Jen1d- How are you today hun? Exausted after counselling last night? Hope all went ok and you feel a lift of emotions soon. It will help that it will soon be ET and your BFP!!!! I checked the meds they should give us at et. there shouls be enough pessaries for 20 days post transfer then we need to get our own meds from somewhere. I am seeing my gp on wed to see if i can get a private prescription ( ie pay over the counter for them ) if not will need to ask IM if they will sell. ( I am Being positive too for that BFP ). Also need to ask if i can get a scan at local large hospital Inverness ass the smaller local maternity hospital doesn't do private scans How stupid is that???? But 45quid is better than i thought ( 100 we estimated) . Hope you get the stupid ticker to work soon, !!!! And most of all Hope your AF is here soon then you can start patches. x x

Gill how are ya hun????? When are your results due??? mine are due 3-4wks but expect the 4 wks or more ( i have past knowledge of hospitals being late with tests.) Which brings us to 31st aug. Arround the time AF is due so hope to start patches then. I see your meds have been chopped and changed for doppler and biopsy...are you now waitngon AF before starting patches agin. If so when is she due???


Beachbaby- i see from Becksters list that you have an appointment today. Is it a clinic one???? good luck with it. Hope to hear some good news about tmt soon x x x

Hi girlies

Well were do i start

Counsellng - It all went fine and Jenb, you will be impressed as there was still no tears. I only got a bit wobbly when she touched on guilt and what if we never have any, told her i cant go there yet. Anyway she had us doing exercises about cognitive therapy and get this, she has given us homework----dh is not impressed-----as if i dont have enough studying, she's now adding to our stress No, she's fine and she's trying to help me to stop the bad feelings about myself as its not MY fault i cant have a baby but to be honest, she can say that for a trillion years, i still feel guilt. We do find it's helping though.

Clinic - After being bullied by Carolyn i am now probably going to have acupuncture in Big B before and after ET. I emailed the lady and she is 10mins away from the clinic and for 2 sessions it costs 150Euros (£102).

Pill/af - Stopped the pill on the 6th and waiting on af to come. We have a dilema though. We have holidays booked from work on the week of the 27th but we think ET might happen the week before so now we are hoping af doesnt come for a few days to delay things as dh will have hassle at work. Wait and see the ***** will arrive early just when we dont want her here

Sorry to everyone i've missed, just trying to get everything sorted at work so can have the rest of the week off. We leave home early Thursday for our appt at clinic, then we travel up to the lakes for a long weekend, back sometime Sunday. So apologies now ladies as we are not taking the laptop, just going to have US time, i will let you know my results as soon as i'm back.

More later gaters. Oh, my acu man just called me. I texted him when I got the -ve. He said that he normally gives people some space and then checks in. What a sweetheart. He is so dam cute. Told him about argc follow up and he agrees that my eggs are no good. Nothing that anyone can do to help me. He just hates that I am right as told him months ago that I would end up in Big B. He agreed that taking the cancel today would have been too soon even for an impatient cow like me! He may see more before I go and then recommended Valerie in Barcelona (Jen - told you babe - you are just ahead of the game!!!!

Six weeks today me and dh will be in sunny Barcelona!

Better get back to work. It is so dull. Only an hour to go........

AS for the weather...it's wild wet and windy up here...yeuk more like autumn than summer. really you daren't


Well as for me it's so bloody cold here today ( and windy, really you daren't go and fly a kite... otherwise you'd be up up up and away........) that i am in the process of making fish pie with sweet potato mash. It's comfort food cause DH and i ain't feeling to well. Having waves of nausea and hot sweats. 1 minute i am doing ok and next i feel yeuky, so fish piewith sweet potato mash has taken ages to prepare. How can you feel hungry and sick at the same time...reminds me of morning sickness . But of course dh is worse than me ( men ). Anyway the only other thing thats going on is AF...yes you've guessed it the ***** has started with me again. (14 days after last bleed) Have mega cramps but like the past bleeds ( every 3-4 days month june-july then every 14 days in lasst month ) don't really know if she will stay. I am meant to take bc pills after next AF so will see it still there tomorrow and then email IM. I have the GP's tomorrow to ask her help to set up a private scan for pre ET. ( some 8 weeks away i hope ) so will see how that goes ...

