What's MSG?

At the party the other night they had chile and sour cream, but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to eat sour cream or not. I've been told to make sure eggs are thoroughly cooked with no runny white, and no mayo or liver pate.

Good luck with the scans today!!!

Morning my pregnant friends!

Woodcliff - sorry to hear about your family-in-law; families are often nuts - just remember you married your DH, not them - it's only because they're "family" that you care so much. I think it's your scan today - good luck!! very excited for you!!

Vlada, is it your scan too? finding it hard to remember whose at what stage.... let's bring on those healthy heart rates!! Don't worry about the MSG - tons of women don't even know they're pregnant yet and so have been on much worse. I would chuck it out though otherwise it might tempt the cravings!!

Cocoa, how are you doing my dear? Stupid question but can you explain how the morning sickness feels? I feel like I'm hung over in the morning (obvioulsy with the absence of alcohol) but I'm now unsure whether it's pyschsomatic (sp?) or I'm starting m/s? Other than that and sore boobs the symptoms have gone away which isn't helping my paranoia!! I still have 10 more days to wait for the can.

Hayley, how are you doing? I don't mean this in a nasty way but I hope you do get twins!! did your sister concieve naturally?

Kipatte, congrats on starting - 25 years? that is a very long wait - you deserve some luck.

Other than the "hang over" I am doing ok - now 5weeks and 1 day. This last week has been a long week - I can't imagine another 35 of them!! Patience is not a strength of mine!! Looking forward to hearing all the scan news.

love to all and anyone I missed

Hi guys,
Hayley, MSG is a chemical flavouring that they put in asian food sometimes for better taste. I already threw away the left overs so i won't be tempted. Also, i was nauseous all day yesterday and i just woke up and i feel it again. I tried crackers, lemon, you name it, nothing works :(

My scan is tomorrow, i am very excited. Hopefully i won't be as nauseous, but who knows...
Oh and we can have sour cream and mayo, hope that helps.
Woodcliff good luck today, let us know!!!!!!
Rebecca good luck with your wait and don't get too paranoyed!! :D

Hello girls sorry I haven't been around thought I would check in on all of our U/S girls today can't wait to hear the news!

Wood you just need to give DH's family the big bird, sounds to me that they are just miserable and unhappy in thier lives therefore they can't stand for anyone else to be happy, I know they are family and sometimes it's easier said than done but get them out of your life. I have this problem with my maternal grandmother, and aunt she treat my mom like S%&T and lies about the most absurd things I just keep my distance I won't even talk to them my mom always said if I do't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all and trust me they don't want to hera what I have to say my mom is to dam nice I have no problem puttong things in perspective.

KIP glad you made your way to the board

Cocoa sounds like you had a great time at the beach but don't over do it!

Robin, What the hell does that mean you will have more than me? give me a break that is pathetic sounds like she has some jelousy issues maybe a bit competitive. I mean we are talking about children, not a softball game! She knows how hard you have worked for this she should be happy for you.

Hmmm I had some pains in my left side today (the one with the tube). I'm sure it's nothing but the slightest twinge on my left side really has me panicking.

Anyone else getting pains in the side?

How's everyone doing?

Robin, I get them every couple of days they usually only last about 3-5 minutes and it seems to happen when I have been doing stuff like laundry dishes etc. I don't think it is anything to worry about unless it doesn't subside

side pains

Post by kipatte »

Hi Robin:

I sneezed and had the worst uterus cramp I have ever had. Like I pulled a muscle. My HCG was great 4 days later so obviously nothing to worry about. I get small cramps often. Don't know why but the nurse says thats normal.

Ah that's put my mind at ease a little. I have had similar pains on my other side without the tube so probably nothing.

My scan is 2 weeks today...

Hi guys i had my first US today, there is one baby in there and it has hb already!!! I am not even quite 6 weeks yet, so i am excited, but i got really sick today, my nausea has started a couple of days ago, today is horrible, i am very very nauseous and i throw up constantly. They gave me IV at the doctor's office but i threw up right after it was done. So, I am super exosted right now but very very excited that so far everything is good with the baby.
Love to all

Ah that's fantastic news!!!! Have been wondering when we'd hear from you!!!!!!!!!

WOW so you even saw the hb? What could you see of the baby? Was it like a little prawn!?!? What was the hb like? A tiny pulsating dot?

Was it internal or external scan?

I want to know what's happening now, but still 2 weeks to wait........

Hi Ladies! I did have the scan...TWINS! Very healthy heartbeats...it was cool...
Hayley, they are so tiny (my due date is not Ap. 28, but it'll be earlier cuz it's twins)...that all I really saw were the embryo 'big bubble', oh, the word, large bubble that protects them, then in the corner, the teeny sacs and the little embryos...got 2 photos.

In 2 weeks, I get my 8 week scan.
This is it!

Aliann: Thank you re: family...you're right. If not for the mother in law we'd not have anything to do with his famiyl. Unhappy people are bizarre, in that they turn their unhappiness into being someone else's fault! Your mom sounds like a sweetheart...that's another thing, mean people beat up on nice people. bizarre..
My mother keeps telling me to "take the high road, act like a lady" but my husband and I laugh, as it doesn't matter...his family is made of teflon and everything rolls off them...real THICKOs...

Do you have any morning sickness yet?
Vlada, oh dear, your morning sickness sounds awful...poor baby! And I mean YOU! Do you have ginger? (not the type you cook with, the candied type)...

Oh, Hayley, I get pains, or used to, quite a bit...I was told it's normal, but if it continues only on one side and is severe, it's important to tell your doctor..can't wait till you get your U/S too..you too, Aliann!

LUCK TO US ALL
(I also post on the May board...I wonder, any votes for merging the 2 boards? We have so many of the same people!!!! GREAT PEOPLE)

Congratulations! So great to see and hear that heartbeat. My friend suggested I rent a heart monitor so I could hear the heartbeat whenever I wanted. They rent for about 29 a month. I am going to look into it.
One more week to go before my ultrasound.

Take care,
