hi all

do you think i may have a urine infection?? and if so, i guess that can harm the embies?? i'm going to drink even more today to try and flush it through my system but just worried it's affecting the embies.

drink 100% cranberry juice (no sugar added) if you can tolerate it, but I'd still talk to the doc, quick pee test to see if you have an infection!!! you body doesn't need to concentrate on taking care of 2 important issues....just one!!! EMBIES!!!!

pequele - i'm a bit confused about whats happening about your cycle but only coz ive not done IUI before and therefore doesnt understand how it all works. so, sorry, for my ignorance. but i figure that you're being delayed by another cycle? if i got that right, then so sorry hun. we were delayed over and over again with our first cycle and its such a disappointment. but the time has to be right so i'm sure it will be when you get to do it! hugs!

Sorry Shantala. Missed that the first time! Yup,being delayed I am doing IUI. Just came off birth control so I am out of whack.. think I ovulated on day 21 and 22 of cycle and then AF came day 28...very short luteal phase (when a fertilized egg has to settle in...essentially supposed to be 14 days long!!!) 5 days NOT long enough at all! UGH. I either hopefully missed a day 14 ovulation (though my temps point to that day 21), or my body was just like DUH!!!! Hoping it isn't so retarded this month!!! I am on such a short personal time line because I can change jobs after next June, the longer I wait to o my IUI, the further my due date pushes into 2008...and hence the longer I'd have to stay in my current job from HELL! I gave myself 3 tries this year by October...now I am down to 2 unless I beat myself up and try in Novemeber too (if need be of course!) but we shall see when the time comes. If it doesn't happen by then, I will wait to go at it again after next June once I am settled in a new job....but I don't wanna wait!!! NOW NOW NOW!!!

Pequele: If u think ur confused about peeing on ur stick - then im completely lost lol. I haven’t the foggiest what ur on about I do try and keep up and learn as i go along, but its so complicated - i really feel for u, no wonder ur confused lol. Wots CD28 mean???? Duh blonde moment!! xx



As for me ladies, well still NO AF – but I’ve accepted the fact that I have to wait until nxt mth again. She was meant to be here on 7th Aug, then EC would have been on 27th Sept (week before the wedding, as it goes I thought I would have been on by the 11th at the latest and so the clinic pencilled me in for EC on 1st Oct - See it works out like this:


Seeeeeeee - so deff decided to cancel now – unless she arrives on 18th – which will mean EC on 8th Oct (bypass wedding and hangover lol) cant see her holding out much longer tho – not now that I want her to!!!!! Always the same – still – as I say every mth – gives me more time to loose weight (ha bloody ha!)
Well that’s me ladies, bluff pile really needs to be done now lol – will catch u all later – will try and do list as I go along today ok – bear with me …..

Beck- CD refers to my cycle day... I am doing IUI with no meds (I hope) so I need to pee on a stick to determine when I get the hormone surge that makes you ovulate...I practiced last month (my first one off birth control). I found my surge on CD21 and 22...which means I should ovulate about 12-36 hrs after that...that means I should have ovulated on CD 23...which is late yes but not the end of the world. When I get my surge and ovulate is when they do my IUI treatment...turkey baster with the swimmers inserted into my uterus and set free (didn't do that this cycle though thankfully)!!! SO I should have had the 14 day wait til AF arrived (that is the luteal phase) meaning my cycle would be 35 days long...but nope the biotch showed up on day 28!!! That means if i HAD done a treatment and the egg fertilized, my body didn't even let the embie have a chance to settle in and stick!! SUCKS, but good thing I didn't try this month! Now if my body doesn't adjust the 2nd month off birth control and make the luteal phase the neccessary 14 days, I'm screwed!!! Means my body can't sustain a fertilized egg...well at least it may still be out of whack or my body doesn't produce enough progesterone...who knows! BUT I'm telling myself I am normal and I need to get this sh!t in gear Did that help...or confuse ya more?

