Hi Ladies, Well my scan was fine, the cyst had gone, so got my prostap injection (ooh that stings) and i'm on my way for FET No 3. carolyn i'm with you absolutely petrified i'll get another chemical. we are both cracking up over this go.
My interview was good for the dissertation, she made me cry, but the positive is i am being referred to a nurse liason/councillor to help us through this cycle, most especially at test time due to our history. I know it won't change the outcome but it may help us to cope with the results.

sorry no personals, will catch up over the weekend, big hugs to you all.
Jayne
PS, Transfer day will be very close to HALLOWEEN (SCARY)!!!!!!

Becky - Have a great day tomorrow! I hope the bride is feeling better now and everything runs smoothly.

Jayne - Good news about the cyst! You're on your way.

Pequele - Did you get any more answers about the luteal phase? Hope you get to go again this cycle - don't give up.

Jen1 - How you doing? You sounded so negative yesterday. Half-way there, you can do it, just hang in there.

Gill - Glad you finally heard back from IM. Hope you can come to a decision about what to do next before AF arrives. Do we need a 'keep AF away jig' as well now?

Hi to everyone else.
Had another scan today, still not sure what's going on. I wish my body would do something reliable for a change. Same meds at same dose as last month and totally different response. I now have lots of follies (maybe 8?) between 8 to 12 mm. Last month I only had 1 by this stage but it was 17mm. Got to carry on stims over w/e and go again Monday. Was expecting to have iui done before going back to work Monday but that won't be happening now so will have to take more time off. I'm determined not to push myself at work this time.

Had the journey from hell to get to the clinic today. Major probs on roads and a 25 minute drive took 1 hr 15m there and 2 hours back, just for a 10 min scan. what fun! and I've got a cold coming too :(

Su- glad the scan went well and you see lots of follies...grow big and strong eggies! That traffic sounded HORRIBLE! Hopefully if you go over on Monday it will be a much more relaxing (and quicker) trip!!!

Gill- you have to keep us posted! I can understand the pressure of coming up with a decision like this...last few days I have been so emotional as to whether to try a cycle again or just wait, meds or no meds, ugh! I hope that you feel ready to give it a go, but you have to make the decision that is right for you!

Becky- Have a blast at the wedding!!! Cake, I want cake!!! And look I'm not even hormonal right now!

Jen- I get to work tomorrow, too...and I volunteered for the stupid shift...OT will be nice though to help pay the bills haha. I am just so dang burnt out from that flippen job! I'll stay an extra couple of months if it means I can have a baby (healthy one of course) but I know the stress of it will make it crazy! If not I can just look for a new one sooner hehe. PS see, you shouldn't iron, it is bad for your health :D

Jayne- Halloween will be here before you know it!!! That is awsome! Have them put a little treat in your basket

I have been able to get in contact with my doc today. Rather than progesterone supps they like to just use clomid to help prolong luteal phase. Well, I am worried that it will aslo delay my ovulation as it is known to do. I figure my last possible day for IUI this cycle will be the 18th before I leave for my trip. Oh and also with my luck I'd have a litter of 6!!! Very nervous about that part! So I ran to the pharmacy (not the one I work at cuz well it is none of the people I work with's business) and picked up my clomid that I get to start tomorrow...nothing like cutting it close! For now I think I will just go find me some cake :)

Pequele - I hadn't heard that Clomid could delay ovulation - they gave it to me to shorten my cycle as I wasn't ovulating til day 28 (if at all). It worked too for the first 2 cycles (100mg dose).
So what type of pharmacy do you work in? Are you pharmacist, tech or waht? I'm a hospital pharmacy technican is a large general hospital. I specialise in paediatrics which is hard sometimes as I have to visit the children's wards and the neo-natal unit. I've not got my meds from work either as its just not possible to do without everyone knowing.
Hope you don't get too many side effects from the Clomid - I just got hot flushes. Good luck with this cycle.

Hi Ladies

YIPPEEE. It is the weekend. Even on my chill out days I am busy. Found out the more Spice Girls tickets went on sale today so busy buying them for younger sister and niece for Xmas presents. They sold out so fast on line - it was amazing. But they added two more dates so have managed to nab some for the extra days!! Think that it is just an excuse for me to get to see them really.

Beckster - hope that you have a fab day today. Love your excitement. Dead romantic that you are going back to the church where you are Bryan got married. Bet that you'll blub!

Shantala - where you been hun. Who can I talk to about the X Factor if you are not about. Hope that you are doing well. Have you told everyone your news yet???

