Desparado/Michellexx, not sure what i can say to make you feel better :( It's hard for people to understand what you both are going through, but I hope you will both be strong and like pummalaemma said, look forward to the next course of action. Take comfort in that there is still another chance! We always read stories about how some people only needed one IVF etc, but then there are many others who tried 2, 3, 4 or 5 times and made it too, so keep the faith, it's gonna be you one day. Don't let counting down the days to the next cycle be the only thing to look forward to, go take up a course that you've always wanted, or buy that dress that you've always liked. Make yourself feel good about yourself, you deserve it. Just don't let this whole IVF business consume your entire mind.

Banana, no i dont think you are crazy about getting upset. Frozen embryos or not, they carry the genes of you and your partner, so it's like a part of you even though it's outside. Everything has its time, so maybe for those that didn't make it, it wasn't their time yet. In any case, you have 2 now inside you and I'm hoping both stick firm and tight!! Good luck and i still say, save your money on the HPT and buy yourself a nice pair of earrings :-) Lots, hope you are surviving the 2WW well!

My US today was good, thankfully, all 3 lines and a thick lining so FET is slated for this Friday. RE's advice after the transfer is "sofa to bed, bed to sofa", and the following few days, light activities but bed rest not required. ANd basically, that's about all we can do for the 2WW!

Hoping4baby, hope all is going well and if you are checking in, do drop us a note to let us know how you are doing...!

Hi guys I was reading your thread and I am always heartbroken for anyone when these cycles do not work. I am in the process of doing IVF my 6th attempt well(3 failed IVFs and 2 cancelled) so I do know the heartbreak involved when we get the BFN. I would like to give you a name of a book I am reading it is inspîrational and I hope that with the advice in this book I might actually manage to get pregnant. It is called "Zita West's Guide to Getting pregnant" I ordered it from Amazon and really it is helping me every step of the way.

Anyway good luck to you all and I hope that your babydreams will come through.

Hi All,
Michellexx, im so so so sorry for you to darling, i really thought and hoped it would be your time. Its so devastating isnt it? I feel empty and numb. But at least we can have another go. Thats whats getting me through at the mo, im walking round like a zombie but at least we can do it again. The stats are 1 in 3 chance of success, it will be our 3rd time for both of us, so odds are good hey?! Let us know how you get on. I will keep you all informed of our next FET. I was having acupuncture, indian head massage and reiki. It really does help with relaxation, try it, its great.
Neeve-Thanks for the book tip, i will check it out tomorrow (so tired so am going to get an early night).
Boa Boa-Thanks to you also for your suport. Its really hard to not let the ivf consume your entire life. The way i feel tonight is that im a failure. Weve been on the list for ivf for 4 years (ttc for 6 years) and back to square 1. For the last year especially, all its been is ivf, injections, hormones, hospital visits, etc etc. That is your life for so long and when it suddenly ends with A/F or a bfn its like youve been cheated. Im so so so sorry for being so negative and i do understand what youre saying ( i will feel better by the end of the week, its just so raw st the mo) its just sooooooooo hard and tiring. Im physically and mentally drained. I really admire your positivity and thanks ever so much for that. Really good luck for the FET on Friday, ive got everything crossed for you. Make sure you do what the doctors tell you and rest up. Take it easy.
Pummalaemma-Thanks for your support too. Ive got everything crossed for you. Really hope it works out next time.
Banana-Please dont take that hpt early, try and hold out for your test date! Glad to hear youre doing ok. I dont think youre crazy either, like Boa Boa says, they are part of you and hubby, I got upset when 2 of mine didnt make it. Keep positive, it only takes 1! Take care, hope everything goes to plan for you.
Lots-Hope you are ok?
Just want to say thanks again to all of you, ive enjoyed being part of the thread. I will keep reading and probably stick my nose in at some point to see how you all are. Take care of yourselves. Sending loads of baby dust to all of you. Hugs and kisses too. X X X X X X

