Kimberlyl--great advice! You are so lucky to be able to bf two at the same time. I tried, and that seemed to be my downfall. That's when the horrible pain started!
Malinka-- I do think a lot of our experiences depend on how close to "term" our babies are. If your babies are born pretty early, then they will be sleepier/easier early on. Mine seemed pretty good tempered, but feeding was really hard on me. I wanted to exclusively bf, but the pediatrician wanted them supplemented (and he wanted them eating every 3 hours!). So, I would bf one baby, then hand him/her off to my helper to supplement while I bfed the other. It was very complicated and time consuming. If I could have just bfed, I think it would have been easier to do on my own. So, that's why I say don't stress too much about it right now. It's all going to depend on what your own situation is. My friend's ped. told her it was okay to go 4-4 1/2 hours between feeds, so it's more managable for her.
leah--When are your babies due? Don't stress out yet! LIke I said, everyone has a different situation, so you can't really plan until your babies are actually here. But, that being said, mine ate about every 3 hours. At night, they could go about 4 hours (after they were a couple weeks old). Most of the day, they slept. So, other than feeding time, I was able to get some little catnaps. The first two months were harder for me, but after that, things got a LOT easier. At 11 weeks, mine started sleeping through the night, which was HEAVEN!!!!
Good luck to you. Don't be scared. It really is a great thing to have twins! and it DOES get easier.