Rachel - simply cannot believe how far along you are. It is amazing. You must be more relaxed now. Hope that you are enjoying every moment of it

Jen1d - 1 week done. You are doing so well. Now we just have to get you to try to keep up the PMA for the 2nd week. Hope that being back at work is not too awful and that you are not over doing it babe

JB - hope that AF shows for you soon and you can get started on them patches. Surely the mountain biking must bring it on. Still jigging for your af

Jayne - really glad the cyst has gone. Think that you will probably be a couple of weeks ahead of me with a transfer at hallowen. Not too far away now babe

Gill - so pleased that finally IM got back to you. I am sure that you & your dh will reach the right decision for you. How exciting that you could be starting again so soon

Jackie - well done on the weight loss. I lose a few lbs and then seem to lose interest and it all goes back on again. Plus the bcps seem to make me hungry this week. That is my excsue and I am sticking to it!

Pequele - I stay on the bcps until 23rd October. Then I should bleed 3 days later. Then I put on patches to boast my lining and will have a scan on 2nd November. Then if the lining is good it is just a case of waiting until the lovely lady in Spain is ready and then we go and collect our precious cargo. Hope that you can get the answers you need about your cycle. I agree with you that there is no point starting unlss they can take care of the issues even if it means waiting. Don;t want to waste that precious sperm

Su - great news on the number of follies. Good luck for the scan on Monday. Hope that the traffic is not so terrible for you

Aunty - I think of you every day

Want2bemom - was the stuff about the reaction of any use at all babe? Have you been able to find out more and how they might deal with it???

Hugs to those who I have missed. Hope that you are all doing well.

IM did a swab test whilst I was in Barcelona and it showed some infection that may cause embies not to implant so they will have me on a concoction of antibiotic drugs on run up to transfer to kill it off. No news yet on the tests they ran on dh. Have scan booked at ARGC for 2nd November so they can check my lining. Booked acupuncture sessions for next bleed and during patches to help with lining. So all set.

Hope that you all have a good weekend. We are on a day trip to Paris tomorrow to see there big horse race - the arc d'tromphe. Never seen it and weather forecast is goo so really looking forward to it. Never been before. Early start but we are there and back in a day on the train.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

Hi

Work was fine today but felt some stuff going on in my tum especially this morning and now am on a mission to protect myself from the news that awaits us on the 12th  So hope this is not a bfp as we only have 2 embies left and if that doesnt work then its over for us---cant even think about that. Dont want to sound selfish as we still have the other 2 but so scared it might be over soon---again

Still got my old friend hope with me though so not giving up yet

Love your PMA Rachel, thanks
Carolyn, you behave with all the french men around, have fun

hi everyone! HAPPY WEEKEND! granted I had to work the first part of the day, but I came home totally beat so I had lunch and took a 2 hr hap! I am ready for bed already at 7pm! How sad haha. I started the clomid... I don't think it is that, I just think it is stupid work  I was able to look at more info on the drug, I'll bite the bullet and take it. I mean if it will increase my chances I'll do it. That reminds me:

Su- I'm a pharmacist with a chain (barf)....we don't deal with fert drugs though. When my contract is up in May (and hopefully AFTER I have a baby with this cycle/due in July, my last try until I find a new job) I want to switch to hospital. I did rotation in a Boston Hospital's pedi ICU...so tough, but I LOVED IT! Unfortunatly now I live in a pretty rural area and the next closest store in my chain is about 45 minutes away (and I know those guys there too!)...we have 12 other chain stores around us....but since I practically know all the pharmacists in town, I don't want to deal with that either, so just getting them at the hospital was a safer bet (and funny, it was CHEAPER!!!) Every once in awhile we will dispense clomid, but I never really looked into it more than typical dosing and that hyperstim could occur. I paid no attention to it for my benefit because I figured (and my doc figured) that I'd be able to do non-medicated. Oh well. I have heard that for people who ovulate normally around the "normal" time of ovulation (approx day 14) that clomid can delay O only b/c it typically makes bigger folicles which would lead to a larger corpus luteum...and that is where the progesterone comes from, and hence I guess how it can help me extend my luteal phase. For you it probably made you O early because your folicles matured faster. Ok breathe haha...I hear the horrors of the side effects, I just hope I can be the lucky one and be spared...

JenD- I am guessing you meant to say not a BFN and not a P?? I got myself so worked up over all the twinges last cycle that I HOPE I can ignore my body again this time. It is tough, but remember it's not over until it is over girl! Still sending you baby dust!

Carolyn- How are the Spice Girls gonna be in concert? 1 lives here in LA and another is here "Dancing With the Stars" :) Either way, it is a good excuse buying them for the kids just so you can go hehe. Hope the infection get all cleared! So exciting you are on your way!!!

Becky- how was the wedding...still celebrating???

Where is Shantal? Hope all is ok and you are just busy buying baby goods!

Rachel- isn't it funny how much we depend on out cars!!! Seriously there are days I will stay home alllll day, but the minute I want to run an errand I don't wanna WALK!!! Besides in your 2nd trimester how are you supposed to buy all the cute baby stuff with no car!!! I hope you get it back soon!!!

Woo pouring down rain and I love it on the metal roof! only 7:30 now and I am ready to head to bed, pathetic!
