CONGRATULATIONS!!! Shantala. I am so happy for you. Hope you are feeling better. Are you still nauseated?

Jen1 - Woooo Hoooo! Two little beanies snuggling in. And then 4 frosties!! That is awesome. I hope everything goes very smooth today and you have a safe and comfortable trip back home. 22 yr old DE - watch out you could get twins. That would be great.

Carolyn - I know exactly how you feel. It is not that I couldn't love a baby from DE, or even an adopted child. It is just the things from me and my family that are very special that I wanted to pass along. I am 46 and three of my four grandparents are still living. My family has a very long life expectancy and an excellent health history and I can't pass that along even with the light switch type thing. I understand and know somewhat how you feel. DH and I have been to counseling several times and that helped me more than anything else. Guess that is why I have such an interest in your books. Thanks for sharing those with us.

JenB - has AF shown yet? I know it should be due any time now. But then again AF can be a tricky witch, she likes to mess with us all the time.

JS - how are things going? I'm so sorry about one of your precious little beanies. Are the other two doing good? Is mommy doing fine?

Nimble - a boating weekend, that sounds like loads of fun. Hope the weather is in your favor.

Becky - Thanks so much for updating the list for me. You are a sweetie.

Aunty - Hows the new house? Got it all comfy yet? How is the IVF savings plan going?

JackieG - Looks like our cycles will be fairly close.

Everyone have a great weekend. I am going to stay at a friends house this weekend to catch up. My two girlfriends live a great distance away and we have a hard time keeping each other up on what's going on.

Love,
Kim

Hi Ladies,

Shantala, congratulations on the number, nice and healthy. How are you feeling, hope they let you home soon.

Rachael, Hope the midwife appointment went well, have a great weekend.

jen1, congratulations on embies back home, and some to freeze for siblings. Rest up and hope the journey homes not too difficult.

Jenbabe, hope AF rears her ugly head soon so you can move on in your journey, glad you had a good time with your freind, enjoy your weekend.

Carolyn, How you doing, has book 3 turned up yet? i think you are doing the right thing in finding as much out as possible before you start, i am sure it helps to deal with it all. I hope your mum is ok with you and what you have decided. big hugs. On the weight loss Becky lost the same as me!! I always lose a lot the first week then even out. I am cutting out all takeaways, and only having carbohydrates once a day, and trying to stick to around 1,000 calories per day. Hope to lose a stone before i start my FET next month.

anyway got to go, finish work soon and got the whole 3 days off, not doing much as dH back is still really bad, he should get his scan results next week, i hope they find something as he's going crazy, and this on top of all the ivf is doing us in.

take care ladies, sorry to all those i've missed, will catch up over the weekend.
Take care
jayne

Hi :D

Hope you are all well, I am still at my parents house with my family enjoying spending time with my nieces :D . The weather has been fantastic 8) , we went out on the boat today and I've managed to burn my arms! (such a silly thing to do  )The girls loved it, the youngest thinks that the houses along the front where we live look like Balamorey from sea (the kids tv show not sure how to spell it :?: :!: )
I think having them here has kept my mind off tmt and thats a good thing as Im such a worrier :?
Sorry no personals tonight  , I am knackered!! must be the sea air.

Take care everyone
Lots of love

Hi Ladies

Hope that you are all having a good Saturday. Hope that you will be out of hospital soon Shantala.

I was getting so frustrated that everyone could do these fancy signs that I spent all last evening and most of this morning figuring it out.

Not one to be defeated and specially for my mucker Jen who gets back from Barcelona today. (Please let it work - in every possible sense!!!!)

Hope weather nice where you are. Finally sunny in London. Helps the mood no end.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Finally sunny in London. Hope it is where you are. It makes such a difference.

Beckster - of course you can write what you did. I appreciate that you were thinking of me and trying to be positive & so supportive. I am getting there. It is just a hard thing to adapt to the fact that you will never have a genetic child of your own especially when it comes so easily for some others. Feel better when the sun is shining. Weather has been so poor of late. Very scared that if ED does not work then will be facing a future with just the two of us and trying to work out what that would be like just so I don't put too much pressure on me for this (probably) final try. Thanks babe. I really do appreciate what you wrote and it means a lot to me. X Factor this evening - will be watching as I cook a b-b-q for dh's family!

