1st IVF in August - Any possible cycle buddies?

Hi gals I didn't expect to be up reall but the doc said stay down yesterday and as much as possible today but I can move around a bit I feel really well the tranfered 2, 8 cell embryos yesterday so I am with Nanny on the 2ww. I can't believe its finally here!

Hi everyone! Glad to hear you're all hanging in there. It seems that the ETs, ERs, and all that have gone well this month, so maybe there's something in the air! This 2WW is still killing me, but today I'm feeling a little more positive. They did the ET a week from today (Aug 6) and I'm going to have a blood test today (yes, another. Ugh!) to measure my progesterone and estradiol levels. My body is so bruised and I have small purple blood clots on my belly from these Lovenox shots I've been getting. I don't know why the word "LOVE" is anywhere near that word! But anyway, trying not to let the fact that I have NO signs get the best of me and have been enjoying all of your stories. BTW, there's a great supplement I ordered on line called Bioendurance that really helped my egg quality and production this time around, as well as 3 of my other friends. It's worth looking into. Hello all!!!

Just wanted to check in with everyone. Glad to hear ERs and ETs are going smoothly for all of you. I'm sure the 2ww is the absolute worst, and through all of this, that's what I am dreading the most. Give me the needles I can handle that but I wish we could know immediately! LOL.

Well, my first baseline U/S went well this morning. Of course I was nervous last night, couldn't sleep, tossed and turned, thinking today I was going to go in there and they were going to say "Mrs. Lewis, I'm sorry but we don't see any follicles at all." But fortunately, my LUCKY # at this stage is 15 follicles. 9 on the left and 6 on the right ovaries. I was amazed and happy!

They are calling later this afternoon with blood test results and I start the Bravelle tonight. The Lupron was becoming such a cinch I am nervous about starting something new...

Hopefully it will be fine.

RMSM, Aliann09, nannybear, and anyone else I forgot in the 2ww stage, Best of Luck and I can't wait to hear about your BFPs!!!! I am crossing my fingers and keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay positive, busy, and don't worry too much about symptoms. As much as I've read, it's different with each person, you can't tell if it's the meds giving you symptoms or not, even if you have any, and some with BFPs seem to have symptoms and other's don't have any and still have BFPs. So relax enjoy stay busy and I'm thrilled for each and every one of you!!

Congrats everyone on all your progress! It does seem like we're all doing very well together on this thread. Let's hope it keeps up through our BFPs!

I had my ER this morning and they got 15 eggs. I was very groggy afterwards and slept most of the day, but now I'm feeling fine and don't feel much of anything. I'm a little sore down there but not even as sore as I've been the past few days with those swollen ovaries. Now I am just dying to know how many eggs fertilized today, but of course we won't know until tomorrow. One of our biggest unknowns in this whole process is my DHs sperm quality, since his de-facto vasectomy was 23 years ago. The embryologist thought his sperm would work, although it is not the highest quality. So we're really anxious to hear how the ICSI went today. If I'm so impatient to know about this after only a few hours I don't know how I'll ever get through that 2ww!

Ceiba, I loved the days between the ER and the ET. I had nothing inside of me to worry about and had a great weekend with my DH in NYC. I'm glad you were able to prodcue so many follicles! I had 11 and 8 fertilized. I felt like a hen! I hope your DH gets good news about his end of it. So far things seem to be going your way, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Let me know how it goes! Hey everyone! Glad to hear all the ER and ET's went so well. So, I started 300 units of Gonal-F Friday and went in today for my first US and BW after stimming....and wow, I have great growth already. On the right, I have 3 size 10, 3 size 9 and 3 size 8. On the left, I have 2 size 9, 2 size 8 and many size 5. In fact, they called me this evening and reduced me to 150 units of Gonal. I guess they don't want me growing too big in the beginning b/c my trigger is not scheduled until this Saturday. Well, I will post again if anything changes.

Did the first Lupron shot today! Woohoo-that was a breeze....i think i was shaking more after cause i was so excited i didnt feel it than i was before i did the shot. : ) Im so excited that it didnt hurt!

Hi ladies, I am up and slowly about trying to take it easy but getting really bored but nice to not be at work, work is stressful sometimes. embryolist called today about our 3 remaining embryos but the did not make it to blast stage so no frozen. Hoping more than ever that this works not sure I can talk DH into another biopsy so this may be an all or nothing shot for us. I am glad to hear everyone is doing so well Meggs good job on the Lupron everything else will go just as smooth. talk later I think I am about due for a nap.

Hi everyone- we have 8 embryos! Out of 15 eggs, 1 was not mature so they fertilized 14 with ICSI. As of this morning 8 had fertilized and were growing- yay!!! I have appts for both Thurs (3 days) and Sat (5 days) for ET, and they will decide Thurs morning whether to transfer that day or wait until Sat, depending on how many embryos are left at that point. It is such an amazing feeling knowing that our possible future babies are out there just waiting for us!!

Aliann, I hope this one takes for you too. I know my DH would not be happy about another biopsy, so I'll be sending lots of baby dust your way for success this time around. And some for everyone else too!

And so glad all is well with all of you so far. Those shots are worse in theory than in fact, aren't they? Even the PIO shots haven't been bad at all the past few days. And it's especially nice that I don't have to do the shots myself anymore!

here's my update.... I started on lupron and gonal-f on Aug. 6. It was a day later than expected b/c AF came late on Aug 4 (a Sat). been taking stim. W/ this new clinic I haven't had to go in as often as the last clinic it seems. Went in on Sat. for ultrasound and blood work. I was told that everything looked good and to go back into for another ultrasound and blood work today. I was a little surprised when the nurse called me and said that I only had one that was big enough to get and that I had 2 smaller ones that probably wouldn't be big enough to retreive. Bottom line is that they won't retrieve in IVF if there is only one. I will continue on the stim. until tomorrow morning when I go in for another ultrasound and blood work. I've had 3 others and this has never been an issue for me. Sure I've had some that were bigger than others, but never told that I would not have the IVF procedure. I am not sure if something went "wrong" or if this clinic (different than where I did the first 3) has different standards. They want me to do an IUI. However ,this was supposed to be w/ ICSI and I feel like I am going backwards. The first 2 ivfs I had I didn't get a lot of eggs, but I was able to get 3 and all 3 fertilized and got transfer. the 3rd one no eggs fertilized. Now, I don't have enough eggs (at least at this time it doesn't look good). Seems to me doing an IUI is kind of a waste since I never did have success w/ them in the past and for one of my ivf's i didn't get any fertilization. i guess I will see what they say tomorrow. But I am about to throw in the towel. It's hard to go through everything and then not even get to the point you need to be and to be going in the opposite direction that you were going before

Good luck to all of you ladies in the 2ww.

I started Follistim and Repronex yesterday. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. No side effects yet, just a little sore at the injection site.

Now I am just awaiting for the next US which is on Thursday. Things are really starting to move quickly. It is hard to believe that next week I will be having the ER. I am getting very excited.

kbat I am sorry to here your status, stay on those hormones I will pray for you tonight I hope you double follies by tomorrow. I would ask why they won't just continie stim for a few more days rather than start over or opt for IUI what are the reasons?

I think I am going to ask those questions. When I was at the other clinic, it seemed like I was on the stims for longer. But this time it's different b/c I didn't take the birth control. don't kow if that has anything to do w/ it.
