WHY do I do this??? I POAS again this morn and it was darker than yesterday  NOT equally dark, but why is my body doing this??? So far no twinges like I am O'ing so I am hoping it really was all said and done the other day. Then again if I did O today or tomorrow there might still be a chance...spermies would only be 48 hrs today at noonish...
Image

And Angie I'm taking it as a sign that just as I'm sitting here with my laptop in front of tv...a new tv show ad comes on...guess what the song is??? 'You gotta have faith, faith, faith!" :D

hiya gals

steph - we don't have OB as such over here - but have midwifes - so have to speak to my GP who then gets the midwife to ctc me - bloody complicated but no they don't deal with us directly so to speak. I'm sure hun you'll be fine, - i think its the case you wee'd so much that there wasn't enough surge left to show on a poas!! so when you slept, you saved it all up again hence why its dark - well thats my theory and i'm sticking to it    As Angie says have some faith in yourself gal!!

Angie - yep have caller id but have to pay an additional cost - dh too tight so don't have it, wish I did and then could screen my in-laws calls    he he he

2 more sleeps to go and then your babes will back home and then its no more big beers for you !!

Not much to report on - took down all the deccies yesterday and went shopping for pg bra - apparently not susposed to wear underwear bras - anyway went to M&S - have to say the choice wasn't too exciting and any hopes that DH had for sexy underwear went completely out of the window - why can't they make nice nonwired bra's!! Got a bargin though - brought a dress not in the sale - think the barcode was wrong and paid a fiver for it - did question it and the lady at the tile said must be a sale item - so at that point I kepted quiet  !!

nimble - excellent news about your scan. dont worry about worrying me! although you did!! i took my xmas tree down today too and dh took down all the xmas decs a couple of days ago. whats this about you're not meant to wear normal bras?? :? :? i've gone up a cup size and have just bought a normal bra the next size up. anyway, bargain on the dress!! i'll go shopping with you next time then! best of luck for tomorrow!

steph - love the picture of the toddler and dog....lol. oh what a bummer about the fact you have to time it so perfectly, otherwise a whole vial is down the drain! but as angie said, you're the POAS queen so i'm sure you have got it right.   about the jamaican thing that you missed. i was thinking the same.....what kind of posts have we missed???

rachel - hope you're starting to feel a bit better hun. x

jen1d - any news on your fil?? hoping he's ok...xxx

carolynb, jenn....where are you girls?? hope you're both doing well...

hi to everyone else!!! so, got the nursery painted with the RIGHT colour (hehe) and have now put the border on. so next job is to find some carpet to match. in the meantime, not sure if you remember, we're currently having our downstairs hallway and bathroom extended...our house is so mini and an extension to the front of the house makes all the difference (it looks like a porch from the outside). so lots of mess everywhere....the only decent room at the moment is the living room as even our bedroom has all the new bathroom suite in plus the nursery furniture!! have the plasterer coming tomorrow so the bathroom suite should be out of our bedroom and in the bathroom by the end of the week. finally we're getting somewhere. anyway, in the meantime i'm working but officially go on maternity leave on the 28th march. i'm counting down the days!!! lol....

lots of sticky baby dust to you all!!!!

hi shantala - i was only aware from my previous pg where one of the girls at work, said 'right no more underwire bra's for you' - and I'm like wtf!! thats all I have! When I spoke to the bra expert in M&S yesterday she said that its true and need to go to non-underwired - doesn't have to be specifically a maternity one so I've just googled and found this from the babycentre.co.uk website

There does not seem to be any concrete evidence to show that wearing underwired bras during pregnancy may be harmful. However, there appears to be a potential risk. Many midwives and retail outlets advise against purchasing underwiring in pregnancy. The reasoning behind this advice appears to be that the rigid wire may interfere with the natural changes in size and shape of the breast during pregnancy.

I've decided to because I am more on the ample side and they have grown somewhat already!!

Don't know how you can cope with your house upside down - lets hope its finished by the time bambino arrives !

Shantala/Nims -I had heard that too from pg friend about underwire bras

Steph - weekend of hell nearly over and those spermies will have made it - time to invest in some more POAS - I have heard the manufacturers have put the factory on overtime to cope with your demands - LOL :D

Icsi - not long till babies are home with mummy - have you decided on how many to transfer?

Welshgirl - hope the pain in the butt is subsiding - must be most uncomfortable x

Decorations are all down and place looks so bare - had best day in world today benn in PJ's all day - well put jeans on briefly to go to get sunday papers (jama top - no bra - not a good Luck) and coat of course - then had shower and oput clean PJ on .. don't you just love those days :D :D

Not even had chance to look at holidays - keep thinking should save money for treatment or just ion case a miricle happens before - what the hell .. I'm going to have a surf now and see what is about x

Nims - yep me too - went bra shopping today and was totally unimpressed with the selection. I'm not very big and have only grown a little but all of mine are underwired and getting uncomfortable. I knew about underwired not being recomended from when my sister was pregnant butI did see special underwired maternity ones on a web site somewhere.

