Ps. I probably missed this, but is Ghost a nurse? I've read some posts, but wasn't sure.

Take care! Misty
I have no idea if Ghost is a nurse, an RE or what but he/she definitely knows his stuff. I have a medical background and can tell you that it is clear that he has extensive knowledge on this subject.

Babyb wrote:My BFP was confirmed today (testing 2 days earlier than scheduled). Beta is 280 on 7dp5dt. Doc tells me this is definitely multiples, but won't be able to confirm whether I have twins or triplets until the ultrasound. I am still doing my regularly scheduled Beta on Sun so I'll report how the beta numbers are progressing -- double, double double PLEASE.

How is everyone else doing during the 2ww?

Rotobay?
Unexplained Fertility?
Piggypebs?
Meleson?
Julie C?

Am I missing someone?
Sending LOTS of hugs and baby vibes your way. WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!
BabyB I am SOOOOO excited for you!!!! And by the way, you owe me 5 bucks. I KNEW this was multipes!!!! Try not to stress, I'm sure your numbers will double...you definitely have a healthy beta!!

As for me, I am 6dp3dt and took a HPT this morning which said 'not pregnant'. I used one of those tests that claim to give you a reading 5 days before a missed period so I am really scared. I keep re-reading your post where you got the neg and panicked so I'm hoping that I am just testing too early. I'll keep you posted.

p.s. Any morning sickness yet???

Hey girls,

So exciting Babyb! How far down the road is the ultrasound? We will all be anxious to hear the news!

I am having kind of a rough 4 day modified bed rest. My DH has kind of been acting like a dork, and that always makes things interesting. He is used to having me baby him... so it will be quite the change for the little darling when the tables turn. On top of that, one of my dogs got sprayed by a skunk late last night, and we left her in the backyard until we could give her a bath this morning, and she ran away! Needless to say, the stress is not as low as I would like it to be :( Survivable though. Hopefully my little embies are strong! I'll feel better when my doggie gets back.

Rotobay, I do get the impression that there are a lot of knowledgeable people in here, so that's cool that I could always chase you or Ghost down if I have a question. My people in the "real" world just look at me like I'm a gigantic science project and don't know what to say :)

Take care!

Rotobay,
Mine said " not pregnant" too!!!! Well I think we are too early. I guess my test from 2 days ago was still the HCG or a fluke in the stick! I don't even know why I POAS. Both of my boys were negative fromn the HPT and my youngest was a negative from a blood test! MY eptopic was 1900+ beta and a neg HPT on the same day! O well I get I'll wait for my Beta on Wednesday. But Iam not upset or dissapionted, I'm actually in a peace mode. I feel great and looking forward to my BFP beta
on wednesday! I'm hoping we can get that together!

Rotobay and piggypebs:

You are still early in the testing. Rotobay: you tested when you were embies were 9 days old. I tested BFN on 4dp5dt but then received a BFP the next morning which became even darker that eve. So, you could be completely shocked tomorrow. MOREOVER, part of the reason my DE thinks I have twins/triplets is because I tested BFP with 10 day old embies (he thought this was soon). Your window is really about 9-13 days (based on age of embies regardless of transfer date) so keep your chin up. I know you are scared -- as was I when I tested BFN on my 4dp5dt.

Meleson: Mu U/S isn't for another 2 weeks!!! What is it about these 2 week waits (they suck!). In any event, I won't be able to confirm multiples for certain until such time. I know my RE is VERY CONFIDENT that I'm carrying multiples (and I certainly hope he is right), but I have heard stories of very high Betas with only singletons. We shall see.

My next beta is tomorrow (the day originally scheduled for my testing). If all goes well, it should be around 560 or so on 14 day old embies.

No morning sickness yet -- but very tired and get a few dizzy spells. Also, DH says I already have a bit of "pudge." Oh well, it's all worth it!

Piggypebs,

I SO wish I had your peaceful attitude. It is Monday morning and I just poas'ed and it was BFN again. I am SO worried. This is our 4th ivf and our insurance doesn't cover any of it, so this is my last shot.

I am so FN scared!!! I know everyone will tell me just to quit poasing, but I can't... "My name is Catherine, and I'm an HPT-aholic". Anyway I'd rather be prepared for the news than have my hopes dashed after the beta.

I can't sleep either. Not sure why. I really wish I could just slip into a coma until Thursday....

Rotobay,
Please don't feel sad, you're gonna making me cry  It's not over for any of us yet. This will also be my last chance of IVF. I truly beleive that we will get that BFP. As I mention before HPT never gave a Bfp and I have 2 boys to prove it wrong. Here's a link to another chat board that talk about -HPT and being preggers. Please keep you chin up and smile because we all love you and we will get through this together one way or another.

Thanks piggypebs,

You are awesome. I am trying to stay positive. Last time I tested positive 2 days before beta and that was with a singleton and before the new more sensitive tests. I know there is still hope and I am clinging to it. Only 2 more days for you!! Mine is Thursday and whatever the outcome, I will adjust to it.

Got everything crossed for you on Wednesday!! Keep us posted!!!

Rotobay and piggypebs -- I am sooooo praying for the two of you. Please let me know what is going on. With my last failed IVF, I cried non-stop saying it was my last chance because of the cost. But somehow, I managed to find a way to make it work. I know it is a struggle (and I am praying neither of you will have to go through this and will be blessed with BFPs), but PLEASE NEVER GIVE UP. I'm going to send my babydust your direction.

Bean how are you doing?

I'm in further shock. I received the results of my originally scheduled beta (9dp5dt) and it was 745.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 days prior, when I tested early, it was 280. I expected it to double to about 560 (putting me closer to probably a twin beta). BUT, it nearly tripled in 2 days.

With a 745.6 as my 14 day beta (when most women do their first test), I am wondering if I have triplets now?!!!! OMG. I know that the HCG isn't always indicative and there are instances in which a high HCG doesn't necessarily mean multiples. But after implanting 3 perfect expanded blasts and with beta's this high, odds are definitely in favor of multiples per RE.

Anyone with twins/triplets with betas in this range? I'm so fn nervous/anxious at this point. Waiting for US is killing me.

Babyb...

Well... all I can say is that you probably have triplets!!! and for all your efforts that should be a blessing!!!!

My 9dp5dt of 2 perfect blasts ET was 485 and I have twins... I knew it though. I've had dreams about twins for almost 2 years and even bought a 7-passenger vehicle almost 2 years ago FOR the twins!!! Crazy I know but I believe God knows what's up and will give us hints into our blessings at times. I am sure you have always felt it in your spirit that you would have your babies, am I right? :)

Well good luck ladies who are testing this week - lots and lots of sticky vibes and baby dust to you all. I hope you all receive your blessings!!!

Love, Cocoa

BabyB thanks for asking how I am)))
I doing fine -no symptoms of cramping, nausea, although my breasts tender and areols start darking .( I read that it can be sign of pregnancy and also the result of progesterone injections) Still want to wait till my blood work (trying to avoid HPT)))) The test is sceduled 10/01/07
Twins or triplets is great!I don't know about beta numbers,so I can't comment it)))Best wishes!!!!
