I had consciuos sedation for my ER and woke up both times due to pain. But it is tolerable. Went home and rested. ETs were not a big deal at all, really just like a pap without the scraping

. My clinic requires that the DH be present for the ET, not sure why, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They too also gave us pictures of the little embies being transferred. I hung them on my refirgerator the first go round. After BFN, had hubby toss them for me, couldn't look at them. Second time around, kept them in my jewelry box even though BFN, didn't toss them because even if for only a few days, they were my babies. Also this 3rd time they are in the jewelry box, won't toss these either no matter which way this turns out for me.
For the ET I had the choice to take a very low dose of valium, this helps you relax but also helps keep the uterin contractions away. I took it, really didn't feel groggy or drugged due to such a low dose, but didn't feel any cramping either, so... it really is a matter of comfort.
