hello ladies, i just wanted to update everyone and ask your advice. i just came back from the ultrasound appointment and i have two large cysts, about 2 cm in diameter, now i am not sure if i can start stims or not. the doc that did the ultrasound would not start, he is a general reproductive doc, and i have not heard from my ivf doc. probably will hear from him later today. anyone ever had large cycsts and started their stimulation? any advice? not sure if i should try to go forward or not.

sorry, this is so short, but i have to go to a meeting now.

talk to all of you later.

Pumma AND Su ------ I read The Secret during my last (first) 2ww --------- I LOVED it!!!!!!! :D Thought it was great book…..not to interrupt your conversation, but had to add my two cents (you know me)………

Beckster ---- HELLLOOOOOO!!!!!! Was so happy to read about your new job – YOU GO GIRL!!! So --- I’m curious….you talk about ringing the clinic to “see where you are” ----- don’t you guys (gals) on that side of the pond do the same thing we do here in the states??? If we want to go for infertility treatment (of any kind) --- we can just make appt w/ RE – and get the ball rolling!! No waiting in line or anything…..of course here in the states – is also something not currently covered by a lot of ins companies….there are some individual states that require certain levels of insurance coverage (I don’t happen to live in one of those states)….but otherwise, if your ins company doesn’t cover it --- it’s just out of pocket!!!! (me)……doesn’t work the same over there?? (oh and for the record --- MOST people here in the states do NOT decorate like you see in “home alone”!!!) ha, ha, ha!!! :P :P :P

Wishful/Carolyn --- you know me TOO well!!!! There is NOTHING better than having my legs in the stirrups!!!! (or NOT!!! ) honestly requires too much maintenance --- must have clean shaven legs…..little trim job “down there” (I don’t like bushy anyway – so I keep clipped – nice & tidy!!!) TMI  – I know…..sorry girls…….anyway ---- so happy to hear you had a FAB vaca – nice to have you back…

Nimble --- love your color coordination!!! I pretty much go w/ the “traditional” red/green…..don’t really have color theme……I just love it all!!!!!! Must tell ya am LOVIN your PMA!!!!!!!!!!!! A true inspiration!!!

Su --- you don’t put your decs up til a WEEK before Christmas?????? why bother??? Ha, ah, ha!!! Seriously --- if I waited that long, I would not do it at all as it takes a couple of days to get all my crap out of storage and out and decorated!!!!! LOVE IT THOUGH!!! Not long now for your test girl……….your BFP will be here before ya know it!!

Jayne --- OMG, hand grenades??????? That must have been fun to watch all the excitement!!! (assuming nobody was injured)……so have you rescheduled hair appt??? ***happy anniversary*** you will ALWAYS remember this one…..for good reasons!

Shantala!!!!!! Always such a pleasure to see you out and about 8) ……..and look at you – multiple postings in ONE day!!!! And can I just say that even NOT being preggo that I usually cannot make it past 10pm!!!!

Rachel --- oh what fun buying beebop all the bb stuff!!!! :D And you’re going to let us know after scan today ---- we having a boy or girl???????????????????????????????

Steph ---- thinking of you girl………..hope you’re hangin in there………(((((HUGS))))) :)

A big hello to all others!!!!!!!!! I’ll be off on a LOOONNNGGGGG weekend on account of Thanksgiving………..so you all take care and try not to overwhelm me too much for when I get back!!! (cuz it’s all about ME ya know!!!)

blimey, being a busy thread today!

SHA - thank you for popping in and checking on us - can't believe you're over half way!!

Su, not long for you either - as the others have said to me, can't over analyse (but sshhh don't let the others hear....but I've also had some too, so think its all a good sign that good things happening!!!)

Jayne - Image

wow what an adventure to the hairdressers - thank god your appt wasn't any earlier otherwise you would have been sent home with wet hair too!!

I'm sure the spotting is nothing, but do insist to get it checked out if it continues hun......ensure you rest.

Shantala - much better now thanks - think i was probably I bit blocked !! which caused some of the pain and bloating - plus the clinic said that I should expect a little more discomfort than before as I had more eggs. Glad your getting a wee bump - must be exciting!!

Jen1d - how are you feeling today?? Do worry about you.

Rachel - it must make it all seem so really when you start buying the baby stuff.

Pumma - really sorry about the scan - have the clinic rung yet? Can't help you I'm afraid but do hope you get it sorted soon

ICSI - another weekend away without us !! Sorry it is just not on!! Happy Thanks giving - have a super time.
Your comments to Carolyn made me smile re shaven legs etc - last week prior to going to clinic, i made sure I was all trim and tidy in all areas much to my DH amusement :D

Off to cook my hubby.....later

Steph - I am so very sorry that this has happened to you. This is so cruel and unfair. Big hugs to you. We are all here for you when you are ready. Take good care.