Hi Everyone!
Michelle and Desparado  I am so sad to hear about your news! I agree that a good cry (maybe a whole day or 2) is good for the soul. Keep looking to the future and what your next step may be or a like you said Michelle enjoy the holidays as they are around the corner. Desparado good luck on the FET in November, keep us posted with upcoming dates, etc.
BaoBao--It is great to hear you are ready! Friday is a good FET date as you will then have the weekend to relax & take it easy!
Banana--I agree about the embryos I was devasted and cried when I found out that only 2 of my 6 survived the thawing process....but all I need is one but I am secretly praying for twins! How is your 2ww? When is your testing date again (next Monday)? Mine is next Wed (9days to go) but I do have a very busy week at work so hopefully time goes quickly!

My butt is extremly sore and now my DH is starting to feel bad and even pampering me (I can get used to this!). I am trying to not think about the 2ww and decrease as much emotional stress as possible.

Keep me updated on how everyone is doing! I do enjoy reading everyone's posts!

lots of baby wishes - Happy to hear that you are doing well. My first blood work is on Friday am. So we'll see, either it will be a really good weekend or a bad one. I am also praying for twins :) I hope the time goes by quickly. How are you feeling? Do you have any symptoms? I have none.

Baobao - Friday is a big day for us. Let's keep the positive thoughts flowing to each other.

Michelle - You definitely deserve the weekend away. I hope that you get to relax and enjoy yourself.

Baby dust to everyone.

Hi Everyone!
I am new to the thread and wanted to introduce myself. Planning for a transfer date of 10/30...Right now I am on 10 units of Lupron and estrace twice a day.

Second IVF/ICSI: 16 eggs / 10 fertizlied grade 1 and 2 8 cell....
Transfered canceled due to OHSS. Embies were frozen and now transfer is set for 10/30....

I am so nervous....Started acupuncture yesterday which seemed to help my stress level.

welcome hope4babygaddie4us, this is a really great site. it has helped me a lot through my journey with fet. good luck for your transfer and keep us posted on how things are going.

lotsofbabywishes: hang in there with the shots, after my transfer i had to have 2 shots a day, one in the morning plus one in the evening and it too really hurt. i still have the bruises ..., but it will all be worth it.

i went to see my doctor today and i actually feel pretty good. he said that i had a chemical pregnancy and then it just did not go any further, probably due to some chromosomal defects, but he was very optimistic. so i'll have another fresh cycle starting in nov. i am pretty excited, since i like to move on rather than wait, ... my time clock is ticking. the really nice thing the doctor said though was that he thinks that i have a very good chance of getting pregnant, so far it was just bad luck that it did not work out, and that even though i am on a cost warranty program with 3 fresh cycles, he will do a fourth cycle if the next does not work out. i think he wanted to take the pressure off me, thinking that next thime will me my last. so, i am hoping and hoping that next time will be my time.

desperado: i am thinking about you and your next fet in nov., you'll probably have your transfer before me, but lets keep talking on how things are going.

michelle: enjoy the next couple of months with your family and relax and keep us posted on how things are going.

baobao and banana: good luck to you and i am hoping for finally good news.

talk to you all soon.

Michelle I am glad to hear you are feeling better! Swim lessons does sound like fun!
Banana--Less than 3 days to go--how exciting!!! The longest time will be from the time it is drawn until you hear the results (keep busy!).

I had no symptoms until late afternoon today and I feel a little crampy in my lower abdomen. My typical period symptom is lower back pain not cramps in the front. The MD office said I will not get a period until I stop the injections. Thus, I am not sure why I would be getting these symptoms (I am only 5dpt)...any advice or knowledge????????

