hi sleepy heads!!! got home from hell...uh work. Damn WHY do I get those 2 so confused???

I keep going back and forth wondering if I was too soon or not. It was a good sign what the office said, my body is giving good signs, it is just so weird. I have POAS like 45 times today...the early morning ones were the darkest and the last one tonite was pretty light :( but at the same time, I have NEVER gotten a dark line at night and I had peed like an hour and half prior to that. I will of course try again in the morn and see how it is. I'm just so nervous!! I still feel my ovaries doing their thing and I know that is a good sign...AAARRGHHHH!!!! Can you tell this 2ww is gonna SUCK!!!! (Ok maybe the 10-12DAY wait hahaha)

I will check back in tomorrow night after work (about 8pmish)...I know ya'll (heheh that one's for Hope) probably have more of a life than I do and will be off having fun!

Night night
Steph

Hi Ladies-

I'm so excited for you guys, Steph & Angie!!! Angie, 5 little embies!! That is very cool!!! You may have that footie team after all!!! Keep us all updated on their progress!!!

Steph - Sounds like you're all pee'd out! Quit POAS! :) Even if you're early, those little spermies are gonna hang around and wait if they need to!

You guys have done the hard work, now you get to sit back and relax (heh, I know how easy THAT is!) Well, you can try, anyway! Snuggle up and rest (I know, after work, Steph!)
Image

Su, Very cool to hear things are going smoothly at work. I guess no matter what we do, we'll always have critics - glad to hear you have a good attitude and aren't letting other people get you down!

Angel - I'm sorry you're going through this, I'm sure the cold doesn't help! And don't you feel one bit silly. We're here if you need support or if you need to vent or cry or whatever. Do what you need to... the housework can wait! Take care of you! You are definitely in my prayers, sweetie. Big hugs to you! Image

Well, I think it's time to turn in for the night. Busy weekend ahead (our weekend with my stepsons). I was the evil, wicked step-mother on Tuesday (release the flying monkeys!)and took away middle son's Guitar Hero due to his nasty attitude problem. We'll see if this weekend goes any smoother...

Not my strongest virtue, but I'm working on it...

orning ladies - been MIA for a few days and have like 6 pages to catch up on!!!

Icsi - fab news on 5 fetilised - loved the bit about porn star DH doing his bit - bit of useful info but did you know its against the RAst culture for jamacians to jack off :) Good luck for Tuesday x

Steph - PUPO - ... yeah - well done to you going to work late - have you cleared the shelves locally for all the POAS??

Angie - glad all went well with operation - lucky you getting now - down south we had about 3 flakes and it was over!!

Rachel - sorry you are feeling so shitty again - I know this cold/flu virus is pretty nasty and lots of people are struggling to fight it off - your little fighter is well snuggle in and will be fine - although its only natural and part of the job to worry!! x

Jen - hope FIL is improving - it all sounds pretty streeful - sending you and Dh big hugs((()))x

SU - nothing like a bit of gossip at work to find out who your true friends are! - glad most of them are supporting you - the rest are probably just jealous that you are emotionally strong enough to go this alone - and that it was actually planned - hope infection is nearly gone x

Hope - lets hope the patience motto pays off and helps you keep calm this weekend with stepsons - how many do you have and what ages?

Shantala/Beachbaby/Nimble - how are all you mummys?

Pumma and Angel - in my thoughts - take all the time you need and we are all always here to listen to your rants ((()))x

Hi to all those I missed x

Not much happening our end - decorations to come down this weekend, go to gym - usual January excitements - well might get on internet and look for a holiday - need something to look forward to- LOL - well aopart from opur next treatment cycle - nothing planned yet - think will be April/may time x

Love to all and lots of grow embies grow for ICSI and swim spewrmies swim and then get fertilising for Steph x

Love Carolyn xxx

morning all!

wow, this thread is so so busy!!!

