I couldn't just tell ya, in case you were like, UGH! I don't want to know!!!

So, without further ado, she said that if you have oily hair and/or skin, you are likely carrying a GIRL!!!

I guess we'll see if the old wives' tale is true!!

yup the foot one never hurt..for me it was the rib one, the wrists and the 3 fingers above the ankle! my wrists and ribs hurt like hell!!! those were the tender ones when I started too. the ankle one hurts but not like the others!

I'm out to go have some lunch with a friend...picked up my clomid today :) Then I have to head to Home Poopot and get some groceries too! WOW my day is EXCITING!!!!

Yep, I like that answer. The chinese gender calculator says its a girl too and so did my dream. Also, if you look down the female line in my family everyone has a girl first (last 3 generations at least, don't know further back)

Hello everyone...just popping in to say hello.

Steph-Oh, yeah the Dr. said I will have to use OPK as well. It really sucks how it is so time sensitive. That is why I was thinking of a double insemination? What do you think about that? Any thoughts would be great. I am so happy AF came... :D YEA! Do you get your Clomid from Walmart? It is only $9 there. I will check out that bank. Yes I know what you mean about the profiles being so expensive. They do not give anything for free!!LOL

Hope & Angel-I am sending you AF vibes  I hope she visits you both soon!!

Su-Not sure if I congratulated you already, but I am so happy for you and BABY!!! I remember stalking the threads waiting on your news....I am thrilled for you. If you do not mind, when you got the BFN's did you or the Dr decide to up your meds? Also, did your Dr ever mention a double insemination? I cannot wait to see the pic of your little miracle! Thank you for always making me feel welcome.

Well hope everyone had a great day/night! Talk to you soon!

No, I don't mind at all. The doctor changed me from clomid to menopur 'cos after 3 cycles I was becoming reisitant to clomid. Even with menopur I still only got 1 mature follie so I asked to increase my dose and the doc agreed. They are very cautious in the UK and would have cancelled the cycle if I'd got 4 or more follies but from what I've heard they seem to be more aggressive with meds in the US.
I initially asked my nurse about double insems quite early and she said they will do it if people insist but there's no evidence to show it improves the chances. I then asked the doctor before the last cycle and he just said no, it makes no difference and he wouldn't put me through that for no reason.
I don't know what success rate you've been quoted, I was told 15% per cycle (same as natural conception) which I figured is between 1 in 6 and 1 in 7 so I was prepared to try 6 or 7 times. Well that's what I said at the beginning but almost gave up at 5, so glad I didn't.

Oops, I seem to have done a 'Steph'. You asked a little question and got an essay in reply. Sorry but hope it helps

Yes as soon as I hit 12 weeks my belly suddenly expanded. Fortunately I lost a little weight last year so I'm know back into the trousers that were too big but I really need to get some maternity stuff soon, I miss my jeans so much :( I always thought I'd want big baggy clothes to hide my bump but now its happening I just want to show it off.

Yes they're all really happy. My parents hadn't been that supportive whilst I was ttc but they seem excited now.
We told my 4 year old niece yesterday that she would be getting a new cousin and the grin on her face was a picture.
I really hope eveyone else on here gets to experience this sometime soon. It really is amazing

What do you call the thing you use on your car (or actually what you are SUPPOSED to use) when you are turning or changing lanes...and no Becky, I don't mean your middle finger  I call it a blinker or a ticker...but here in New England some call it a directional...how gay is THAT! I just thought of it in the store cuz it was soooo damn crazy and crowded some guy was trying to get in an aisle and some guy was coming out and he said "sorry I forgot to use my directional." Whatever you dork!

OOOOO Miss America is on tonite! I have been watchin em get torn to shreds on the TLC show (Miss America Overhaul or whatever) currently Stacy and Clinton are killin em haha. LOVIN' IT! OMG if some of these girls are the best that their state has to offer, I am SO moving to that state so I can be considered beautiful if THAT is beautiful! Of course I don't wanna wear earrings bigger than my tiara! WHAT a fashion faux paux...however you spell it :D OH DAMN Miss Vermont has flabby arms...I feel better already!!!!Image

I get them at the hospital where I go...only because I am too familiar with the pharmies at Walmart....being a local one myself  I don't need all of them up in my business haha. It is only $27 at the hopsital....vs $45 at my store :) I will have to get the trigger shot through a mail order because even my clinic doesn't like using the hospital pharmacy for that..."they screw it up too much" haha.

I debated on the double iui...I decided against it only because of costs more per cycle...another vial another insem cost. I was told if the 1 is timed right having 2 doesn't really increase your chances. I am really jealous of those that can do the iui then turn around and "back it up" by gettin busy on their own  Everyone has their preference but I know I have read plenty of women getting pregnant with just 1 try, so I am sure it is more than enough :)

Yup the profiles are a huge cost of the process, too that was why I like cryogenics a lot!
