz I keep thinking about chopping it off lately

Went to an event last night and ran into "the" girl. You know, the one that reminds you of the head girl in the popular group in high school (at least for those of us that weren't IN the popular group  ). She has never been mean to me, but I always feel really insecure when I am around this woman... just like I am 16 and awkward again. Where I used to live (a few years ago), she kind of had an exclusive click of girls my age at church. I just didn't quite fit in... I have no kids, and I was a doctor. It seems everytime I have run into her over the last few years, I feel frumpy which hasn't helped my insecurity complex.

It didn't start out well--- I was shoving an appetizer meatball into my mouth just as she floated by and said "hi". Yep, not a good start, Sassy. But I was determined to overcome my little insecurity complex I have with her. And I knew she would be there, so I had dressed up all cute (sick, no?). I had a chat with her later in the evening... and I think I have almost done it! I could tell she was just DYING to ask me about kids (can't you just tell sometimes???), but instead just kept asking about where we have vacationed over the last few years. Anyway... the details aren't important... but last night went a long way to me feeling like a peer around her, and not giving into to the idea that she is "all that". Cool. 8)
6 fresh IVFs plus one cancelation
Last Chance FET--- Pregnant with triplets!

Good Morning ladies!

Still in bed. So how long does it take for bedsores to form? I am thinking they aren't far off. DS is sitting here watching Survivorman like a trooper, but not sure how long he will want to just hang out. I did of course have plenty of time to research blast transfers. Most sites state 24-36 hours for implantation. So I am thinking bed til tomorrow around noon. Just to be safe. DS just fell off the bed, he might be losing his chi sooner than I thought. Sass - I am going to send him out to you for the weekend. He loves to swim and is pretty well behaved. He might be a great buffer in the MIL situation. You are the closest and cheapest flight for me. I will post his itinerary. He LOVES Vegas because Dirty Jobs filmed the pig ranch one there and it was quite a good episode. I think that place is considered North LV??

Robbo - I do hear yeah on how the cuteness factor diminishes after a few years of teaching. I taught elementary for 7 years before starting what I do now. I taught a bilingual third grade and spoke Spanish my first year, but then CA banned that so I got a 2/3 combo at another school and then moved to 4 grade for the next few years. I left that when DS was 1 and now work with kids in High School who are on Independent Study. No bulletin boards, or open house, or back to school nights, etc. I make appointments and work from home. I just see them at their homes or preferably local libraries. Most are ones who had to leave high school due to problems or poor grades. It gets a bit old sometimes, but is worth it because I get to be home with DS most of the time.

Angie - Glad to hear from you. Totally understand not wanting your business on their computer. In fact I always have DH take all my stuff off of my work computer before they take it to "tune up" just because I think the tech guys are nosy. Bored and nosy.

Fee - What are you kids doing this weekend? With the new theme for nogs room you should hit an Office Depot sale, or whatever office supply store you aussies have down there. I am shocked by the blond hair! Angie did point out you mentioning roots, but I just overlooked that. Silly me. And I am sure your cheeks and natural blush are beautiful. Disney princesses have natural coloring on their cheeks too. That is why you are the HRH.

Sass - DS will be there soon. Get ready. I will send him with his suit and plenty of sunscreen. He is easily entertained too. Shouldn't be too hard.

As for what I look like... well most of you were pretty close. I am 5'1" and weigh about 100 pounds (when not cycling). I have pretty fair skin, but I tan easily... does that make sense? I recently donated 10 inches of hair to Locks for Love, so now my hair is shoulder length, but before it was a bit too Crystal Gail. It is brown with sunkissed highlights. Sh^% brown. Used to be nice and blond, but the older I get the darker it gets and all that is left are a few light highlights that naturally occur around my face and then I pay for the rest to naturally occur elsewhere. I have green eyes and I would say my smile is anything but dynamic. Pretty average smile.
Hold on chicken problem!

Sassy and I seem to post at about the same time every morning so I totally missed hers until just now. But I did get a call from the embryologists and they were able to freeze 7 more blasts. That was a nice comforting number. So from 28 total it went all the way down to 9 blasts. BUT - as I am a bit competitive, she did say I had the most frozen this cycle. I asked her if I would get a prize and she came back with, "A sibling for your baby..." Oh isn't that cute. However we all know that I would rather have a tangible prize as the chances of actually having a child are slim to none around these parts. I wanted to say, "Lady, this isn't my first barbecue..." But I played along.