NIMBLE - WHERE ARE YOU HONEY???? i hope your scan went well yesterday. i emailed you and kept checking on here and no news so really worried now! i'm sure you're probably just celebrating that everything went well but pop in when you can!

angie - woohoooo!!!! 5 is great!!! congrats and best of luck for ET and the dreaded 2ww!!

steph - excellent news on your surge although it all sounds so uncertain...hope the timing is right for you and you're up the duff very soon!

angel - so sorry you're going through this. take time to grieve and you know where we are. dont worry about things like the housework, i know its a pain but be good to yourself!

welhsbugger - hey hun, glad the op went well but what a bugger you have to go back again!! glad you're ok though and hope you're resting!

lara - hey hun, yes we're doing well after the accident thanks. sorry to hear you have a cold again. your immune system must be crap! excellent that you've got some money for the bedding etc. we've just started decorating the nursery...it's all getting very exciting. i just still cant believe that tmt has actually worked! dont think i will believe it until she's here!!

su - glad work has calmed down now. and how funny about your work colleague's reaction!

hope, wishfull, beachbaby and everyone else - hello!!!!!

as for me, doing ok....we've just started decorating the nursery. we bought two colours and decided on one which really matched with the bedding and border whereas the other one clashed. so i got in from work yesterday and dh took me very excitedly up to the nursery to show me he'd put on the wrong colour!!! the one that clashed!!!   so i told him but soon said that we could leave that colour on there as it looked fine. he knew i was lying though so we had to go back over it with white and then started putting on the right colour. poor dh!!!

anyway, lots of sticky baby dust to you all!!!

Hi ladies,

Jen1, hope DH father is getting stronger, hugs to you all, take care.

Angel, i am so sorry please know we are here for you when you are ready, hugs to you and Dh.

steph, way to go on the 2ww again, congratulations and good luck. we got a little snow in the north east on thursday but due to being on the coast the salt air had melted it all by lunchtime. just wet and soggy now.

Angie, congratulations on the fert rate, excellent going, hope you have plenty to choose from on transfer day. Rest up this weekend make sure you get Dh running around after you.

becky, glad the op went well, hope your fighting fit again soon, sounds very painful, have a friend with issues in the same area, and had an op a few years ago, she used a rubber ring to sit on, helped greatly. Oh and on the pram issue i'm only having 2 not 4.

Su, glad all has calmed down at work, who cares what others think its your life and all the people who matter to you are supportive and that is all that counts. nearly at double weeks already, keep it up.

shantala/rachel, wow your both steaming along there, getting the room ready must be so exciting and finally making the dream a reality.

Hi to all i've missed, am pretty useles these days at remembering.

as for me all ok so far, will be 12 weks tomorrow, and am going for a nuchal scan on Wednesday, so fingers crossed all is still well. have my first consultant app on the 18th at the local hospital, i will be having mixed care due to having twins and my clotting problem so i am classed as higher risk. as if its not been hard enough so far, will the worry never end.
anyway better go do some more work. catch you all soon.

Morning Ladies :D

ICSI: Now didnt i tell u that you would have enough for a '5 a side footie team' - just remember u heard it here first lol!! Duh im good lol. So pleased for u hun, so glad things are working out well for you xxx

Shantala: So good to hear from you hun. I noticed that u changed ur facebook piccy - its beautiful, ur doing really well and blooming (as i knew u would!) Lol @ the nursery colour, it will look beautiful, especially when u have baby in there - u wont care wot colour it is lol. Hugs to u and my baby cyber god daughter lol xxx

Wishful: I wish i was looking online for a holiday, altho DH did mentiont hat we were gonna start saving for a hol in Jan next year - skiing - the girls are up for it, as is bro and sis in law (they go every year) but like i said - im having my tmt in July/Aug, i mite want summit a bit more relaxing lol. Hope u get summit nice and a bargain

Rachel: So sorry to hear ur full of that stinking cold again hun :( It can be a bummer, seems to be going around everyo9ne - but worse for u ladies who get it as u cant really take much for it. I do hope it clears up soon and that ur relaxing and putting ur feet up untill it does xxx

