Hi there ladies-

Angie - Congratulations on bringing home the babies!!! Was the assisted hatching a last minute decision or did you discuss that previously with your RE? We are considering it for this next round too. 2.5 hrs 1 way to the clinic?! Wow. I thought our trip was long. Ours isn't that far really, it's just the nasty, ridiculous DC traffic! ewh! You keep feelin' those little embabies snuggling in and gettin' comfy!!

Steph - I loved the turtle and the cat (Ok, I know that was forever ago, now!) And don't you worry, you're feeling your little one snuggling in too!! Keep imagining your little one stylin' in those awesome turtle digs! Your kid will be the envy of the neighborhood!! I have to chime in with the soda/pop/coke thing - I personally call all soda, soda... but in the south, we call all sodas 'drinks' - which can be particularly confusing for those unaware of this! This is not to be confused with calling all beverages 'drinks' - as we call other beverages by their names such as water, tea, coffee, etc. Yes, have TEA as well - only it's served in a tall glass with ice and it's very, very SWEET! Total culture shock for my folks when visiting. You just can't get a glass of sweet tea here... :( Image

To add to the crisps/chocolate topic - love them both - in many flavors! My personal favorite for crisps (chips) is salt n vinegar - tangy! But, much liked the beloved Reese's cups (you're chocolate's in my peanut butter!) There are two other great tastes that taste great together... chocolate covered potato chips - CHIPPERS. Just ask the dear folks of North Dakota... http://www.carolwidmanscandyco.com/products.htm Yummy!

Beachbaby Jayne - so glad to hear your test results came back with positive results! Big babies!! That's excellent!!

Welshgirl - Glad to hear your bum is doing better. If we could just keep you out of the car!! Sister, speaking of bums, you would not believe the exercise class I attended last night! I went to a ZUMBA class for the first time ever. Let me just say, the instructor walked, a cute little guy, with periwinkle-colored, spiked hair and he proceeded to shake his little bum for the next 50 min! I've never seen anyone shake their bum like he could. It was a little scary, honestly! But I will be going back next week - excellent work out!! Image
OH, and about the boot - I guess I was in too big of a hurry that day! I meant the space in the car (where you carry your groceries and dead bodies!) the thing that we call a trunk!

Shantala - Hope DH feels better soon! Good deal on the clorox!! You certainly don't need any of that with the little one! What did you mean the toliet has to be flushed with a bucket? I think I missed something in that...?? Hope the home rennovations are going well. Did you ever say what colors the nursery has?

Lara - Cadbury creme eggs... yummy! 14?? Wow, you do have a sweet tooth! I don't think I've ever finished one. RICH creamy middle!!

Su - That was cool of your dr to come out and congratulate you! How are you feeling?

Nims - Did you ever find out from your folks if the turtle actually RAN away or if it just kicked the bucket? Still feeling good, I hope! I don't blame you about the doppler (or the treadmill for that matter!) My friend has one and has offered it to me for down the road. At first I thought, what? how silly... but now, I certainly see it both ways... may make some crazy and make keep others sane! I'm still not sure which category I'll be in!

Jen1d - Glad to hear FIL is a little better. Wow, AF will be here soon!! About the travel... I read somewhere (where? sorry!) that if you have to travel to be sure to give yourself plenty of extra time to do so and of course minimize the walking and stairs. Certainly sit, lay back and get your feet up at every chance you get! ;) You may get a few stares, but so what?!! You'll be PUPO!!

Stephjim - when r u expecting AF? I'll be doing a jig for you! (though not like that Zumba instructor!! ) I can't go back now and I can't remember (SORRY!!) but are you having a fresh cycle or FET? If fresh, are you doing BCPs first?

Today was a little bit hard for me... :( I know a lot of it is because I'm tired! - exercise in the pm makes me kind of wired and I have a hard time sleeping) but, my gf - a co-worker is pg and was announcing it to others today. I've known for some time, as we shared the TTC secret, though her's is natural. The hard thing is that we were 2 weeks apart and now that everyone else knows, I have to remain all smiles during the conversations . She's due end of June and I was due July 14. Of course, I'm very happy for, but I can see that she's uncomfortable too. And I feel bad for her, because I don't want to bring her down! So then I try to smile even bigger; feelin' like my face is gonna pop! Image Anyway... I'm ok, it's just one of those moments I know we go thru. Taking the day off from working out and going to try to get to bed early!

Hey, maybe I'm PMS'ing!!?!! Not ready for the AF dance yet... nurse said if it comes too soon, I'll have to wait for another before starting BCPs... I'm aiming for sometime around the 3rd-4th weeks of Jan... then I'll be dancing! hopefully my new Zumba dancin' will get things rolling!

