Thanks girls for your support

Cant believe we are having some good news after so long. Just have to pray we get a donor and she doesnt drop out along the way. Hoping we dont need this and our FET comes up trumps though. Will keep you posted.

Had counselling today and she had me in tears again  but its fine, she is really good and digs in deep to help us, which it does.

Think of you all lots and take a peek now and again but its sometimes hard to log on. I promise i will be better in the new year

Hi :)
Just a quick update. The scan was all good. One little embie measuring 3.5mm (just over 6 weeks) and a perfect little hearbeat flickering away.
I feel so relieved, maybe I can allow myself to believe it now.
Will catch up more soon

Hi Everyone-

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome. You guys all seem so great and supportive of one another. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts... especially the crock pots and accents... lol.

Stephjim- hoping there's a BFP in the near future and no IVF to worry with!

Jen- congratulations on all the good news. Hopefully the FET will be successful, though!!!
Pumma- Congrats on the 12! Have you found out when the ET will be??

Steph- Congrats on the lowering numbers. Did you get tested every week after the D&C? Did it take a while to decrease?

As for me, I'm going in for BW tomorrow am, the first since the D&C last Friday. I made a ticker, but I kind of feel silly, being only 6 days post D&C... I just have to look forward, though. Already ready with a laundry list of questions for the dr on the next round (using 3 instead of 2? - the biggie). Got a little nuts today, saw a lady, whom I know is pg (natural) standing out in the cold smoking a cig! I don't get it.

Gotta suck it up tho, going to my folks this weekend to help take care of my 84 yo grandmother who fell & broke her hip last wknd. She's doing well, though, considering... plus it will get my mind off baby stuff.

Congrats to all the BFPs and hang in there 08 girls... our time is coming!!

Hope- don't you feel silly girl! I had one up just about the same time you did. I know it is hard and you will go through a rollercoaster of emotions...I still am! I had headaches after my BFP while hormones were changing then that leveled out and I was fine. After the D&C they returned after the 1st week or so....hormones again I think. As for my experience I was going to wait until at least May to try again when I started that cycle if I got a BFN, even the day of the D&C I still intended to wait. A few days later my focus changed and I wanted to start as soon as I could, I just needed AF to return. So that is my goal for now. I have no idea what # I was at the day of my D&C (6w6d). At 5 weeks (I think that was the day) my last blood draw to see rising #s it was at 1911. A week after (Monday) the D&C I was down to 191. The bright and early ER visit on the next Sat morn showed I was at 41. The Tues after that I was at 14 (that was 2 weeks and a day). The following Tues I was down to the 4. I bet I became negative (below 5) sometime between week 2 and 3. Let us know how your numbers go, trust me, it is frustrating, but it is nice to get the cheers from the girls here while you make progress....trust me it helps TONS! I also hope grandmama is feeling better!!! I swear it is the week of broken body parts!! We had an ice storm and my friend/coworker fell and broke her shoulder, ok granted just 34yo vs 84 but yikes!! A few other customers got busted up too!!! Crazy!

Su- OOOOOOHHHH so excited for you!!!! Did you get to keep any pics of peanut wavin at ya??? Now get some sleep ok, I know you have been quiet on Facebook ;)

Carolyn- yes I think it is the weather...that is what I keep telling myself at least! But in Angie's dream I am totally "all there". I know what you mean about having time to put the stuff in the crock, heck they say you can load it up the night before and put it in the fridge so it is easier....HA yea BUT I need to get that done the night before too hahah, I can't even do that! Tomorrow I am hoping to get some chicken chili in the pot before work tomorrow...weeee shall see! oh and why the heck have you driven that far???? It took me 35 minutes today to go 1 and 1/2 miles thanks to the LOVELY snow storm we had all afternoon evening!

Jen- glad counseling is going well, just think of the tears as healing juice, the more they flow, the more you heal! Remember 2008 babe!

