The last will be in Feb, but he said after talking with me and looking at the other 2 apps/resumes I should "be confident in hearing back from them". He said he doesn't decide pay, it is some congressional act (ok not really but the process is done by some group of head honchos in New Orleans) and they would fight to bump my pay as high as possible to get as "competitive" as they can with the market, but at the highest, it would still be a $25k pay cut...Still livable for me and the benefits would probably be worth $25k to me. The process is long which is good for me...takes me closer to my quit day...but even my mom and I are totally plotting against my current employer and thinking of just telling em I'd back down to part time (only every other weekend) til my contract is up hahahah...insert EVIL laugh here!      So I feel good....plus I paid off my house painters today so now I have an extra $200 a month :D

wow, $25k pay cut - sounds alot! Your job must be really hell, if you're willing to take that sort of cut - but it sounds promising - any indication as to when you will find out??

I know it sounds like a lot but the pay difference between retail and hospital is quite that dramatic. The other hospital may pay more yes and the job will probably be quite different so that will make it that much more thrilling :) Oh and I heard from the Navy job today. My resume is on the selecting official's desk for review and consideration :)

I won't hear about the next step in today's interview until probably early/mid Feb (the next interview is Feb 13 so that is fine). From there, more paperwork would be required if I was to be one of the 2 selected. That is a LOT of paper and it takes about a month to complete they said. Then I have to wait to get an appointment letter. All in all probably won't know anything til mid March on this one.

ok ladies I need a nap, this damn waiting for AF is wearin me out!

Hello Nims, Congrats on your first pic of the beanie. I am so looking forward to having that done myself, when the time comes.

Jen, good luck in Barcelona. Looking forward to hearing how it went.

Angie, where are you? I looking forward to hearing about your numbers being much much higher.

Congrats on your interview Steph.

Hope your headache gets better Lara.

Nims - Love the piccie. You can really see the jaws on mine too, I guess the teeth are developing inside.
I tried to post my pic last night but my scanner died. Will be at my sister's this weekend so will borrow hers then.
Thanks for the info on hair dyes. What else does it say in your book about hair? Everything I've read says that its usually really gloosy and in good condition during pregnancy but mine's just been limp and greasy even tho' I wash it every day like always.

Jen1d - Hope I haven't missed you. Good luck for your trip to BB. Will be thinking of you coming back PUPO Image

Angie - where are you? what's the news?

Stephjim - I was also told to carry on as normal after iui, just no swimming for first day. I took them at their word and went to the gym etc on first couple of cycles but didn't really feel comfortable about it so I slowed down and rested more with later cycles. Who knows whether it made any difference?

Steph and Hope - Not sure what else we can do to bring on AF. We've tried the jigs, we've tried the stern talking to, maybe a little begging and pleading?
ImageImageImage

Steph - congrats on the interview, it sound like you wowed them! Yes, the salary difference between retail and hospital is huge here too but most of the pharmacists I work with wouldn't do retail as its too business focused and not clinical enough.

Becky - hope the job's continuing to improve.

Hey Ladies :D

Ok, i am gonna try and catch up and remember everything - i hav 2 pages open so im cutting and pasting one to the other - so this is gonna be a biggie (i like biggies lol) Im gonna quote so bear with me ok :?
waitingforMia wrote:Chriss: Mine are mailed to me, so no tip for my mail man. I tip my hairdresser over 20%! If it is 80$ I give him a hundred.
$80 for ur hair done - im lucky to get a dry cut these days for £6.50 LOL

Why do you need to be awake??, Ooohh you probably haven't been married long.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA very witty ...
pequele wrote:is that an innie or an outtie?
ROTFFLMFHO HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA u header Steph, u really make my day!
chriss wrote:I had blood drawn toda but today for the first time I noticed some extra red marks under the skin about an inch away from the spot where the needle went in. Could they be bruises or something? Never happened before. strange.
Dont think it infection hun, just brusing. When i had my blood test done on Tues, i got back to work and tht my arm felf sticky - and when i took my coat off, it was STILL bleeding! Not the first time that has happened either - strange tho for it to be still bleeding half hour after - was all down my arm and all over my desk! Any idea ladies????
Jen1d wrote:Thanks girls for all your good wishes for Saturday. If i dont catch up with you tomorrow then keep your fingers crossed for my embies thawing (thats the bit i'm worried about) and see you on the 30th.
Shit! Sorry hun i missed ya - well know that im thinking of ya - u go get ur babies hun and come back PUPO :D Good Luck Xxxxx

the bit to the right is the head and to the left is the feet or so i was told! Silly question, although they have no teeth as such when they are born, are they developing now? - dunno about you but looks like a row of teeth here!
Awwwwwwww Hun, thats lovely - thank u for sharing him/her with us - and yes they do have teeth developing now, some babies are born with em - a bit painful if ur breast feeding tho dont u think lol. Did i miss summit cos everyone is calling her a 'her' i tht u was having a surprise??

Ok - i think thats it for the quotes at the mo - i know they might not make sense as some of them are from pages ago - but i had to comment on them, they made me laff so much. Right - personals now ....