Sweet dreams and baby dust wishes! Image

Hope,

Thanks for the jig. I hope that it starts Saturday, but I did that last month and it did not start when I wanted it to. I am actually doing one more round of IUI with Clomid, but I have been waiting for a %$&*^& cyst to go away on the left ovary.

At this point, I am tired of being put off and if it is gone, I would rather just move on to IVF w/icsi. However, I promised my DH we would give 3 IUIs a chance. So we will see. I don't want to spend the money, but if it is going to be the only thing that will help us right now, then it is worth it, right?

It sounds like you held yourself up nicely with everything happening with yourself and your friend. How about we slow dance for af to come so that she does not get here too quickly.

Steph, how much longer do you have?

(think PMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) hey, did you have your interview?? and speaking of laptop --- i actually have one at work that i can bring home w/ me at my free will --- just never have cuz it was too much a pain to hook up all the damn wires and crap to DIAL IN only having dial up internet!!!! it SO wasn't worth the effort........and tomorrow --- (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME) ---- i'll be the proud newest owner of high speed internet!!! can't believe is FINALLY available in the land of BFE where i live!!  timing is good though.....couldn't be better --- will have to keep each other "busy" this weekend! (to be interpreted as keeping steph away from POAS!!!) ha, ha, ha!!

shant ---- really loving that your back.........you and welshbugger -- the original abbott and costello of this board!!! (do you know who they are??) back when i was just a voyerer of this thread --- i used to LOOVVVEEE reading your guys bantering back/forth!! kept me on such a mental high! thanks for the story of 1 embie = bfp too.......as you well know, it can be the hardest thing EVER to keep up PMA during this time......

beck ---- SO GLAD THE BUM IS FEELIN' BETTER  wouldn't want to start new job w/ a bad bum! that would suck........are ya excited for new start?? nervous?? i know i always am with new job.........oh damn - does that mean that you'll be MIA for a bit??? i was just getting used to you being back in full force!!!

jayne --- awwwwww -- how very cool that you got to hear heartbeat!! Fantastic news hun!!!

nims --- sounding like you're back to your old self (no more WORRYING!!!) ---- that's a good thing!! for what it's worth, i always cook for an army instead of just what i need also!!! although, i do have 2 teenage boys that seem to eat up EVERYTHING in sight --- so even if leftovers, it usually gets gone!!! (i wish i had 1/2 the metabolism they do......UNBELIEVABLE!!!)

stephjim ---- as i told other steph, i do/will have access to laptop -- THANK GOD!!!! thanks so much for your well wishes on me bringing home 2 babies!!! :P "have patience, have patience -- don't be in such a hurry" ---- i know, so much easier said than done my friend!! i'm just sayin' -- don't second guess your decision on going ahead w/ ONE more round of clomid.........there will be PLENTY of time left to move forward with IVF/ICSI if necessary  if i could do those fancy pic's and sparklies (i'm sparkle/pic virgin!!) i would do a GIANT ONE FOR AF's arrival!!!! oh i know ------- ******* swish/swoosh/swish ****** and the wand has been waved!!!! bring on the beeeeaaatttchhh AF

hope --- you poor dear -- i know how much it sucks to have to put on the happy face for every girl around you getting knocked up!!! just SUCKS!! i know.......in fact, my sis's bff from high school just adopted a beautiful baby boy ---- they got him at 3 days old!!!! anyway - sis was sharing all the photos and just couldn't help myself to not cry :-( sis felt bad, didn't think it would upset me........it's very bizarre what going thru all this does to your emotions! ZUMBA dancing sounds like a ball!!! and yes --- i will start swooshing my wand in order for your AF to arrive TIMELY -- not too soon, not too far -- -but JUUUUSSSTTTT at the right moment!!

rachel -- R U SERIOUS???? you really ate 14 cadburry cream eggs???? are they available year round over there???? cuz over here --- you can only get them around easter time (you know - when the easter bunny comes and lays all them yummy eggs!!!) YOU GO GIRL!!!

is very bizarre how i'm feeling right now......not nearly as anxious as last time around ---- am HOPING it stays that way for the next week!!!! thinking it may have something to do with knowing what to expect...... hell i don't know!!! who am i trying to KID????????? all i know is that i can't keep my hands off my damn belly -- rubbing it, talking to my babies --- is so very sweet too cuz i woke up to dh's having a little rub & talk w/ 'em this morning before he got out of bed for work --- was the sweetest damn thing!! is VERY cool that it's only ONE week at this point.... going the extra few days for the transfer may make a world of difference in me keeping somewhat sane!!!

thanks again girls............you're all my R*O*C*K*S*T*A*R*S!! i really don't think i'd be in as good mental shape w/out all of you.......

