Dear Rachel

So thrilled for you that you had the scan and saw the heartbeat.

What wonderful news.

PS - Mental busy but entirely off my own doing. It is my only way of dealing with the wait. Will catch up properly at the weekend with everyone.

Hoping every hour of every day that it will be a bfp for Gill. Hoping that this will be a great cycle for Jen1d

One moment I want to be in Barcelona and the next I am not even going to get on the plane on Tuesday and want to get on with the rest of my life. Still no blood groups either despite upteen calls to the hospital/dr. Rachel - no hols when we are there. Dash in on Tuesday pm and back Wednesday pm. May be we will try to take a break if we ever get to ET

Hi Ladies
Been very quiet last few days - hope everyone's ok.

Rachel - Great news about the scan. :D

Jen babes - Sorry to hear about the accident, glad you're starting to feel better.

Jen1d - A girl after my own heart, just getting straight back on that rollercoaster to go again. Hope the headaches are improving. Keep up the pma! :)

Gill - Not long to go now. How are you doing?

Pequele - How's it going? Are you poas again yet? Do you get any scans or blood tests?

Becky - How's the hol? Hope you're having a great break

Carolyn - Good luck for Tuesday, not long now

I can't believe how slowly this 2ww is going  Been soooo busy at work I've not had time to think much but it doesn't seem to be helping the time pass. Not even half way yet!
Also not really sure if running around like a maniac is the best thing to be doing right now. Did avoid lifting heavy boxes at work today - bit tricky without arousing suspicion, had to play the feeble female card which I hate as I'm quite independent.

Hi to everyone I've missed

Rachel, awesome news!!! Enjoy this pregnancy and ride the pampering part to the hilt. So happy for you.

JackieG, glad to see your post, how is everything going?

Su, giggling to myself thinking of you at work asking for help. I am the same. I am very independent at work and very straightforward and honest. So when I am trying to hide something like that I feel like an elephant in a ballet number. Isn't today your half way mark?

Nicky, how are you doing? Give us an update when you have time.

Take care everyone!!

Love and hugs,

 Hi

Sorry girls, i have been snowed under at work as we had an inspection for the last two days. Have just been organising our trip and finally sat down so its wont be a long one.

Consultant from the clinic i had 4 cycles rang and Dr rang from IM, both stressing that i dont need hysteroscopy as i've had enough treatment to look into uterus etc and all has been fine. When i had my tubes removed they also did full check up and nothing is there, its just bad luck that the embies are not implanting and i just need to keep trying. Its great to know nothing is wrong but frustrating they wont stick.

So 27th we fly out, 28th ET the 29th home-------again

Flights are costing a bomb and we can only get a return one at 8am which is a bit of a nightmare but needs must. We have decided to stay at Hotel Husa L'ille, looks fab and just beside the shopping we love.

Cant believe everything has gone so fast but Anna did warn me it could be like this and we jsut thought there is no need to wait. Just praying this is our time and we can have some luck----we have been waiting long enough for it

Went to see my Dr today and she has given me all the medi----£28 worth

IM have decided to put me on antibiotics for 2 weeks as if there is an infection etc so when i go for my doppler scan all will be clear an healthy, whether i had an infection or not. Dr Guix didnt want me getting to IM and having a problem then i would have to go home, take antibiotics then back for ET so this way we will be ready for ET after doppler. So now i'm on 3 lots of tablets twice a day and patches

Gill - You are so close babe and the cramping sounds good. Dont give up, you are going to be smiling on the 17th when the 2 lines glow  Thats the day i'm having my scan, its will great news all round.

Su - Only 8 day, you are just behind Gill, bfp here we come

Kim - Happy birhtday, hope you had fun. I checked out your photo on photobucket, you look so glam

Jen - Hope your feeling etter after your crash. When are you thinking you might be going over to IM, any ideas?

Carolyn - Hope your keeping your chin up, dont like you feeling down. You are so close, i know its been slow but your time is coming soon. Here for you if you need a chat.

Nicky - Hi, whats your news?

Shantala - How you doing, still feeling ok?

Becky - Hope your having fun and being good

Rachel - You still on that Cloud :P

Jackie - ONLY 11lbs, thats better than me, well done.

Hi to everyone else if i've missed you, thinking of you all.

Ok must get some sleep i'm whacked.

Oops was only meant to be a short one

Hi ladies!!! I am on my first attempt at IVF. DH is leaving for Iraq before we start but we have his frozen baby makers ready for me when I am ready to use them. Even had to get a Special Power of Attorney to use them..wow is all i could say to that. LOL. My tubes are blocked so we are unable to get pregnant on our own and hubby isnt home long enough to do this process with me. Pretty nervous..probably will be in the sept or oct cycle hopefully if our loan goes through!! Pretty excited about joining a group who is going through the same thing. Pretty nervous to do this alone though. Anyhow if any advice I am open. DH wont be home for the birth or anything so WHEN I get my BFP and all that he will miss all of it. The baby will done be born and probably a few months old before he sees he/she. Anyhow glad to be here and cant wait to get to know y'all!!! Baby Dust to All!!!

