Gill completely understand the MIA – that’s how I felt in the summer. It must be hard not knowing what is going on, I really hope that you hear something really soon on the adoption front - can you not chase them up?? You have so much going on at the moment, just take one step at a time - things have a habit of working out.

Becky – I know all a bit quick, but that’s a short protocol for you, started tmt 2 wks ago and in today for EC!! No hanging about for me hun – like to do these things quick lol

Pumma – so great that you’re starting tmt again – looks like this thread is getting lively again with girls on tmt!

Pequele – hoping this week flies by - beanie is just playing hiding seak with mom - cheeky little thing !!

ICSI – hey you will be fine…..but no harm in checking these things out though, probably a little follie popping out for ovulation - just letting you know that they are still there and waiting for Jan's tmt!

Carolyn - welcome back from the Big B - your break sounds fabulous - now you slow down for these next couple of weeks - your lil one needs some rest :D

JenB - back at work already, you are really brave - sending big ((((hugs))))

Jen1d - how did the appt go today with the adoption people - hope they raised your spirits.

As for me - those follie dances must have helped - out of 12 follies we got 10 eggs which is pb for us!! 8 were mature and they were hoping that the other 2 would catch up this pm. Really sore this time and lots of cramps so have been glued to the sofa all afternoon and had a fab sleep :D Back on the pressies this time ..... oh so much fun ! Will get the call tomorrow morning to see how many embies we get - praying so hard that we get a few snow babies this time round - just in case!

Then hopefully will be joining carolyn and su on the 2ww

Hope everyone else is ok - hugs and all

Hi Girls

So today went well, the social worker was here for an hour and a half and was lovely. After many question and explaining the proceedure she said the next step was to go over what we had completed today with her colleagues, then decide if we will get accepted to apply and a an application form would be sent out to us. However at the end she said she will be sending one out straight away as we are fine. So that was good news, no waiting on that decision---lets hope it continues this way.

She said we have to do 6 months of assessment and she will put us down for training, which will start in Jan. She wasnt so negative about babies, as we though and said there are babies but usually from 6months old. The reason for this is the Panel have to make sure their are no birth relatives who can have the child and the mum and dad can go to court and fight, which can take some months but basically she said its the social workers who are on the permanance team who take so long to complete the family assessments----told you they are idiots

So the good news is, we have to fill out the massive application form, be appointed a resourse worker, start classes in Jan then should all be finished by May/June and can then be matched with a child as long as all the checks go well. She doesnt see anything being a problems due to the amount of experience we have and my work history. Plus the fact that we looked after my ex-keychild and deallt with him, all his issues and still have contact with him, is a bonus. She actually remembered we took him over the christmas period in 05.

SO HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE OUR LAST CHRISTMAS ALONE :?: :?:

Bet the bloody FET will work now-------that would be the icing on the cake.

Oh well, i feel happier after that meeting. Dont get me wrong i want my own child and want to have the experience of being pregnant and having a baby from birth but we might get a younger one, you never know.

Thanks for for all your kind wishes

Carolyn - We missed you babe. Hope you have your feet up, young lady?

Jen - HUGS to you, hope work is not to bad for you.

Gill - Counting the days until your hol, lucky thing.

Pumma - Great news stimming is just round the corner--i hate needles.

Jayne - Hope your doing ok?

Su - How you feeling, hope your resting.

Rachel - Good luck for the scan

Nicky - Can you please lose some for me, scared to look in the mirror .

Shantala - Hows the bump, you got any cravings yet?

Becky - Know you have bee struggling, glad your back and ok.

Jackie - Hope all went ok, nearly the 2ww for you, then bfp.

Aunty - Hope your on the road to recovery, thinking of you.

Angie - Good luck for Thur, hope all is ok?

Steph - Dates are out, that the decision. Everything crossed for you.

Did i miss anyone, hope not. There are so many of us now---means more support eh.

Love Jen x

Hi Ladies,

Nimble, congratulations, hope all goes well overnight and you get a few to freeze. Did you ever get any answers off the Dr regarding doing anything different this time? rest up.

Jen1, so happy your meeting went well, at this rate you'll have 2 babies by christmas next year, fingers crossed. keep up the PMA. hugs

jenbabes, love the tickers! i'm doing ok thanks, been at work 9 hours today so pretty tired. Sounds like your doing good considering, keep up the PMA, i need my buddies with me.

As for me feeling good, still in shock, did an HPT yesterday as i have never had a positive on one, WOW it was instant. feeling quite sick and very tired by about 8.30 at night. trying to take it easy when i can. DH being very bossy and keeps telling me off for doing too much (i work with him also) I am an independant woman its not in my nature to ask for help!!! but i know this is more important.

Sticky baby dust to all you lovely ladies, and good luck to all in the 2ww, we need more BFP's.

take care
Jayne

jayne -- oh i just had to chuckle when you said you did HPT yesterday!! :D :D :D ha, ha, ha!!! i think the reason i chuckled is because is something i could see myself doing!!!! (cuz in all my years of POAS --- never, never, never postive  ) hope you don't get too sick and dh is right ya know --- don't over do it!!!

jenb --- you sound good hun :) i do have a question though, so you can just change your work hours as you please?? is what it sounded like from your read......just curious ---- as MOST places in the states you either work FULL time (40'ish hours/week) or you work PART time (10-30 hours or whatever/week).......there's no changing schedules so to speak..... so i was just interested in how that worked!!

steph --- hope you're doing ok.....haven't seen you out here...... keep up PMA girl!! not long now.........

jen1 ---- so THRILLED for you  glad to hear your appt went well and that by next christmas -- you will have (atleast) TWO infants!!!! he-he-he!!!!!  ALSO - do you have any idea on your timing for FET in jan???

nimble --- LOVE YOUR READS  absolutely FAB news on your litter of follies!!!! now lets all do the EMBIE/BABY dance for nimble so that she gets same positive result at end of 2ww!!!!!

to all others (and i know there are others!!!!) hello and hope all is well with everybody!!