Stephjim! Hon, I knew that you were doing IUIs! I'm so sorry... I actually remembered about 30 min after I went to bed (trying to get to sleep!! you know how those things just hit you out of the blue when you're trying to rest!) I'm so sorry! I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a hard time keeping everyone straight!! (OK, i'll be honest, I take notes when I read each day... but then I go and forget basic stuff!) So sorry, hon! So, what is the current word on your cyst?? Still in the wait-mode of seeing if it goes away? Though I know absolutely nothing about IUIs, I would think your plan of 3 is a good one. Seems like there are a lot of girls out there who are very successful with IUI and it's definitely worth a fair shake! And you're right, IVF is ridiculously expensive! This is going to be the time for you!!! :)

AF dance for you! Image

Jen1d - You are so right! There are tons of ppl out there who do all kinds of crazy things and don't even know they're pg! The book I read before starting IVF said it's because of that that clinics vary on their policies regarding rest after ET. Makes sense... but since we have the additional burden of KNOWING... i think it makes it harder for us! Anyway, I'm VERY glad to hear that you have the whole afternoon immediately following to rest up - I think that will make a huge difference!!

AND - with regard to your travel as well as your FIL - keep up your PMA!!! He's going to be fine and so are you and your little baby(ies)!!!!

to boost your PMA - Image you gotta love this little guy!!

Lots of hugs and sticky BABY DUST to everyone!!

OK - so i GOTTA throw this out there........i FINALLY know what you gals across the pond were talking about when ya'll kept talking about "X FACTOR" ------ i watched this interview they did with SIMON COWELL talking about he's a big part of that program as well as AMERICAN IDOL over here!!! i TOTALLY didn't know that!!! Now the American Idol is strictly SINGING competition -- no fancy clothes, no dancing, etc...... is that same as X Factor????? And what I'm REALLY dyin' to know is if Simon is as big of PRICK over there as he is here????? Is why i love the show though --- if he were gone, i don't know that i'd continue watching!! Ironic eh??? Got all excited about it cuz new round of idol starts next week and i'm sooooooooooooooooo excited!!!! (i'm such a dork about it!!) one of my (many) guilty pleasures i suppose!!!

I'm tellin ya -- i know i was right about me being gone for a couple days.... you guys were all just busy little bees!!!!! and today ---- today when i'm back and checkin in as often as my fingers click me over here every few minutes ---- i got NOTHIN!!!!!!! damn the bad luck!! sucks to be me i guess!!

Helloooooooooooooooooooooo - Im here lol

Just wasnt earlier on

I had to go for a smear  and then the dentist  i had to have gel and 2 injections (at the dentist not for the smear LOL) to numb my tooth to fill it, but it still hurts - and i look like a freak with half my face dragging on the florr (well thats what it feels like lol) the kids are laffing at me cos i cant talk - but hey i can type so here i am :D

Yes - Simon is as big a prick here as he is there lol - but we love him too and X-Factor wouldnt be the same without him. I have refused nights out knowing that the X-Factor is on, thats how bad i am about it lol. I sometimes watch Americon idol on sky channel, but i dont know half the songs they sing over there - so i cant get into it like here - there are some pricks on it mind lol - i loved Leon Jackson that won ours this year - and last year i went to the X-Factor tour concert - it was brilliant - do u have that there too, a tour of all 10 finalists. So hows u anyway Ang? Resting up i see (not! lol) When do u go back to work or are u already there??? An yes, i do know a=who abott and castello is - dunno about Shant tho, she maybe too young (tart lol) Ooooooh to be 21 again ....

Im bored shitless :o - i dont know weather to start work on Monday - or to hold out another week and make sure im rested up - BUT - my big dilemma is this - i have to go back for anothher 'op' in 3 weeks time, so will be on sick from work again for a week or so - so either way it's not gonna look too good starting a new job and having so much time off is it? Decisions Decisions lol .....

Well for tea tonight (Dinner for DH lol) we are having, pork chops, mashed potatoes, brocoli, carrots and yorkshire puddings with onion gravy - hmmm mmmm mmmm - i hope i can eat it with my mouth like this - i will have to shovel it in (no change there then lol) and hold my mouth closed lol.

