thanks for your thoughts steph!! it's pretty easy to DISH IT (PMA) OUT to others whilst still feeling buggered up yourself isn't it???? (don't ya love my new dialect!!! probably used it all wrong --- but i feel pretty damn special using the words anyway!!!) i know.....maybe i'll treat myself to TWO giant margaritas!!! to serve 2 purposes ---one, cuz steph says it helps un-constipate and two --- cuz it will help keep my mind off my embabies thru the night!

yeah.....curbside garbage service is like $65/quarterly -- or $22/mo...... i'll gladly pay for that convenience as there are no nearby dumps!! as for the doggy baths ----- do you know what i do w/ my murphy dog??? we have an oversized shower stall w/ glass doors in our master bath and i literally lug him (all 75 lbs of him) into the shower WITH ME!!! he can't escape and i kill 2 birds with one stone!!! wah-la! weather here is 60'ish as well --- WTF is up with that?????!!!!!!!!!!! has GOT to be a record high! we are usually in the teens this time of year!! for gods sake -- we were just BELOW ZERO last week!!!!!! crazy weather!

how did the phone call go???????? i'm dying to know!! ALSO - about that.....in earlier post you mentioned HOSPITAL --- i thought you previously said that hospitals don't pay worth a shi*????? anyway....

i'm with ya on the "tea" part steph!! good thing we wouldn't be "obligated" cuz i'd make an awful guest!! don't like the icky stuff myself ----- and especially not with dinner!!!!

Angie- can't wait to hear that your babies will soon be home! I say tomorrow you should put yur feet up, have some tea and pay your garbage bill haha. It is funny that you say you don't have a dumps near you. Here in NH it is basically every town that has one. Some are better than others, but ours isn't too bad, I just HATE loading up the car. When my dad was in Iraq my mom and I had to do their trash...we waited til the very last moment. You should have seen us, it was like Laurel and Hardy. The little old guy that "monitored" for stickers (yup you have to have a sticker to your town dump, it reminds me of my CA days when you had to have a sticker to get into the Country Clubs hahahaha) and I think he felt so sorry for these pathetic women, I swear we were the only females there. He always helped us unload and get outta there as fast as we could. Unfortunately I don't get any help at my local one, but I have made buds with the gate keepers haha. Pathetic I know!

What's gonna be a new word of the week? Buggered? I think we should exchange glossaries on a weekly basis just for fun....though I don't think our dialect is as fun. It cracks me up how we speak the same language but there are so many words that don't translate the miles haha.

Yeh and this warm weather is crappy! It is all melty, yet the ground is frozen so the dog potty area is just NASTY! My retards love it, I say that in the kindest of thoughts as the big doofus Napolean is sleeping with his arse on the pillow and his head on the floor.

So I made the call back. I have an interview on the 24th. It is with the VA. No hospitals don't pay crap like retail and the govt pays even more crap, but the benefits and schedule will be where it is all at. Better hours, with the VA a retirement with medical, pretty darn good health care benis, GOVT HOLIDAYS OFF!, basically the only good thing about retail is the high pay haha. I need to work on my coverletter though for another position at a hospital about an hour away for their new cancer clinic...M-F, no weekends EVER, no holidays EVER! I just have never had to do a coverletter yet in any position, but since they don't have an online app, just email your resume thing, I figure I should probably have something with it. Got any cheat sheets

I got 'most' the decis down. The tree is still up cuz I detest taking down the ornaments Maybe sometime this week I will get to it. Tomorrow before work it probably won't happen...I need to go vote. OMG I pray to GOD these damn ads and news stories will go away after tomorrow after the primaries are over! I wanna poke my eyes out!!

New to report...no more twinges at the moment...I just wish I knew wtf is going on down there!

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies ....

So much going on - so many debates, so much to talk about. Can u just imagine if we all got together for a coffee morning once a week - gawd knows wot we would end up talking about, but it would be pretty interesting - when we all realised what the hell we were talking about lol!

Anyway - Buggered has many meanings here in the UK - ermmmm it might mean - tired (as in knackerd) or it might mean (oh lol, i couldnt even say it ) but its the first thing that came to my mind

An ICSI - we too have garbage trucks - but we call em bin men LOL, and we have wheelie bins too (well i do, some people are still waiting for theirs!) i have a brown one (for garden/food waste) and a black one (for normal household stuff) and a small black box for glass, cardboard/paper/cans that sort of stuff! I like to recycle when i can, and do most things correctly! I cant beleive u have to pay for that too!!! I suppose we pay it in our tax somewhere - but to pay it monthly - i too would take my own! I still need to go to the 'dump' (Tips i call it) now and again tho - for bigger stuff, like if im throwing out my sofa, or just having a good ole clearout - mind u, i suppoe u lot have garage/house sales - do u really do that, have all ur stuff on the garden and sell it to people comming past??? Weird - we would just stuff all ours in the car and meet up with a load of other sad folk and call it a car boot sale haha!

Am i right in thinking that u have about 10ft of snow and now its 60c there????? Thats not right? We are lucky to get 60c in July and August let alone when the snow is here lol - im deff living in the wrong place!

