Rachel: Is a cotbed a crib? or something different? And how big is the moses basket? Must be exciting getting the room ready :)
ICSI: I know it is one stress after another! So glad the numbers increased and you will get more confirmation of this tomorrow!

Chriss I know what you mean about all this baby knowledge; I always know way more than my friends about how to take care of their kids!!

Jen: the stress od the 2ww can be overwhelming at times. No need to feel bad for bursting into tears. We go through so much we deserve to make fool of ourselves on a taxi  No really hun, it is a combination of stress, meds, and hormones! Hope you are feeling calmer.

Pequele: cd3 u/s aren't that. They happen so quickly there really isn't a mess. I don't remember much about IUIs b/c it has been so many years since mine! My Re said one or two. I will put back two if more than two embies make it. Here is a lil' jiggy just for you:
Image

Queen Beck: Good luck tomorrow!! Don't screw it up on the first day :)

Oooh I have an idea, after about 10 minutes of them showing you around ask if you can get online right quick and then inform 'em that you HAVE to check your message board every 10 minutes for updates and to say hi to friends :)

I know their are others I didn't say hi to but this darn topic review only goes so far back and I can't see who else said hi :( But hope everyone is doing well. I was up allll night thinking about how I will decorate my babies' room :) I am such a nut.

pequele wrote: so I am thinking ladies...and especially those that have done iui....how many of you have had your cycles monitored? Like now I only poas to figure out my surge, no U/S and no trigger. I have been trying to save money since it is all out of pocket. But is it really saving me money if I can't hit my surge right am I just throwing my money away anyways.

My concern is all the U/Ss...I mean I hear some of you guys getting em done on day 3 and day 7...now the day 3 one concerns me only cuz well I just have to say eeewwwww!!!

can some of you shed light on this for me purty please![img]
steph
Steph I only once had a u/s at the start of a cycle and that was to check for cysts before my first cycle of injections. Other than that I had the first one at around day 8 - 10 then usually every 2 to 4 days depending on the size of the follies. (They expect them to grow at 1-2mm per day) I started poas when the biggest was 14mm and they triggered at 18-20mm if I didn't get a surge before that. They did the same schedule whether it was unmedicated or clomid or menopur. I found it really helpful to have the u/s as I knew what was going on. My cycle is so screwy that I could have poas for weeks otherwise (my first clomid cycle was 9 weeks long and I never did ovulate  )
I don't know how it works there but I was just quoted one price for an iui cycle and that included however many u/s I needed.
I hope that's helpful

OK Mia - as if we weren't already bummed about learning of your size 6!!! You gotta show us too??! :) just kidding...

Don't know the general rule - but my RE said sex & orgasms are ok until ET. Just a matter of whether or not you feel up to it!!