Nims: Congrats on ur first trimester (i think i already said that in a posting - but wot the hell, i'll say it again lol) Hope ur taking things nice and easy and looking after urself :) Hugs to u and ur wee one xxx (wait for Steph to come back and comment on 'ur wee one' lol)

Hope: Think i read there somewhere that u was away - driving for 10 hours? And ur mother is 85?????? How wonderful to have ur mum still about - i'd have loved to have shared all this with my mum - i know she would have loved being a Nana (grannie/grandma) she died when i was nine, and she had eight kids, so i know she loved having wee ones about! Anyway - thank u for the nice comment about my profile pic on FB - the handsoome gent with me is my DH (i told him what u said lol, and he said - tell her im available for hire - but only at the weekends as its double time lol) He is lush isnt he???? Corrrrrrrrr lol  Hey lets 'hope' we get to cycle together - i could do with a cycle buddy :)

Steph: You must be on drugs or summit hun - u really arnet well in the head lol - u must be so much fun to go out on the piss with - maybe one day eh? That comment about the innie or outtie i was crying laffing here - i dont know where u get ur wit from but i do love it :D About the clinic giving me birth control pills - they wouldnt do that because the list here is huge and it wouldnt be fair to bring me fwd a mth when the other women who maybe due for their AF on 31st Jan have been on the list as long as me. It works differently over here as i am not paying for this cycle, last time i paid and got a cycle a mth after i saw the DR (ive been on this list since Feb last year) If i have to wait untill Feb cycle, then im prepared to do that - at least its not Aug like i tht :D

Stephjim: I got ur invite on FB - but as the other girls on here have said - u do know that we are 'normal people' over there - its only here we get to be mental lol. I mean we dont mention IVF there as there are family members on my FB and some friends that dont know about it. Anyway after saying all that - i want to congratulate u on having ur DH's taddies engaging with ur eggs as we speak - just imagine this - ur egg is there brushing her hair, trying to look her best cos she has a zillion taddies after her - she must be gawjuss, and sitting there just waiting for them to 'get in there my son' LOL - happy thoughts

Su:About all the different dates u were given at the scan - i dont know how they get to that either - but i do know that my first daughter was exactly 5 days early and 5 days late!!!! Acording to my AF dates she was due on 17th June and according to the scan dates she was due on the 6th June - and she came exactly inbetween on the 12th! But because the scan dates said the 6th - they put down on my medical forms that i was pg for 41 weeks, where as i tht i was 39 - complicated i know :? As u say tho, it will arrive when its good and ready! Have u thought (if u dont mind me asking) are u having a birth partner with u??? I only asked cos i dont like to think of u on ur own! If u need one - im ur lady

Rachel: LOL @ ur sudden liking to soap powder - i dont know about u, but i ALWAYS take the tops off softner to smell it b4 i buy it, cos u can get some really nasty smells (usualy the basic make lol) i like the yellow Lenor and the yellow comfort - i could sniff all day lol. Hope ur headache clears soon, Hey - maybe u got one cos ur in Asda's sniffing Daz lol - hugz xxx

Mia: Do u really pay that much for ur hair - i mean in the FB pic - u dont have any - i wouldnt have paid for that, i think he cut a bit too much off lol .... Bummer about ur anniversary being on ur 2ww - but think of it like this, wot a present for an anniversary u will have - ur embies back where they belong :D

Phew - i know i have missed loads of u lovely ladies, but i have cramp in my fingers (from all the typing Steph - stop making things up lol) Work is going a lot better - i think i feel like this cos i miss my old job, i so loved my old job and every time i think about it i feel a pang in my belly and im so gutted i had to leave :( But hey - its not the end of the world - i still call in there to see them, and they still keep in touch with me (already been mailing each other with my new email addy at work lol) which is about all i can do cos everything else is blocked!!

Right ladies, i have to go and lift DD from work at 10.15 so i better get ready, will talk to u all soon .... Oh ...

ICSI What about these beta results hun - i just know they have shot up - but to what????????? Come on tell usssssssss - i will peep in when i get back in half hour or so ...

Becky Xxx

Gawd - that was a biggie lol X

Hi guys, I've been very busy all day and have not had time to check in and write. I read a ton of posts and sounds like everyone is moving along nicely.
Nimble, the sonogram picture is awesome! Sooooo very happy for you.

Su, look forward to seeing yours soon.

Jen, bestest of luck girlie! Try to stay positive

Hope, think you are away, right?

Steph, glad interview was a success. Now big decision ahead.

Mia, sounds like you have big decision too.

ICSI, eagerly awaiting good news.

I know I missed a bunch of ya. Wishing the very best for all of you special girls. I'm getting all corny again, must be the stimms. Started them last night and moving right along. The pen is easy! Had to mix powders other times. Anyway, got the fire going and looking forward to reading your posts! -chriss

Ok I'm up from my nap...and the biotch STILL isn't here! If she isn't here by the morn I'm calling the nurse to tell her I'm broken!

Angie-????where are you :(

Becky you are cracking me up....oh brb I need to go stir dinner quickly! Ok back. You are crackin me up! As far as belly buttons go, I tell one of m pregnant co-workers (she's 5 mo and keeps going on and on about how she wishes she was done) I tell her she isn't done til her belly button pops out...I think I freaked out the girl...oh well that's what you get when babies have babies right  ps I think the 85yr old is Hope's granny not mom... and as far as "wee ones" I coooould make a comment on that, but we call em that too. But since Nims THINKS she is having a girl that is why I say she...and she doesn't have a weewee in that case, well she does but it is an innie too  PS you won't get cramps in yur fingers if you'd stop teachin Nims baby how to pick her nose :)

Steph- how many movies did you see tonite? Did you do your visualization excersizes (how do you spell that Mia??) picturing the swimmers meeting up with eggie fer a splended time? I tried to make me a personal jig on that site but when I cut and pasted it here, it no worked :(

Su thanks for the prayers...I know it is ONLY CD 31 but it is 17 days after I last O'd so now I'm getting worried. She is making my mind crazy (uh crazier!)

Nims- I know I'm in demand, but it is the govt, I can't negotiate with the govt! I like the chances though of getting all national holidays off (or IF I do have to go in to work the inpatient side once in awhile, I actually get paid for the holiday AND time and a half...unlike my current hell I work in!)

Ok ladies, my red beans and rice are done...that's in honor of you Hope :D You KNOW I will be around tonite!
Steph
