Hey girls!! Did you miss me?? I guess not cuz no one said they missed me :( :P

Well I just got home from teaching ... soo tired. I am gonna take a nap but wanted to whine a bit first:
I woke up several times to go pee last night (I never do) and around 4 am I woke up in severe pain cramp like pain very low like in my bladder. I thought it was gas, since I have been so gassy, but it was much lower. I tried to use the Restroom to see if that would alleviate it, but no. I was in pain for an hour almost. I finally put the heating pad and the pain started going away. Today I am sore to the touch (more than yesterday). It was almost like a cyst bursting. My RE said it is uncommon and it might be a bladder infection, but he doesn't want to put me on antibiotics the day before ET (ommm isn't that what Doxyc. is??) confused. So here is my question could it be cuz dh and I cheated and had sex 2 days ago?? But there was no pain that night??! Ok enough blabbing about my poor pains..

HOPE: SOOOOO glad AF finally found you!!! I guess she got lost??

AF found someone else too, but I can't remember who?? Man know I know how it feels to go to bed early and then get on the next day with pages and pages of bs to have to sift through

Questions - you were calling people with your "old" job and contracts and stuff but nobody knew the answers??? Sounded like they were giving u a bit of the run around...?

I guess it is a weekend of SUPER CONTACT SPORTS, eh??!! Rugby for our UK girls and FOOTBALL (American style, of course) for US girls! Lots o' boys in tight pants(4 us anyway) and gettin' all hot & sweaty! ;)
Hope: You forgot my ET tomorrow... that's a contact sport right??? :) I will make sure dh wears tight pants, but alas, no gettin hot and sweaty for me tomorrow :(

My 2 daughters used to go to school all dressed up as welsh ladies - and no doubt Rachels little girl will too (wont she Rachel lol)

squeezan wrote: Odd that you have to pay extra for matching, that's what they do routinely here. You don't get much choice here but they only give you the option of donors that match DH's characteristics (or your own if you don't have a DH)
I think we get a lot more in choice here than you guys do. You don't really get all that much info either...like we can get a medical history which includes family medical, family member characteristics, personality tests, voice/interviews, pics, things like that. Can you get much info on your donor or does the clinic say...this one is yours? What if that donor doesn't work, can you get a new one?
squeezan wrote: Yes I plan on telling my child but, as Steph says, its probably easier for us as they're gonna ask why they've got no Daddy. I heard that they are actually thinking about making it compulsory to tell the child here. Not sure how that would work.
Are you serious??? WHY??? Are they gonna flag the kid's passport??? Who's gonna tell em and at what age is it appropriate! Retarded! I don't care if people don't want to tell their kids...some people don't tell their kids they are adopted...who cares! I don't tell people they are ugly or stupid biotches...(ok maybe not to their faces)....but it is the TRUTH!
squeezan wrote: Steph, isn't it lovely when you get an unexpected quiet day in hell, I love that. Unfortunately mine was the opposite. Friday is usually the best day of the week but for some reason it went mad yesterday. Maybe all the sick people moved here to avoid your weather  Image
omg it was bliss...but then today kinda sucked of course. But partially cuz we are trying to train a newbie...uh yeh, don't get me started! We are soooo gonna run this one off cuz they have no possiblity of getting trained correctly, just a bunch of crap thrown at them....trial by fire! I don't think the sickos from here moved...they just hibernated for a few hours...but I'd gladly send em your way....most don't have teeth so keep a look out fer em!Image

Steph
ps watch out for those prams with no wheels...makes em HARD to push :)

chriss wrote: Not much action on here right now I see. I am back from appointment which was hours ago and here I am again so soon. Well, looks like iui this time. I am fine with that. Don't want to spend all the Moolah on IVF if there are only 3 or 4 eggs retrieved this cycle. Hoping that the IUI does us right. Looks like I take the trigger tonight around 5pm and go in tomorrow morning for IUI #1 then back in on Monday for IUI#2. We do two because DH has sperm problems. The first IUI seems a bit early if you ask me, but I am trying to let go and not keep questioning EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME!

Woo Chirss! I am glad you made your decision and you are happy with it! This is all you will need!!! I don't think the timing is too soon, maybe he thinks you are close to releasing the eggies or he wants to give a batch of swimmers a head start. Who knows you could be on your way to your own set of quads!!! You and Mia!!!!!

PSSHH no problem...I once started as a person who had 5 kabillion questions in this quest! Heck...now that I am moving to a monitoring and US cycle for the 1st time, I am in a whole new ball game again myself!

Are you going to be doing meds when you do IUI?

um ok, #1 yeh Doxy is an antibiotic...but what is your dose. It may not help a uti...and #2 LOVE the "it's uncommon"...uh yeh UNCOMMON, not impossible right! Maybe you could mention it again tomorrow and they may be able to do a urine test. #3 yup doing the sin could have gotten you a uti, but so could have the doctor (which with timing would have been much more likely the cause). They do some of the procedure vaginally right?

Do they use an us when putting the embies back? Maybe they can take a look and check for cysts then too.

Have you had frequent urination and more pain today??

Sucky...I say have some ice cream!

Its not quite as bad as 'this ones yours' but not far off - for me it was 'this one or that one? or you can wait and see what else comes up' I think I'd find it really hard if I'd had all your choices, I honestly have hardly thought about the donor, except for the occasional panic now. Su, thanks for the geography lesson and thanks for the PMA & well wishes. I'm feeling very good about the IUI. If we were doing IVF today, I wouldn't feel as confident with the number of eggs. Kinda wierd and hard to explain. I guess I feel this way because IUI worked for us last year with only 2 eggs (Had m/c at 7 1/2 weeks) But IVF has not worked yet with 10 eggs. Go figure.

Backy & Rachel, great about your team winning! Oh Becky... had no idea ghost is a man!!! NO WAY. Here I am picturing a woman every time!

Steph, feeling good about IUI. Sorry I wasn't up last night to chat with you. I bet you're looking forward to the monitored cycle. It's cool to watch it all happen.

Mia, thinking of you today!!!!

I know I missed a whole bunch of ya, but gotta go make a baby. We are out the door. I'll be back later. Thanks again for everything you guys. You are soooooo important to me. Love-chriss
