Hi guys... sorry been hiding lately waiting for my time to come. Worked 9 days straight and just down right drained! Trying to catch up on posts...

To everyone else hi and well wishes! Baby dust!!!

I am officially (as of 8am today) on my 2ww! AAARRGGGHHH! For those of you who don't remember I did unmedicated IUI. My appointment was today, Saturday at 8am....big EMPTY MED CENTER. Nurse said go to the wait room and they would come out and get me since no one is there to check in people. Ok fine. I'm there 5 minutes, I get called in by 1st name....Stephanie??? yup ok woo here we go. So I go to a low lighted room with all sorts of equipment including an US machine that is on. She tells me there is the restroom and she'd be back. Ok, so I don't have to pee, got undressed waist down, up on the table and waited. I look at the US screen and there is a name...Stephanie something NOT ME! Besides WHY do I need an ultrasound machine...about this time the nurse popped in and said Stephanie...what's your last name. I told her not the one on the screen and we all laughed. Apparently the other nurse that was walking in just as I got called in mentioned to the other nurse, hey my patient's name is Stephanie, too.... well I found it rather comical....maybe not if it was something a little more scary a procedure or something, but it cracked me up. What are the chances that they have 2 patients with the same name at 8am on a Saturday I mean really there were only about 10 cars in the parking garage!!! I was in an out by 9...would have been earlier maybe if I started out in the right room She thawed my sample and said it looked REALLY good...wooo go swimmers go! Procedure was nothing and I was home and back in bed by 9:30...give me a break, it was my 1st day off in 9 days and I didn't even get to sleep in hehehe. But yeh it was all for a good cause! So now I wait! WAIT WAIT WAIT! I totally suck at that. I guess I better do some house work that has been long neglected! Weee

Pequele - Good to see you back, was wondering how you were doing. Congratulations on your 1st iui - you're right it's not too bad really. Bit scary about the name confusion. I always have to state my full name and date of birth to the nurse AND embryologist before they start (even on a Saturday morning where I was the only patient there!) I hope the 2ww doesn't drag too much. Keep up the pma!

Carolyn and Jen1 - how spooky but love the pics, thanks

Becky - well done on the weight loss. Don't know how you did it whilst on holiday that's real commitment!

Carolyn - It sounds like your trip went really well. They certainly seem very thorough and willing to answer all your questions, which must be reassuring.

Had a lovely day with my niece and nephew and the sun shone all day. Just waiting for AF to arrive so I can start injections. Great - can't wait to be feeling nauseous and emotional again Back to work again on Monday (had this week off) to a dept with 4 pregnant women now. The managers are threatening to put bcp's in the water! (maybe that's my problem - they already did )

I am fine, got money sorted out and just need to pack. Seems strange when i look at the ticker, just seems like yesterday when we were in Barcelona. Cant wait to get my embies back, just hope they thaw ok, never had that worry before as there has never been embies.

Hello, hello, and hello again! I’m back!!!

I’m so sorry ive been so absent but ive been feeling so c**p and have been feeling sorry for myself! Ive not even been on the other boards as ive just been resting. But since yesterday I’m starting to feel a bit better, I’m sure my ovaries are going down in size, which is making me feel much better, too!

Anyway, went for our 8 week scan last week and everything was fine. The baby measured about 2 days bigger than it should be so everything is fine! And I’ve now been released back to my GP and my local hospital. Have a doctor’s appointment on Friday and my first midwife app next week. Anyway, wont go on too much as I don’t want to upset anybody.

So, get ready for personals as ive missed a lot (although I HAVE been reading…promise!)

Lara – hey hun, how are you?? Wow, about the quinny….have you heard back from your complaint yet? That’s terrible!! Anyway, hope you and baby lara are doing ok! Not long till your next scan…oohh, how lovely, on your birthday! Hope your cold is a bit better! There seems to be so much of it about!

Beachbaby – wow, not long at all now for you! I’m so excited! It’s so exciting that you are able to do something so significantly different this time! That must give you so much hope! Ooohhhh, very excited for you!

Gill – how you holding up honey? Thinking of you!!

Armywf – hey and welcome! Sorry it’s a bit of a late welcome but better late than never! I think its great that you are doing this despite you dh being away! And you’ve found a great board for support if you need it! Best of luck!!!!