Steph: I really dont have a clue about this IUI, but should get geared up on it as my friend (she is on the list - Andreak) is doing it this Feb, and i know she will be on the phone most nights lol - i dont know what CD 1 or 21 means? I always think of music when u say that lol. Anyway, i assume ur 'ripe' and 'ready' to roll - i pray that it works for u, im dreading ur 2ww tho lol - ur mental enough as it is    xxx

Hope: I love ur description of the wicked stepmother (release the flying monkeys hahahaha!) i'll have to remember that one when im being the wicked mother - these things have to be done, they have to learn, and if they want it to be the hard way - then so be it lol. I always wonder how hard it is for DH as he is the 'stepdad' but i think its easier on him as the girls dont see their real dad - he stopped bothering with them a long long time ago (his loss) and they look upon DH as their dad now, my eldest even got up and made a speech at our wedding saying how she is so glad that we are now a proper family, and that my DH is now her proper Dad - had everyone in tears! Do ur stepsons live with their mum?

Su: As for who u can and cant trust - then thats a bummer that ur friend grassed on u, but as u say - u learn as u go along! And if everyone is accepting it (or even if they are not) then tuff - its u that matters in all this... And look at what ur getting in Aug (by the way - if u hang out untill the 9th, its mine and my daughter birthday then too) best day to be born on lol - a lovely Leo the lion - nice and cuddley lol

Angel: Listen to me hun - u are NOT over reacting - far bloody from it. You are greiving hun, no matter what anyone tells u, u are greiving for the babies u feel u lost. I was exactly the same - i felt that i must be hopeless and would be a shite mum if i couldnt even look after my DH's babies for 2 weeks let alone the rest of their lives! I felt i had let him down, myself down and most of all - i had let my babies down. They are not just embies - they are babies, they are just as Precious! So u take all the time u need. Things will get better hun, and we are here for u during the bad times and the good, so dont feel bad about saying how u feel - thats what we are here for ok xxxxxx

Jayne: Hiya hun - i know ur having 2 and not 4 lol - i did put in a double buggy for u - i just put up the 4 for a laff - sorry iof u took it the wrong way lol, but the 2 was meant for you  xxxx

Well ladies, hello and hugz to everyone ive missed xxxx I got the DVD 'Knocked up' last night - Was funny - but think it might have been a bit too much for me - after the 'op' and feeling a wee bit down, maybe my hormones are all over the place i dunno - but i was kinda upset and gutted that it can happen to women all over the world like that - a one night stand and here is us lot having to go thru hell and back! Bloody typical isnt it! So i had a wee cry, then a smile and told DH roll on July/Aug cos it IS gonna work this time :D isnt it ladies????????????

Finally made it back on here – darn work!!! just don’t get the time and too knackered when i get home !! Thought these 3 days after new year would be a breeze and I would get lots done – more fool me for thinking that !!

Jen1d – so sorry to hear about your FIL, I really hope he gets better. Sending you both big hugs.

Steph – you'll be fine honey - your stick showed a surge plus the swimmers can last up to 72hrs so they are settling in for a good olde party with your eggies - sending aload of PMA across the ocean for you girl - now dont work too hard either !! Image

Su – hope your feeling better with the sinus infection – that’s not pleasant at all. As for your work colleagues, well they can get stuffed – its noones business except yours and yours alone!!

How could you put yourself on the roster for august – you’ll be too busy looking after you lil one!!

ICSI woo hoo that’s fantastic girl – 5 embies is a great number – hey don’t worry about that girl who was next to you – your embies will be so much better!! Wow, don't think i could cope with the stress of waiting 5 days for them to come home - you girls are so lucky over there that you have no regulations on how many you put back. Fingers crossed for you hun.

Angel – sorry to hear about your AF arrival – the *****!! Hey, the way your feeling is completely justified and you lounge around for as long as you and feel as sorry for yourself for as long as you like too!! It’s hard both emotional and physically so take time to deal and if it means sitting in PJ’s then that is what must be done!!!

Hope – know what you mean about work – yuck – next week is going to be harder – a full 5 days back – help I need a holiday already!
There is apparently a sick virus going around the UK – so sounds like you have it over there too

What is the quasi-diet? I hate the gym in January – everyone goes and you can’t get on a bloody thing, thankfully by Feb, most are bored!!