Nims- If you come over for dinner I we'll get take out ok, promise! And a crock pot is a slow cooker thingie-ma-bob. Giant pot, you throw a lot of crap into (stew/caserole type stuff...or as I found out in my new cookbook CAKES AND GOODIES TOO!!!!). Maybe it is a US thing, I mean mine is at least, the plug won't work in your outlets :) Oh and why did you get a bag of presents for your niece??? Are you saying mom and dad love her more  Do ya think if you pilfered a few she'd miss 1 or 2 that she didn't know about  <evil laugh>

Becky- we love you, don't stay away too long

MY CRAZY ANGIE- THANK GOD you included that I could eat EVERYTHING in sight...did I have big boobs too? I'd really like tall, skinny, eat lots AND big boobies :) Oh and yes I have crockpotS too...Ok I only just got my second, but it is much bigger than the 1st so I love it lots...but like I said I just found out I can make dessert in it TOO so I am glad I can make dinner AND dessert at the same time!! BONUS!!!! Maybe I need a really small one to make a drink in too!! I like to get ideas from the cookbooks, but I'm never really good at FOLLOWING the rules...yup I'm a REBEL (a tall and skinny one with big boobs!). Ok, so the day after girl, I shouldn't mention the word tequilla now should I? Poppers/Slammers??? Were you up on the bar shouting from the rooftops??? Oh those were the days! Wait I can't remember those days well....just the day after.... :?

Jayne- poo on your SIL! So what she is that far along. You have the twins!!! OH AND you are tall, skinny, can eat EVERYTHING without getting fat and have big boobs!!! Your SIL, well she is just your SIL and doesn't have the beauty we have here on this board. You just worry bout you, and don't stress! Your little beanies will have WAY more attention than her munchkin....it will probly come out with a pointy head anyways

Well, I can't believe all the snow we got today! You'd think people would stay home, NO! I guess just us beautiful, tall, skinny, big boobed ones have those kind of brains!!! It took forever to get home...I work 5 friggen minutes from home!!!! But it ended about 8pm so I was able to go out and plow (ok ok Angie BLOW hahaha) the driveway and shovel the walk and stairs....not in my plans cuz I didn't think it would stop til like midnight, but nice to do tonite rather than 5am tomorrow! UGH...This was just our prep for Sunday's BLIZZARD though....oh joy. Maybe AF will show up to make it just a peachy weekend, but I'm not holding my breath, I'm not a DUMB, tall, skinny, beautiful big boobed chickie, no sir-ey!

Nite
Steph

SO -- there is this song that's called "Tequilla makes her clothes fall off" ---- talking about that's what happens when she drinks patrone (a brand of tequilla)!!!!! i was singing it LOUDLY to my dh as he was driving our drunk arses home!! :P :P

OK........and NOW, for the ALL ABOUT ME post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i get a call from my nurse yesterday asking when my meds are to arrive that i ordered from london ---- told her i was to have them by monday.....GOOD, she says....i'm like - what/why???? SO --------- my bcp's are done on tuesday (as in, this coming tuesday) and i'm supposed to let af arrive and we're going full speed ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is about a week'ish ahead of time as my doc apparently has gotten into some scheduling conflicts -- hence the need to manipulate MY schedule -- but WOO-HOO!!!! am soooooooooooooo excited!!!! ICSI/Steph - ok you two have officially lost it!! In my dreams, am I tall, skinny with big boobies - well actually the big boobies is true especially in the last few weeks

Still not getting this crock pot thingy megjiggy!! First I imagined it like a big caserole type dish like we have, but when you mentioned the plug, well that threw me! Don't you have stoves over there!! Sounds good mind you, throw everything in and get a cake out of it - fantastic!! :D I want one! Oh and a small one is even more fab - throw in a mixture of drinks and come out with a super cocktail!!

Su - you do like to keep everyone hanging on don't you!! I was getting worried but had to go to bed at 9 as was so tired so couldn't keep checking the site..... anyhow, thats fantastic news on the little one

ICSI - wwoooohooooo on your new schedule - thats so fab!! Come on Steph, get your act in order and join ICSI on the same schedule   Oh it so nice to start having some positive news again on this thread.