Jen1d – great news about your lining!!! Woohoo!!! Wow, not long at all till your ET!! I love your PMA and think you have every right to demand that BFP! And I demand it too for you so they have no chance! Sorry to hear you’re getting abuse at work…about what?? I can completely empathise with you….after I went back to work (after I was in hospital with this OHSS) my boss’ boss just completely ignored me! And she’s made some nasty comments from what I can gather whilst I was off! Ggrrrr….dont you just hate them sometimes?

Babyblue – hope work has slowed down for you a bit! Wow, your ticker is coming down quickly! How you feeling??

Welshbugger – hey hun, you’re doing so well with your weight! Well done you!! Keep it up! Oh, and had a look at your hen night pictures! Looks like you had a great time! (but seriously, baileys and guinnes?? Eek! lol)

Carolyn – hey bud!!!! How are you?? Wow, lots of information for you from IM then! Very interesting! Your poor dh, I bet the thought of sperm extraction shocked him a bit! Hehe…like you said, its not like they have to go through much! Hehehe…bless! Its interesting to hear about the sperm fragmentation. When I asked about whether there is anything else my clinic can do to test his sperm (as dh is over 45 too) they told me, nothing at all! So that’s interesting! Hope the results come back ok! Good to hear they are not making you go through another hysteroscopy and you can go on drugs instead. That’s one less thing to worry about! Well, anyway, sounds like you have a plan and before you know it, November will be here! As I was saying to angel, we’re nearly in October already so bring it on! Oh, I cant explain to you how much I want this BFP for you! Ive seen you cycle 3x since ive been here and I will pray and pray and pray that this is your time! Come on October and November!!

Pequele – you made me laugh….nooooo pukies! Hahahaha…the mix up is quite funny but worrying too! Like you said, good job it wasn’t for a more serious procedure! Lol. Best of luck on that 2ww and hope it will fly by for you!!!

Wow only 3 days, justs feels as if its not happening but get some tummy turns when i see the old ticker
Its a bank holiday in Spain AGAIN. Have emailed about payment, asking about confirmation of times for scan as i want to arrange acu, plus want to confirm they are putting back only 2 and what happens if they dont survive the thawing process I'm sure it will all be fine but i like to know----just in case.

Just brought dh back from the hospital, he had his scope and thankfully they found only an inflamed estophagus. He has to go onto antibiotics and it should clear up. I'm putting hom on a strict health kick and i will be joining him

Then we got a call late last night to say his Dad was taking into hospital and now has pneamonia. Poor thing he has been through the wars lately. He was due to get an op on his bladder today but its now cancelled and the dr has said he is fine and sitting up but if he doesnt get his op soon then they cant sort out his kidney as he needs this op first. If the kidney is not fixed within the next few months then the dr said he may only have 6 months left----its just so awful. We cant even visit as we had dh's op then IM.

Shantala - Glad your back and all is well with the pregnancy. Dont worry about talking about it, we are all here aiming for the same thing so fire away. The abuse is not my boss or colleagues its the kids i look after. I am a senior social care officer in a young peoples unit for kids from 12-16yrs who have been taking into care. They have been neglected, abused, emotional problems and along with that and much more, come behavioural problems----which we get the brunt of----i love it but its hard and stressful.

Oh well back to the studying or i wont be a senior for much longer

Hi Ladies
Well I'm off again. AF arrived yesterday so just did my first injection for this cycle and booked first scan for next Tues (2nd).
Was tough being back at work today, not sure why - just felt quite stressed and irritated by stupid things. Have to keep reminding myself to chill, that stress is not good for me and work is not the most important thing!
Any advise on not getting stressed would be greatfully received

Good to see you back Shantala. Glad you're feeling better at last and hope you can now start to enjoy your pregnancy. Don't worry about talking about it. We know what you've gone through to get there and it give the rest of us hope

Jen - what a lot you've got to deal with at the moment. Why do things always happen together like that? You'll be on that plane before you know it.

Hi ladies sorry i have ben mia but i have been feeling so sorry for myslef i have had this cold thing for days and now have got migraines on top so feeling shit i do think i going to take the rest of the wk of work to see if i can shake it all off and to top things off when we went away on the weekend the turbo blew on the car so had to be brought home by the rac soory for whinging

Shantala glad you are feling better has your m/s started going yet i have only been sick a couple of times but have had nausea all day and night and though it was gone but now back but that could be my migraine have not heard from quinny but will send another email are you back at work yet perhaps now your ohss is subsiding you can start enjoying the rest of you pregnancy