Becks darling so pleased that the op went well, but sorry to hear that they couldn’t get it all in one go – you’ll have to get one of those blow up ring cushions for your little derrière

Carolyn – oh holiday planning – uuummm hope its for somewhere hot!!

Jayne – congratulations on your 12 wks – must be a relief to get past that and good luck with the nuchal scan too – are they taking bloods too ? Apparently my hospital takes blood with the scan – but not sure what they test exactly but helps gives the scan result ??!!

Shantala - sorry for worrying you and just got your text and sent one back!! will be more prompt on my updates in future  DH bless them, they never can seem to get it right can they - but you were a sweet heart for lying!!

CarolynB - saw from your ticker that you on round #6 - I'm praying hard that this time you will get your BFP - lets hope that 2008 is a lucky year for us all - think of you xx

JenB - how are you - hope you had a good hols and wait to hear what you're up too.

Rachel - you are suffering a bit with this cold you poor thing - think you need to wrap up in cotton wool and not venture out again til spring!!

Had my scan yesterday morning and they did an external one but still got to see beanie and a good heartbeat. It measured 23.5mm and they have given me some scan piccies to keep although I can't make head or tail which way round it is!! It was wriggling around too which was great to see. So they have discharged me and I phoned the GP yesterday and have my initial midwife appt on Monday so its getting a little more real and I'm starting to allow myself to think ahead a little.

Hi to anyone i've missed xxxx

OOO must have been a slow Saturday  Nothing exciting to do that is why ya'll were here posting :P

Nims- damn that work! I HATE when it gets in the way of my social life! We don't even get internet at work...GOD forbid I want to look up any drug info, not like I'd have anytime to check my email and these boards!!! That is sooo awesome about your latest scan!!! Now you guys see a GP? Is that the way it goes? I'd never let my GP deal with me and baby, I want an OB...I bet my GP wouldn't even know what to do hahaha. I really hope that is my surge and my body wasn't playing tricks on me. I'll be so sad :( But I like yur pic...is that mine

Becky- Oh I wanted to see that movie too, but then I was like how am I gonna find it humorous that she has a 1 night stand and winds up pregnant? I don't friggen think so!!! So, I think we need to make up our OWN movie...we will call it "we got knocked up, too damn it and we didn't do it acting like a whore". Yeh I know it is long, but we can work on that later. As far as the IUI thing, yeh it is way different that is why I am so lost on the IVF stuff haha. CD isn't my music collection, it is "cycle day". But if it is any consolation, I now only have 13 more days to wait  I just feel like CD 11 to get my surge is so dang early!!! I haven't gotten my surge before CD14 before (and then I thought THAT was early!!). Where is Andrea...she is awfully quiet :P

Shantala- nope there isn't anything the clinic could do. I'd have to pay for blood work to see if I did O or for an US...then at that point if I truly didn't surge and O then I'd have to use another vial (DS =$395 a vial) plus the procedure is $350. It would be soo much easier if I had a hubby to do his part haha.

Jayne- 12 weeks!!! that is so quick!!! Wish I could have sent you snow instead of yuck...to me it is like when it snows and is so beautiful then about 2-3 days later the sides of the roads etc have turned to black crappy mess...makes me love breathing that good ole fresh air haha.

Carolyn- found any vacays yet??? Can I go with ya?

Rachel- I've started my 2nd box of O sticks...I'm just still nervous! I had 2 boxes in stock though since after my D&C. Pretty soon I will need HPT sticks to buy...so long as I don't get a different answer on my O sticks :( You need to rest up and get rid of that cold...work will just have to get over it

Hope- thanks for the encouragement! I just suck though when it comes to those sticks!!! They are kinda like Tiffany carat diamond earings...granted I wouldn't pee on those, but they are so fun to look at Image
I can't believe you took away Guitar Hero!! haha OMG I sooo suck at that! I played it once I got booed off the stage like 47 of 48 times haha. Did you take it away to practice hahaha.

