Hope yall are doing well. today is day 5 of my shots. They dont hurt. Im looking forward to my appt tomrow hopfully we can sorta schedule ER for next week. Whats up with yall. Im jelous of all the dates going on. We have a date this weekend. We are painting our room. Its about time we have lived here for 2 years and only managed to do the living room. Well let me rephrase I did the living room while he was in bed from surgery. So he will do most of our room. I will help as long as the doctors say its ok. Ok enough rambling for now!!!!!

Sugabeanz: Glad you are still out there :) So glad your follies are growing. Did your doctor mean 8 follicles?? How can he tell how many until he takes 'em out? I' confused. I can't tell you about the progesterone, cuz last time I had suppositories. I am not looking forward to those either. Are those in the morning or the evening??

Katie: don't worry about not reading through all of our rambling! Sorry you aren't feeling well. What do you think is giving you the cramps?? We sooo need to paint also. We were trying to sell our house, but that didn't work, so I think we will be here I while longer and some of the white walls are getting on my nerves. Let me know what the doc says about painting now, I assume it would'nt be a problem, what do the rest of you ladies think?

Hi girls!

I did my Menopour after icing yesterday and made sure DH picked a nice fleshy spot on my bum, it was a 75 dose in 1 cc and it felt much better than other times - stung a little but not bad - huge relief!!!!
Follistim is a breeze.
Still having hot flashes and walk around like I just got sunburned!
I heard we are not supposed to exercise much or do anything that resembles jumping up and down...
My nurse said meds within 1 1/2 hours ok, but no longer than that, always everything at night for me.

KatieG- hope you are feeling better

Sugabeanz - GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!!

Loopie- you can always count on us!

Mia - glad you and DH are having fun :) and tearing up the town! Sorry to hear your dates changed, :( I was looking forward to being "date" buddies. Let me know your dates when you get your calendar.

I found this on the net and thought it would be helpful for you girls, I saved a copy:
WHAT NOT TO EAT
pregnant and nursing women, should always avoid swordfish, shark, tilefish, and king mackerel. low-mercury options: shrimp, salmon, pollock, farm-raised catfish, tilapia, flatfish (flounder, sole, plaice), scallops, haddock, farm-raised trout, herring, crawfish, mullet, oysters, ocean perch, sardines, squid, white fish, and anchovies.
While fresh and canned tuna didn't make the FDA's list, many experts say pregnant women may be better off limiting fresh tuna steaks and canned albacore, or "white," tuna to one meal per week or less, since these large fish can harbor mercury levels close to the one part per million threshold the FDA deems safe. (Canned light tuna is considered safe since it is made with smaller skipjack fish that are low in mercury.) If fish can harbor toxins, it seems plausible that the oils extracted from fish to make supplements might be contaminated, but that's not the case.
Raw Meats and Seafood including sushi, Deli meats including hot dogs, It's safe to eat deli meats if you reheat them until steaming hot. Refrigerated smoked seafood,it is safe if they are contained in cooked dishes. Canned and shelf-stable versions are safe to eat.
Raw eggs - raw eggs may contain salmonella. Some Caesar salad dressings, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream and custards as well as Hollandaise sauces may be made with raw eggs. It is best to check with your server in a restaurant; if in doubt, it is best to avoid it. In addition, unpasteurized eggnog should be avoided.
Soft cheese - avoid the following soft cheeses: Feta, Brie, and Camembert cheeses, blue-veined cheeses, queso blanco, queso fresco and Panela. They are safe to eat if they are labelled pasteurized.
Refrigerated pâtes or meat spreads - for the same reason of listeria contamination. It is safe to eat the canned or shelf-stable versions.
Liver - liver is a rich source of iron. However it contains a high level of Vitamin A. Large amounts of Vitamin A can be harmful to the baby.

Are you saying I can't have my ham sandwiches??? Is that qualify as a deli meat!! :(

Rio: Maybe it wasn't Menopour I had that stung, b/c whatever I had was a subq not IM...I just looked it up; it was Menegon. I am not sure if that is used in the states or not. Nope, no jumping.. No running, just take it easy for a few weeks :)

Is anyone else cramping really bad during stims???? It just started last night and im on day 5 of 10. Its normal I hear but I didn't think it would be this constant.
Ive been told the only exercise is walking on a treadmill/outside. No running or jogging or jumping.
I will tell yall tomorrow is they let me take part in the painting. the color I chose is called Brown Teepee. Funny huh. Its a light/brown/tan color. My living room is called Grey Earth. Its a plum/Gray/Brown color. I will prob have ER on 17th or 18th. Im going to hopefully know more tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! You all have been talkin away! I am glad everyone has found this board! It is such a huge comfort!