Hope4baby welcome to the thread! It is a great group of women! I had my transfer last Thursday so I am in the midst of our 2ww. Your transfer is right around the corner! I am now on Prog oil injections, Estrogen injections and the estrace! Is your estace vaginally? My doc said the estrace vag is more potent then the estrogen injections--yet I am still doing both! How do you like the accupuncture? I did it with 2 cycles of IUI earlier this year and LOVED it! It is so relaxing! I would love to do it with IVF but I have so many appts to begin with (and work FT) not sure if I can fit it in....

Pummalaemma I am glad to hear someone else has experienced the shots & sore butt. Everytime I sit down I am reminded of what we are doing!

hello everyone,
i heard back from the doctors office yesterday and my hcg is now up again to 18. initially it was 16, than 8 and now 18. i am really scared that i had a tubal pregnancy. any experience anyone. i have to do another blood test next week. the doctor still calls my fet negative, but with my numbers going up and down, i'll probably have to wait for my next ivf cycle. any thougths or experience anyone. i hope this is not something serious.

Sorry Pummalaemma I have no experience.
I do hae a girlfriend that had IVF and triplets but all 3 were tubal. She had a +bloodwork, MD ordered a us since levels were not increasing rapidly enough and found that all 3 were tubal. Shortly after that she ended up in the ER in severe pain & some bleeding. 1 of the embies did not abort after taking the meds thus leading to these symptoms....
Hopefully all is well....it may be a good idea to request an us sooner than later!

Lots of Baby Wishes: Thanks for your reply. Yes, that's what I heard in the meantime from my doctor's office also. I hope it's not tubal, since I have had two tubal pregnancies already, both leading to emergency surgery with subsequent removal of my tubes. So there is not much left, but perhaps enough for another tubal pregnancy. I have to go back next week, and hopefully my numbers are down. Good luck to you for the remaining few day, when do you test again? I keep my fingers crossed.

Neeve, thanks for the well wishes.

Desparado, I've been down that road before, feeling sorry for myself and how I was being such a failure at becoming a mother. It was tough, 4 failed IUIs with injections after injections, doc's appts, following every bit of advice and yet at the end of each 2WW, it was heartwrenching. Notwithstanding the fact that friends were getting pregnant all throughout that period. I would cry silent tears and other than DH, there was really no one else to talk to, to seek solace in.You can say I've learnt my lesson, and taking it a day as it comes. It's alright to be negative esp after such an outcome, but I know you are strong and will stand up again, and the next FET will be a success, have faith in your embies, have faith in yourself :-)

Michellexx, so glad you are taking swimming lessons!! Enjoy your holidays, take your mind off the IVF and come back fresh and ready for ROund 3!

Banana, good luck to both of us on Friday!! Hope you get a BFP and start the ball rolling for this thread!

hope4babygaddie4us, welcome. We are similar in that I also had OHSS and had to cancel the ET last month. Keep us posted on your ET!

Lots, from what i read, most symptoms for PG are very similar to symptoms before AF. So don't read too much into the symptoms, just relax and try not to think it. Your embies will stick nice and firm when you are not worrying and getting stressed! :-)

Pummalaemma, I'm hoping the best for you, that your numbers will go down and everything will be fine for the next cycle.

Well, another hurdle crossed for me, RE's office called and said both my Grade I embies survived the thaw, although one has gone down to Grade II. No fragmentation so that's good news. They are keeping an eye on the embies since things can change, and will call again tomorrow morning to tell me the final grades. All's well to go for transfer tomorrow, I think I'm more indifferent than excited! LOL

Pummalaemma my thoughts & prayers are with you! You have been thru so much on this crazy journey. You are a strong woman, stay positive, and keep looking to the future.
I test on Wed so 6 more days...I dont' feel any different except some occassional cramps in the lower abd. I did read on another thread that the cramps are a side effects of Prog oil injections (??).

Good luck tomorrow baobao!!! Let us know how it goes! Your embies sound great!! :D

Banana good luck tomorrow! I will be thinking of you! I agree we are due for BFP! :D

Hope everyone else is doing well!!
