hello to all!!! while most of you probably do not know me ---- i have gotten to know YOU GUYS (gals) pretty well as i've kept pretty up to date w/ this thread (nice to know you've been being "watched" eh????? ) gotta tell ya ---- becky, you are the LIFE of this group!!! you always manage to make me LOL
a little history.....ttc 3 years.....me = 33, dh=53 (yes - 20 years my senior )......dh little swimmers are "our" issue.....1st IVF in 8/07......beta/hcg = 15.....resulted in BFN - chemical pregnancy.....we have shared custody of 2 boys from dh's prior marriage -- ages 14 & 16 (couldn't have asked for better kids -- just want one of "my own"!!!)....... and now i'm here! if all goes well - am hoping for round #2 with start of new year......needed a break as we've been living IVF and all the testing/stuff leading up to for the past year and once we got bfn - it was just time to chill for a bit
And now here i am.......wasn't really sure where i "belonged" out here, but after reading/seeing all you guys and what you've been thru and are going thru ---- it looks like a good place for me to land as I take a mental break from round 1........if you'll have me

Sq - Yep the sun has been shining for a few days now. Been sitting chilling with my book, lovely. 6 follies is good so far, there will be more in there soon.

I just did some research on the web and then e-mailed them details of my case and happened to chance upon someone who specialised in helping with ivf/infertility. Your clinic might know of someone??? I defintely find it a big help with stress and also the side effects of the drugs for me
Rachel - cannot believe that you are almost through the first 1/3rd already. You must be starting to relax

Well speech went pretty well - given that there were 120 accountants in front of me!!!! Then i turned my Blackberry back on. Heading down to the tube at Tottenham Court Road. Saw an e-mail from IM. Was really surprised as they let me know yesterday that all was well and I was right to start the bcps on Saturday. Was not at all sure why there were e-mailing me............
THEY HAVE A DONOR FOR US! Was in tears going down the escalator. How amazing is that.
So I am on bcp until 23rd October. They said that AF will come 2/3 days later and then I can start on the patches and to book scan 7-9 days later.
I am gobsmacked that it happened so quickly for us. I guess that we were very relaxed about matching any attributes and blood group and said that we were not bothered at all - that we just want the chance to have a family. May be that speeded up the process???
So I shall go change my ticker. Just got back from acupuncture and sorted out next couple of sessions to fit with my next bleed and build up of the lining.
Just a quickie here....I'm OUT! AF showed up today while at work! OOODDDDD I am telling you this cycle was ODD!! My luteal phase is just not long enough so I really need to talk to doc bout that...I am still convinced that was implant bleed yesterday morn. I had one wipe with a tad of pink then NOTHING for over 36 hrs then (sorry TMI) gush! Just an odd beginning. And I still have had the most oddest feelings all cycle...just not normal. I did no meds so this was all my body'd doing.
Oh well for now, nothing I can do about it. I just worry cuz this next cycle is the last until I can get a new job after next May. This last cycle I O'd on what FF says is day 16...I think 17. I had IUI on 16. Today was 10 dpo...so my luteal phase was only 9 days long..NOT long enough. Oh and on to my point...I leave on the 19th for my friend's wedding...on the other side of the country! Oh well
Hopefully I can reach the docs tomorrow, gonna be tough though cuz I work the 8-4 shift and not really where I can have a conversation like this haha.

I hope you can get things sorted out for this cycle. On the bright side if you ov day 16 again that will be 2 days before you leave, if you'd got through 2ww and got BFN the timing would have been right out.