Oh and thanks for the dohnuts Steph - think i'd rather eat em than sit on them tho ta lol

ICSI I'm here too, it just took me so long to read all the posts I got hungry and had to start cooking dinner. I'm having shepherd's pie, well I would be if I could be bothered to put it all together, I think it's goona be mince and mash thrown on a plate but it'll taste just as good.

At my GP appointment yesterday she booked me in to see the midwife today (just blood test) then I took the rest of the afternoon off. I had some flat-packed furniture delivered a couple of days ago but as I was out they put it in the shed. Great, except it was heavy and I had no-one to bring it in for me. So, today as I was home in daylight, I thought I'd open the box in the shed and bring it in bit by bit. Good plan except it decided to rain on me. You should have seen me up and down the garden carrying hundreds (wel it felt like it) of bits of wood. It was quite tricky but its all made now and looks really good.

Must go check on dinner. Be back later

Hey beck!!! i am back at work today........doc only mandates day of transfer and day after as "off work" ----- so today i was good to come back..........is usually a pretty good indication if i'm out here chatting up everybody --- that i am at work!! ha, ha! (naughty me!!)

well your smear sounds lovely!! OR NOT!! poor dear.....hope you get that all sorted!! so does your new job already KNOW that you'll be needing some medical time off?? if yes, i'd say take next week as well -- eventhough you'll need to be off again in few weeks........i mean honestly -- what if you get there and you're really having issues w/ your bum??? woudn't it be better if you didn't have to talk to new boss about bum issues on first week back if you could avoid it??????? i would, but that's just me..........ALSO - do you NEED the pay?? if yes, then maybe you need to grin and bear it!! For me -- i have short term disability at work that will pay me 100% for up to like 6 months or something!!

too funny about X factor and simon!! always good to put 2+2 together though! yes, they have top 10 tour here as well......for the most part, has been quite a hit the last few years!

tea sounds lovely tonight!! you guys sure eat a lot of veggies!!! (what you're SUPPOSED to do......) my family --- not-so-much!!! i'm a "bad" mom that way i guess........i don't ALWAYS make sure i have veggie at dinner (tea).....tonight for instance, cuz dh is trying to diet (bless his heart) -- he will eat some diet CRAP and because boys are with their mother tonight --- i will probably just eat bowl of cereal or something like that!! maybe a bagel.........just whatever!!

yo ho I'm here too - blasted work, don't get the time to read let alone posts and have to be careful as people can read over shoulders so not too private either....nosey b)**&(ds!!! :D

So ICSI they've allowed you to go back to work - fantastic - and you sound pretty relaxed too - i was really chilled about my last cycle too and looked what happened (yep I know i haven't been since but thats different!! :D ) Can't believe they are allowing you high speed internet - gee the web is going to be jamed once your on and there be no stopping you especially when you bring your laptop home

As for xfactor - agree with becky - simon is known for being such a prick but that is what makes the programme - if he wasn't on it then it would be truely dull - sometimes these guys need to be told the honest truth - boy some think they can sing - WTF!! However not such as an avid fan as becky although did watch all of the last series.

oh and dont we all wish we still had the metabolism of teenagers (and bodys for that matter too!!)

Don't your super markets start selling easter things straight after christmas ?? I'm easter eggs will be in the stores soon - hot cross buns certainly are and they are yummy!

Becks - if youre not a 100% hun then take another week off - no point rushing back when you're not ready to make it worse for yourself - I take it you've spoken to your new employers ???? Agree with ICSI, you are very healthy - don't eat as many veg as I should - not particularly good at thinking of different meals to do during the week that are easy when i home from work - so always end up with easy dishes like pasta/chicken and exciting stuff like that!! however do have healthy salads for lunch every day - does that count!

Su - were you doing an impersonation of a drowned rat earlier from the rain ??? Is there no one to help you bring this stuff in for you? You know I'm going nag and tell you off as you shouldn't be carrying heavy stuff around tut tut tut !!

Hope - its tough when people announce around you that they are pregnant - i'm really being aware of a couple of girls I work with that have been through IVF and it hasnt worked - both are now going through the adoption process and they are being so good and taking an interest however trying to be mindful of their feelings - i think you being extremely brave and it shows what a great person you are for being there for her.

hey just let us know when we can start jigging for you........i'll try and wiggle my bum as good as your instructor! Image

Steph - I WANT A FOOD SAVER NOW - where can i buy one - i like the sound of those!! So come on, you must have poas by now - if not you must be having withdrawl symptons by now. Image Come on embies, implant, implant - praying hard for you and ICSI Image

Beat from work - so going to have a early night -