Hi :D

Well, not long to go now, I am bloody terrified! I know I havent been the most positive person but I have to be realistic and not get my hopes up too much. I have had mild af pains and some spotting over the last 2weeks so I dont think it looks too hopeful but the fat lady hasnt sung yet, so there is still hope. If it works I will be the happiest person alive on the planet :D and if it doesn't ?
I am having my blood test at 9:30 monday the results dont get back to my gp until wednesday!!! :x so I have asked if I can take the blood to the hospital myself and see if we can get the result back on Tuesday, I will let you know as soon as I find out.(I have got butterflies just writing this down :? )
I finaly got to know my embie quality this morning
2 were 4 cell quality 8 & 6
1 was 2 cell quality 5
I wish they had let me know sooner as they were better than I thought, I know they are not brilliant quality but I had started to think a lot worse as I hadn't heard off the IM about them.

Rachel- :D How wonderful for you hun. I am so pleased that the scan went well and you got to see the heartbeat. Now you can relax a little and enjoy it

Sue- :D Hope you are coping with the 2ww better than I am. I have found it to be hell, much worse than my preious times for some reason.Hope you're not doing too much, it does sound like you've got it sussed playing the weak female role! Sending you sticky baby dust x

Cate- :DImage , sorry to hear your dh is having to leave for Iraq but when he comes home you'll have a little bundle of joy to welcome him back! Hope you can start tmt soon x

Jen1- :D Glad you are getting yourselves organised. Is the hotel Husa close to IM? How many frosties will they use this time? I will have everything crossed for you babe. £27 is not too bad at all for the meds, sorry to hear about having to take the tablets but if it helps towards that bfp we'll do and try everything!

Carolyn- :D Hope you are slowing down a bit for the weekend so that you can try and relax. You have only got another 5 days to wait and you too will be in BigB and then you'll be well on your way

Shantala- :D Hope you are ok and that you are taking it easy. How is the morning sickness? not too bad I hope.Take care x

JackieG- :D Thanks for thinking of me, I am finding it very difficult but by Tue I will know one way or the other :? . I have everything crossed. Hope you are doing ok too

JenB- :D Glad the whiplash is better. Hope af is behaving now. Did the IM get in touch with you yet? I do hope so or that you hear off them very soon. Take care x

Sorry to all those I have missed, I hope you are all well and that you have a fab weekend :D :D :D
Take care
Lots of love
Gill xxx

Cate, this is a great place to be to share and be comforted. We jump for joy together and we cry together. It is a wonderful thread. I am from Paducah, KY (about 1 hour from you). My Dr. is in Nashville. So I will be making lots of trips past Ft. Campbell in the next month. Welcome.

Jen1, sounds like you have everything planned out and ready. That was so quick. I am so glad to hear that they think everything is okay and no more tests.

Gill, I am getting nervous for you. I hope you find something to do this weekend that makes the time fly. I'll be here Monday morning cheering you on for that BFP!!

Will check in again later,

Love and hugs,

HI :D

Becky-Image
Sounds like you had a realy great time on holiday relaxing and the hotel sounded fab.
You made me laugh  thinking of you way up there trying to kiss the blarney stone with vertigo! ( I know it probably wasn't funny at the time)
Not long till sil wedding now, you'll have to get shopping  , have you any ideas what you're going to wear?
Hope your girls didnt leave you to much mess, but I bet it was great to see them.

Nicky- Sorry to hear you have been messed around by your doctors :x , it must be difficult for you to know what to do for the best. I know you must be upset about dh test results but at least now they know you can get the best possible tmt. Hope you dont have to wait too long.

Jen- Sorry IM are messing you around with the £££'s  as if all this isn't stressful enough. Hope you watched something good at the cinema :D and enjoy your last coffee tomorrow

Take care

Hi All

Sorry that I have been MIA but I have had a mental week at work - all my own doing of course.

IT IS THE WEEKEND

Cate - welcome to the thread. Brave lady and brave dh. Hope that you have some good support around you - friends/family. Did you say how long your dh will be away for? Sounds like a long time. The ladies around here are great so ask away if you have questions as sure that someone will be able to help you out

Rachel - are you still on Cloud 9. Hope you are taking good care of you & your little one

Shantala - looks like you have been under the weather again. Hope that you are feeling better and taking good care of your little one

Gill - you are so close now. 8 is really good quality babe. You know that is what Anna had and now she had Matthew. So hope that it is going to be the same for you & your dh

Beckster - we miss you being around too. So glad that you had a great break

Jackie - only 11 lbs. That is fab. I have only lost about 4lbs which is pathetic

Sue - The 2ww is so hard. Hope that by keeping busy it is passing the time. Glad to hear that you are not over doing it. I laughed about the boxes too. Sometimes we just have to play the girlie card!

Jen1 - Cannot believe that you are off again so soon. WOW. You will be back in Barcelona again before we know it. Amazing. Good Luck for your scan on Sunday

JB - Hope that the acu has helped the whiplash to subside. Any sign of your book yet? Actually that was the one that took the longest to arrive when I ordered 3 books. I had to chase the supplier through Amazon to track it down

Nicky - Sorry that you are having a confusing time. Hope that you can get it all sorted and that the ICSI will not be too far away for you

Hugs to everyone else. End of a long week and afraid that I have no more time/strength for personals. Have a great weekend all.

I have lots on. Need to go to office for 8am tomorrow as problem at the office that I need to let someone in to fix. Having nails done tomorrow morning. Then seeing my dh's family tomorrow evening. Have a friend here from France on Sunday who had lots of rounds of ivf and now has a little boy through adoption. Plus need to write a conference speach too which I will have to give at the start of October. Should keep me occupied.

Have a great weekend all.

Lots of Love
Carolyn