So what's goin gon with you? Why no AF?? Do they give you any reasons? Here you are WANTING AF and here I am NOT wanting it!! GAWD the world works in strange ways

hahah Gill...here I thought MY treatment was EASY haha. you guys go through this shot and that, then US and more shots and pills and more US and ET, EF, and EC and then stimmies and then puttin em back and then more shots and sleeping (oooo I like that!) and more pills etc....head spinnnnnnnning!!! Everyone does something differnt!!! here I only have to pee on a stick, figure out when I ovulate from that, go in, get a turkey baster then wait 2 weeks.....no drugs, just sticks to pee on like a HPT. haha...that is of course if my cycle would return to normal...whatEVER that is haha. Squeezy's treatment for her IUI has a little more to it than mine, but she only gets US to see her eggs growing to know when to give a shot that triggers her ovulation...still easier than you guys I think hahaha

Jen Hope scan goes well this morn and you can get the go ahead to go to ET....Well as soon ass you can sort out WHEN with IM. They must have got it wrong and it will be 2 -3 days hun...i am sure...Anyway hope some stress gets relieved today by postive scan on lining. much love and BIG (((hugs )))... x x

pequele- what a nighthmare with ovulation on day 24????? Hope next month everything gets regulated and iui will be at day 14.

Gill- Oh poor you hun if your sleep is dirturbed...your right the emotions usually do come out at night or 4am to be precise for me!!!! Yipee it's your last pill day Hope AF comes soon...is it at day 1of AF you just slap on patches ????

I am feeling a lot better so back at work today and flat out until the end of the week...as well....the weekend brings a viist for 5 days from my friend up from London. We will be a wedding on saturday but she'll be staying until wednesday. looking forwrd to catching up with all her gossip. Won't be telling her about tmt. Not that i don't trust her just that we want to keep it hush hush until we get a confirmed BFP and 12wk scan x x i soooooooooooo want this to work this time. x x

wow, the list is looking fab. my official test day is the 24th but we decided to test on the 25th as neither of us can have any more time out of work and the 24th is a friday. and wouldnt want to go to work whether its a BFN or a BFP!!! so decided to test on the saturday (only an extra day).

Just a quickie cos I'm rushed at work. We don't know the sex of the baby- - we've waited almost 6 years for this so don't want to ruin the surprise! It might be the only one we have so decided not to find out. We do have names picked for both boy and girl though.

I will be thinking of you honey and please keep in touch to tell me how you're getting on. I will keep everything crossed you can get going as soon as poss and that soon you will have a big baby belly!

Hi girls,

Just a quick update as its dh birthday and i cant abandon him for long. Part of his pressie was an x-box game so i ordered him on that so i can type you you guys

Had my scan and the ovaries are fine and the lining is 4.4mm. It has to be between 7 and 8 so we are half way there which sounds about right as IM said yesterday that ET would probably been either 2-3 days but most likely in the next week. I have to change my patch tonight then sunday so the lining might be in tip top condition by then

I emailed IM the results and hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow as soon as possible so we can book the hotel and flights as today is a holiday in Big B.

Hope your all ok, thinking of you. Will let you know the info tomorow as soon as IM email me. I should just call Gill at 3am, as i cant sleep much just now either, to much going on. Think i will be better when i know about ET---and EC---and eggs---and embryos---and flight---and hotel------------------------------------------------

sorry you've got to wait out this cycle, I know how dissappointed you must feel - I had 2 cancelled cycles at the beginning but it made it even more exciting when I finally got my first iui. Not sure which is hardest - waiting for AF so you can start treatment or the 2ww after
I came off bcp last July and and had fairly regular (for me) 5 week cycles until I started treatment then it all went crazy and i've been taking clomid which didn't work so well this time (they're threatening injections next month). I'm sure I'm affected big time by stress so try to keep relaxed (haha)

Took last pill today, so now waiting for af so I can start patches, I hope she is not too long in showing but a few days break wouldnt be too bad, everything seems to be moving so quickly Im getting a bit scared!

by the way on your stress list you forgot-----ET---rest---flight back---1week of wondering---back to work wk2 of wondering---2ww over --test day--- BFP day!!!! then stress starts again till scan- whole 9month preg---birth ---then stress continues for the whole of your life worrying cos your a MUM!!!!! and that's what MUMS do !!!!
