Wow! we've been a busy bunch - that list was way back. Have I missed any updates?

nims - Good Luck for tomorrow, although you won't need it, everything will be just great I'm sure but I know how nervous you must be feeling.
Totally with you on the bb prodding, I'm still doing that, at least when I'm not rubbing my stomach 'cos its cramping

pumma - congrats on the transfer. what a day to be testing  Take it easy!

ICSI - hope you're all sorted with your meds now. btw I never used filter needles just a normal large one (green or pink) to draw up and little yellow to inject. Menopur can be given either intramuscular or subcut, I did mine subcut(1 liquid to however any powders), and didn't need to store in the fridge. Just check the leaflet as different brands are sometimes different.

Steph - hope you're keeping up with the snow clearing. You made me laugh imagining you clearing it twice then it all falling of the roof  Like nims said it's freezing here would love some snow to go with it. Just maybe not as much as you guys are getting  Our roads grind to a halt with 1 inch never mind several feet of :D

NIMS- This one is a long one haha....Can't wait to hear bout the scan....will be thinkin bout ya!!!! Especially since I will probly be up alllll night thanks to the gimongo iced coffee I was drinking all day (yeh yeh I know, ICED during the winter...I'm just odd like that in case ya'll haven't figured it out yet  )

I can't believe your coworkers stared at you like you were crazy when you showed em the crock-pots...tell em it isn't nice to thing you are a strange bird :P Oh wait did you tell em it is your friends across the way that inquired and it wasn't some odd contraption you found while flitting away on the internet AT WORK

Yes we have (in my terms) a buttload of snow. I'd be glad to send some your way...plenty to go round! And oh yeh, so magical when your dark blue car is now grey from all the salt/sand/crap on the ground, when you tread thru sludge that falls off cars in the parking lots, and all the yellow spots from where the doggies do their thing day and night :D And don't ferget that gratifying...I'm all done shoveling to hear WHOOOOOOSH CRASH and hope to H#LL you get outta the way fast enough that you don't wind up buried under a pile of snow...ugh! I LOVE IT :) I drive a very large SUV and I can't even back out of my driveway without creaping ever so slowly b/c of the snow drifts and piles from the street I can't see around em!!!! No we don't usually get this much so early, that is why I'm totally dreading it this winter!!! The first year we moved out here we had a big winter, but I really didn't care back then...I didn't have to shovel the crap then hahaha.

OOOOO yes the hottie intern! SLURP! When intern is home, Stephie gets to play...no stalking required! He's ready, willing, and able...hey there is no drooling smilie on the board here! Ok just picture one here!

As far as AF goes...I kinda got some odd cramps today at work in the uterus area...am I just over analyzing? yeh probly :) Still hurry up/wait and see  Driving me nuts...but competition is good....I'm competing with Angie...you know how they say girlfriends tend to cycle together...I'm hoping that since she is supposed to start soon that she will drag my body in with here hahaha...ok so maybe it only happens with girls who actually spend time in physical contact with each other and cyber friends probably don't count, but a girl can dream right  I think my new IPod will arrive via FedEx before AF gets here!

Ok whew, that is all fer you, now on to the next person hehe

Stephjim- that is awesome AF showed up...could you mention to her that I live in NH and I'm desperately awaiting her visit too....

Becky- hi ya! yeh quickies are nice...hey I take what I can get these days  hottie intern or not

Pumma- how the 2ww is moving along....Christmas will be here before you know it and so will your BFP!!!!!

Hey you guys are gettin up soon!!! HAPPY MORNING TO YA!!!! I'm still buzzing from my coffee....what the hell was I thinking!!!

Steph

Dear All

Just wanted to say sorry for being MIA. I have found it very hard since my 5th negative to pick myself back up. Needed some time away really and to figure whether we carry on or call it a day. We will likely do another cycle with donor eggs and TESA for my husband in the New Year although when I look at the meds I am not sure that I can go through it all again.

Thanks as always for all your support. You are fab and amazing ladies. Ecah and everyone of you.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Xmas and that 2008 will bring everyone what they so wish for. Will be back next year to chat with you all for sure. For now just plan to make the most of Xmas and try not to think about tmt too much at all. Know that you will understand.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

hi all!!!

thought i better come on here to update you as i know some of you have been asking how my scan went. 20 week scan last week went very well...baby is very healthy albeit on the small side. and we found out its a girl!!!! so lara, i've joined you!! woohoo!! although she's on the small side she's still absolutely fine and not too small for what she is meant to be. as i'm quite small they said its quite expected. so all good.

rachel - how you feeling?? wow, we're over half way...time just flies by!!

icsi, su, steph, nimble - you're all completely mad. but i love it!! you're so funny!!!

carolyn - of course we all understand. thank you for your pm. take time out and we'll all be here when you get back. if you need anything just pm me...i'm not far from you! xxx

nimble - best of luck for your scan today. have been thinking about you all day. cant wait to hear your good news that you saw lovely heartbeat(s).

