Hoping4baby, I hope you are feeling better. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to let what others do or say affect you. We are pretty similar in that I also have quite a big family and no one seems to be having problems reproducing except me. My 18-yr-old cousin had an abortion recently, a taste of the forbidden fruit that went awry. Hard for the family to accept it, even harder for me since i've been TTC for so long.

I'm diagnosed with PCOS and DH has slow swimmers, which explained the 4 failed IUI attempts and a waste of resources. So, I'd say i've experienced the dreaded 2WW enough to learn how to manage my expectations. I really hope this IVF-ICSI works and I wish everyone in this thread the best of luck!

Hoping4baby--I understand your frustrations completely! I hate to hear the dreaded advice of people that have never experienced infertility! The worst and most common statement that others say is 'when I relax and least expect it we will get pregnant'. NO...I have PCOS...I have something medically wrong with me! There is a very slim to zero chance that we could get pregnant on our own. I am hoping that if we have our 1st baby then maybe the hormones will correct and we will never have to go thru this again!
And I agee I feel that after going thru years of TTC our pregnancy and kids will be viewed in a whole different light, appreciated more, and cherished! And of course we will know to never ask the question to others...when are you having kids?

Good luck tomorrow Michelle :) ! I will say an extra prayer for you tonight!

Hi and thanks to everyone, I know that was a long post but I really needed to vent. And I am feeling much better now. I'm trying not to let it bother me too much.

Michellexx - I wanted to wish you good luck again. Try not to think about it too much, although it's easier said than done, but being nervous doesn't help. And you should really try to stay off your feet tomorrow after the transfer so let us know how it went in a couple of days. Hopefully you'll be starting a chain of good luck for us to follow.

Morning Ladies ,

Oh my How we all feel the same pain. And some days I think I'm the only one. I also have PCOS and here the same things you all here - everything hoping4baby listed I've heard. All my friends that are married have kids even those who oops it was an accident. And the family members who just keep asking and asking. Stop Asking!!!! My prayers are with all of you. No one will understand unless they walk in our shoes. But ladies lets stay positive there are many happy days to come to us this month as well all go along with our cycles. Michellexx- I will be thinking about you today. My transfer is next Tuesday and it can't come soon enough. This is all i think about!!! xoxoxo to all of you.

Michelle--Great to hear the transfer went well! What is a grade 5? I am assuming that is a scale they use to show 'quality' of the embryo. What is the scale out of?
Is the pregnancy bloodwork done 2wks after the transfer...someone else told me for FET's some MD's do theirs 10 days after?

Banana--My transfer is next Wed, and I agree it can't come soon enough! We will be 2ww buddies!

Hi everyone
Lots - some testing days depend on the clinic. Some do it 10 post transfer and sometimes 12 and it also depends on whether or not it was a blast.

Michellexx - them giving you a take home test is kinda weird how will you know how high you beta is. If the test is positive how long after will they do blood work? I've always had to go blood work and they advice against taking hpt. I'll be keeping my toes and fingers crossed for you.

I still don't have a transfer date yet, I expect AF sometime next week.

Michellexx, good luck and try to relax during the 2WW (I know I know it's difficult!) HPT are bad for the mental health so I would seriously stay away from it if I were you....

Banana/Lots, good luck for the transfer next week. Had AF a few days ago so I'm now on oestrogen pills. US next Monday and then we'll see if lining is good enough. If all goes well I suppose ET should be sometime end of next week. Fingers crossed.

Hoping4baby, flow baby flow!

hello everyone,
i am new to this your group but need some help getting through this. i had my fet on 9/28, only one blast was transferred and i can't wait to get the results. this is my first fet, after my second ivf in the US. i had one fresh cycle in germany that was negative. it seems like i am getting more and more nervous, the more often i try. when i did my first fresh cycle here in the us, i was pregnant with twins but miscarried at 9 weeks. so terrible, there was no heartbeat, i was devastated. but i wanted to try again, so we did and i had 4 embryos transferred on day 3, but none took. now i had one blast, and i am not very hopefull. it is so hard to talk to people not involved in this process, it seems like they don't get it. anyway, hope this group will make my wait a little shorter. does anyone know, when i could do a home pregnancy test. my regular test is scheduled for 10/8 and 10/10, they usually do two tests and give you the result after the second one. thanks so much.

Hi Pummalaeamma, sorry to hear about you loss. If you've read our posts I'm sure you'll realize that none of us here are new to the process and we're all too familiar with other people's ignorance. But stay hopeful.

As for the hpt, I can't tell when you should take one and frankly I would advice against it, only because you could be pregnant even if you get a negative result on the hpt. That happened to me on my first cycle. I tested about 5 times and the last time being the morning that I had to go for my blood work and all five times I got negative results. So you can only imagine my disbelief when the nurse called me back with the results. And it was a good thing too that I got the results from them before I left work that day because I was so down because of the negative hpt's that all I kept thinking was that I needed a drink and I could hardly working all I wanted to do was go home and drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine. And that's the danger of a false negative. So try to be patient and wait it out.

Baobao - it looks like you girls are leaving me in the dust here, I'm still waiting for AF :( .
