Stephanie- we are on the exact same timeframe. I started my stims last night. I am taking Menopur and it took forever to get it all mixed up. I have an U/S Friday also.
It looks like Friday is definitely going to be a busy day.
It looks like babY0807, stephanievt97, dancinnancy, 4ourbaby and me are all going to see our doctors on Friday!
I hope they all give us good news. It will be a nice way to start the weekend.
That is awesome that everyone is starting their stim drugs )))!!!!!!
babY0807: are you justing taking menapur?
stephanievt97: which ones are you on?
I am on my 6th day of 75 of Menapur & 150 of Gonal F. Went to doctor today and ER is either Sunday or Monday . Now I am getting really nervous. We had 8 mature eggs today so that was great & my lining is at 6 mm, which she said it needs to be at 8 for the babies to really adhere. So I am on track.
I am praying for everyone! Once we get thru this we will start a new section that is awaiting BFP's )!
Hi everyone,
I haven't had AF yet. I go in to see the doctor tomorrow. There must be something wrong. I started Lupron on October 22nd and took my last birth control pill on October 26th.... This is so frustrating!!
Hello everyone! Well, I guess I kind of lucked out as I started AF today and had my sonogram this morning. We start our stims on Saturday!! I have been on Lupron now for 8 days. Since I have so many follicles, they are starting me out with low doses. ER is scheduled currently for Nov. 26th!
Hope everyone is doing great!
Odie - My doc's office said that even if I had not started AF today that as long as my levels were where they wanted them, it would not have mattered. They said some women won't start if their lining is then enough. Are you sure you have to start AF first?

I'm now on 5 units of Lupron, 225 of Gonal F and 75 on Menopur. I'm going to ask my doctor about a 1" needle versus 1/5" for the progesterone oil- hurts much less from what I hear!
Stephanie- Did they give you an option for the progesterone suppositories. I am tired of shots so that is what I am going to do. But, I hear that they can be a bit gross.
I'll be on both injections and suppositories until a BFP (or shortly after)...then I switch to just suppositories. Suppositories aren't the greatest thing (I did them for IUI), they say lay down for at least 30 minutes (although some say everything that needs to be is absorbed in 10 minutes). Do one session at night and then just go to sleep. I set my alarm for an hour earlier in the morning...put one in and go back to sleep for an hour. I wear a pantyline all day and night b/c it will still leak out...even after you go to the bathroom.
I'm so excited that everyone is moving along so well! Don't worry Odie..Lupron can really delay a cycle from what I've heard. My first AF on Lupron was much different than the second time. I don't think you have much to worry about...but, believe me, I understand how frustrating it can be!
I am currently on .20mL of Lupron daily. I also take a pre-natal vitamin, baby aspirin, folic acid, and some other supplement called bioendurance...all of which were prescribed by my doctor. If I start my stims on Friday, I believe it will be on Follistim. I also have a prescription for Repronex, so I don't know when I will start that. At some point, I will also be on Lovenox. My first IVF, I was on gonalF and cetrotide. So this is a very different cycle for me.
I also will have both progesterone in oil and suppositories. I usually take 1cc of the oil daily and the suppositories 3x a day! I think that if I do get pregnant, I will continue to take both through the first trimester. After my BFP last time, I continued both progesterones until my beta levels went down and they considered it a chemical pregnancy. The oil and suppositories are not fun, but if it works, I don't care! Definitely wear a small pad as it will continue to leak throughout the day, even if you lay down afterwards. I also try to get up early to take one, go back to sleep, and time the 3rd one right before bed. It alleviates some of the discomfort.
A lot of us have big days tomorrow...be sure to report what the doctor says! Here's to hoping we all start stims!
Thank you all for continuing to post on this board...I definitely feel a lot better in this cycle and find comfort in sharing our stories!

2/08: endometrioma removed

I had my b/w and u/s this morning! My u/s showed three little follies on the right and one little follie on the left - that I made all by myself, thank you very much! Based on that and the b/w, I just heard back from the Dr that I am to start my stims tomorrow! So, I lower my Lupron to 5, and start my gonal f at 75. I'm thinking the gonal f might be increased after my next u/s and b/w...
I have b/w and u/s scheduled for Wed. 11/21, Fri. 11/23, and Mon. 11/26.
How did everyone else's appointments go today? I have to say, I was thinking about all of you this morning & keeping you in my prayers.
Does anyone know why they want us to take baby aspirin? I had a full page of questions for the nurse that just called to give me my schedule, but I forgot to ask her that question.
Went to the RE this am- She measured 6 follicles on each side (all ranging from 7 mm-9 mm). She said there are more, but they only measure all of them once they get to be about 12 mm. My dosage is remaining the same: 5 units of Lupron, 225 of Gonal F and 75 of Menopur. I go back on Monday morning. On a downside, I am feeling awful! My throat is killing me and my nose is starting to get stuffed up!
I think the baby aspirin has something to do with blood to the uterus.
I thought of you guys all day today too! I had bloodwork and ultrasound done and I am starting my stims TODAY! Yahoo! They actually gave me a shot of Follistim at the office. I do have a cyst, which they believe is an "ovulation cyst". But they don't feel it will be an issue with the cycle. Phew!
So, starting today I will take 3 vials of Follistim in the am and 3 vials in the pm. I'm not to take the baby aspirin anymore...for now. I will also continue the .20mL of Lupron. I go back to the doctor on Monday 11/19. It's looking like my retrieval date will be around 11/28.
My first IVf was just about 2 years ago. They retrieved 28 eggs. The doctor said not to expect that again They would be happy with 14. So everybody hope for 14 or more for me
stephanievt97: I think you're right about the baby aspirin. I think it increases blood flow to the uterus and helps with implantation. Also, I hope you feel better! Don't get sick! I'm a maniac about washing my hands and using those antibacterial gels. I swear it works!
I hope to hear from everybody later! It's been all good news so far!

Hi Everyone,
I had my u/s and bw this morning too and just got the results. I get to start stims tonight. I will be taking 225 units of Gonal-F in the evenings and 5 units of Lupron in the mornings.
I go back just for bw next Wednesday, have Thanksgiving off and probably bw and u/s on Friday though I don't have the official appt yet for that. The nurse said the retrieval would be that Sunday at the earliest.
I have been worried about interference with the holiday but now I don't know how I am going to work all the time off with work.
I guess I'll figure something out. How is everyone doing with that? Do your co-workers know what you are going through or are you keeping it quiet? Do you have time off planned or are you playing it by ear?
I am glad to hear today's appointments have been going so well! I was thinking of everyone this morning too. I was looking around the waiting room wondering if anyone there is also on here.
I hope you feel better soon Stephanievt97!
Good luck to everyone! Baby dust and painfree injections to all!