Rio: Sorry you are red faced and having flashes! I hope they both subside soon! I get caffeine headaches (diagnosed several years ago, from lack of caffeine!!) My RE said I can have a half a cup of coffee if I do get a headache. I told her they are worse right now because of the lupron and she said Tylenol was ok, but nothing else! I don't drink soda, or juice ususally but have heard that pineapple juice and grapefruit juice do amazing things for CM, so I am trying that this time around. Thanks for all the info, it was great. My RE recommended I treat my body as if I were already preggers, limit caffeine, no alcohol, no jumping or contact sports but to keep exercising. I told her I do about 30 minutes on the elliptical and she said that was good, just not to over heat.

Mia: I know I was disappointed when my doc told me no lunch meats! I have just been making some baked chicken breasts at night and then cutting them up or shredding them to make sandwiches!

Suga: I hope they keep growing! Grow, Grow, Grow!! Rooting for you!

Katie: I hope you are feeling better, I too had really horrible cramps this time around! They are over now, but I feel your pain and hope you are feeling better today!

Baby Dust to all, and fingers crossed for tons of growing follies and great results for everyone!

Mia - I am sure that good quality ham is ok, I think they are nervous about Salmonella. I had a friend who ended up with it and her baby has lots of issues so I guess it is best not to risk it.

Katie - keep us posted, my ER is 1/19 or sooner. :)

waitingforMia: Thanks! Ummm he said that he thinks there will be about 8 great follicles to work with once removed but I have about 30 in there. So I dunno? But yes, follicles not eggs lol. You know, I have no idea when I take the progesterone shots...he has not told me that yet. I suppose I will find out soon and keep you updated. Hopefully they are not in my hip/back area where the others go because that is just a sore zone for how long I have been on these other shots.

As for deli meats, I was told no deli meats whatsoever. My friends who have gotten pregnant have been told the same thing. I will miss sushi :( But it will all be worth it!!!

I am prone to gestational diabetes so I think once I get preggo I will go on a low carb diet so that limits a lot that I can eat for lunches and whatnot. I will have to get creative!

KatieG: Also with the exercise, I was told not to break a purposeful sweat. So that limits me a lot I feel.

I did not get any hot flashes on the meds. I did get them with clomid BAD (along with wanting to punch a hole in the wall). I just either put a cold compress on or fanned myself. Best wishes with those though!

My RE said no deli meat because of the preservative they put on all of the meats in the processing...I guess they put a similar preservative on sushi too. She told me what it is called, but I forgot, Sorry!

Katie:

Sorry you are having so much trouble! I hope it gets easier!

WOW im surprised about the deli meats. I ate a buffalo chicken sand. on monday. I just bought the darn pack from the deli. I will definatly throw it out. Hmm I am not trying to sound like an eyore with the whole cramps/headache thing. Im generally upbeat and not "sickly" But its all worth it in the end. I have not issues iwth sea food I dont like it. I generally try and eat good. Im not going to deprive myself of my mexican food this weekend. But I will not eat another deli sandwich. I have never heard that but I wont take a chance. And it makes since!!

Thanks for all the warnings about deli meat :( I just bought today a pound of black forest ham!! But I think I will eat it any way this week. I still have a couple of weeks till ER!

Kbear: WELCOME! I am a little later than you but ER is a piece of cake. (I like anything I can sleep through :))

Rio: How are your follies looking?? Any sizes to report? I need to go to the store with dh to pick out paint. He does all the decorating, I am lucky if I get a word in! I need to paint our entrance room that is two stories - it is just so white and blah!

Hopin:I bought pineapple too b/c I heard it helps the embies stick, or something.

Katie: I forget what meds are you on that are making you cramp? So you like earthy colors, huh? I do too.

I am off to eat and get ready for a meeting tonight. I should be home in time for my injection. I will just make sure i am home to get them at the right time. I don't want to mess anything up.

I'm shocked about the whole deli meat thing too. I love a good old ham sandwich in the afternoon. Oh well, guess that's just one more thing on the "don't do it" list.

KatieG: Sorry to hear about the cramping. Chin up. Just think of those follies getting bigger and bigger :D

sugabeanzs: 30!! I hope they count that many when my time comes.

kbear: Good luck on Tuesday.

rio: sorry you are still having hot flashes. I hope they end soon.
And thanks for posting the bad food list. I was in shock! I had no clue about the deli meat or the cheeses. thanks again.

Hi ladies can i join you?
It seems everyone around me at the moment is pregnant and i dont want to burden them with whats going on with me.

I have been trying to concieve for about seven years. Had lap 5 years ago.
Tubes both blocked. Unfortunately in jan 06 i had a m/c to be followed by an eptopic in dec 06. IVF first attempt Nov 07 but had to end early due to OHSS. 2nd cycle starts tomorow 11/1 when i start the buserelin. Hopefully this time i will get to the egg collection stage.

Thanks