As for Flight of the Conchords... it is a new show on HBO and it is HILARIOUS. It is two guys from New Zealand who are in a "band" and their life here in the US. They interject the storyline with songs which are the best part of the whole show. I highly recommend it to everyone. It shouldn't offend as the songs, etc are clean. The part time model song and business time are my current favorites.... please, someone watch so we can chat and laugh together.

Good on yeah Sass for standing up to the Jake Ryan of your world. You are better than her any day of the week. And if she gives you any grief, we will TP her house.

Anyone else out there?? I am still in bed... waiting for any chance at interaction.

I'm at work and we're pretty busy so not long to chat. Just wanted to compliment the Jake Ryan reference! Well done! It's not everyday you can insert a 16 Candles line into conversation. Unless it's "The Donger needs food!"

Just a quickie ladies as DD is due up from her nap any minute now. The Baby Shower for my neighbor is officially OVER :D :D :D She was a pretty big bi$$$ through most of it, but NO MORE!!! She called yesterday and decided she wanted all these games. I just told her one of the other hostesses was in charge of the games. Give me a flippen break....you don't decide to do games the day before the shower. And of course games equals prizes which equals more MONEY!!! So, we did two quick ones. Nothing great.
Then as I was speaking to someone at the shower about teaching and what the kids will remember us by wonderful neighbor came by and had to interject that the kids will remember me as the ***** teacher. I could have shot her. Strict, yes, *****, no. URG!!!
Anyhow, it's over and we will see if we ever speak again.

Okay, this is going to sound a little crazy, but who is Jake Ryan? Does that age me????????

Amy that is super good about 9 blasts!!!!! We will keep our fingrs crossed that there is at least one in there willing to stick it out.

Gotta run

Robbo - First - bring said neighbor a nice salad with some really "fresh" mayo to let her know how much you care. A little bout of food poisoning won't be as easily detected as harder carcinogen causing poisons.

Second - Jake Ryan is the cute boy from Sixteen Candles. Drove the red porsche. My neighbor had a Tiger Beat poster of him... just totally dreamy.

Third - Where is everyone? I am bored. Please don't tell me you are all off having a good time!

Amy- Don't go getting all negative already. Think positive, it won't be long before you know for sure. I know for me, sometimes its easier to be negative, then if things don't work out I am not as disappointed. However, that is something I am really trying to work on. STAY POSITIVE!!!
As as child I was not allowed to watch movies that were rated anything over G. I was 18 before I saw Dirty Dancing. And, I just saw Grease for the first time last summer. May have to rent 16 candles.
I am with you wondering where everyone is. I am sure everyone will return tomorrow.

HRH Fee - I understand the frustration. And in the words of your people "Bugger"... but I am needing some support out here. Had some light pink spotting today. Feeling not so positive. I thought third IVF was supposed to be the charm?

Amy Very sorry to have abandoned you in your time of need....It seems to me that the pink spotting would be about the right time for implantation bleeding...not that I've ever had any, but since you only had ET late last week it would be around the right time for that as opposed to AF (way to early for that!) I'm thinking. I think you've got a little beast burrowing in and causing you some grief. Lord knows I hate pink spotting but it is not always a bad sign...

So what are we up to today, have we asked Dr Google about the pink spotting? Are we on light duties or are we up and about taking the pressure off the bed sores???

Well done on the blast count by the way, that is truly magnificent. I am well jealous. It seems that a lot of embies drop off between day 3 and day 5 but your numbers are still excellent. I only have one little "pod" in the freezer so if Nogs wants a sibling I may have to do a fresh cycle again. Hope not.

Let me know how you are going, I'm going to google pink spotting for you...

OK I've just had a consult with Dr Google and he assures me that you are in the window when implantation bleeding can occur. Kid(s) are causing you trouble already. Bugger. Fee

Ok Busy Angie here - I have SOOOO much on at work it is not funny but coudn't resist a quick scan through of my favourite thread and had to send 2 messages to sista Amy:

1) Fee is right - do not fret about the pink spotting

and

2) I have SEEN Flight of the Conchords LIVE at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival - HILARIOUS! It is so cool that 2 guys from little old NZ have their own show in the US. When I saw them they did some hilarious "gansta folk" rap - "hip hop hip hop hip - potomus" -
and their show isn't even on here. Enjoy them - I will look out for the DV. :D