ICSI: Lovely to hear u babies are gonna be home 2moro and settling in for the long haul - 3 is good - sad also as u say that the others didnt make it, i had to lol when u said it was gods choice, but u were pretty peeved with him at ur last shot - altho its nothing to laff at, it was just the way it came out - souded funny u know! Anyway, this time ur gonna be well pleased with him - he's gonna out do u and give u all that u wish for

I have a dog 'Jack' who hates the bath too - he's a springer (black and white) and loves to get dirty - he goes hunting with DH and so tends to be very smelly. We bathed him on xmas eve as we knew he would be in the house a lot over xmas (he sleeps in his kennel outside) but as it was xmas - he got his fur cut too - my daughter reckons he looks gay now cos he is so clean and tidy lol - so we have started to call him Jackie haha! (kidding - dont want to confuse the poor fellow lol)

I'm gonna start calling it the Tips I've heard the term bins. Here in New England they like to call em barrells. They also call shopping carts (I believe you call em trollies...being from California outside of SF a trolley has a WAY different meaning) but here they call em carriages! I think of carraige the thing that Cinderella rode in that turned into a pumpkin haha.

Yup we are in the 60s tomorrow apparently, but in F not C...wouldn't that be boiling for ya? I'd say it is about 20C?? I posted somewhere back last week that it was -26F here, I think that was like -30-40 something for ya! CRAZY!!!

Love the photos of your puppies! They are adorable. I wish I had time for a dog (of course, I'll make time for a baby, but I'm not ready for a dog!) Plus, dh is kind of a neat freak and would not be too keen over dog hair in the house. I guess that kind of rules out the theory of my dog taking my gym shoes, guess I'll have to come up with another excuse!

Off to bed for me... Long day (and it's only Monday - sounds like somebody's got a case of the MONDAYS!! (Office Space, anyone?)) I'm probably just tired because I actually worked out for the first real time in about, ummh,.. let's just say it's been a while. I was pretty happy though, just getting back into it. I opted for TurboJam last night and was totally shocked that I didn't have to use the pause button to get through it! YAY! I even added the bonus ab session. Had round 2 today... hence, the reason I'm dragging! Anyone else ever done TurboJam? I thought it was kind of cheesy, and the name, well, it is... but the workout is excellent! Kicks butt!

Oh, i almost forgot, i'm lovin' the word of the week... I'm looking forward to adding my 2 cents when I can, Southern-style... by the way, those shopping carts/carriages - down south, they call 'em buggies. Afraid to say, I've conformed with many of the terms of my new home... since the first time I used the word 'buggy' the folks at the grocery looked at my like I had three heads!

Hope: My DH doesnt like dog hair in the house either - Jack has his own kennel outside, u could fit a baby elephant int it its huge! DH is a hunter and takes the dog with him - so he treats him as a working dog - where as i treat him like my baby lol - the dog knows his place is outside, but if he cries enough when DH isnt about - he knows he gets a place inside with me altho i do put my foot down in the evenings and he has to slepp out there which in all fairness he takes pretty well, once he's had his supper (either a rich tea or a ginger biscuit) lol. We would call a buggy, a pram or a stroller for a baby - or a buggy would be a 4 wheeled play toy for the grown up men to play with on the beach lol .... Funny the things we say hat have different meaning - can anyone think of anything else????

Its raining here this morning (i suppose u lot over the pond are still in ur kip = bed!) Ive just made an emergency appt at the dentist as i was up a lot last night with toothache (nothing worse!!) so i have that to look fwd to on Thursday more bloody pennies again!!

Ermmmm, any other news??? Nope, cant think of any at the moment! My arse is still sore - i have a seton in it (hard to explain but i will try) its like a loop of hard wire!!! Where the DR cut me it goes in there and comes out the other bit of my bum Well anyhow, there is a knot in it (haha - im sure ur all engrossed now lol) and the knot is digging in me time for more happy pills me thinks!!! Im trying not to take as many, i want to go out in my car - i havent driven since last Wednesday and its driving me nuts!!

Becky - Hon, you've got me crackin' up with the terminology... I love it! Although I'm still confused on a lot of it. The whole tea/supper/dinner thing leaves me totally lost. I'll leave the trolley thing to Steph, since she's got the whole SF thing goin on. As for the south, we call the place where you buy food the grocery, or grocery store. those metal thingies with wheels, we call those buggies... and we sometimes call "prams/strollers" buggies (or baby buggies).... (but not me, that's just too much). And we also call those big boy toys for the beach buggies... I guess we call a lot of things buggies... hmm? maybe it's our inability to come up with unique terms for each... haha!

I have a dear friend that I work with that is Canadian, but worked in the UK for some time... she confuses me often as well... one term, I don't know if we've discussed, but it was mentioned (and I actually knew what you meant!) was boot - the day I learned what a 'boot' is, well, i guess it was similar to the old 'who's on first' sketch! crazy. Oh, and the other one, isn't a different term, but it's in the pronunciation... garage... we say 'gar', rhymes w/ car, whole word, garage, rhymes (kinda) with raj...? I dunno, help, US girls??? When my friend here says it, it rhymes with carriage. Ok, i'm wearing myself out! gotta stop!

Becky, that other beast is my turtle Thor. He is really a tortoise but he really isn't all that big. About the size of your hand...although when I gave him a bath last night....yeh he's about as cooperative as the dogs are but he is much easier to wrestle....you'd never know how small he is from the amount of poo that comes out of his rear!!! Remember that dump conversation from yesterday???
