Hi, BBdusts. You sure do have a lot of meds to take, huh? I am taking progesterone shots and I wear an estrogen patch that has to be changed every 72 hours. Other than that, there really is nothing else at this point. However, every RE is different so I suppose you have to trust what they are doing. My RE says my levels are "perfect" so I assume that is great news and whatever they are doing for me is working. I am sure the same can be said for you! :) You know, the funny thing is that I keep forgetting to ask exactly what they are as I don't know what they mean when they say they are perfect. Again, I guess you just have to trust them! :)

My best friend gave me a beautiful baby blanket last night and a little frog stuffed animal. Soooo sweet!!! I was so touched. Then one of my other best friends just had her baby yesterday and we went to see her today. Oh - she is so beautiful!! I got to hold her for a bit. I almost cried! Anyway, she gave me some pregnancy books and a t-shirt that says "baby". It was so touching!!! :D My friends are so supportive which is incredible. My husband has been such a doll, too. He was rubbing my belly this morning and telling the baby(ies) that he is going to be their dad and singing to them. :D

I have officially added a "ticker" as I am going to take a positive stand and say "There is no reason to be concerned as this pregnancy is going to work"!!!! No fears!!! Well, ok I have a lot of them....I mean, loads of them!!! But....I need to think POSITIVE!!! The results on Monday are just going to have to be excellent. Hopefully that will be the same for all of us that had BFP's! Let's think positive!!!

I am still having cramping pretty regularly. Anyone else?

Take care all!!

He;lo everyone!

I went in yesterday for my second round of BW....my betal is now 850! Very excited! I asked the nurse, since my numbers are so high, if they had any meaning....she told me that my RE has a gut feeling that I am having twins!!!!!! WOW!! We go in on the 31st for our ultrasound!

TinaO: Your friends sound so sweet! I have continued to have on and off cramping...I read somewhere that the cramping could be your uterus stretching....

Hi Ladies, how are you all?

I had 2nd beta test today, its 185. It doesn't double :( . I was freaked out and I am starting my HCG injection today and have told my DH that I don't want any more beta test. I can't take the pressure.

My DH called our doctor to make sure the increasing level is still within normal range. Our RE told us that as long it still in increasing trend, it shows the embries still viable. To reassure us, he told us that not everyone will have double HCG within 2-3 days. As long its double within 1.5 - 5 days, it is still ok. The most important examination will be u/s which is going to be in week 6. I have booked it on 31st Dec for u/s. From now on, I will just not think about the beta just yet.

Plus now I have problem of urinating quite often. Anyone else?

Will keep praying. :) :) Take care

Hello all! The worry never ends does it?? :? I woke up at 3 a.m. to of course go to the bathroom. Yes, that appears to be something I do every night some time in the middle of the night, too! Anyway, I could not fall back asleep as I just kept thinking about my Beta test this morning. I should hear something in the next 3 hours or so. I am so nervous!!! If it doubled twice which it should have, then I should be in the 1,200-1,300 range!!! I just don't know. It makes me a nervous wreck - all this waiting!!! The clinic closes down over Christmas, so my ultrasound won't be until after Jan 1st!!!! That is so far off!!! Anyway, I am going to stay positive and just know that the results will be good! :)

BBdusts - I know this is so agonizing and not hearing exactly what we want to hear is even worse, but hang in there. I have also heard that it takes some women up to 72 hours for theirs to double. Try to keep thinking positive!!! I will be praying for you!! :)

MBG - You go girl!! Your Beta looks awesome!!! :D I hope mine skyrockets today!!! Oh, please, please, please!!! Anyway, congrats girl!!! You are well on your way!!

How is everyone else??? I am praying your numbers also skyrocket!!!! Keep us posted and know our thoughts are with you!! :)