HEELLLOOO Ladies!

So good to see so many posts this weekend! My dh just left to take my stepsons back to their mom's (the live with her, we get them every other wknd and some odd days) - bummer is that it's 3.5 hrs drive away!! I'm thinking about having specialized ergonomic seats put in the cars since my butt is always in them! (well, dh's more than mine) :? SOO, since he's going it alone tonight, I have some time to myself and I can finally get the computer (from the boys) to check in on you guys!

Wishful/Carolyn - a day in PJs sounds dreamy! That's my next weekend plan (when dh has to work and no stepsons!) especially since I put the boys to work helping me get the Christmas decorations in the basement! btw, I have 3 of them, 12, 14, and 16. The 14yo is the one who tries my patience, God love him, he's either the sweetest kid I know or Damien, demon child, no in-between. I know what you mean about saving $ for treatment - we're paying o-o-p and every round, those drugs are a kicker - not to mention the costs when we are all finally pg! I still think a holiday is in order, though - you gotta treat yourself - you've been working hard!
Image

Shantala -Bless your dh's little heart, I can't believe he got the wrong color Image - I'm sure it broke your heart to tell him! I'm glad it's all straightened out now! Now for the rest of the house to get to completion! Wow, I envy you and at the same time, I'm very content with my home as is! It's great to have all that done, but the process is a killer! And I can't imagine dealing with it while you're pg! You're a brave girl! We had some unplanned renovations a few years ago (came come to niagra falls in my kitchen! ) The basement & first floor were completely destroyed with water damage - we took the "opportunity" to change some things around and add more hardwood on the main level, among other things. But we lived on our 3rd floor for about 3 months... ugh. It's great after, but I feel for ya now!

Beachbaby Jayne! Congrats on the 12 week mark! I hope all goes well with your nuchal on Wed and then you can begin to relax and enjoy more! That consultant visit is just right around the corner too, hopefully they'll set your mind at ease as well!! I'll be thinking of you and saying a little prayer on Wed. ;)

Welshgirl/Becky - That story about your daughters and your dh brought a tear to my eye! How sweet that is!!! I have a friend in a similar situation - and what a blessing it is to find a dh who can fulfill not only your dreams but your children's as well!! And it takes a special kind of man to do that, you're a very lucky girl!! I love my guys to pieces, but I have to say, I've found it difficult with their mom... she's a little nuts - and she makes them feel guilty for being too close with me. It's sad and the boys are the ones who pay the price. It's sad that your kids' (girls?) dad isn't in the picture, but you're right, it's definitely his loss... and fortunately, they don't have to be pulled in two directions, they have everything they need at home!! AND>> come July/Aug - when your next treatment DOES work, they will have a new little blessing to look forward to!!

Nimble - Girl, you are right about that 5 full days of work - I don't know how I'm going to make it through! Probably lots of coffee breaks! and thanks to my employers, a lot of wellness visits - (we get a couple of hours a week to workout at work - one of the cooler perks of my job!) The "quasi-diet" isn't really a special diet (at least not that I'm aware! -could be these days, ya never know!) it's just my way of saying that I'm kind of, or half-dieting... I start of great in the am, but by the time 3pm rolls around, I'm looking for a snack! I think when I was pg, I got used to eating every 2 hrs and my body is now ticked that I've stopped! GREAT news about the scan! It's wonderful to see that and have those piccies - I'll cherish mine forever. Good luck at the midwife appt tomorrow and in the quest to find a sexy wire-less bra!! ;)

Rachel
- Sorry you're sick! Hope you're feeling better soon!! Image

Steph - Hang in there, girlie - your spermies and eggies are having a big 'ol party in your uterus and they're doin' just fine! Visualize that (instead of sticks!!) Haha!
Image
Bet you didn't know you had a disco ball in there, now did ya?!! ;) Image

Yes, I'm evil, I took away guitar hero - and if I had planned better, I would have totally practiced! I played it twice that day (before he lost it!) but didn't even make it through either song! bummer. They all like to watch me play, um, laugh at me as I play! Oh well. I can play a mean Scrabble and kick their little behinds! :P

Angie!
- Tuesday will be here before you know it! I can't believe they couldn't give you an update on the embies! :( I am learning a lot about how DIFFERENT clinics are! During my first cycle, I had read an IVF book and was convinced that a 5-day blast transfer was the best route and nearly lost it when they told me 3day... but I quickly learned that my clinic believes that a 5day is only necessary when it's not clear which are the best to transfer... otherwise they feel it's best to transfer asap. Two schools of thought, I guess. But since they do a day-by-day plan, I get daily calls with embie reports. Nevermind all that - YOU are going to have some beautiful embies all ready to implant come Tuesday and you're going to have a little crop to freeze for another bro/sis down the road!

