next time rub her chest and ask her when she got the implants???
That's not that bad ... I had a patient that I hadn't seen in two years. I hugged him when I said hello. He immediately put his hand on my stomach and said, "I can see that you're not pregnant." I was in shock.
Next time grab his balls and say " Aww still not a man yet Stan??"

I actually told most people that we were doing it originally and then just a few after that. Everyone that does ask questions are very nice about it and are gentle when they ask. Usually I have not told when I go in for an insemination.

Honestly, and I am not saying poor me, but my mom did not act that interested in the fact that I was even trying to get pregnant, let alone that i was having to do fertility means. My younger sister, who most people say looks older than me, is the prize one. She got married at a younger age and had kids so they are the first grandkids, you know?

I even schedule separate times for my mom and dad to be around my stepchildren because they don't get an equal amount of time when my neice and nephew are around.

Ok, I vented and no more poor little me. All that counts is that myself and DH are excited for it.

that's right! but you know maybe she is just uncomfortable about it..talkin about it I mean. My mom, now that she knows doesn't really say much, but I know when I first told her I when I was pregnant was a little shocked (granted at least for you guys you have a spouse so it is "normal" to be trying haha) but then she seemed excited. She didn't say a whole lot, but a hug and sorry when I had to have the D&C but she asks on occasion, have you tried again? Yesterday she said...are you pregnant yet  Yeh outta the blue. Uh no, thanks for reminding me haha. Nah she just wanted to know cuz my parents would be out of the country the end of Sept and beginning of Oct so she wouldn't be there for me (seeeee God DID have a plan in mind). I told her not to worry cuz WHEN this round works, I'd be due the end of Oct beginning of Nov now! Other than that she doesn't really talk about it much with me...my dad HA yeh NOT something he ever brings up haha

Becky - Sorry AF decided to drop in early and uninvited. Haven't you got another bum op coming up? Maybe next AF would be better timing what with that and your new job. I'm glad you're ok about it, you want everything to be just right.
I hope the flu's improvingImage

A word of warning about the cat - if you feed it you'll never get rid of it. And that comes from a cat lover. I have 3 but wouldn't feed another just 'cos its hanging around. Has it got a collar with the owner's details maybe?

Steph - Sorry you're suffering so much with the cramps. Maybe all that poking summoned up AFs from all over :( Now you need to share with Hope and Angel, ok?

Miracle - Welcome to our thread. I see you are enjoying the madness. June really isn't too far when you think about it and you have a vacation in between to look forward to. Your last vacation before you get grounded for 9 months.

Mia - how about the Young and Infertile? Althought Steph's mad suggestions were evern better. Ooohhh.....no more injections for you. How lovely is that? Bet you're excited about tomorrow. Just pre warn your dad on Thursday (maybe get DH to call him) that you have caught an infection for which you need a lot of rest. That way you have no explaining to do. My mum and dad both know. So does DH's immediate family. Apart from that, no one.

Stephjim - hope you are resting up. Has that cold cleared yet? When do you test?

Hope - AF is still not here. :( Felt all the symptoms since Thursday but nothing is happening. Even wore white panties today to tempt her.

Becky - glad you're positive about AF starting earlier than you hoped. Hey, look at it this way, Feb/ Mar cycle is better than July like you were originally expecting. Hope you're feeling better.

Steph, almost time for you to go to hell after 4 days! Boy, I sure am glad not to be in your place. Loved your counter statements about insensitive people. I was in splits - don't think I'd be able to pull that off though.
I'll just imagine saying that to someone the next time someone makes a silly comment

Having said that, I don't think that people who know are any more sensitive. My SIL knows and the only thing she could think about when she found out we were going for the next cycle is the inconvenience to her family, cause Feb isn't a good time. And she asked why we can't postpone it to end of the year or next year? This is someone who had her kids exactly when she planned to have them.

I've tried so many things today to bring AF on, but looks like she wants to play around with me. Things is that my line manager does know that I'm going for an IVF cycle. And he's happy to be supportive but he needs firms dates so that he can support my case (to be inactive) when they do their planning. Just don't know how to explain to him that those dates are dependant on bloody AF!!!! Aaarrgghhh.

Great suggestions for the thoughless people who ASSume things. My whole family knows what's up. My good friends know. As far as work people, my closest work friends know the real deal. The rest just keep speculating about me. I did gain weight, that's no lie. And I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks last year. (So I was a tad chunky then) Plus I'm late ALL THE TIME! I have to drive 50 minutes west before work then about and hour and 20 minutes East to get to work. So, I get to work late and everyone stares as if I couldn't get out of bed. PLUS... there's tons of teachers here who are preggo! So they lump me in cause I'm now a chunky moneky. I just don't talk about it at work any more. It's been going on for a long time. TOO LONG. My parents are supportive. I wasn't so sure how my dad would take it all, but he surprised me. Maybe it helped him to be open minded when we found out that I have an inherited genetic blood clotting disorder that very likely was the cause of the m/c. (Genetic... as in passed down from parent :? ) Sorry I am venting, know what you mean Stephjim, had to let it out. No more poor me. ANyway, no need to keep going down that road...
The new road is the one where I am pregnant and I'm headed toward it as we speak. Looks like retrieval will be most likely this weekend. Will know more as the week progresses.

Angel, sorry AF is sooooo stubborn. She's got a mind of her own. Here when we don't want her and vacant when we do.

tryw8 - tell us about yourself, why don't ya????

Mia, it's true about that kitty. If you feed her, she'll keep coming around. Has anyone is neighborhood lost a cute little kittie? Put up a sign??? Lucky you, no shots tonight! Wow. We get so used to it, don't we. Are you getting excited for retrieval??? Silly question.

Hi girls, once again, I have to post and run. I'll check in later. Thinking of you all! - chriss