Hey, can't believe you had no hangover - thats just not fair - if that was me, I'd be talking to god on the big white phone all day!!

Hope - you sound really positive and with loads of PMA - keep it up!! Hope yr nan is ok - ouch with the hip!

Hey Jen - come and go as you please - you know where we all are and your not commanded to report in everyday but just let us know your ok every now again....oh and thats goes for Jen b, Carolyn b, and Becks - as no doubt you are stalking us every now again!

Keep us updated on how the advert goes for the DE.

Wishful - hope you are rested after you epic journey across the land!!

Well, I've been deserted for the w/end by hubby - he's gone to Geneva to visit a mate on the basis that I was going out tomorrow night with the girls - however I've changed my mind and decided to stay in and chill - party pooper I know, but its a night out in London going to swanky bars - I can't drink (not that I'm moaning) so I will watching every one else get pissed - I'd rather come home than stay at a mates just in case of anything.....and plus I'm knackered by about 9 and they would be just starting off! I don't think its going to go down to well with them though - haven't told them yet. oh, I can't fit into any glitzy outfits either - must be all the chocolate :D :D :D

Then just as I was dropping DH off at a/p - he mentioned that SIL just had a baby girl - don't get me wrong, really pleased but we were only 4 wks apart so brings it all back and now he has buggered off and I'm on my own this w/end - gee his timing is not so good! Also as I went quiet, he said that I cant ignore the fact - yeah I know, but please have sensitivity about it - duh!!!
Know that I'm fortunate to be pg again - but doesnt stop you thinking what if.......

on that note......... xxxxxxxx

ITS FRIDAY - YEEEPPPPPPEEEEEE

ps Steph - dont get lost in the snow - keep blowing!! x :D

nims ---- swanky bars in london sounds like a BLAST to me!! but hey, totally understand why you'd prefer to stay in.......hell i'm not even pregnant and i mostly would prefer to stay in!!! i've always said i'm like a 75 year old in a 30 year olds body!!! hey -- speaking of swanky bars --- TOTALLY curious --- is smoking as HUGE of deal over there as is becoming over here??? as in --- in the last few years is becoming VERY "taboo" thing to do.....banning it in lots "public" places - including bars in some states!!! while, in generations past (like my grandparents) -- it was totally the thing to do!!! my g-ma smoked during her entire preg w/ both my dad and aunt.......and neither of them smoke and neither of them were born w/ any abnormalities or sicknesses!!! Curious is all...........what happens over there?????????? I'm CURRENTLY not a smoker --- but will admit that i used to be.....and will admit one step further to say that i LOVED smoking......(please don't anybody get on a soapbox to tell me about the health hazards --- i'm WELL aware)...... and even WITH all the hazards --- it was just something i really enjoyed -- ESPECIALLY while drinking! But was something i stopped in preparation of getting my bfp!!! (back before round 1).....must say that while there are times i miss it --- mostly, it's not a big deal.....

ok -- crockpot (aka slowcooker).....here's what my friend wikipedia says:

A slow cooker is a countertop electrical home appliance that is used to cook stews and other dishes containing water at relatively low temperatures, with correspondingly long cooking times (several hours). Many recipes simply call for the ingredients to be put in the cooker with little preparation. The slow cooker can then safely be left to run unattended, making it a convenient cooking method.

i can't believe you guys don't have them over there!!!!!!!!! they are ORGASMIC!!!!!!!!!!!! :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

well ladies --- as nims always says --- being the jet-setter that i am on weekends (not-so-much......i really just don't have good internet access
at home :? ) i'll be off for the weekend!!! will miss you terribly!!!

You guys crack me up. I was literally LOL when I was reading about the giant boobs. I work with a girl, whom I am CONVINCED has has breast implants. She is about a size 2 and has boobs that will knock someone out if she turns around too quickly. So my gf and I had to come up with code; hence, her nickname = BGBs (Big Giant Boobs). However, I'm certain that she's got nothing on the killer knockers in this little group!

