Ladies, you guys make me feel so good :). MBG - I can totally relate to feeling completely emotionally during the transfer. My husband & I just sat listening to the Embryiologist discuss the 2 embies he was putting back in and why he chose them & we got all choked up :). Good luck with your bedrest :), you better have a really good book!!!!!!!

hello!

Well I am on my second day of bedrest....how are all you other best rest gals hanging in? I still feel a little crampy and bloated....not sure if this is still from ER or if it is from ET.....anyone else having these symptons?

I have been reading a little and watching tons of TV....right now I am watching John and Kate plus 8....wow! Those two hit the infertility jackpot when they got prego with their sextuplets!! It is so cute watching all the kids and their different personalities!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Hi Ladies!
I am glad to hear everyone is doing well.
LAIVF - CONGRATULATIONS on your positive!!!! This is great news! It is so encouraging as others deal with the 2WW!!
I am so happy for you and wish you the best tomorrow too.

4ourbaby - I am sorry to hear about your news. That is odd that our dr would say such a thing right after the transfer!
I had similar results, they retrieved 24 eggs, 12 fertilized and we were left with 2 good ones and they aren't sure any of the others will be good enough for freezing. They were positive about it though as the main focus is having something to transfer this cycle. So, congratulations on having 3 transferred! I am surprised that they wouldn't just let you focus on that!

Dancinnancy - Congratulations on 10 fertilizing! Good luck on Wednesday!!!

TinaO - 70% is a great percentage!!!

MBG - I was watching John and Kate Plus 8 while doing my Christmas cards all afternoon! I would get a little choked up at the beginning of each episode where Kate says "so we did fertility treatments." My DH thought I was a little nuts.

Tina0 and Jane, MBG and everyone- it is interesting to hear all the different recommendations for bed rest. I was just told to take it easy the day of transfer and the day after. They said strict bedrest was not required but they did recommend staying at home. I am back at work today but I have a desk job (on a computer most of the day obviously) so they said that was fine. Someone else had told me they were told 4 days of bedrest though. This really frustrates me because I want to do what's right! Ugh!!!
Although, after laying on the couch all weekend, this is the first day in a really long time that I didn't mind going to work. :)
Also, I was told intercourse was okay 1 week after the transfer and didn't have any shower restrictions although I can't go swimming or take baths for I think 1 week too. Well, I can't workout until the pregnancy test.
It is interesting to hear everyone else's recommendations though. I am trying to be cautious and do what my doctors say and then some when I hear what you guys are doing.

We transferred two 8 cell embryos on Saturday. They didn't tell us the grade. Do you know the difference between grade A and grade B? It was funny, we weren't really emotional during the transfer. It was all so process oriented. But, then they gave me the picture of the 2 they transferred and I was so protective of it. I immediately framed it when I got home and had it next to me the whole day. As I look at it now, I think those could be my baby(s). My husband said one looked like a flower and the other looked like a dripping sand castle. I said that must be the girl and boy! I so hope that is true!!! I'll be happy with anything. I just can't wait to test and find out!

When is everyone testing? I don't go in for the official test until Monday the 17th. So, even though all this happened last week, I don’t get to test until 2 weeks from today. Is that what everyone else is doing?

Good luck to all with your bed rest (and upcoming transfer dancinnancy! and upcoming BETA LAIVF)!

itsgottawork-

Thanks for the good wishes! I really look forward to checking our little thread too & reading all of our different recommendations - so interesting.

I go in Wednesday for ET, as you know already. I will go for my b/w on Friday 12/14 - exactly two weeks from ER/fertilization. Which is strange b/c you're BETA is on the 17th, and you've already had your transfer. But, again, each place is different!

As for ET and bedrest, I was told to plan on 'taking it easy' for the rest of the day - but that's all really. THere is a healing arts center right next door that is affliated with my Dr & I'm going to head over there for an accupuncture session (which my Dr highly recommends). I plan on taking atleast a half day on Thursday morning, b/c my schedule on Thursdays is just plain hectic! So, I'll come in to teach one 40 minute class in the afternoon, and go home and take a nap.

Baby dust to all!

Hello!

Itsgottawork: I also find it very interesting, eveyone's different protocol!

I would not worry about it....just take it easy and follow your gut. I truly believe your body will let you know what you should and shouldn't do...you just have to listen to it! :D
So sweet about your embies...it is amazing! I haven't framed my pics but I have looked @ them every day wondering how they are doing!!

I hope you are blessed with your little boy and girl!! :)

I go back in on the 13th for my beta test...

Dancinancy: Good luck on Wednesday! I may have already wished you luck, but hey..you can't have enough well wishes right!!

Hugs and Babydust!!

Thanks dancinnancy and MBG! I think I'll be testing at home on either the 13th or 14th. I am not sure how long I can hold out!
And, the nurse actually recommended it. I said the 17th seemed very far away and I had expected an earlier test date and she said, if you want, you can do a HPT on Friday or over the weekend. With that kind of permission, I don't see how I could hold out! Plus, in a normal cycle, AF would be showing up on the 13th, so I would assume I'd know around then anyway.