Nannybear - any news??? Been thinking of you

Shantala. I am so very happy for you. Hope that you are on cloud 9 & they will let you out of hospital very soon. Jen1d just text me from Barcelona and wanted to know your news

Jen1 - Have a safe trip home and let dh do all the running around for you over the next few days. We want all the details of ET etc etc

Kim - Really relate to what you said. I don't care what the child looks like but I am very numerate. I was the geek who loved maths when everyone else hated it. Would love to pass that onto a child as it is so much part of me and my Mum, Uncle and cousins. How amazing that three of your four grandparents are still living. 3rd book still not here  Hope that you have a great weekend with your friends

JenB - Hope that you have a great weeken in the motorhome

Gill - good luck for the scan on Tuesday. Sounds like you have been having a great time and glad that it seems to have taken your mind off of tmt. That must be good news

JS - Good to hear that you and the twins are doing well. Cannot believe that you are almost at the end of the first term already. That seems to have sped by but I bet it didn't for you

Jackie - Have a great time boating. Hope the weather is hot and summy for you and that you don't fall in!!!

Aunty - Hope that the savings are doing ok.

Rachel - have you told anyone your news yet or are you keeping it a secret for now. What a great week with you & Shantala both getting pregnant in one week

Jayne - we have also tried to cut out the take aways. We eat a lot of fruit and veg already. Think that it is the chocolate and biscuits that are really my down fall. You are right - we need to cheer each other on. I have lost a couple of lbs but would really like to lose another 1/2 stone before Barcelona so need to try harder

Jackie - Will look at what is left of the meds and ping you over the weekend

Squeezan - hope that you are doing ok and giving yourself some treats

Hugs to everyone else

Must dash as getting by hair cut and now running late for the appointment. Then later dh's family are over for a bbq. Bought so much food that I just wish I could invite you all to drop by!!!! That will not help the diet at all.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

Gill

That is so funny. You really made me chuckle. But you have gone more OTT as you have done it on both threads rather than just on one!!!!

Cannot wait til we can do her test thread  and the celebrate her BFP. We will be so out of control!

Thanks for making me laugh out loud. Hope that you are having a great weekend.

Hi ladies, just aquick one from me.

Jen1d, welcome home! hope DH is spoiling you, take it easy.

Squeezan, wow on the go again already, your a very brave lady to be doing this alone. Good luck, i hope it works this time.

Carolyn, I know what you mean (dieting), we already eat avery healthy diet, and i do not eat biscuits/chocolate or crisps on a regular basis. So for me to lose weight is even harder, i can only cut down on portion size, takeaways and alcohol (only when not cyucling).Hope you had a good bbq, it was too windy up here yesterday hoping to babie today instead.

as for me we are hanging around the house this weekend chillin, I am about to go in the garden and pick a load of veg and prepare it for pickling/freezing. dis all my weeding yesterday. Went for a lovely walk on the beach yesterday evening and it was still heaving, the downside of living in a seaside resort at bank holidays. at least i now have a nice garden to sit and relax in.

Hope you are all having a great weekend wherever yuou all are.take care

 Honey i'm home

Home with 2 priceless little embies, which we didnt declare at customs

Well where do i start, this is going to be a long one.
First thanks for thinking of me and keeping me going, your support is fab.

So the night before we left for Big B, we had a major panic, i thought i forgot to take my medi, ran upstairs, took it then dh pointed out i was meant to start it the next day---------complete panic. We called IM and eventually after a few calls the Dr rang and assured us it was ok although if we had a problem with our main donor then the backup one couldnt be used as i had already started the medi. Tears, tantrums and major worry the whole night. The Dr tried to assure us and said the eggs look great but wouldnt give more info and said she would call us with embie info when we were on the plane and leave a message---was scared stiff.

