So its Saturday afternoon and I finally have the time (and energy) for a proper catch up. Be warned, this could be a long one
I usually meet up with my family for lunch on Saturdays but my niece has been ill (throat infection) so I'm keeping well away. Just don't want to catch anything else it I can help it.
Did I say I had antibiotics for sinuitis? Well, I then came out in a rash

and it seems I've developed a penicillin allergy

I don't think I've ever been allergic to anything in my life before. Great timing, as if I wasn't scared enough about the whole hospital/birthing thing I now have to worry about being given penicillin by mistake
Nims - did DH like his present in the end, I sure hope so after all that trouble getting it. We're always teasing my Dad about getting lost and blaming it on the sat nav. I was in a car following him from my Gran's funeral to the wake and we were going round in circles 'cos 'the sat nav got it wrong'. I wouldn't mind but the funeral was in Oxford, where my Dad grew up (and supposedly knows really well) and he'd been to the venue a couple of days before to organise it.
Angie
I pm'd you how to find me on facebook. It takes a while to get used to it and I don't think I'll ever keep up with Steph but its good for a laugh.
I hope the cramping has gone, whatever was causing it. Sounds like you are pretty relaxed this time.

Steph - sorry if I didn't reply to your e-mail, I thought I had but I can't find it so maybe I forgot.

Do you have Mr Men books over there? I loved them as a child.
Anyway I do love you really, here's a turtle to show how much

Don't think I thanked you for the piccies of onesies (they're called bodysuits here). Not sure I'll be going for the turtle ones myself but they are pretty cute.
Oh and by the way

Becky - I've seen Marley & Me in the shops but never looked at it. Might have to get it now you've recommended it. I've read a lot of Jody Picoult lately, My sister's keeper is the best. Now I'm reading The tenth circle but its not keeping me interested. Maybe I've just got too much else on my mind to read at the moment, that happens sometimes.
Good on you for taking another week off. You need to be feeling your best for starting a new job. Hope the bum's feeling better, that knotted wire thing sounded painful - brought tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
Hope -

I read Wicked a few months ago and loved it. Have you seen the musical? It's on in London too and I'd love to go sometime. The Wizard of Oz is my all time favourite film and I adore anything to do with it.
Rachel - how's the tooth?

Just leave some creme eggs for the rest of us please
Jen1d - so did af arrive as requested? Not long now til you fly out an bring those embabies home

, how's the planning going? I hope FIL remains stable, you don't need that extra worry at the moment.
Stephjim - Here's hoping that darn cyst has got the message and gone back where it came from. I'm doing a little AF jig just in case she hasn't arrived yet
Shantala - hope you didn't catch DH's bug. How's the building work going? will it be finished before baby arrives?
Jayne - glad the scan went well. I got the date for mine - 23rd Jan when I'll be 12w1d (according to me) or 12w4d according to the midwife

Why do they insist on working from last AF when my cycle's not regular? I know when I had iui for goodness sake

I'm glad to hear your nuchal measurements were good. I'm not sure I'm gonna have that done as I wouldn't take it any further if the results were bad and it would just cause more worry for the rest of the pregnancy. I think I'd rather not know but its a personal decision.

Are you gonna find out what you're having? Everyone keeps asking me that and I just don't know at the moment. I've heard people say that when they knew and had told others beforehand that it was a bit of a let down not to have that news when the baby arrives. So I'm tempted to find out but not tell anyone (except my sister). Don't know if I could keep it a secret though once I knew.
Anyone else into Dancing on Ice? New series starts tomorrow and I can't wait. I like that much better than strictly come dancing.
I got the date for my scan - 23rd Jan. That's gonna be a great week - Monday my birthday, Tuesday I reach 12 weeks and Wednesday my scan. Plus I have Monday and Tuesday off work, what more could I need
Thanks for all the nagging about the furniture. I promise I took it really carefully, so carefully that I still haven't got around to removing the old coffee table that's got to go to the tip (dumps Steph) so my lounge is a little over crowded at the moment.
Well I think I'm done at last, I did warn you it'd be a long one
Hi to anyone I missed.
Enjoy the rest of your weekends and come back soon everyone