Ok well dinner is done, and my nice warm bed is calling me so I can go to hell again tomorrow...ARGH I mean work! I haven't really had any O pains all day except maybe 1st thing in the morn so I HOPE and PRAY that is a good sign Image

Nighty Night

steph --- have you forgotten that you are the POAS QUEEN?????? i'm sure you're timing was PERFECT!!!......don't worry sweetie :-) at this point, you getting worked up about it is only gonna cause unnecessary stress....... so just -- oh what's that george michael song "cuz ya gotta have faith"!!! hope work went well..........now chill out a bit!!

beck --- OMG, i know....i just watched knocked up a couple weeks back and if you dig back thru all my posts --- you'll find one almost identical to what you typed here!!! is so unfair at times.......i was in tears watching that one --- i liked the movie, but damn the bad luck!!!!

shantala --- hi sweetie!! it was so good to see one of your "colorful" posts --- took me back to the days where that was "your" signature post!! i absolutely cannot believe how far along you are!! so what colors are the nursery anyway???????

nims --- we'll give ya a break on not posting as much as you used to.... i can only imagine how knockered you must be after working AND doing the momma thing!! how very exciting that you scan went so well!!! just couldn't be happier for ya hun!!

hope ---- de-ja-vu reading your post!!!! i've been going round w/ my youngest step-son as well --- and guitar hero has been my leverage too!!!! pretty funny!!! is like its the only thing i can get him to respond to!! well, that and the girlfriend privaleges!!! talk about evil step mother!! ha, ha, ha!! just try taking girlfriend time away!! slamming doors..... attitude like you've never seen before!! yeah, you talk about "patience" -- cute story...i was in grocery store buying TONS of stuff for holiday gathering (at my house) and was using one of those self scan check outs -- lady got in line behind me w/ a little girl about 2 and she's all "mommy, when will it be our turn????" and mom started humming a tune and all of a sudden little girl broke out in song --- "have patience, have pateince, don't be in such a hurry" --- and it went on, but it was just the sweetest damn thing!!!! and now every time i'm in a yank over something - i just try to remember that little girl singing.......so sweet!!!

hey jayne!! how are ya girl??? WOW - 12 week scan already! how are them babies doing????? do you guys have names picked???

carolyn/wishful --- OMG, are you serious???? jamaicans don't jack-off??? i think my dh (and my 2 teenage step-sons) would surely EXPLODE!!! ha, ha, ha!!!!! i never heard that before..........gee-whiz, not like it's a "bad" thing!!

rachel -- fab news on dh's dad sending money for cot and bedding!! i can only imagine (am hoping will soon be dealing with it myself!!!) how it all must add up so fast!! (the expenses for baby)........worth EVERY penny!!

ok - think i got everybody!! so i got all my christmas decorations taken down from my MAIN floor of house......then watched a bit of hockey game (go wings!!) and took a little nap....then dh took me out to dinner -- went to outback steakhouse and OMG --- got there and the wait was about 45 min.....and the gal taking our name was all "it probably won't take that long --- things have been moving very quickly" -- so we decide to stay..... yeah --- 1.5 hours later we were FINALLY sitting down to order dinner!!!!! ugh! we would not have stayed had we known that long to begin with!! anyway - dinner was good and i had a GIANT beer -- woo-hoo for me!! dh and i toasted to my last weekend of being able to drink in hopes that soon i'll be knocked up!!! also doc's office called today --- i got a little worried when i saw it was them on caller id (do you gals have caller id on that side of pond???? is the greatest invention EVER!!!) anyway..... i rush to the phone, only calling to confirm what time i am to be there on tuesday and what all meds i'm supposed to be taking between now/then... i asked if she had update on my precious little em-babies and she said no -- damn it!! she was very nice...but just said the lab is usually "out of touch" on the weekends unless emergency......well fine.......so tomorrow i will finish getting decorations put away -- from the basement....and also going grocery shopping so i can prep food for the week in anticipation of needing to be off my feet!!! woo-hoo!!!

is about it for me.....been a long day - eventhough i had a nap!! i think it's the BIG BEER getting to me -- am ready for bed!! bye-bye girls........ not sure i'll be on tomorrow, but monday for sure!
