Hi gals!
Jeck, that's great news! I hope things with the Embassy go quickly, so you can get your baby home. What an exciting time for you!
Colleen--Yeah, Ellie still looks around all the time while feeding. Although some feeds are better than others. It's funny...Braeden used to be the challenging one to feed because he was always "leaking" milk from his chin...I called him my lazy sucker. Now, he's doing great, and she's being the difficult one! At least they're taking turns, right? As for school, it's going really well. I really like going for just 1/2 a day. I teach first grade, which is pretty demanding at the beginning of the year, but I seem to have a pretty good class. I get to teach them science, social studies, and math--all pretty fun stuff for 6 and7 year olds!
Tasha--You are the halloween gal, right? Well, I DO have costumes for my kiddos. I had to stick with my Buckeye theme! Ellie is going to be a cheerleader, and Braeden is going to be a Buckeye player! I found their outfits at TArget and Marshalls....they're cute enough to wear every Saturday, plus at Halloween, so I feel like I'm getting a little "extra" wear out of them. I do get the "One Step Ahead" catalog, and they have LOTS of cute costumes at pretty reasonable prices. They have a website too! Some cool stuff!
Ellie--Wow, she's a great size! She's about the size of my two, and they're 12 weeks old. (I know twins can be small, though.) As for more milk, if she wants more, your body should adjust to her needs. As for introducing formula, mine have been eating formula since day one since they had to be supplemented. Has she ever had a bottle of breastmilk? That might be the way to go first, then intro formula? Just an idea. As for sleeping more at night, I bet she'll do it soon. I read somewhere that babies around 7-9 weeks and around 11-12 pounds are ready to do a good 7 or 8 hours. I bet she'll do it any day now!
Well, my two are napping, I'm going to get some dinner ready while I have the chance! have a good one.
Oh, by the way, to my American gals....my students were just born when 9/11 happened. That was a big reality check for me today.