Hi Ladies!
I had to take a couple days away from the site. When I spoke with the nurse Friday afternoon, they confirmed that none of our embryos had been frozen (out of the 24 eggs to begin with!). They had never told me that before so that was new news. If this doesn't work, we will have to go through the ER again. I was hoping to avoid that next time. They also told me that I shouldn't think positively or negatively about the beta, that I should just feel neutral until Monday's test. Feeling neutral is definitely a challenge so I just needed to stay away for a bit.
I took the second test this morning. They said they should know within 2 hours and it has now been 3. I don’t see this as good news as I think they have to check with the dr on next steps if the number wasn't good. So, this is frustrating and I don't know how to be positive at this point. If the number doesn't go up, they said it will either go down naturally when I stop the progesterone or it could be ectopic. She said "and then, …, well, we won't go there for now." @#$@!!!
I am a person that likes to know what will be done either way and that is the second time they said "let's not go there" to me since this beta testing started.
Anyway, I do appreciate all your well wishes. TinaO, you have been amazing. Not just with me but with everyone. Thanks so much for sending all the examples of women getting low betas that go on to have healthy babies. That is definitely what I am wishing for! It is great that your friends have been so supportive of you! We haven't told anyone what we are going through. For the most part I am happy with that decision but sometimes I could use the support like that. Your friends sound very sweet. Good luck on a high number today!!!

(And I also was up at 3:00 AM to go to the bathroom. For the second night in a row. It is so difficult feeling like I have symptoms but being in limbo. Hearing others have the same thing though gives me hope!)

MBG- Congrats on your second high beta! If I had to guess (not that I am medically qualified in anyway), I'd say twins! Yahoo!!! That is great news!!!

BBDusts - Congratulations on your BFP! That is great news! And, your beta is definitely going in the right direction! I know it doesn't seem it, but that is definitely exciting!!!

Jane Doe - I am so sorry to hear about your BFN. I do hope you get time to relax and absorb everything before deciding what to do next. It is a tough journey and I wish you and your husband all the best as you plan your future.

Good luck with continuing high betas for everyone!
Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I get my phone call ASAP!!! :)

I knew if I posted, I would get the call soon after and that's what happened.
It's a chemical pregnancy for me. My number went down to 20-something. I can't even remember what she said I was so upset. I am at work today so it is pretty tough holding back the tears. It is going to be a long day.

4ourbaby - I will be right there with you trying again as soon as possible. I have to go in for bloodwork again on Wednesday to make sure I get my beta number all the way down to zero and hopefully AF will come soon. They said I need another AF before I can start again. Depending on the protocol, this means I might not start anything again until mid to late February. Ugh! I do hope it works the second time around!

Good luck to everyone! Thanks so much for your support. I hope you don't mind, I am still going to be checking in to see how everyone is doing. I am so excited for the BFPs and would love to continue to hear about your progress.

itsgottawork - Oh, I am so sorry. I am also at work and feel like crying for you right now. This infertility crap is the most difficult and trying thing and it just seems like it is a constant battle for us all. It just doesn't seem fair. It's not fair!!! I have such a hard time seeing how others can have babies so easily and those of us that want it so bad...don't get what we so desperately want. We know we will make great mothers. We just need a chance!!! It makes you question everything, doesn't it? But it is true that you have to have faith because it is amazing how many women go through this 3-4 times and then end up pregnant! It is hard to face that right now though I am sure. I don't know what to say because I know your heart is broken. I always hate when people throw random advice at me at times like this, so I won't do the same to you. You deserve to feel every emotion that comes naturally right now. Please know we are all thinking about you and hoping a baby comes some time in your very near future!! :)

As for me, I am still a wreck waiting on the results of my last Beta test. It never ends....

Hello! I finally got the call. My Beta is 1,971! :) Wow - it looks like it is doubling quicker than the 48 hours and is doubling in 37 hours. It is scary to still be nervous, but I am!!!! This process just makes you crazy!!

My ultrasound will be on Jan 2nd.

Whew....

itsgottawork: I am so sorry to hear your news. I am glad to hear you are going to try again as soon as you are able. I wish I had some comforting words for you, but I know no matter what I say, it will not take away your pain. Hang in there girl! I will keep you in my prayers.

TinaO: Yahoo!! on the beta results...your #'s seem pretty high as well...have you thought about the possiblity of twins? I bought a book on Sunday that describes all the stages of pregnancy for the mother and the baby...it is so crazy that we are considered 4 weeks pregnant! The emby already looks like a tadpole!!

hugs to all!!

MBG - we have the same due date!!! I noticed yours was Aug 20th as well. And yes, personally I think there could be twins. My husband thinks one, but I guess we will know on Jan 2nd! I will be 7 weeks by then! I think I am still in a state of shock....

Your ticker didn't come up. Did you copy and paste it over?