icsi - dont worry about the ampules. like welshbugger said, ours also had a dot on to show their weakest part so you know where to snap. we just used a cloth to hold over it to snap it. best of luck my dear!!

pumma - hang in there girl!! not long till that BFP!!

welshbugger - good to see you. thanks for your reply, will reply soon!

hi to everyone else!!! i've been signed off work this week as we had a car accident on saturday. we were just on our way out to my work's christmas dinner (black tie and all that) and some young lads pulled out on us (we had right of way) and hit us head on. their car (a smaller car) is a complete right off. our car is pretty damaged but probably not a right off. so we ended up spending the night in A&E at the hospital. me strapped on a hard board as they thought i may have hurt my spine. the hospital then put us through an awful dilemma as they suggested to have my lower back x-rayed. i needed 3 x-rays, one for my lower back, one for my upper back and one for my neck. the last 2 were no problem but the lower back one was the one that potentially could harm the baby. i hadnt cried until that moment as i didnt know what to do. the doctors advised to go for the x-ray and said i should put myself first before the baby. yeah right. as if. dh and i had a talk and a few tears and i decided to refuse the x-ray. i've been through too much to chance any damage to this baby. i told the hospital (although they werent very happy) that i would rather lie there for the next 4 months without moving and have a c-section then chance any damage to the baby. i was told after that by a nurse that she completely understands and that there is a HIGH risk of damage to the baby in your 2nd trimester. cheers for telling me!

so anyway, cut a very long story short...we're all fine. i have a touch of whiplash and have trapped a nerve in my arm, which means i dont have full use of my left hand but that is pretty irrelevant when all i was concerned about was the baby. and she's dandy and fine! what a weekend!!

so just at home this week taking it easy and recovering from the shock more than anything. friday evening we're going to see grease in london (west end) so very excited. then xmas next week! yey!

lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of sticky baby dust to all!!!

xxx

wishful/carolyn ---- OMG!!!! i just looked up gary rhodes restaurant online and it is STUNNING!! it looks beautiful!!! and while i think it would be a nice "treat" if my boss were paying ---- is not the kind of place that i generally frequent if you know what i mean!!! i'm much more of a SWANKY BAR kind of gal!!! but wow!! too cool!!! hoping based on the price that somebody will be paying for you??? boy --- do i sound like a cheap beeaaattcchhh or what?????? again -- give me a swanky bar any day!!! HAVE FUN!!!

carolynb ---- awwwwwww, sweetie.....so good of you to drop by  Cheers to you and dh for a happy holiday season and may we all get our BFP's in 2008!!

shantala!!!!! a baby girl!!!!!! so very excited for you and dh :P a darling little angel to wrap daddy tightly around her little finger! have you any names picked out?? ****** WHY IT MUST BE GREASE LIGHTENING!!!!! WE GO TOGETHER LIKE RAM-A-LAMA DING-DONG!!*** i'm jealous...........you guys and your fab evenings out!!! sorry to hear about the accident -- how scary that must have been :? what were those lads thinking by pulling in front of you???????? had they been drinking it up???? doesn't matter i suppose........the good thing is that you and baby are ok......

nims --------- **********STILL WAITING*************** hope all is ok sweetie!! :P

SO ------- need your advice ladies........am trying to determine whether or not to tell my (female) boss about my ivf stuff?????? I'm afraid i've waited too long to tell her as i have taken last bcp today and expecting af's arrival by end of week.....so i hate to go in there all "oh yeah and it's all starting this week!!" nice that you let me know AHEAD of time ang -- why bother???  anyway......if it were me (if i were the boss) -- i would want to know......so everything in me says TELL HER --- but am so fearful of bfn (and not that i'm a pessimist -- cuz ya'll know otherwise!! i've got the best attitude ever about it....but still, have been thru one bfn........it could well happen again) --- and having to share that as well :-( kind of a sucky place to be emotinally...........your thoughts??????????

sorry girls for the late post, but got locked out of the house!! The key broke in the lock so running around trying to get a spare key from parents and some tweezers but as you can see we managed to get in without having the police called on us for suspicious behaviour........

anyway on to the good bit.......had scan this morning, boy, i haven't been such a nervous wreck ever, DH didn't sleep a wink all night so looked like he had been out on the town all night......one little beanie measuring 9mm with a strong heartbeat and they were really pleased....boy so was I  so much in fact that I still cried! She said that beanie was a little bigger than average but that was good. She also gave me some scan piccies so i can sit here and stare at my little jelly bean - I know, i know, can hear the "I told you so...." We go back for another scan on the 4th Jan (9Wks). Currently 6wks & 4 days and get this, my due date is 08/08/08 - how cool is that!!

will be back later for personals after done the dinner!!!