Hi, just popping in to see my cyber friends are doing and just wanted to check in on Shantala. Thinking of you honey and can't wait to see how many eggies you got.

Having a bit of a break from all this, think it has been harder than I realised. AF arrived Friday although she has gone again so short and sweet!!

Also on a gym challenge - I can't cut down on food, so I have to exercise a little more hence also why I've been mia and off there in a mo.

Had follow appt with clinic today, need to have a few blood tests but that is it really nothing else so a bit disappointed - they suggested I wait until Oct/Nov until I try again and also gives us time to see if we fall again naturally so feel totally out of the loop now.

I will try and do more of a personal post soon but must dash as class starts at 1930 and haven't even changed yet!!!

aaww, you are all so sweet!! thank you so much nimble, JB, carolyn, the beckster, beachbaby, jen1d, aunty (your post made me smile so much), lara and everyone else that was thinking of me!! so sorry for keeping you but the sedative affected me BIG time and i've been asleep most of the afternoon!!!

well......we collected 19 eggs and 10 were mature! so double the amount from last time, which is fantastic!!!! they do think i obviously have an egg maturity problem but they are very pleased regardless. they say the average woman at their clinic gets 6-8 so they're really pleased. and guess what, so am i and so is dh!!!!

also, dh's swimmers were much better (oh, aunty, when dh has finished watering the garden, usually my job but he's doing it tonight, bless!! then i'll show him. he'll love it!). apparently there was only one sperm that was actually swimming last time whereas there were loads this time in the dish!! wow!! so pleased. those tablets (i bought from zita west) to enhance sperm quality must have worked!!!

anyway, will find out tomorrow how many have fertilised. fingers crossed!!

JB - thank you sooo much honey for updating me on the list! you made me laugh with your comment about your dh is worse (arent men always! ) if i have a headache, my dh will have a migraine! your dinner sounds lovely....hope you managed to enjoy it and are feeling better soon.

rachel - sounds like you had a good time on the beach. ouch about the sunburn though! bless you! natural yoghurt is the best for a sunburn!

aunty - you are such a sweetie. your posts really put a smile on my face!!! hugs!!

hi to everyone else!!! trying to keep my mind off things whilst waiting for the call tomorrow. it should be between 9 and 10 so not too long to wait. would love to have some to freeze, really because of money situation. not sure what we would do if we had to try and find the money again for a fresh cycle. anyway, even if we dont get any to freeze, as long as there are 2 that we can pop back later this week, we'll be happy. and if need be, there's always natural IVF, which is cheaper!!

Sorry I havent posted, been feeling a bit and didnt want to spoil a happy forum, I think I have snapped out of it now .
God! where do I start so much has been happening since I posted last

Jackie- Hi hun, Sorry you were disapointed with your follow up appointment, Oct/Nov will be here before you know it and who knows what could happen between now and then, look after yourself you need time to get over it. Well done on the gym , these days it takes most of my energy just getting my arse out of bed! whish I had your motivation.

Jen B- Welcome home! , I am so glad your appointment went well, sorry to hear your biopsy was painful. The hysteroscopy bloody hurt too!! and they took a biopsy while they were there so I can sympathise with you. Im glad that your tmt is going to be straightforward and 8 weeks will be here before you know it! I should get my biopsy results in 10-14 days. I am on the bc pill untill the 15 August and then on 1st day of af I need to start the patches again. The last lot of meds I was on were exactly what I will be taking for the actual tmt they called it a dummy cycle.
Hope you and dh are feeling better and the fish pie did the trick! Good luck with your gp appointment hope they sort your scan out.