Kelly & Su - hope that you are doing better than me!!!

Carolyn - God I wish that I had been on the holiday with you! Sounds great

Jayne - Happy Anniversary. Hope that you have been resting up. I know that you are going crazy with the waiting. Worse that 2ww!? If the spotting was only brown then sounds like old blood so all should be well. Take it easy and rest up hun. So hope that Monday is going to be a great day for you hun. What a story about the hairdresser. At least you were not part way through

Nimble - you don't want them to go too fast at the start as was told that they can run out of energy and stop developing. You know that you got a +ve with poor quality embies and these ones were good so no reason to think that it will not happen again

JB - your attitude and strength are amazing. Glad that you had some fun and are getting ready for Xmas. You will be back to collect your snow babies before too long. Thanks for all the supportive messages. The football is too depressing. Beckhams coming on so at least there is something better to look at in the 2nd half! So glad that my dh has gone out to watch with freinds. He will be

Gill - seems like you are busy getting ready for your hols. Hugs babe

Rachel - so excited for you hun. Cannot wait to know what flavor you are getting. Crossing everything for you babe

Pumma - Sorry about the cysts. Cannot help I'm afraid as cysts would seem like 1 of the few issues that I have not had. Hope that all is well and that you will be able to move ahead. Can't believe that I am wishing you to be injecting away by tomorrow evening :?

Jen1d - I know that you are not having a great time right now but you are being a fab support to me. We will both get there. Repeat after me. We will get there in the end . No comments about the football please!!

Beckster - Glad that dh is back at home for you. Sorry that the list is moving really slowly for you. Nothing wrong with being 40 babe

Shantala - thanks for looking out for me hun. Just had quite a lot on my plate and struggled to get here with an update. Cannot believe how far along you are. Need to update your pics on My Space and put one there of your little bump

Hope that all the US girls have a really great Thanksgiving with loads of turkey.

Hugs to everyone else.

I am doing ok sort of. Just sort of resigned to the outcome really. IM responded and said not to panic - yeah right. They also said if it got red then I could up the meds. No sign since. No sign of anything at all actually. Got through day 11 but know that is the high/different meds this time. Quite relaxed considering. Think that it is because I am already planning what will come next. Sure that I will have a melt down when I test so trying to see whether the clinic will allow me to test Sunday (15 days after transfer and another 2 days post collection) so I can melt down then rather than taking the call on a Monday morning. Well I shall see what they have to say.

Thanks for all your support. You are all amazing ladies and don';t know what I would do with this source of information, comfort and support.

Night Night

Hi ladies- thanks for the love n support! I am still in a piss mood. Sorry for no personals yet again...my head isn't in the right place. I do wish everyone sticky dust and plenty of follies! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here and forgive me if I feel like right now I have nothing to be thankful for! It sucks, everything just sucks and I hate it! My body is in even more pain than it was on Monday, my mom keeps buggin me to call the doc, but it isn't like I have a fever or any sign of infection so what can he do?

I just keep going back and forth though, wait til I get a new job in May, don't wait! The longer I wait, the older I get! I worry about finding a new job while pregnant, I won't qualify for the paid time off I'd need, but then I also wouldn't quallify until being in the new job for over 12 months for what we call family medical leave....it is unpaid leave but it keeps your job secure, it continues your medical insurance... a few important things in life. Sure I can save up, I can only do so much though. I'm just so impatient and I don't want to wait any more!

I know it is just the hormones talking, I just don't have many people to vent to since I didn't tell a whole lot of people to begin with :(

Someday my head will be screwed on straight again but in the meantime thanks for hearing my rant!

hello everyone, i just wanted to give you an update on what's going on. my ivf doctor called earlier today and told me that since i have those two large cycst they will want to do another ultrasound next week to see whether the cycst have gotten smaller and then i may only be one week behind, which still means i can have my retrieval and transfer in december. i am glad that both docs agree and i don't have to make a decision. for the next week i will continue my lupron shots and baby aspirin and multivitamin.

sorry this post is so short but it is late and i really should go to bed now.

many hugs to everyone.

Steph - sending you big cyber hugs across the pond(((((())))))

Take all the time you need and you know we will all listen to you ranting - its part of the healing process - no one else understands what you are going through apart from the girlies on the boards.

Take care, much love

Steph - big hugs. can understand why this is so hard for you right now

Pumma - at least they are making sure that you are in great shape before you start

Sorry in a mad dash as meant to be driving to a meeting in Reading and not left yet................