Can't wait to find out about your BETA LAIVF!

Good Luck tomorrow dancinnancy and I hope everyone else is doing well on their 2ww! It is driving me personally a bit crazy! :)

Hello!

Just got the call from my embryologist. One of my cultured embies made it to blastocyst....so they are going to freeze that one. I was really hoping for more, but I will take what I can get....anyone else freezing remaining embies?

This wait is continuing to drive me crazy!

Itsgottawork: I too would test at home on the 13th! The suspense is torture! :)

:D CONGRATULATIONS LAIVF!!!! :D

I am so happy for you!!! That is a great number!

I wish the same for all!

MBG: I am hoping to freeze but it didn't seem all that promising when we went in for ET. They haven't told me yet what is going on with the rest of my eggs. I thought I was supposed to get a phone call but then I read something that said I will get a letter reporting what happens. Congrats on freezing one!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!! So thrilled for you, LAIVF!!! What a relief, huh????
Think there are twins in there???? :D :D :D You are indeed spreading good vibes - we have our first BFP!!!! :D

I just called to see if any of mine made it to freezing. We only had one other 8-cell, a couple of 5-cell, and a couple of 4-cell, so I am a little concerned!

Ok, I will type more later. Crazy busy at work!!

Hello ladies! Well, I was having a bit of a down moment today when I got the news that only one embie made it to freezing. I just really thought at least a couple would make it! MBG - what are your thoughts on this since you ended up with the same situation? I mean, I figured if this didn't work then we would do a FET, but now I don't know since there is only one. I mean, do women very often do a FET with just one? I know I should be thankful that there is one and I am. :) My husband and I talked for a while about it and he of course reminded me through my tears that I have no reason to worry because this is going to work! And you know, he is right. I have to take that attitude. So ladies, from here on out I am going to be positive. The nurse made it sound like it was no big deal because this was indeed going to work, so I know I need to keep that attitude. I don't want my imagination getting the best of me which it can do sometimes and I tend to over analyze everything! So, help me to stay positive! And in return I will help all of you!! :D :D

With that being said, I am feeling so nauseated for the last day or so. Are those side effects of the progesterone? I just feel sick to my stomach.

Dancinnancy - good luck with ET!!

How is everyone else doing??

LAIVF-

Congrats on your BFP my love! I feel as though we are all honorary Aunts to your little one(s)! You are proof positive that this will work!!!

Is anyone taking the Crinone progesterone gel? I've been taking it since ER, and each day I feel like I'm getting more and more bloated & I'm wondering if the gel is to blame. Guess I'll ask tomorrow when I go in for ET!

Am I the last to transfer in our thread??

Tina0 - you are feeling nauseas already? I would think that is a good sign that you definitely won't be needing the FET!!!
I agree that it is hard to tell what symptoms are from the drugs and what are from being pregnant. When do you go for your test? I think staying positive is important. Especially when you are getting good signs too!

I am doubtful that we will freeze any which is incredibly frustrating and we started with 24 eggs. In a booklet I got from the dr, it said that unless there are 3 or 4, they will hold off on FET until we can bank that many. I think our initial report said 2 or 3 might be (and they said that was a big maybe) worth freezing so I am pretty confident FET won't be an option for us yet and if this doesn't work, I hope to start IVF#2 as soon as possible.

dancinnancy - I am taking the progesterone injections now, but if I get a BFP, I am switching to the gel. I am not sure if the bloating is a side effect from the gel or more from progesterone itself. I have been more bloated this past week than ever before in my life. I am actually afraid to get on the scale because I know it is going to be ridiculously high and I just don't want to know. My stomach has just been off since the ER and the bloating doesn't help. I fear I actually look pregnant and I can't even wear some of my pants. It is no good.

Good luck on your transfer today!

Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well! I am cramping today and still feeling really nauseated. I really think it is from the projesterone shots. I don't want to ready anything into this! However, as I said yesterday, I am thinking positive! I heard someone say on another thread to think you are pregnant until proven otherwise, so that should be all of our plan!! Except you LAIVF - since you already are!!! Yeah! :D

Itsgottawork - I am right there with you as far as the bloating. My stomach has been messed up since the ER. I am thankful with my job, I can work from home a lot. I don't even want to try to squeeze into clothes for the office right now. I weigh myself every day though (force of habit) and have actually lost a couple of pounds, so don't worry - I bet you are in the same boat! It is just bloating!

Dancinnancy - how was ET!?!? Hope all went well!!! :)

MBG - how are you feeling?

4ourbaby & Jane Doe - where are you two hiding? Hope you are doing well!!!

As for me, looks like we are staying on the projesterone shots throughout and not being able to switch to gels or any other option. We had a little incident with one last night and somehow blood started pouring out after the shot. Freaked out my poor DH! :) But believe it or not, it doesn't hurt too much today. I think my poor hips are getting used to these shots!

Take care everyone. Keeping you all in my thoughts!
