hey ladies

sorry this is gonna be a me post but i was wondering if any of you can give me some hope. as expected i was bloated after EC with stomach ache and back ache, which slowly went and i started feeling more than fine about a week later (this week). have been feeling fine and since yesterday i'm feeling really crap. today is definitely worse.

all round my middle i'm hurting, my back, my sides and my stomach. my bloatedness has come back and i have real trouble breathing. i phoned the clinic yesterday and a lovely doctor called back but unfortunately his english wasn't great so it was very difficult to understand him (and english not being my first tongue does mean i can understand people with an accent). he said not to worry, and it's completely normal in first stages of pregnancy ( :? ) and to call them back if i get a fever. but its completely normal. sorry about the upcoming TMI but today i've been terribly, terribly constipated and when i finally managed to go the loo i had extreme pains!!! although i suffer from IBS i've had it in control for years and have not suffered like that in years! now my backache isnt too bad but my stomach is still killing me and i'm still getting really bad chest pains.

:( :( :( i feel so crap and am worried that all this definitely means a BFN for me now! having said that, i've been trying to convince myself that constipation can be an early sign of pregnancy and that i could have mild symptoms of OHSS (which can flare up if it is a BFP). sorry, i know that all sounds silly but trying to hold on to my PMA before i go mad!

sorry, wasnt sure where else i can post...just needed to get all this off my chest! feeling better already! :D

Rachael, wow fantastic news, congratulations to you and DH. I am so pleased for you, all that weight loss has really paid off. Enjoy this weekend.

Ladies, we are very quiet this weekend hope everyone is well,

Becky, hope your daughter is feeing better, i am sure she was just unlucky and will pass with flying colours in January. My neice gets her GCSE's next week on her birthday, hope her results are good!! on another note i started accupuncture 6 weeks ago and this last AF was painless, i would highly reccomend it to help yours if you can afford it.

Jen1, hope your keeping calm, it will be all over before you know it, keep the faith, hope you did ok on your exam.

Jenb, cheap flights for you, way to go, hope your feeling stronger after being so ill. Take care you need to be 100% soon.

Gill, wow your not far behind Jen1, hope af shows soon, so you can move on to the next stage. You are so brave

Carolyn, hope you are ok, and not working too hard.

Aunty, hope the house is ok, and your not working too hard. Like your ticker but hope you manage to get there sooner, have you looked into the NY grants yet?

Shantala, hope you are hanging in there and your doing ok.

As for me, pretty quiet here, AF been and gone, so i will book in for my next treatment with my next AF, should get my downreg injection in around 6 weeks time, and transfer a couple of weeks later, around October 15th. so should lose a few pounds before then.

baby dust to all.

Hi Ladies

Sorry I have been MIA as quite a busy week at work and often hard to post.

I had loads to catch up on.............

Rachel - That is so amazing. I was reading all last weeks posts and then there is a little post from you with the amazing news that you got a natural BFP.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RACHEL & HER DH

Hun I am sure that all the work that you have done to get yourself in great shape has paid off. Sending you tons of sticky baby dust. So pleased for you & dh after all your have been through

Beckster - so sorry that AF has been awkward for you. Typical. May be we will get to cycle together now! Sorry about Tasha. Sure that she will do well next time around. So excited with X Factor starting again this evening

Shantala, Nannybear and Squeezan - our PUPO ladies - really hope that you are taking it easy and looking after your precious cargo and being looked after

Shantala - thanks for pointing out the lightbulbs piece from JB. Have read it and it certainly helps. Thanks babe. Will you be watching X Factor this evening babe?

Gill - hope that AF is here and that you can get started on the patches. Thanks for the info on the Barcelona moneyand posh hotels  Very helpful

Kim - really pleased that you have dates and hope that I am not too far behind you babe

Jayne - so hope that your diet is starting to pay dividends. It is so hard to do tmt and diet

JB - Hope that you are feeling better now and will really enjoy the wedding today and having your freind to stay. Thanks for the money info too

Pequele - hope that waiting is not driving you too insane.

Aunty - how are you doing with your savings? Think of you often

Jen1d - so hope that your donor is doing well and that you are very close to ET now. Hoping that you hear soon. The waiting must be so hard

Hugs to those I have missed.

My laptop died today after being totally fine just yesterday. Scared that I lost all my work on the hard drive  So using dh's machine which he will no doubt ask for back very soon. We took to pc world and we need to get it sent away so may be very limited posting over the next few days. Sorry ladies.

I am reading a lot (1 book already and most of way through 2nd) and trying to get my head around all the tough issues with egg donation.

Barcelona 1st appointment is a month tomorrow. Seems to be passing quite quickly. I need some time to get by head around this route too. Need to chase results from additional tests for me & dh from the gp next week and see if any progress on getting copies of notes from last cycle too. We requested a few weeks ago now.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend all.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

Hi Shantala

Posts must have crossed as I was doing a long one.

If you are short of breathe & think that there is any chance of an eptopic then you absolutely must call the emergency line. You need to talk to them. Getting no answer is not good enough. They may need to check you out. Even if it is just to put your mind at rest

I don't know about IBS but this really sounds like OHSS and is definitely associated with a BFP rather than a BFN.

You should take this as a good sign. I was having bloods taken one day at argc and a girl there was bloated and said she had been feeling like total crap and she knew even before testing that she had a BFP as it was OHSS.

You must drink loads of water. But I really urge you to call the emergency number. You should not wait through all of the weekend.

I am sorry that you feel really rubbish but do think that it is sounding good for you babe. I have posted on the other thread that you posted just in case you look there instead.

Please let us know how you are doing. Big hugs babe

Lots of Love
Carolyn

thanks aunty and carolyn.

aunty - no, the pain is not on the side (well it is on the side, too) but not just on the side. ok, i think i just need to calm.....dont think it's an ectopic, people get bleeding and stuff, right? and i dont have that. and yes, what did i tell you about surfing the net.... should take a leaf out of my own book!

carolyn - yes, i think i would go with OHSS (now i'm thinking a bit more calmly). the thing is that i called the hospital yesterday and spoke to a doctor who said it's normal and not to worry unless i get a temperature. dont get me wrong, if this is really down to a BFP then i'll take it gladly, all the pains, everything! but if its not then i should worry. think the hospital will probably just tell me to drink plenty (they cant do anything else for OHSS can they?)

thank you both so so so so so much for replying. your calmer posts (than mine) have brought me down to earth a bit again. really appreciate your replies. think i'm gonna see how i go and if i dont get any better by tonight or tomorrow then phone oxford's (where i'm having the tmt) emergency line.

oh, i so wish this was all over and i just knew whats going on!

Hey Shantala aww i dont blame you for freaking out of course you going to (we all do it) raises hand guilty your honour !!!!!...BUT i still have to say who you spoke to yesterday is WRONG very wrong OHSS should never be ignored and you do NOT wait for a feaver the trouble breathing is due to excess fluid caused by ohss and is very serious you have to be seen you can not wait it out like other things (not for your embies it's great news for them) but for you it is please call NOW just call say you think you have ohss as you are having trouble breathing and just get cleared oh and on the bright side while they are treating you for your ohss they may be able to confirm it's down to your BFP...think about that

CALL NOW....gonna keep nagging love Aunty

ok he called right back.....he was a bit off but said to go up to the hospital tomorrow morning and they will probably admit me as they cant easily diagnose OHSS. they'd need to keep an eye on me but if i feel poorly then i should go. i think i'll see how i feel tomorrow and then go from there but will probably go up.

eek!