Well I wrote to IM/Barcelona and asked whether I really had to test on a Monday morning when I will be at work. Which is 16 days post transfer.

They said that my normal test date would be Saturday - they just don't say weekend test date (JB - that answers your question!) as not sure how girls/clinics will be able to accomodate.

So my test is now two days away. Feel nothing at all. But at least that will give me the weekend to get to grips with the result.

I will keep you all posted.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

Hello ladies,

I'm back, again!! I have been lurking around and reading some of this thread. With us being in a limbo and not knowing what we can do, I've been feeling miserable and didn't want to send negative vibes on this thread.

Steph - I'm really sorry this happened. I can sort of understand the dilema you're in. Give it some time, you will come up with a decision. Feel free to vent anytime. This forum is a lifeline for many of us and the ladies on this thread are especially wonderful. Always say the right things.

CarolynB - you have got to stop being so negative. I can understand the thing about it being less of a let down if you are prepared. But hun, at the back of our minds we all have some hope - that’s why we go for tmt. Send some positive vibes to the little ones snuggling in there. You have been so helpful to so many of us, I'm sure you'll be a warm, kind and loving mum.

Jenbabes, Jend - you are such strong women, I ought to be insipred by you. You've been through so much and yet you find the time to get on this thread and lay lovely things to others. Here I am, tmt has not even started and I'm down in the ruts.

Nimble & Su - hope the 2ww isn't too difficult. Time's coming near for your test dates. Keep up with the PMA!!!!

Pmma - hope your cycsts get smaller and you can continue with your cycle.

Jayne - Happy Anniversary. And your DH is right, you need to take it easy. And its not often that men are right, so listen to him.

Becky - Congrats on the new job. July will be here before you know it and you'll soon be on the 2ww!!!

ICSI girl - you make me laugh. Always good to read a post from you.

Wishful - sounds like you had a lovely holiday.

Shantala and Lara - how are the babies? Dying to know what you're having.

I'm terribly sorry if I've missed anyone. Will make sure I catch up on all the news soon, even though things are moving so fast on this thread.

As for us, we've been through a hell of a roller coaster ride. Won't bore you with all the details. At one point we just felt like giving up. Anyway, it seems to have all panned out in the end. The upshot of our saga is that I finally start my very first IVF cycle on my next AF, which is…………next week!!!!!!!! Flights are booked, accomodation and money sorted. One major hurdle still left though. We still haven't managed to buy the medication. Because of all the formalities involved in trying to get a UK prescription for treatment abroad, we only just got the prescription, and now many of the pharmacies are saying they have to be ordered and may not arrive on time! Great…….so we thought we'd been through our share of constant bad news before we even start tmt, and one more blow. We found one place where they would order it in 2 days. The problem is that they need the prescription, which happens to be with another pharmacy. I know that tmt was never going to be simple, but we were just wishing that the process of at least reaching there would be a little bit easier. Now I am worried about what happens if we don't get the medication before AF arrives.

evening - just a quicky for me as absolutely shattered from work, so pj's are already on, TV on, hubby at gym so an hour or so peace and quiet!! :D

Carolyn - I know you are preparing for the worse and I'm glad they can possibly pull the test date forward but until the fat lady signs you have the same chance as all of us of getting that BFP - so come on lady, a little PMA please - sending you loads of sticky dust and some PMA your way :D :D

Jayne glad the spotting has stopped - not long for the scan - its like time stands still sometimes waiting for these things :x

Angel - can the clinic abroad not provide meds?? Sorry i bit naive on this - i hope you can sort it out - can the clinic not take a scanned copy via email or something - it just seems ridculous that with all this current technology nothing can be done.

Steph hun - wish I could do something to ease the pain you are going through and you have every right to be in a piss mood and we are here to listen to you rant and rave at any time.

Jen b - hey what a fab hubby you have - although suspect he probably drowned his sorries in the bubbles after that performance last night !!

Jen1d - hows things with you?? Guess you were rolling on the floor laughing at our result last night too!!

Pumma - thats good news - lets hope that they shrink in order to get rolling on that treatment.

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Becks you keeping a wee quiet this week ?? Not still welcoming hubby back are you

Well all work and no play this week---until Sat. Going out with a few couples on sat for an italian meal then a few drinks.

No appliction form from s/w yet. I emailed and they said they sent it last Friday---b------s. Told her i would email tomorrow if its not here--we'll see.

IM sent an email today and said they had reviewed our case and they feel we do not need anymore tests as everything is clear. They said the only test they could do is for sperm but given we always get a high result at the fertilization stage they dont want to do this or anymore tests. So we just have to contact them when we want to go ahead with FET.

Right i am whacked after 7 days of shifts so going to chill