Su!! I must have missed you while you were online last night. I kept checking back to see if you had reported good news but didnt' see it until today. I am SO happy for you. I know that is a wonderful feeling! Relax and enjoy!! Looking forward to hearing more good news.

ICSI - Congrats on getting a head start on the cycle! I know you are excited. I have used Freedom Pharmacy for both of my cycles. They are PROMPT next day delivery. I've received meds from them 3x and it seemed even the FedEx guy was earlier than usual. I did some comparison shopping with other locations and they don't have bad prices either (bonus - espeically if you're paying OOP like me). Hope the snow doesn't slow 'em down.

Nim - Enjoy your weekend. I promise you I'm a bigger party pooper than you could imagine! It can be very theraputic tho, having a weekend alone, good time to catch up on some guilty pleasures! You deserve it! I had a moment with my DH today that was somewhat similar to the one you described. A little sensitivity does go a long way... hang in there!

Steph- I believe you about the rollercoaster. I'm starting to get nauseated from the ride! I was wondering about the headaches! I thought it was just from crying my eyeballs out that my head was throbbing. I'm glad that you decided to go ahead with another cycle right away. That is the one thing keeping me sane right now. And hopefully I'll just be a couple of months behind you! Oh, and thanks for the info on your betas. Sorry to hear about your co-worker, the shoulder? eek! Thanks for your support, you tall, skinny, eat-whatever-you-want, BGB-havin' rebel, you!

So, grandma (I call her "Sassy" - because, she IS - but she's a creampuff too! ;) ) She is doing better and going to be coming home from the hosp tomorrow. We're just going to have to get a little "drill sergeant" on her, making sure she does her therapy at home. We'll see how that goes!

Had my first bw today after the D&C. It was 500, which they said is good. My last beta, a week before the 1st U/S (which was a good one) was at 3057 and they said it probably went up quite a bit after that, so I guess it could be worse...? 500 is less than my first beta, so I'm encouraged by that. The nurse said some folks get stuck around 50-100 and go down 10 or so a week?? yikes. This could take a while. I'm gonna get a little mushy on ya for a sec - this has been my true therapy for the day. It's been a rotten day (just a random downslide on the RC) and your posts have brought a bright little light.

Gotta go pack a bag for the trip to Sassy's. I hope to get out of here before our snow/ice/rain mixture arrives. All you snowbunnies stay safe! See you when I get back from my little trip.

Hi all,

I just spent about the last hour reading through your messages (I'm at work) and I gotta say you all sound great but I feel totally silly cause there are so many of you with so much going on so I'm wondering how I'm ever going to remember everyone.

Looks like there's quite a few britts! I live in Denver (married a yank) but grew up in England and all my family are still there.

Reading through it looks like I'm at the same stage as at least a couple of you. I'm bleeding after a MC and have lots of questions about how long it will be before AF and how long til my Beta is negative, its useful reading about how its going for everyone else. My beta was 3650 Dec 2nd (official MC day) and 380 Dec 10th (confirmation by US).....will recheck next week.

I find it quite hard to have a positive attitude about FET. I'm scared the whole batch is bad. I know that sound wierd, but I was just so positive and then ecstatic when I got my bfp.......but I also knew something wasn't quite right........didn't feel pregnant at all (I have a 6 year old and there's no mistaking that pregnant feeling)

Please accept my appologies for not having a little something to say to each of you, but I'm trying hard to become familiar and don't intend to ignore anyone.

The crock pot thing....very funny....I love mine.....just did a pork roast in it yesterday......I'm all about easy and convenient!

with you all on the staying in and snuggling up on couch front ... meant to be getting ready for night out tonight - but delaying tactics coming to check on all my buddies - strictly come dancing and X factor are much preferable!!!

Even had a siesta this afternoon so will manage to last the night :D

Su - brill news on the scan :D

more personals tom - with thick head hangover - if only could survive the night and feel like you did ICSI after your tequilla blowout :D

Love to all