Ah, stepsons... one of the true joys in life as well as one of the biggest struggles! Girlfriend time?! Are you kidding me?! I guess I should count my blessings, as none of our boys has a gf, YET! Plus, I guess we have the benefit, being 3.5 hrs away, any gf time would have to be at their moms! I Image your story about the little singing patience girl! That's the kind of mom I want to be one day! What a great story! Thanks for sharing!! I'll be thinking of you and praying for you on Tuesday! It's gonna be a good transfer!!! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!, right?!?! Image

As for me, it's getting kind of late... I was trying to decide between a glass of wine or a workout - too great w's that don't go together. So I caved and poured the wine, but discovered that it was passed it's prime <<ewh>> Think that was a sign I should be lacing up the sneakers?! I guess I'll give it a shot. My options are limited, since there's no way I'm heading out to the gym at this hour on a Sun. Looks like it's either the stationary bike, Turbo Jam or Tae bo... choices, choices.

Have a lovely Monday, ladies... ttys!

Hope I am sooo impatient when it comes to poas. I think I should buy stock in the company, it probably does WAY better than my company stock at the moment! I'm glad you guys are so confident for me that I got it haha. Some days I feel like I DO have a disco party in there....I feel the bubbles on occasion when they bring out the champagne haha....is that like saying a party in my pants haha. OMG and Guitar Hero is HARD!!!!! At least that is what I keep telling myself, cuz it certainly isn't cuz I SUCK! Sorry bout the wine, too bad it wasn't a sign like your dog hid your shoe or sports bra

Su and Nims, do you guys have outlet stores over there??? The outlets I hit around here usually have a bra and undie store or 2 at them (Maidenform and Jockey). I bet you'd have more selection at a place like that. I heard that sometimes a sports bra is more comfy (maybe you can ask where Hope's dog hid her's haha). But then the lovely thing about those is they give you uni-boob :( not so flattering, but much more comfy haha

Carolyn- so jealous u got the decs away! I LOOKED at mine today haha. I still vote for a mini vacay!!! Dang it I have some free mileage burning a hole in my pocket, I'd LOVE to use, but since I will probably change jobs before I have a baby, I may not acquire much paid leave time...so I need to save all I can :(

Shantala- soo glad it wasn't just me about the Jamaicans...yup whole vial is a waste if it isn't timed right....SIGH. And being single, I don't get the bow chicka bow wow time to make up for any misgivings hehe. I'm glad the right color got on the wall! Are you putting up a turtle boarder?? :) I think you should

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Ok- my last weekend from hell is over :) yahooo. AND yesterday I got an announcement in the mail about a job that is a M-F, no weekends and no holidays!!!! I'm thinking bout applying, only issue is I'd have to move. It is a little over an hour away one way. That would wear me out FAST...not to mention in the winter with all this lovely snow it would seriously SUCK haha...but then again maybe I wouldn't get it anyways. But it gives me hope things are looking up...all signs are good!!!!

Know I'm susposed to be working but can't concentrate - went to the loo last night and there it was - brown discharge!! I know, that it is termed as old blood and could be anything, but it doesn't stopping the worrying and stress - both of us didn't get a wink of sleep last night so thankfully I am working from home today as I look like s**t!

Spoke to the clinic this morning and they were so sweet and said if it persists to call them back during the week and they were get me back for another scan (even though they have discharged me) - I know I am over worrying but this is how it all started before and it just brings back all the bad memories.

So trying to be positive but its hard - my poor mother had me wailing down the phone like a banishee first thing

sorry no personals - but will report back later....

thanks becky & rachel and I've been good - only checked knickers once in the past hr!!! :D

When I spoke to the clinic earlier they said it wasn't worth going into today as only had scan on Friday which I tend to agree with - now here's my train of thought (see I'm grabbing at straws here) On Fri morning, baby ok and healthy, if (and a BIG IF - see PMA) something had happened since Friday then surely it would take more than 2 days to create old blood ...... follow!??

I have the faintest of growing aches today too so hoping it is just more shifting around inside and its discharged some old blood from before.... jesus is nothing ever bloody simple with this process - before DH was sitting on the side of bed this morning asking what had we done so wrong - it broke my heart.

Anyway, enough about me - what are your plans for this week - presume its your last week of freedom before going back to work??

Rachel - glad your resting up, its the best thing you can do - if anything I've learnt with all this - is that work is just not important and you have to take care of no.1 - sleep well and hope your're feeling better xxxx