*** LOVE & HUGS TO ALL!!!!! ***

Hi ladies

Jen glad the visit went well and you have something to focus on now with the classes starting in jan and getting your frosties home you will have 2 or even 3 babies for next christmas oh the expense then you will have but hey it will all be worth it hope that you are not over doing it at work has you are going to need lots of energy to fill in your application form and you will make a fab mummy very soon

Carolyn good to have you home and yes youd better not going running around like you normally do at least this week you are working from home so can do nothing when you feel like it the triplets are now getting very comfy in there where they are going to stay for the next 9 months

Jackie hope that you got a great fert report and then you can have some frosties for siblings .

Jayne i to had never had a positive on a hpt so i kept doing them to make sure i was still preggers yes bump is starting to stick out now its great i want dungarees but find that i have to cut inches off all the legs but think dh can get me some for birthday .

Icsi its not actually our proper winter yet we havent has snow yet but has started to get really cold in the nights and mornings espcally at 5.30 when i go to work its anything from 0 deg to -2 at the moment

Jen b glad you are going to be taking it easy till jan then you will be pregnant so you will still be taking it easy .

Gill how you doing {{hugs}}

Becky great to see you posting a bit more how are things with you what do the girls want for christmas

Nicky well done on the weight lose your doing really well.

Jackie g how are things with you

Steph hope your taking it easy and keep the pma up monday (i think it was) you will see the baby heart beating

Wishfil hope the holiday is going well and you are enjoying yourself

Su how are things with you hope that the time flys for you .

Hi to everyone i missed shantala angel

hi jen1d like you we are also looking into adoption just waiting for our first visit but my aunt is an adoption social worker and she has said that we should get approved for fostering and adoption as they can place a baby with you for fostering and you then have the option to adopt and they will only place a baby with you if they are 99% positive that it will lead to adoption good luck

Hi Karia

When is your appointment due?

I asked about adopting a newborn but if we become foster parents then i would have to give up my job and do it full time. I know if i did that then i could get a baby then go on to adopt it but i dont want to give up my job.

Is this the same as you were told?

Thanks

heeelllloooooo

I have 7 little ones waiting!!    It is a PB for me (personal best)

All 10 were fertilised and 7 made it through so we are well happy - hopefully fingers crossed that some hold out and make it to become our snow babies

I will PUPO at 0845 tomorrow morning..........wwwwwwwwwoooooooohooooooooo

On the down side (although given the results not complaining) am really sore and bloated which hasn't happened before, so checked it out with clinic and they are not worried......yet! And also a bit blocked (if you know what I mean  )

Jen d - thats great news on the adoption front - a girl I work with just did her training last week. You never know, with 2 irons in the fire, they both may work out - just that make sense - not very good at using sayings!!

Jen B good that you're doing min hours and taking care - your no. 1 priority.

Jayne - what a feeling seeing those HPT lines coming up - your symptons are all positive. Hey now you listen to your DH, he is right, slow down and rest :D

ICSI thanks for the dance - look what it has done so far - come on, kick the legs up high !!

I'm off for a bit of xmas deccie shopping - dont you just love all those bubbles and glitter - our garden centre has a 10% off night so off I go. Then down to M&S to get one of the miracle body shapers - we have a party saturday night (a quiet one for me hasten to add, my lil ones are too young to go out drinking :D ) and the dress is looking a lumpy and bumpy - (well thats my body not the dress really)

hugs & all

 Hi girls
Image

Image

Image

Yep i am a bit excited now, thinking that i can maybe be a mum before next Christmas BUT you wont believe this girls. I spent all last night sleeping badly and worrying about things like
what if a child breaks up my marriage, causes problems
what if i cant bond with it
what if it doesnt like us
what if we cant get shifts shorted for child care
what if the kid goes to look for its own parents at 18
what if it doesnt what us then
what if it has behavioural problems
what if i am stressed about it mucking up my house, lol (thats a daft one)
what if i cant be bothered to be a mum after all this
what if i still grieve for my own and reject it
what if friends dont treat it like its mine as its not biological
what if its UGLY---you know i dont do uglies lol (sorry another daft one)
THE LIST GOES ON.

My friend has always said if the ivf ever worked then its still natural to be shocked that you are pregnant and to feel lots of emotions about the changes that will happen.

Maybe i am just being daft but i think i would prefer another 2ww

Anyway still a long way to go and i'm still praying i can have my own little bundle, thats what i really want, so have to focus on the frosties first.

Ok off to do a sleepover tomorrow then out with the girls to watch Scotland and Italy and have a few lemonades---should be a laugh.

If i dont get back, have a good weekend.

Love Jen x

we hope to see the SW in the next two weeks and we where more or less told the same thing but i am willing to give up work as we have been trying for another child for 15 years so being a full time mum is something i really want to do. i am from Glasgow and my friend who fosters was given a 4 day old little boy 15 months ago and she has been told that he will be put up for adoption within the next 8 months this is her second baby the last one she had for 2and a half years we are also considering adoption from Russia is this something you have thought about as there isnt many babies in northern ireland