Flights - Flight over, was delayed for nearly an hour and last night we were delayed for 2, then when we boarded there was no air-con and it was so uncomfortable. I had to take my medi at midnight and what time were we due to land---yep, midnight. When i was asleep, dh spoke to the steward and they put us in seats right at the front of the plane, then when we had landed and the aircraft was taxing to the platform, she allowed me to go into the loo. So glad we got this as my medi would have been about an hour late.
When we arrived in Barcelona, true to her word the Dr had left a message saying everything was fine and we had 6 embies---i cant begin to tell you how relieved we were
Hotel - Well the one we wanted was fully booked so we went to another one. It was ok and clean but not to my standards  (or i'm sure Carolyn's lol) and the lift shook everytime we were in it  plus it was a bit smelly. Then they told us it is a holiday in Barcelona in August and everyone goes away so there was no resturant for us to use after ET. IF there is a next time, we will book somewhere else.

ET day - I first went to have my acu with the lovely Valerie who is over there. She is slim, tiny and pretty with an American accent as she trained there and has lovely lips like Angelina Jolie-----------then i had to get my belly out in front of her  The acu helped and really relaxed me---Carolyn all is forgiven for being so bossy, you were right
We then went to talk to our Dr (Dr Guix), she bounced in the room and announced she had great news, "the best of the day" and told us we got 10 eggs, 6 are excellent so 4 will be frozen and 2 put back at ET. Both me and dh were shocked as we have never had frosties and later when it hit me, i was just so chuffed as we can have 2 more turns

We were due to have ET at 1 but didnt get it until about 2. We were quite reaxed though even after visited the loo about 10 times, i never know how much fluid to drink.
Then i nearly collapsed when i saw the Dr-----wow he was gorgeous (check him out on the IM website--Dr Luis Zamora) and believe me, he looks better in the flesh, with gorgeous eyes. I was dreading getting my kit of infront of him  We saw our 2 embies up on the tv screen and then came the drama. He put the bloody horrid spectrum thing in but kept moving it about-------oh my god, the pain. He had to do a mock transfer first then the proper one to get it right. I kept asking if there was anything wrong but he kept saying it was fine and he wanted everything perfect. I have never had other Dr have a problem getting to the uterus and i even felt the cathiter Eventually it was fine and we saw the embies inside. The Dr kept shaking our hand and reassuring us everthing was ok then said he wants to see the baby when it arrives :?: I just felt a little anxious that this traumatic event will affect the embies---they didnt seem bothered by it though. I suppose what reassued us was they wouldnt do the ET until i was ok and the cathiter was all set up properly.
Then i went back for another relaxing acu treatment with Valerie then back to the hotel for a rest. The weather was hot but dull so i didnt mind lying in my bed and i fell asleep until 7pm  just not like me to do that, it must have been all the tauma and excitement of the day.

So now today we are just lazing around and keeping my belly warm and praying that this will be OUR time and we can have some luck for a change and get a BFP  :?:

Love to you all and thanks for thinking about me

 Now now Carolyn and Gill, dont start fighting, you will get me stressed
All the signs made me a bit tearful and so happy i found you all.
Your support has been brilliant

BUT I'M STILL P***ED OFF I CANT DO IT :x

Will try and figure this out. Will do personals when i can, dont like to be sitting at computer to long.

Shantala - Congrats babe, i just knew you were going to get a bfp

Squeezan - Sorry for your bfn news but i'm glad you are fighting and on the go again, you go girls

 Hi

So ET is over and done with and the waiting is her again but i feel more ralaxed this time-------- so far.
It helps i know a little about the donor and now i have my embies back i just want to be pregnant, doesn't seem to bother me about donor eggs, they belong to me and dh. As far as he is concerned i will be the mum. Whether i feel like this if i had the baby, i dont know but just now i am just so happy they are home with us and it feels right, just like the last cycles with my own eggs. I reckon if the donor doesnt see the eggs as babies and she is just giving a help with her eggs as she doesnt need them yet well i should feel the same. She isnt looking at it like she has lots of children in the world, its only an egg to her. Yes, i still feel i want it to be like me but thats only in looks, it will be like me in character as i am bringing it up. Does that make sense? Do looks really matter? As long as they are loving, caring and happy people then that will make me happy. Anyway i have a stunner of a donor so i dont need to worry lol

I will try to catch up with everyone else over the next few days. Called my boss and have taken 3 days sick so am now off until the 3rd----Carolyn bullied me again  who am i to argue------she's scary so i'm doing as i'm told
