Okay, so hard to post today...so many emotions to deal with...
First of all, Marybeth--CONGRATS!!!! That must have been quite a surprise for you today! A good surprise, though. It took us a few U/S too to find our 2nd...although, we had a suspicion. I hope you're feeling well and enjoy this time! It goes by so fast....(as I'm sure you'll hear time and time again). We're glad to have you here and feel free to ask away. Between all of us, we have lots of experience to share.
Okay, Kimberly, I want to cry, scream, call you.....I don't know what to say to make you feel better. I wish I did. I can't even imagine going through what you guys had to go through on Monday. Poor Bodie did it all without sedation too...tough cookie he is. It is so hard to understand, like you said, why so many people get knocked up (without wanting or being able to handle a baby) and have healthy children that they then screw up with bad food, bad surroundings, etc.---and then here you are---and I'm not sending pity your way, you're more deserving than that---but you have been sooooo soooo good to your babies. You've just done everything possible to give them a good start, and damn, here you are. God has a plan of some sort, but still, it sucks to high heaven. Are you able to give him any tylenol, motrin for the pain? Herbal stuff? On one hand, at least it's not a tumor or cancer. So I'm trying to be positive, right?

And now, at least you have some knowledge to go on. I hope your Neurologist appt. goes well. Until then, I hope you can manage to stay off the net. It's just impossible to get really good reliable info.
In all seriousness, though, Kimberly. You deserve a big hug. You are already such a steadfast fighter for your baby. You've been consistently following your gutt, and thank GOD because now Bodie can get the help he needs. As far as the delays, I wouldn't worry about that too much right now. Do make sure you find out if you can get any free services for Bodie though because I bet he could qualify for some with this diagnosis. Here in OHio there are a lot of early identification programs that try to help kids "catch up" due to various health issues, so they can be on track by the time school starts. You'll probably have to make some calls or knock on some doors, but make sure you continue to be his advocate. Thank Good ness you are his mommy....he'll get all he needs from you and DH and Anna of course! We'll keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Gotta run. It's been a long day for us, and I have tons to do.
